As I’ve said many times before and will harp on again I’m sure, the Save the Dates you send are the first things your guests see and they truly do set the tone for the wedding. Stationery will always be my first love, so I took special care to make sure that my Save the Dates clearly expressed how I wanted my event to look and feel. But there are many options, and you certainly don’t have to go as formal as I did – this can be the time to play and have fun!
So how should you tell your family and friends to Save the Date? Save the Dates can give as little or as much information as you desire, but at the bare minimum give your guests the luxury of your names, the date, and the city so that travel information can be made, if necessary. Keep the Save the Date fun, if you like, but in your theme and colors. You don’t want to look back later and have a beautifully matched stationery set and a Save the Date that just doesn’t fit in.
