Here’s a tall cool glass of pink for a Friday afternoon.

Happy Weekend!
A.
Today’s current crush is berry beautiful! I have long loved the tone of a vivid raspberry pink, and although it’s bright and fun, berry is also flirty and romantic, and perfect for your wedding color palette. Pair with crisp white, a touch of yellow, and softer pink tones and the result is fabulous!
Hi, everyone! Cyd from The Sweetest Occasion here. As a color junkie I’m loving Color Week and am really excited to be contributing this pretty color palette. Inspired by an earthy yet feminine feel, I chose a palette of aqua, peach and berry accented with soft neutrals. I love the pairing of simple materials with warm wood grain. A tiny touch of metallic adds just the right amount of glam.
Every year my mom sends me this and I think it’s neat to see which colors are predicted to be the trends for that season. It starts out talking the color trends for Summer 2010:
While I’m the first one on board for a 1980s Prom Party or a Tacky Christmas Sweater Holiday Fete, thematic weddings were just never my style. Sure, I’ve seen them gorgeously and creatively executed by other brides, but my ideas for our wedding just didn’t seem to fit into any sort of simply categorized box.
Michelle writes in to ask for some input and ideas for her amazing color scheme:
Hey everyone! It’s finals week for me here in my MBA program, and with all that studying, I needed a little rest for the eyes… so I created an inspiration board for Bea, who requested a board based on shades of pink and gray.
Happy weekend, EAD! Goodness, the weeks are going by so quickly. I can hardly keep up! it’s just been such a fast month, I can’t believe it’s already almost the second week of March!
After getting engaged I suddenly realized that I was completely out of my element. I did not have a clue about how to pull off a budget friendly wedding let alone what the vision of our wedding should look like. I quickly discovered hundreds of amazing wedding blogs (like EAD), photographers, and other online resources all full of amazing wedding details and inspirations.
I love vintage items, especially repurposing trinkets and treasures in new and interesting ways.
A spot of gorgeousness to get your weekend started. Rarely do my inspiration boards turn out like this – usually it is a collection of coordinated and cohesive photos, but in this case it actually appears to be one event!
I, like many other brides, future brides, and little girls, have been a wedding fanatic since I can remember. I have issues of Martha Stewart Weddings and InStyle Weddings dating back to 1998– 10 whole years before my wedding day! I decided, on one rainy Saturday, to go through all of my magazines and start tearing out the images, articles, and advice that I really liked and felt inspired by. I wasn’t sure if I would ever use any of these ideas for my future wedding, but I was ready to get organized! I filed all of my ideas in binders with page protectors (nerd alert!) and used pretty color-coded dividers to get it all organized.Â
Happy Memorial Day! Inspired by those hot fiery summer days that take your breath away….
Okay, so not literally, but today’s post is carrying on a week of weddingregionalism posts and I pulled together an inspiration board for an Oregon wedding that uses all things Oregon. Every photo in the board relates to either Oregon or unique services or designs available in the state. Just a bit of inspiration to show you that it can be done. Why don’t you try with you city of choice? Help your local artisans and also employ some weddingregionalism by choosing themes that match your region of choice.
Recently, a bride I have been working with for her hair piece mentioned that her wedding will take place in a rather unique location. The desert. Not the typical wedding location choice, but the more I thought of it, the more I began to think how fantastic the idea was! Doesn’t it just sound a bit adventurous in the Lawrence of Arabia kind of way? I thought it would be a great way to also address my weekly theme of weddingregionalism (see Sunday’s blip for an explanation).
One of our favorite bloggers, Jessica Lynn from Tying the Knot is in need of some inspiration for her plum, raspberry, and gold wedding in Indianapolis late this summer. Here is her RSVP card as an example of the gorgeous look she’s going for:
As you can see, pink week isn’t going away just yet. Inspired by a few of the pink pictures from this weekend, I decided to try my hand at a new color scheme for me – raspberry and chartreuse.
The inspiration for today came from Cara’s wonderful Peonies and Polaroids blog. I simply love what she put together for her RSVP cards and decided it made a perfect start for an inspiration board!
