Laura Hooper Calligraphy

When we decided to make advertising slots available on the Library, we contacted several vendors that we know personally to be of the highest quality to see if they wanted to be a part of the initial launch, and were so pleased when many of them accepted. You have seen the work of each of them on the blog already, but we thought it would be fun to take you behind the scenes for a short Q&A*.

If you’ve been following EAD for any amount of time, you know that we have a soft spot in our hearts for Laura Hooper. Not only is her work just fabulous, but she is one of the sweetest people you will ever know. I personally am working with Laura on several projects for my own vow renewal.

So who is Laura? Laura is a stationer specializing in couture maps, calligraphy and invitations for a traditional feeling with a modern twist. Laura’s repertoire includes over 25 different styles of calligraphy!

We asked Laura why she worked in the wedding industry and how much she loved it. She says:

Because I can’t stand a cubicle – no because I have to have an artistic outlet, and I am inspired everyday by nature and architecture. I love being in the industry. Working for myself is so fulfilling, and helping brides achieve their vision for their weddings is also a great source of pride for myself. It’s challenging sometimes, but I really, truly, love what I do.

From working with Laura, I know that she puts the highest amount of effort and care into her work and truly does care about her clients. This is why she was chosen to be a part of the Library launch! Please browse Laura’s blog and website for more great inspiration.

*Please know that we would never compromise this blog’s integrity by giving a biased opinion on a paid listing. We contacted our initial sponsors based on the fact that we personally know and admire their work, and our Q&A sessions with them are in no way a part of the advertising on the Library, rather they are a glimpse into some of our favorite vendors.
