I hope you are ready for the gorgeousness that is this wedding. Molly married Bill on May 24th, 2008 at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia. Tim Willoughby shot the wedding and you know it’s some good eye candy if Tim was there!
Molly and Bill are a such a stylish couple….
I love the mischievous look Molly has in the top left photo.
Bill is rocking some awesome hair! My husband will be very envious.
The light makes me sigh; so incredibly perfect.
The venue looks like the perfect mix between modern and vintage.
The triumphant entry and toasts….
The love Molly and Bill’s family have for them and for each other really shows in these images. I want to give her Dad a hug!
You can see ALL of the fabulous images here on Tim’s site. Molly is a co-founder of Partial Comfort Productions in NYC. So if you’re in the city, be sure to check out a play!
After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.
We are head over heels for Lauren and Taylor’s chic blue-and-white San Francisco wedding! Lauren, a wedding planner herself, immediately began pulling together ideas after Taylor’s proposal, so that—with the help of Ryder Sloan Events—they could have an outdoor affair to remember. She started with the location, Stable Cafe. The urban garden space was a great backdrop for a collection of blue-and-white ginger jars filled with florals from Mandolin Flowers. Plumosa fern garlands and cafe lights added an air of sophistication, while classic arrangements of hydrangeas, anemones, and roses accented tables covered with Swiss dot linens from La Tavola. Lauren wore her cousin’s couture Carolina Herrera Bridal gown with embellished blue Manolo Blahnik heels, a Christmas gift from Taylor; her bouquet was wrapped with long pieces of vintage lace and blue velvet ribbon. Amy Nichols Special Events ensured the day ran smoothly from start to finish, which included transforming the courtyard after the ceremony into a luxe space for dinner and dancing, along with lounging areas outfitted with seating from One True Love Vintage Rentals. Later in the evening, guests sipped warm spiked cocktails from the DIY coffee bar, the perfect accompaniment to a salted caramel wedding cake from Cake Coquette—the design of the dessert mimicked the ginger jar pattern. We are just in total love with all of these fabulous images from Julie Mikos!
When the bride is from Texas and the groom is from Australia, you can’t find a more beautiful middle ground on which to hold your nuptials than Hawaii, and that’s why Elysia and Bryce chose Haiku Mill for their destination wedding. With the lush island landscape all around, Elysia chose understated colors to ground the decor, such pink and cream florals from Dellables and a vintage vibe with decor such as hanging chandeliers and glass and silver accents. Bridesmaids wore gray gowns that softly accented Elysia’s column-style gown, a classic look that’s unexpected but gorgeous. Vintage lace accents on her veil are stunning, and we love the bold look of her bright blue shoes paired with the traditional gown. Enjoy these ethereal images from Tamiz Photography!
When a bride and groom are both in the creative industry, you know that the attention to detail and personality of their wedding will be perfect. Add in a shared love for Italy and theatre and you have a day that’s perfectly unique! Miriam and Tom’s English wedding stole my heart at hello. Miriam is radiant in her Suzanne Neville gown and custom lace bolero, selected for its similarity to her late grandmother Miriam’s gown, and of course we adore Tom’s traditional morning suit by Six. To bring in their Italian theme, the couple handmade Venetian gold masks for each guest, which was paired with a scrolled poem to create the wedding favor. Each table at their reception at Chiddingfold’s Ramster Hall was named after an Italian city, and props and scripts from a production of The Merchant of Venice—where Tom proposed—were framed and displayed. Again honoring her grandmothers, Miriam selected their favorite flowers (peonies, roses, and stephanotis) for their centerpieces by Blush Floral Design. We are completely smitten with all of these lovely images from Aneta MAK!
You know when two wedding photographers are getting married, it’s bound to be spectacular! And such is Sarah and Matt‘s magical affair at Salvage One. The industrial, whimsical locale was perfect for pastel florals from Fleur, romantic candlelight, and vintage decor from BHLDN. We adore their invites, elegant but fun with silhouettes, from Love vs. Design. Sarah said no to traditional bridesmaids and matching dresses, and instead focused on a gorgeous classic gown from J.Crew for herself paired with glittery Kate Spade shoes. Special touches at the event, coordinated by Liven It Up Events, included desserts from Molly’s Cupcakes, mini burgers from The Slide Ride food truck, and custom cloth napkins by Dot & Army. We’re swooning over the amazing images by Pen / Carlson and we know you’ll agree that it’s one of our favorites of 2013!
Stephanie and John’s Los Angeles wedding, captured by Milou + Olin Photography, is classic with a touch of vintage glamour, and we’re in love! We don’t know about you, but we can’t seem to peel our eyes away from Stephanie — her light and airy trumpet style gown and silver Jimmy Choo heels are seriously stunning! And how about the bridesmaids’ charcoal colored dresses? The pink sash really adds a soft pop of color to their outfits! Stephanie and John’s reception, held in a ballroom at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, is awash in sophisticated gold and pearls. How sweet are the photo table numbers? What is your favorite detail?
Ashley and Joshua’s sweet wedding—held at the Holy Redeemer Childhood School Chapel in Marshall, Minnesota—shows off some of our favorite things about the winter season: deep coral bridesmaids dresses from Banana Republic topped with fabulous fur shrugs and feathers in the flowers done by Jessica Cattoor Design! Ashley wore her mother’s gown (she just had the sleeves removed), adding in a sentimental vintage element to the day. We didn’t think it could get any better until we saw Joshua’s awesome striped tie that complemented the rest of the color scheme. As always, Laura Ivanova Photography did a lovely job of capturing every last detail of Ashley and Joshua’s day!
Meghan and Michael enjoyed a two year engagement, during which time the bride planned every detail of their day to perfection. “We started collecting vintage mercury glass the second I said ‘yes,’†she said. Meghan Haney Designs would later use the vessels to create a vintage chic affair with soft white and pink blooms. Wente Vineyards was the stunning backdrop for this California wedding, where photographer Bret Cole snapped some incredible portraits outside the property’s wine caves. We adore the soft patterned linens from Napa Valley Linens and the couple’s creative use of wine barrels as cocktail tables! Do you have a favorite detail?
Hannah and Eddy’s wedding in Pasadena, California was so soft and romantic, just as the bride envisioned it! As a florist, Hannah wanted flowers to be a central theme of the event, and she created the bouquets and boutonnieres from peonies, lily of the valley, garden roses, ranunculus, anemones, astilbe and berzillia berries, while entrusting a talented friend to create the reception florals. At the reception, guests were invited to wrap up bouquets of lush blooms to take home as favors. Bridesmaids wore soft blue dresses from BHLDN, and we love the adorable flower girls in tulle skirts handmade by Hannah! The day was captured beautifully by Christine Farah Photography, and we can’t stop staring!
There is no better setting for a vintage Hollywood-inspired wedding than the gorgeous Villa Del Sol. Flor and Chris chose the historic downtown Fullerton site to celebrate their wedding with friends and family and it was the perfect venue to bring their vintage glam vision to life. Flor and her bridesmaids have incredible style and we’re swooning over their gorgeous dresses and accessories. The gold, blush, silver and ivory color palette is so chic, and we are crazy about the beautiful florals by The Blooming Branch. Their whole day was completely elegant, utterly glamorous, and simply gorgeous, and we adore these photos by Candice Benjamin Photography!
Tiffany and Jimmy wanted a low-key, classic wedding. They decided on a vintage theme and incorporated lots of antique details such as lace, baby’s breath, and antique bottles to the decor of their rustic venue, The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. My favorite vintage detail is Tiffany’s lace tea-length dress, and I just adore the powder blue VW bug getaway car! What an adorable weddingmobile! Thanks to Rebekah J. Murray for sharing these awesome photos of the incredibly cute couple and their wonderful day!
A secret garden hidden in the center of Chicago? Alyssa and Mark were on a mission to make it happen. A fantastic place to start was their venue, The Ivy Room, to which they added tons of vintage details: antique books, a vintage typewriter, wooden table numbers, and lace doilies. Even their invitations (the couple designed and made them!) remind me of a secret map. Dawn Roscoe took beautiful photos of their day and truly captured their secret Chicago garden feel!
If you’ve ever stopped by Once Wed before you probably noticed I am a HUGE fan of the fabulous wedding photographer, Leigh Miller. I always jump at a chance to post one of her weddings, so when I came across Erin and Michael’s gorgeous wedding I was delighted Leigh agreed to a feature on EAD.
Lauren and Sam were supposed to meet at a wedding. But despite both of their parents’ best efforts, they never actually met at that wedding. Their parents met at the bridal shower and thought that Lauren was perfect for Sam. When they got home, they told him all about the girl they met and conspired to get them together. Sam however, was interested in meeting a girl the bride posted a picture with, not someone his parent’s picked out for him and avoided their match-making. Come to the end of the night, Sam sees Lauren hug his parents goodbye and finally realizes that the girl from Instagram was the girl his parents wanted him to meet all along. In true millennial fashion, the next day Lauren got a Facebook message from Sam asking if she would give him another chance since he didn’t get to introduce himself to her at the wedding. A week later, they went on their first date, and 1,000 days later he’d be asking her to marry him.
Even though Anthony and Holly met at work, a full year went by before they first spoke. However, once they did, they soon clicked mainly because of their Latin heritage. They got engaged while staying at a beautiful Berkshires location. It was only the two of them in nature, Holly was looking for birds through the binoculars, and Anthony was on one knee when she turned around.
We are thrilled to share this beautiful elopement captured by Ashley Noelle Edwards. Lyka and Kenton held their romantic ceremony at the iconic San Francisco City Hall surrounded by friends and family, including some who flew in from the Philippines. They then took the ferry to Oakland for a charming intimate reception, including traditional tea ceremony at a fabulous restaurant overlooking the water.
