Real Weddings: Alli + Reid

There’s so much style and whimsy pouring out of every single moment of Megan and Bobby’s wedding! The couple selected a private estate in Santa Barbara as their venue, which the homeowner has aptly named “Villa della Famiglia”, and the unique, family-oriented charm was carried through in the decor, which was a colorful extension of the Italian villa feel. Megan designed the day to be a reflection of them as a couple: intimate, fun, and full of so much love. Her vision for the flowers was “bright, beautiful, and free-spirited” and Jenn Sanchez Design delivered in spades! From lush coral peonies to purple alliums, the colorful blooms lit up the tables on the estate’s grounds and paired beautifully with the intermixed fresh fruits. Megan hand-painted all of the signage and along with one of her bridesmaids, Rachel, all of the votive holders, as well as creating the honey jar favors. Not a detail was left unfinished, right down to the on-trend naked cake from Frost It Cupcakery! When asked about the day, there was no doubt that sharing their vows and emptying their hearts to each other surrounded by their dearest family and friends was the most unforgettable moment, followed closely by walking down the aisle to “Your Hand in Mind” by Explosions in the Sky, which reminded them of peaceful moments together stargazing. Sarah and Scott originally had a large celebration planned, but like many other brides, COVID changed that. In a cautious manner they decided to move forward with their wedding with just their 12 closest family and friends. Despite the small guest count, the design aspect was large. Their outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by banyan trees under the most stunning Chuppah. Reception was followed with the most divine tent with flowing florals and hints of citrus.

It’s Valentine’s Day, and as we all know, Valentine’s is meant to be enjoyed with the one(s) you love, so what better way to celebrate than with a fabulous Galentine’s Day brunch! Emily Elizabeth Events created this adorable “Girl Gang Gathering”, where she and several of her closest friends came together to sip, eat, chat, make Valentine’s Day cards, and create floral arrangements, and this is one party we wish we could attend! Pink and gold stationery from Paper Delights invited each lady to the gathering, where they were greeted with balloons festooning the entrance to Seattle’s Ollie Quinn and the most gorgeous tabletop with florals by Emily Elizabeth Events and dusty pink linens from La Tavola. We’re loving chic and modern details like acrylic standing mirrors, cut-out name place cards, and pink lip cookies, and the romance and elegance of the compote centerpieces, textured fabrics, and vintage trays displaying sips and bites. Galentine’s has never looked so fabulous and we are head over heels for every moment, captured beautifully on film by Blue Rose Photography!

Cat and Monte’s Santa Barbara wedding is a complete dreamland of colorful flowers, California sunshine, and undeniable love. Wedding Kate and Coco Rose Design created a stunning, unique ambiance overflowing with lush tropical florals, a palette of bright pinks and sophisticated pastels, and modern touches that evoke a Mediterranean vibe in the beautiful setting of Villa Verano. The couple rented the villa for their guests for five days, and rather than their wedding being a single evening, it instead became an entire gathering, where family and friends enjoyed time together vacationing and celebrating. This approachable, laidback feeling carried through the entire wedding, from the ceremony, officiated by a friend, where guests were given the book “Think About Someone You Love” by Dallas Clayton, to the reception on the terrace set beneath string lights amongst the rolling California hills. As an enormous dog-lover, Mary and Michael’s darling dog-themed wedding made me fall in love the moment I set eyes upon it! The couple selected the Havana 59 restaurant in Richmond to host their intimate gathering, and their wedding day was filled with handmade and personal details. Mary’s mother created lovely watercolor paintings for the stationery and guest book, which visually told the story of how the couple met and fell in love. Both being dog lovers—Mary is a dog photographer!—the couple knew they wanted to incorporate their puppy love into the wedding theme. Mary ordered dog figurines to serve as escort cards and hand-painted them gold, and designed the table numbers to feature different dog breeds. Their pup even made an appearance on custom stamps for the invitations! Kate Spade‘s Elena flats were the perfect finishing touch! We couldn’t be more smitten with this charming couple and the images from Michael and Carina Photography!

The setting for Allison and Sharif’s wedding could not have been more picturesque! Tucson’s Arizona Inn, with its charming courtyard and spacious ballroom was the perfect choice for their colorful and intimate soiree. Infusing a personal touch into their ceremony, the couple were married by Sharif’s sister, who was ordained for the occasion, and they wrote the entire ceremony themselves! Allison paired her Tara Keely gown from J Bridal Boutique with the veil handmade by her grandmother for her mother’s wedding. Allison and Sharif worked with Lindsay Bishop Events to bring their intimate, organic and fun vision to life, with a punchy color palette in shades of peach and orange. Posh Petals created bouquets and centerpieces of garden roses, roses, seeded eucalyptus, and ranunculus, and added a show-stopping orange and greenery garland to the display of multiple small cakes from Sugar Song Cakes. We’re loving all of the fresh and colorful images from Lexi Moody Photography!

We couldn’t think of a more lovely way to start the week than with a Taylor and Hagan’s fairytale wedding at Nestldown, a fairytale location set in the Santa Cruz mountains among the redwoods. The couple worked with Gavita Flora to create a setting bursting with color and whimsy, and befitting the location in its full bloom. Long farmhouse tables from Classic Party Rentals were set with crisp white china and a mixture of soft greenery, fresh fruit, and vibrant full blooms. Set against all of the colorful florals, the maids’ J.Crew gowns in the palest of ivory were angelic, but of course nothing could upstage Taylor in her stunning Hayley Paige gown from Haute Bride. This wedding has our whole heart. We are completely smitten by each gorgeous image from Anna Marks Photography!

New Orleans may be our most charming of cities, and Katie and Daniel’s wedding in The Big Easy is full of pure, simple elegance. Held at The Arbor Room at Popp Fountain, their March nuptials were set under clear blue skies fountainside, with a reception in the open, airy atrium. Poppy and Mint created gorgeous lush florals in shades of peach, yellow, pink, and coral. We’re especially in love with Katie’s gorgeous bouquet, its pastel tones a perfect match for her lace Maggie Sottero gown from Love Couture Bridal. Sweet Southern traditions abound, from a quintessential New Orleans Second Line dance to cake pulls in the pretty layered confection from Haydels Bakery. Matoli Keely Photography captured the images of the day with her usual magic—we know you will fall head over heels in love!

Oh, we can’t stop smiling about Christina and Dan’s wedding at Atlanta’s Callanwolde Fine Arts Center! We are in love with the bright and colorful palette of blush, coral, tangerine, and even a hint of saffron, designed by the talented Amy Osaba. But the details — from the amazing calligraphy wedding stationery to the unbelievably cute flower girl — ensure our cheeks will be sore from smiling! These amazing photos from Erin Hearts Court show an effortlessly gorgeous and fresh day full of love, and it makes us positively giddy!

Madeline and Andrew’s Salt Lake City wedding is is positively overflowing with personality and whimsy!  From the handmade tissue paper poms and string spheres hanging from the ceiling of Noah’s, to the bridesmaids dresses that Madeline lovingly chose for each of her ladies, to the Mad Libs, each little detail is perfectly suited to the couple and their loved ones.  We are hopelessly in love with the billowy, luscious florals in shades of peach and sage with lemons, succulents, and kumquats created by Lemon Blossom Designs, and of course all of the images captured by the fabulous Rebekah Westover!

Anna and Jonathan were married under a large tree at Sonnet House in Leeds, Alabama. So fabulously Southern, wouldn’t you agree? Well, the Southern touches didn’t end there. There were mason jars, burlap, cigar boxes and Southern foods galore, but in addition to all of the rustic and casual details, Anna and Jonathan’s wedding was also artistic and vibrant with lots of colorful snapdragons, hydrangea, and garden roses in unique containers by Proper Measures. I love the laid-back, easy Southern charm in these lovely images from Crimson & Clover Photography!

It doesn’t get any better than a gorgeous bride, stunning florals, fabulous accessories, and a beautiful venue, and Maryanne and Dan’s Arizona wedding was exactly that! Maryanne looks like a celebrity and how fantastic are her Badgley Mischka shoes? We’re already huge fans of Petal Pusher, and these stunning peach and orange florals are just incredible. A nod to Maryanne’s father who loved orange groves, the main color of their decor was orange with hints of blush and light green. I absolutely love the use of ferns and wood elements throughout their centerpieces too! Sarah and Bill were married at the majestic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. It was a classically elegant event filled with unbelievable florals by The Bloom Room in shades of peach, blush, and orange. Their gorgeous ceremony aisle was lined with lanterns, flowers, and moss and they were married under a dozen twinkling natural globes. I love their color palette and the photos by Two Ring Studios are just perfection!

Crystal and Brian married in an intimate Atlanta garden wedding. Their venue, The Pace House, is precious and I love all of the sweet and whimsical florals and Crystal’s fabulous shoes! Crystal collected several birdcages to use as decor, and with the help of Ashley Baber brought her “Anthropologie meets the South” theme to life! Peachtree Photography captured all of the lovely images, we are in love!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend, got some rest, and spent lots of time with those that you love!  I have four more lovely “favorite” weddings this week, starting with the adorable Ashley and Ryan!  Their Seattle wedding, photographed by the fabulous Michele M. Waite, is full of color and style.  It just screams happiness and joy!  Ashley and Ryan created much of the decor themselves and Steven Moore Designs designed the whimsical, fun floral arrangements that paired with their ribbon theme.

I think I’m in a colorful mood today and this wedding just makes me smile.

Pam commented on a post several months ago and you could tell immediately that she was ok with speaking her mind in a very kind way.  She ended up needing some help with a design element, and we happily obliged.  She’s one of those women who you know would be A LOT of fun to hang out with.  Her colors are exactly what my winter weary eyes need right now.  We’re pleased to share this fun loving couple’s wedding with you.  The wedding took place at The Ribault Club and was shot by the lovely Ashley of For The Love of Creating.

Nina and Steven worked together at the same company when a mutual co-worker set them up on a blind lunch date, getting Nina’s attention after telling her he was a real-life Captain America. The pair hit it off and started dating a couple months later. After a few years, Steven completely surprised Nina on Thanksgiving weekend, proposing with both their families present.

This gorgeous shoot has the perfect blend of coral and blue hues to really make it POP. From the elegant updo, to the grandeur of the cascading florals, this wedding inspiration really knows how to incorporate color and elegance to create a perfect image. We love these colors because they remind us of the softness of spring, and the pop of summer. 

With any outdoor wedding ceremony in Florida you have to have a rain plan, which was the case for Taylor and Jacob’s Alfond Inn wedding. What was meant to be a garden style ceremony on the lawn, was moved into the atrium due to weather. But, that didn’t stop the garden vibes.
