This little flower girl is just the CUTEST thing ever isn’t she? I love the hydrangea wreath she wore – what a little princess!

Glamorous Old World Bridal Inspiration
There’s nothing more mesmerizing than bridal fashions with Old World sophistication and gorgeous details, and these stunning images from Arielle Doneson Photography confirm that! Captured as a look book for Something White bridal boutique near Cleveland, Ohio, at the equally glam The Tudor Arms Hotel, these gowns and veils—especially all of the lovely lace—leave us drooling! We adore the vintage look of the surroundings, complemented by pieces from Borrow Vintage + Eclectic Rentals. Baci Designer created the stationery for this shoot, and oversaw the styling of the entire day. We feel as though we’ve been transported to another era!

Current Crush: Fabulous Feathers
Feathers instantly add a sweet, delicate feeling to any fête! At once soft and dramatic, romantic and striking, feathers are the extra little something that makes a big statement. Whether accompanying flowers in a bouquet, adorning a headpiece, or as an unexpected accent to a clutch or cake, feathers are our current crush!

Things We Love: Stripes
Stripes are can be timeless yet modern, subtle or bold, whimsical or elegant, and I love the different ways they can be used in weddings! From tablescapes to attire and accessories to decor, there are so many ways to incorporate this fabulous design into your big day. What I’m really loving right now, whether bold or subtle, are black and white stripes. Such a dramatic statement and fun complement the vivid colors of your flowers!

Little White Dresses
What I wouldn’t have given to be a part of this “little white dress” inspired shoot by Urbane Montage Events! The flowers, the colors, the dresses, the shoes, the accessories—I truly can’t handle it. The peachy melon and aqua color palette is my absolute favorite and the bouquets by Munster Rose are to die for. The little white dresses from Flutter Boutique that are featured in this shoot would be perfect for a rehearsal, reception dress, or even a summer party! Every detail of this shoot and all the photos by Ashley Nguyen Photography are pure 100% fabulousness.

French Tea Party Inspiration
What a beautiful way to start the week – a gorgeous tabletop, dessert table, and fashion shoot inspired by a French countryside tea party! This chic shoot at Chicago’s Loft on Lake was designed by Carlene of Naturally Yours Events and features DIY and eco-friendly elements throughout. Carlene created the escort card display from strips of muslin, lace, and textured fabrics tied onto a piece of wood, many of the florals were grown by Larkspur and are all seasonal, and the stunning bridal gowns were created by Mignonette Bridal using repurposed lace. Even the art from Emmy Star Brown is framed in old window panes! I’m utterly in love with each and every little detail and all of the images by Julia Franzosa Photography!

Ombre Wedding Inspiration
I love the delicate, romantic feel of ombre elements, and this gorgeous inspiration shoot from Eventity Inc highlights ombre in the most beautiful way! The Darlington House in La Jolla was the backdrop for a beautiful bridal look and tablescape in a classic pink, white, and sage color palette. The fresh, clean tabletop features flowers from Sweet Pea Flower Company and soft ombre menus and place cards from Cali Cards, and to top it off there is the most amazing cake from Hey There Cupcakes! Sit back and enjoy the fabulous images from Bryan N. Miller Photography!

Elegant Vintage Wedding Inspiration
Classic, timeless, and delicate, this gorgeous styled shoot from Holly Heider Chapple, Events in the City, Laura Ashbrook Photography, and an amazing array of Washington DC-area wedding vendors was inspired by the elegant style of the early 1900s and the story of the maiden voyage of the Titanic. The deep brown, burgundy, and gold color palette, classic calligraphy, and crystal accessories echo the opulence of the era while the mercury glass, taper candles, and lace table runner add modern day beauty. I am swooning over the to-die-for gowns and headpieces and the luxurious feeling of the shoot, a perfect combination of today’s vintage trends and timeless elegance.

Romantic Summer Wedding Inspiration
Today is such a fun day for me because I get to show off my very first designed shoot! I was so thrilled when Sara Gray asked me to create a shoot for her latest MarryThis! wedding guide, and immediately enlisted the amazing Kelly Marie Uss of Fleur to join in to help me style a romantic summer wedding shoot, full of vibrant colors and elegant and fluffy blooms. I love trends, but wanted to take a few of the design trends that are popular today, such as vintage china and lace, and use them in a way that was classic and timeless, a wedding that would stay fresh and inspiring for years to come. We chose the absolutely fabulous Aeree Loft at Room 1520 as our venue, its clean white walls and amazing light were the perfect backdrop!
S&T Wedding Details
As promised in an earlier post, here are a few of the fabulous professional pictures from Mike’s brother’s wedding on November 6. It was a beautiful day in San Tan Valley, Arizona at Encanterra Country Club. The photographers are my favorites, Davis Wedding Photographers. There are so many amazing pictures, but one of my favorites is this sunset picture of the bride and groom, Steve and Tana.

The Little Details
Understatement of the year: I feel like I spent a lot of time planning this wedding. But the end result? A day filled not only with people that we love but details that I loved as well!
Alchemy at the Barn
So excited to share a gorgeous Inspired Creations Contest concept from Kristy Rice of Momental Designs. Kristy created a gorgeous tabletop that’s rustic and kind of quirky all at the same time. Love!
Wedding Day Details: The DIY Flowers
Hello, dear readers! Sorry for the long break. I’m getting ready to start up a business here in SoCal (DIY brides, let me know if you need a hand with DIY wedding flowers…it’s the basis of my biz!) so it’s been a bit crazy ’round here!
Things I Like: Wax Seals
When I was in high school (or maybe even middle school?), I had a wax seal with the letter J on it (mom, any idea where that might be?). I loved how it made me feel like royalty and how it made everything I sealed with it much more important. The seal was only to be broken by the person to whom the note was addressed, and if it was broken in advance they’d know the secret enclosed in the note would be out! I mean really, as if the world didn’t already know that Frank had a crush on Erin, c’mon…but still, any notes sealed with it were TOP SECRET.
Stationery Thursday: Real Invitations – Alyson + James
A few weeks back, EAD reader Alyson left a comment letting me know that she had gotten her letterpress invitations at cost – so I jumped at the chance to ask her a few questions about her invitations. Alyson worked with an up-and-coming designer to create a gorgeous blue + white pocketfold invitation suite, which included the main invitation, map enclosure, and rsvp card with a matching letterpress return envelope. Alyson has been kind enough to share her invitations with the rest of us here, so let’s get right into Alyson’s gorgeous invitations!
DIY Wedding Details: Birdhouse Escort Cards
Kelly from So You’re EnGAYged created these gorgeous birdhouse escort cards for her own wedding. They are cost-effective, whimsical, and completely unique – a perfect combination!

DIY Wedding Details: Fake Wedding Cake
I’m excited about today’s DIY project because it comes from our very own brand-spankin’-new-as-of-next-Monday weekly columnist Abby! Abby is planning a Boston wedding for next year and here is one of her fun DIY projects, a wedding cake (for display only!).
