We’ve been full of beautiful DIY headpieces lately (everyone should check out Briana’s amazing creation from last week). I’m also loving this beauty created by Jamie of A Desert Fete.

Happy Friday everyone! I have another lovely Inspired Creations Contest shoot to show off today - modern and glamorous bridal fashion inspiration from the Portland team of Sara Gray Photography, Madeline Roosevelt, Amy Wing, and Serephine. The model is Sara’s beautiful younger sister Emily who is getting married this summer! The team wanted to incorporate sparkle without going wild, so they kept to a neutral color palette of gold, ivory, white, and silver. A sassy sequin dress from Nordstrom, glitter heels, dramatic makeup and fabulous accessories make this a perfect look for the modern bride.
Sundays! Sigh. Such a lovely day of the week. I’m missing my hubby this week…he is studying for his board exams and wasn’t able to come with me to Colorado. A perfect Sunday would usually consist of a relaxing morning…waking up with the sunshine, and heading to the farmer’s market to pick up some fresh figs, goat cheese, and honey. How great does that sound?
A beautiful project from Nicole, an Amy Butler-inspired fabric flower wrist corsage. She made one of these for each of the grandmothers at her wedding!
The best part about inspiration shoots is the collection of so much fabulousness in one place, and this collaboration from Marvin Tsai Photography and Liz La Vie is no different! These amazing gowns from Royal Accessories, Inc., are simply stunning—we love the variations, from simple silhouette to fancy and elaborate. Fascinators and hairpieces are a huge trend right now, and we’re smitten with the headpieces and jeweled headbands on these lovely models. Of course, no event is complete without fabulous flowers, and these bouquets from Figaro Flowers, Inc., are incredible. There’s something for everyone to love in the gallery!
The engagement ring looks dazzling on your finger, and now it’s time to think about the other bling that you will don on your wedding day—the accessories! From jewelry to sashes to headpieces, there are a lot of options available to brides to help you pull together their perfect look. To help you with this process, we’d like to introduce you to Weddings Bespoke, an online boutique that has a truly stunning collection of vintage accessories sure to make your jaw drop! We are totally smitten with Weddings Bespoke and are thrilled to announce an unbelievable giveaway they are offering to one lucky EAD reader!
Headpieces are every bride’s crowning glory! We could not be more in love with this roundup of stunning accessories, from delicate rhinestone crowns to glamorous fascinators and everything in between. What style of headpiece or veil are you wearing on your wedding day?
We have always been huge fans of Tessa Kim’s accessory and veil collections, and after taking a peek at the 2013 lines and new intimates collection, we could not be more obsessed! Each beautiful headpiece, veil, and sash is both stunning and handmade. The intricate beadwork and flirty feather detailing is handcrafted so every bride receives a piece that is as unique as they are. With complementing garters and sashes, you’re sure to find the perfect ensemble for your wedding day! And last but definitely not least, the brand spankin’ new intimates collection is full of soft, silky loungewear with a modern mix of floral prints and soft blush tones. We are utterly in love and are sure you are too, so hop on over to the Tessa Kim website to see more!
I love a bride with great accessories, and this bridal fashion shoot caught my eye immediately because of the fabulous headpieces and jewelry from the Beautiful line by Mercedes Trump. I love how Alegria By Design and Melissa Musgrove Photography showcase so many different styles – from a punchy pink flower and feather headpiece to an vintage birdcage veil, to a classic chignon with elegant drop earrings.Â
I love pretty lacy things, so I’m excited to share this fun and easy DIY project from Rebekah Murray! Today, Rebekah is going to show us how to make a beautiful vintage doily necklace. Follow along below, or download the printable instructions here.
Sometimes inspiration boards, well, inspire me. And this peach pink and gold inspiration board from last week was one that I could really see building an entire wedding around.
Mmmm. You already know I adore anything DIY and anything a little bit vintage. So I definitely did a little happy dance when I saw this gorgeous lace and crochet scarf on With This Ring…
Hello, dear readers! Sorry for the long break. I’m getting ready to start up a business here in SoCal (DIY brides, let me know if you need a hand with DIY wedding flowers…it’s the basis of my biz!) so it’s been a bit crazy ’round here!
As do many of us who began our mini-adult lives with nothing to our name but our grandma’s chipped fiestaware and much-loved box-sets of Sex and the City (I even have Seasons 1-3 on VHS, what-what!), I am firm in my belief that its the accessories that make the clothes that then make “the look.”
Good morning, weekend warriors! I hope everyone is having a great (and grateful) Memorial Day weekend!
Amanda at the Vintage Glam blog is holding a DIY contest and posting some beautiful entries! I am over the moon for these positively lovely DIY wristlets and boutonnieres made from artificial flowers and other ephemera.
A Backyard Wedding shows us how to dye a petticoat – love the result as seen in her wedding!
