Long before we ever got engaged I knew one thing for sure.
I. Hated. Bridesmaid dresses. Â I mean physically cannot stand them. Â Now before you start typing out an angry email to me; hear me out. Â I am a practical person. Â When it comes to money, I always want to find the best deal and something that is reasonable to buy. Â I’ve never understood the concept of saying to your closest gals, “hey, I love you so much that I want to honor you by being in my wedding. Â Oh and by the way, it’s going to end up costing you hundreds of dollars before it’s all over. Â LOVE YA!” Â I also cannot justify spending $200 on a dress. Â ESPECIALLY if it’s a dress that will only be worn once (lets be honest, those dresses can never be worn again). Â
Originally my plan was to have them all wear a black dress of their choice. Â I loved how it worked out for SexyRedFrame-and I was ready to let my girls wear whatever they wanted (in black). Â Here was my inspiration:

However my Dad, who is paying for our wonderful wedding, did not like the idea. Â He liked the look of a more matching bridal party. Â So we compromised. Â We found AWESOME dresses from Victoria’s Secret, and the girls love them. Â They can wear them over and over, and they weren’t expensive. Â YAY!

Cute, huh? Â Now I know everyone has seen images from my next inspiration. Â I love this wedding and I LOVE the bridesmaids look. Â My girls are pumped to rock some awesome boots at the farm.

Now for their flowers. Â I didn’t want to spend a ton on bouquets. Â We didn’t need to hire a florist for any table decor because it’s being provided by the venue. Â The scenery is so gorgeous so I really didn’t want to try to compete with the natural setting. Â SO, we are doing the bouquets ourselves. Â After much thought, I decided to do wheat and dried flowers. Â This way we can do the bouquets ahead of time and not have to worry about them at all the days before the wedding. Â Here is an inspiration photo, but we got a lot more dried flowers and wheat at the wholesale florist.

So there you have it. Â Our unique and different (still not my dad’s favorite, but he’s dealing with it) bridesmaid look.
Anyone else out there doing something totally different and unconventional for their bridesmaid look? Â Please say so so I don’t feel like a weirdo!
