We have a positively sigh-worthy wedding for you today photographed by two of my favorites, Ray and Erwin of Apertura! Angel and Angela had a unique and modern Los Angeles wedding at the SLS Hotel, infused with tons of personal touches and many DIY elements. The couple planned their wedding on their own and both Angel and Angela were involved in the process – it’s so fun to see a groom so excited about their event!
Angela’s designed her gorgeous gown and worked with a dress maker in Indonesia to have it brought to life. She finished and altered her gown at home by hand.
The floral elements were created by Bobbe Vagell and featured chartreuse flowers. Flowers in a single color are so impactful!
Angel and Angela held a ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica, followed by a traditional tea ceremony.
Love the vintage transport from the ceremony to the hotel!
All of the decor was sleek and modern, befitting the hotel itself.
As self-proclaimed foodies, Angel and Angela were thrilled to learn that the executive chef for the SLS is Jose Andres. The food looks to die for!
Angela created the stationery for the event, including the programs, escort cards, and table names. These mini-pomander escort cards are SO unique!
For the reception, the couple chose purple and blue lighting and centerpieces of varying heights utilizing branches and bamboo.
Favors were chopsticks from Indonesia in beautiful wooden boxes – so personal, I love it!
Michelle’s European Custom Bakery created a three-tiered white cake with chartreuse blooms.
And last but not least, stunning portraits by Ray and Erwin.
Angel and Angela and Ray and Erwin, thank you for sharing your fabulous event with us!
