Modern Glam Bride
Happy Friday everyone! I have another lovely Inspired Creations Contest shoot to show off today - modern and glamorous bridal fashion inspiration from the Portland team of Sara Gray Photography, Madeline Roosevelt, Amy Wing, and Serephine. The model is Sara’s beautiful younger sister Emily who is getting married this summer! The team wanted to incorporate sparkle without going wild, so they kept to a neutral color palette of gold, ivory, white, and silver. A sassy sequin dress from Nordstrom, glitter heels, dramatic makeup and fabulous accessories make this a perfect look for the modern bride.

Fabric Flower Bouquet
If you love flowers but don’t love having to throw them out after your big day, a fabric flower bouquet is just the right thing. Andrea Gray Harper shows us how to make this adorable bouquet – view the printable instructions here or follow along below!

DIY Wedding Details: Coffee Filter Garland
I have a mad crush on crafters that use common objects to create gorgeous treasures – which is exactly what Pam Garrison did when she paired tissue paper, coffee filters, and string to create this fabulous garland.

DIY Wedding Details: Tulle Flower Blossoms
Is it obvious that I love creating flowers from unexpected materials? Becky from the fab Beetlegirl Design blog shows us how to create tulle blossoms that are perfect for adorning the branches in your centerpieces (or for adding faux flowers to your invites… or to dress up a plain shawl… or in a DIY headpiece…)!
Faux vs. Fresh – Who knew?
While doing a little registry shopping recently, I was floored to see such gorgeous silk flowers at Pottery Barn (of all places)! My previous experience with silks has been less than impressive, but it appears that they’ve come quite a long way in recent years!
DIY Wedding Details: Shredded Fabric Flowers
Gorgeous project found via Style Court – handmade chrysanthemums from Alabama Chanin’s Alabama Stitch Book. These flowers are made from (believe it or not) cotton t-shirts.
DIY Wedding Details: Pom Pom Flowers
I believe I’ve mentioned my love for the blog One Pretty Thing before…Â This time they have led me towards a new crush, Domestifluff, who teaches us how to DIY Pom Pom flowers.
DIY Wedding Details: Organza Flowers
I’m absolutely over the moon for these easy, cost-effective, and gorgeous DIY organza flowers! Not only would they be perfect as part of your centerpieces, but what about chair ties, or in boxed invitations, or as a headpiece… the possibilities are endless!
A DIY wedding: Part 3, quasi-DIY adventures
Yesterday I featured some of our favorite DIY details from our wedding. Today, I’m focusing on our “quasi-DIY†details – projects that we assembled but didn’t make or used vintage items, but that we still count as DIY since we procured all the pieces. Just after we decided to have a vintage- and internationally-inspired wedding, I came across vintage-reproduction globes from Anthropologie that we knew would be great as reception centerpieces.
DIY Entry #16: Fabric Flower Wrist Corsage
A beautiful project from Nicole, an Amy Butler-inspired fabric flower wrist corsage. She made one of these for each of the grandmothers at her wedding!

Make Your Own Modern Victorian Silverware
It’s becoming very common to see repurposed vintage flatware making an appearance, (even Anthropologie sells sets now!) but building and designing your own collection is of course more fun. Today we’re going to use multi-surface paint and silver/gold leaf to create our very own gorgeous custom silverware set!

DIY Monogrammed Embroidery Hoops
We have another gorgeous DIY project for you today! Rafters of Cedars creates some of the most gorgeous chuppas we’ve ever seen and we’re incredibly lucky that Diana has shared this tutorial on how to create your own monogrammed embroidery hoops. They would be lovely as an accent piece at weddings, anniversaries, or also in children’s rooms.

DIY Splatter Paint Notecards
We love giving updated uses to simple techniques, and these splatter-painted notecards from Rebekah J. Murray fit the bill!
