Lindsey and Brian’s classic Nantucket wedding, photographed by Zofia Photography, is absolutely full of charming, elegant details. I’m captivated by all of the gorgeous images and the way that the couple wove the history of Nantucket throughout their wedding.
Lindsey’s fluffy bouquet contains orchids, peonies, and lily of the valley. The light and airy bouquet perfectly paired with Lindsey’s tiered Vera Wang gown.
Nantucket was known for its whaling industry so whales were incorporated throughout the wedding, including on these adorable groomsmen ties!
Lindsey and Brian live in Manhattan, so a classic 1931 NYC taxi brought a taste of home to Nantucket.
The beachside ceremony featured a harpist and cellist, and a solo of the Irish wedding song, a tradition in Brian’s family.
The scallop shell was used throughout the wedding. A navy scallop shell graced the invitations, programs, table signs (which were named after Nantucket beaches), and escort cards. Nantucket lightship basket centerpieces held hydrangeas and queen Anne’s lace.
The adorable wedding cake, created by Jodi’s Cakes, was lemon curd with fresh blueberries in the form of two baskets that were made to match the centerpieces. We also see our friend the whale in the form of a red velvet groom’s cake!
The Galley, one of Lindsey and Brian’s favorite restaurants, was the perfect setting for a casual yet elegant reception.
Lindsey shares:
“One of my favorite memories is when Brian and I went up to the lifeguard stand to take pictures and the party all came out dancing on the sand to watch. There was so much energy and it was really such a happy moment!”
Lindsey and Zofia, thank you for sharing the details of the day with us!
