I’ve been seeing so many more weddings with feathers, and it’s a trend I’m absolutely in love with! Laura and Josh incorporated lots of white, fluffy feathers into their decor and the result is just spectacular! Candice K Photography captured all of the gorgeous images from their wedding at Bentley’s on the Bay.
The couple’s May 1st wedding date was symbolic for many reasons: the day Josh’s parents met, his aunt and uncle’s anniversary, and Laura’s grandmother’s 91st birthday. Her grandmother sadly passed away six days before the wedding.
Laura’s something old and blue was her wedding garter. Her mother sewed a piece of fabric from one of the blue bridesmaids dresses from her own wedding onto the garter to create a special keepsake for Laura! Her something new was her gorgeous Watters gown, and the something borrowed was the pearl and rhinestone pin on her bouquet.
The pink and white reception was full of shabby chic elements like the beautiful pink vases for the topiary centerpieces. Each table was named after a detail in Laura and Josh’s relationship. A small gold frame had a paragraph describing the story behind the table name. Guests loved walking around to read all of the stories!
Family and friends were a huge part of the wedding. Josh’s uncle performed the ceremony, and his childhood best friend sang the first dance song.
Laura, thank you for sharing all of the details of your day with us!
