Real Weddings: Rob + Hayley

Morgan and Matt’s outdoor wedding at Bella Luna Farms was as rustic and charming as it was pretty and timeless. The lovely images from one of Michele M. Waite Photography‘s favorite weddings of this year showcase bold blooms in arrangements and bouquets, as well as Morgan’s classic column-style gown. Sweet farm animals meandered around the grounds as guests enjoyed first a ceremony—where the couple took vows beneath a traditional chuppah festooned with a floral garland—and then a reception inside a barn strung with lights. We think Chambers and Company did a fabulous job with the design of this fun and fabulous affair!

What better way to celebrate the launch of EAD’s Washington DC wedding guide than with a beautiful DC wedding!  Melanie and Scott’s celebration absolutely fits the bill – gorgeous images by Terra Dawn Photography, a fabulous rehearsal dinner under the Key Bridge, and an elegant ceremony and reception at Dumbarton House. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Potomac Boat Club – the bright and colorful setting is perfect for a rehearsal bash, and the view can’t be beat!

These fun and beautiful images of DJ and Alan’s Sun Valley Idaho wedding from Hillary Maybery Photography make us wish we were kicking up our boots with them, too! Stunning outdoor surroundings frame this affair, with a rustic chapel setting the stage for a ceremony filled with cowboy hats and boots, plaid kilts, and spring florals in yellows and greens from Tara Bella Floral Design. DJ’s elegant lace Anne Barge gown is a gorgeous contrast to the earthy elements and her personalized boots from M.L. Leddy’s. We love the details that the team at Amanda Seaward’s Absolute Weddings wove in—including monogrammed plaid throws, distressed leather chairs, and antlers—to drive home the theme of DJ and Alan’s affair! Bold and pretty are the perfect words to describe Angela and Michael’s Santa Rosa wedding, held at Annadel Estate Winery. The beautiful blues, red, and purples of the flowers by Elyse Litt of Willow Floral Design are somewhat unexpected, making that much more of a statement. Bret Cole Photography did a stunning job capturing the day’s details, including the intricate beading on Angela’s Lazaro gown and the rustic, elegant surroundings of the vineyard and barn-style space where the ceremony was held. On the lawn for the reception, Melissa Panico of MAP Weddings & Events coordinated lovely centerpieces along long tables with gold touches and pretty linens from La Tavola Fine Linen Rental. We are completely head over heels for this chic and colorful vineyard wedding—swoon over all of the details in the gallery!

Casey and Joey dreamed of a rustic, romantic Virginia wedding, and we know they must’ve pinched themselves to make sure their fantasy had really come to life. These photos from Timmester Photography are gorgeous and capture the country-chic theme of the day. Merriweather Manor in Leesburg served as the woodsy backdrop for vibrant bouquets and arrangements featuring dahlias, cockscomb, and bark wire from Holly Chapple Flowers. The couple incorporated a tree theme for the weekend, and we adore the round stumps they used as table numbers. Kelley Cannon Events coordinated the picture-perfect day, ensuring the atmosphere was pretty but laid-back for Casey and Joey’s guests. And we’re betting the classic navy bridesmaids dresses from Vineyard Vines will actually get more than one day of wear! The heart motif on stationery by Miss Merkle Design sweetly sums up Casey’s feelings about the wedding: “The love and support from our family and friends helped make the day a magical experience for us.”

Chelsea and Evan’s rustic Charlottesville Virginia wedding, photographed by Eric Kelley, is divine. The couple gave Pat’s Floral Design complete creative freedom when it came to crafting casual centerpieces for the wooden farmhouse tables. “Our main words of guidance were that we wanted a laid-back look of seasonal wildflowers in no particular color palette,” said the bride. “What they came up with was incredible.” From an elegant ceremony arch made of two antique doors to herb table decor in natural clay pots, we couldn’t agree more! Cheslea looked simply stunning in her lace Monique Lhuillier gown. But our favorite detail? Perhaps the chalkboard seating chart, which a friend of the couple wrote out “in her beautiful handwriting,” the bride said.

Everything’s bigger in Texas—and from the looks of these photos from Kelly Hornberger Photography, everything’s better there, too! Lindsay and Jonathan planned a down-home, sophisticated affair for their country nuptials, and they didn’t miss a single detail. We’re loving the ombre-like bridesmaids’ dresses in hues of blush and blue—a touch that’s carried over to the ruffled wedding cake from Classic Cakes by Lori—and the bride’s shoe choices: jeweled Bagdley Mischka heels and a pair of monogrammed cowboy boots. Friends and family lent their talents for things like a custom logo and program, and Lindsay made the guest book herself with family recipes, photos, and blank pages for signing. The Kali Kate event pavilion in Buda offered the perfect mix of farm and fabulous, where guests two-stepped to tunes from DJ Barrington Miles under a Lone Star sky. Personal and perfect, y’all!

It’s pretty much impossible to look through the photos of Lynn and Stefan’s wedding by Kellie Kano and not immediately feel happier. Lynn knew she had to have yellow flowers because every since she was a little girl the color has always put a smile on her face. Thanks to Hedge Fine Blooms and all the other details in this sweet wedding, we’re now smiling too! Their big day was effortlessly elegant and set to the beautiful backdrop of Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia. Every detail of Lynn and Stefan’s wedding is all about happiness and love so sit back and enjoy!

A day 14 years in the making, Annabelle and Andrew’s wedding was certainly a celebration! A celebration with phenomenal flowers (done by the bride’s aunts!), a pretty venue, a ton of handmade and homemade details, loving friends and family, and one killer pair of shoes! They were married at Murray Hill, a Virginia home with views overlooking the Potomac River, and then moved inside to the barn which was lovingly decorated with hundreds of vintage jars and vases filled with flowers like ranunculus, protea, orchids, hypericum, and freesia. The couple used many vintage and heirloom pieces collected by friends and family which according to the couple made the day feel like “a true labor of love”! I absolutely love unique color palettes and Jenni’s blend of fall colors with her groom’s Scottish tartan is a breath of fresh air! It was such a warm wedding with lots of DIY details that perfectly blended both season and culture. Jenni and Bill both look gorgeous and positively giddy! Of course we love the romantic Nashville farm estate Cedarwood, and these photos by Chris and Adrienne Scott Photographers bring the gorgeous day to life!

Tiffany and Jimmy wanted a low-key, classic wedding. They decided on a vintage theme and incorporated lots of antique details such as lace, baby’s breath, and antique bottles to the decor of their rustic venue, The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek. My favorite vintage detail is Tiffany’s lace tea-length dress, and I just adore the powder blue VW bug getaway car! What an adorable weddingmobile! Thanks to Rebekah J. Heather and Jonathan’s Leesburg, Virginia wedding is overflowing with lovely details inspired by their love of the outdoors.  The color palette of cream, green, sky blue and brown echoes the beautiful setting of Raspberry Plain, and the couple infused many personal elements into the interfaith celebration, including a chuppah decorated with a crocheted cover created by Jonathan’s mother and handmade by Heather’s father from trees found on their lakeside cabin, smooth river stones as escort cards, and and ribbons streaming from the trees.  Vicki from My Simple Details made sure the day went off without a hitch, the gorgeous florals were created by Holly Heidler Chapple, and all of the lovely images are courtesy of Three Lights Photography.

Outdoor venue? Check. Airstream camp? Check. Wait…Did we say Airstream camp? Yes we did! And that’s not the only creative detail in this outdoor Texas wedding. Adam and Rachel planned a creative wedding with tons of DIY details including painted signs, fabric flowers, varied centerpieces, driftwood altars and more.

Chris and Caitlin are high-school sweethearts, and their beautiful Washingtno DC wedding was a sweet celebration honoring the friends and family that had carried them throughout their 10-year relationship.  They incorporated traditional Hawaiian culture, because Chris’s father is native Hawaiian, and their wedding was set up to feel like a fun, upscale luau!

So excited today to bring you the gorgeous and unique wedding of Portland couple Ali and Evan.  Whitney and Jesse from Our Labor of Love traveled from Atlanta to shoot this event and as always, their work is flawless!

Sarah and Scott originally had a large celebration planned, but like many other brides, COVID changed that. In a cautious manner they decided to move forward with their wedding with just their 12 closest family and friends. Despite the small guest count, the design aspect was large. Their outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by banyan trees under the most stunning Chuppah. Reception was followed with the most divine tent with flowing florals and hints of citrus.

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.
