Real Weddings: Jamie + Louie

Heather and David’s Phoenix wedding is so classically elegant. The venues, Brophy Chapel for the ceremony and Arizona Biltmore for the reception, are full of Spanish Colonial details that add a slightly Gothic feel to the event. Their color palette of gold and brown perfectly accents the venue. The tables were dressed in ivory linens and graced with beautiful hydrangea and rose centerpieces and favors of Lebanese chocolate. The lovely Kimberly of Kimberly Jarman Photography photographed the wedding, we love all of the gorgeous details!

Kristi and Ryan’s beautiful garden-themed wedding was held at the picturesque Trilogy At Vistancia Kiva Club in Peoria, Arizona. The natural beauty of the location inspired the lush pastel color palette of the day. Working with Nicole Arend Wedding and Events, the couple brought to life the colors of a spring wonderland, with blush, lavender, and pale robin’s egg bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal and luscious garden arrangements from Ever After Florals, including a showstopping floral arch of hydrangea, garden roses, and swaths of eucalyptus. And, a seating chart on a faux greenery wall was the talk of the cocktail hour! Kristi is radiant in a Blush By Hayley Paige gown fit for a princess and flowing braided curls designed by Amanda Victoria Beauty. Jennifer describes her January wedding to Justin as “the best day ever” and we can certainly see why! Scottsdale’s romantic Sassi played host, and the venue has the charm of an Italian villa tucked away in the desert with stunning mountain views of Pinnacle Park. As a graphic designer, Jennifer lovingly created all of the stationery elements from the save the dates to the menu cards, hand-lettered the signage and calligraphy, and hand-painted the guest book. Each piece perfectly paired with the next for a beautiful and personal result! Working with Sarah’s Garden, their florals highlighted the desert’s charm with succulents throughout, which are now in planters throughout their home. The couple met at the Boys & Girls Clubs, and in lieu of favors, they made a donation and couldn’t have been happier that they were able to give back and make an impact in honor of their wedding celebration. It doesn’t get more beautiful than a spring wedding in Arizona, and Scottdale’s stunning Sassi restaurant brings together the beauty of the desert with an Old World European feel. Anne and Keith’s intimate soiree is the epitome of sophistication. An outdoor wedding ceremony beneath the trees (with the most adorable of flower girls) led into a gorgeous reception with floral by Your Event Florist. A succulent theme echoed the beauty of the Southwest and was incorporated from bouquet to centerpieces, on the stationery from Celebrations in Paper, and even atop the lovely cake from Let Them Eat Cake. Lucas and Brooke were married on a spectacular spring day in Arizona at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort. After saying “I Do” at sunset on the resort’s Lagoon Lawn, guests moved into the Palomino Ballroom for an elegant reception. The theme was “Manicured Rustic”, and the reception was a veritable wonderland with candlelight and a mix of jaw-dropping centerpieces from The Flower Studio which evoked the feel of a secret garden. We adore the color palette of cobalt blue, peach and gold, with wood accents to complement the garden feel. Amsale bridesmaids dresses in assorted silhouettes flattered each of the maids, while Brooke is resplendent in a Martina Liona gown from Mariee Bridal. Ashley Gain made sure the day ran without a hitch, and we are head over heels for the gorgeous images from Brushfire Photography!

Stefanie and Charlie’s Arizona wedding is pure rustic chic! Held in the bride’s backyard and coordinated by Sterling Weddings and Events, their intimate soiree perfectly captured the desert feel of the Paradise Valley location with whimsical touches like animal place cards, succulents, and string lights, paired with elegant tabletops featuring rose, ranunculus, and eucalyptus florals by Petals and Lucy. We just adore the bridesmaids’ pale silver halter dresses from In One Clothing, and the groomsmen are dapper in J.Crew suits. The finishing touch? A wispy buttercream cake from Fresh from the Kitchen! We are completely smitten with each and every image from Brushfire Photography!

Erin and Max are a Chicago couple who planned an Arizona destination wedding, and what better setting than the beautiful Sanctuary on Camelback Resort & Spa. After an outdoor ceremony with the picturesque view of Paradise Valley, guests moved inside to the ballroom where they were greeted by positively gorgeous florals from Petal Pusher – deep purple lisianthus, stock, tulips, and astilbe. Utterly in love with the stunning portraits by Jennifer Bowen!

Monique and Josh’s Scottsdale wedding was filled to the brim with soft, romantic, and elegant details. I can’t get over the breathtaking scenery, old-world charm, and incredible oversized doors of their venue, Montelucia. Monique’s Lazaro gown is swoon-worthy and the beautiful florals by Camelback Flower Shop are the perfect mix of elegance and romance in beautiful pinks and whites. Oh my.  I’m just so excited to show off the wedding of my lovely friend Jana to her handsome husband Michael!  Jana put so much love and heart into her wedding, designing the entire event on her own and creating so many of the lovely details by hand.  Jana and Michael’s wedding is classic, timeless, and intimate and truly reflects the love that they have for each other.  I’m simply in love and I know you will be too, after seeing the stunning images from Davis Photographers!

This morning’s beautiful Phoenix wedding truly captures the beauty of the desert!  Brett and Cara were the winners of the Desert Botanical Garden wedding contest – their story was chosen out of 252 entrants (read more here) – and their wedding features many incredibly talented Phoenix wedding vendors who donated their services for the couple’s 10-10-10 wedding.  Victoria Canada and her team made sure the day ran smoothly, Petal Pusher created stunning garden arrangements which held their own against the desert flora, and Keith Pitts Photography captured all of the lovely images.

I’m loving all of the earthy and natural bronze and brown elements in Ashley and Kyle’s wedding held at Scottsdale’s Intercontinental Montelucia Resort & Spa. The ladies from Outstanding Occasions worked with Ashley and Kyle to design a wedding that brought out the natural beauty of the location and echoed the tones of the Arizona desert, and Jennifer Bowen captured all of the gorgeous images.

Kristi and Aaron’s gorgeous Arizona wedding was held at Scottsdale’s Troon Country Club on a gorgeous spring day! The clear, blue skies made for gorgeous images by Stephanie Fay Photography, and Victoria Canada Weddings and Events flawlessly coordinated the event.

Hang and Hao’s romantic wedding at Livermore, CA’s Murrieta’s Well has all of our favorite things: a colorful palette, personal touches, stunning fashion, and incredible images! Inspired by the vineyards surrounding the winery, the couple wanted an organic feel for their event, and Sachi from Delphinium Floral Design outdid herself creating lush arrangements of peonies, garden roses, and blushing bride protea. Crisp white calligraphy, hand-lettered by Hang, and vintage stamps dressed Minted agate invitations, and the adorable animal place card holders were spray-painted by the couple, adding a special charm to the table setting. Silk ties hand-dyed with organic elements such as tea and beet adorned the favors. We are completely spellbound by every image by Kate Anfinson!

Amanda and Mike’s vision of an intimate and elegant Arizona desert wedding came to life working with Tie the Knot by Tessa. The Boulders Resort was the perfect setting for their destination soiree, as Mike is an avid golfer and visits Arizona throughout the year. The couple selected their florals to represent the locale, and Butterfly Petals created gorgeous arrangements of succulents, greenery, and purple blooms, and boutonnieres of succulents with golf tees to represent their favorite hobby! Amanda’s Willowby gown stole the show, with its intricate back and lace details, and we are totally crushing on the bridesmaids’ BHLDN separates—the perfect modern and chic look. Every image from Rachel Solomon is perfection!

Dominique and Blake’s vision for their Scottsdale wedding was pure romance, and working alongside Jennifer Ellis of White House Design Studio, their ideas transformed into reality. The couple, dating since their sophomore year of college, were joined at the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia by family and friends who had watched their love blossom over the years. A vivid color palette of berry, wine, and ivory was selected to enhance the beauty of their desert setting, and White House Design Studio created arrangements overflowing with orchid, hydrangea, and magnolia leaves to festoon the ceremony arch and adorn the luxurious reception tables. In lieu of traditional place cards, guests received hand-calligraphed notes in ivory ribbon-wrapped boxes, the notes serving as a warm thank you from the couple for joining them to celebrate their special day. Sun-drenched Scottsdale is a spectacular setting, and we’re obsessed with Andrea and Cody’s wedding at The Country Club at DC Ranch. The couple enlisted the help of Jennifer Thye from Imoni Events to design their big day, and she made full use of the gorgeous Arizona backdrop! Centerpieces of seeded eucalyptus, hydrangea, and roses from Petal Pusher set atop wooden tables from Event Rents and circled a lovely cake from Ruze Cake House. Mirrors and pretty pieces of mercury glass added sparkle and reflected the beautiful string lights from above. We absolutely adore each and every beautiful image—especially the breathtaking desert scenes—in the images from Amy & Jordan Photography!

Lauren and Cheyne were married on a picture-perfect Arizona day at the gorgeous Encanterra Golf and Country Club. Their classic outdoor wedding was inspired by the architecture and beautiful surroundings of the venue. A neutral color palette of ivory, champagne, and gold was accented by accents of pale pink and peach, and Jenny Yoo ‘Annabelle’ gowns in a lovely shade of eggplant provided a vibrant pop of color! We adore the beautiful marigold calligraphy escort cards and menus from The Pretty Paperie Shop. Modern centerpieces from Designer Venues dressed the tables, and hand-painted wine bottle table numbers added a personal touch. Each image from Rachel Solomon is breathtaking!

The glowing vineyards of Sunstone Winery created a perfect backdrop for Patricia and Fabien’s classic wedding. After saying their vows in an elegant and intimate ceremony on the rolling hill at sunset, the couple and their guests retreated to the villa for a sophisticated reception featuring stunning florals by Passion Flowers Design. An assortment of beautiful blooms, including dahlias, roses, peonies, lisianthus, and local, organic herbs graced the tables, flanked by pillar candles for a glittering touch. Patricia’s matching hand-tied bouquet was embellished with an elegant wrap of trailing silk ribbon, a perfect complement to her chic Pronovias lace gown. Mike Larson captured the day beautifully, and we adore each timeless detail!

It doesn’t get more perfect than an Italian villa in the middle of the Arizona desert! Scottsdale’s Sassi restaurant was the setting for Danielle and Richard’s classic wedding, which combined the elegance of the venue with the desert setting for a unique and beautiful event. The couple wanted their intimate wedding to reflect their personalities and taste, and put their skills to work handcrafting items for their soiree. Danielle designed the wedding invitations and calligraphed the envelopes and favors, while Richard made the box for their wine box ceremony. Each guest received a succulent or cactus plant as a favor, perfect for their out of town guests, who were able to bring home a touch of Arizona. Flowers By Jodi created chic white and cream centerpieces of garden roses and hydrangea, adding sprigs of greenery to echo the venue’s ivied walls. We’re smitten with each thoughtful detail, captured by the wonderful Andrew Jade Photography!

This Arizona wedding is full of Southwestern charm! Fergus and Amanda are both talented musicians and avid readers, and they incorporated their love for the arts into their vivid and whimsical wedding at El Chorro. Colorful, eclectic details abound at every turn, from the bright orange and red florals by Petal Pusher to the antique gramophone and vintage books in the cocktail hour decor. The couple worked with Outstanding Occasions to bring their vision to life, pulling in details such as bright patterned linens from La Tavola and a stationery suite from Anne Reeser Design with hues perfectly matching Amanda’s bridesmaids’ frocks.
