Elegant Valentines Table

The styled shoot we have for you today was inspired by the feeling of being completely and utterly lovestruck. You know – that passionate, heart-stopping, fallen-hard kind of love. Using a palette of rich fuchsia, magenta, and vibrant pinks, Julie Liles Floral & Event Design dotted roses, tulips and calla lilies with crystals and arranged them among sparkling candles and lanterns. How fabulous are the custom headpieces by Petals by KC and the glittered favor boxes? Then there’s the stunning ombre cake by Frosted Bliss Cakes and the adorable sparkling cake pops by Raleigh Cake Pops too! What better time to do a little love shoot than Valentine’s Day!  Leanne and Gordon are an absolutely precious couple, and this whimsical and quirky Valentine’s engagement session in snowy Chicago suits them to a T.  Their little table for two featured raspberry tarts, blooms in the palette of kisses, romantic ribbon and adorable cross stitch messages of love.  Thanks to my lovely friends Jessie from Simply Jessie Photography and Kelly from Fleur for sharing!

So perhaps I’m a romantic at heart, but I adore sweetheart tables.  The idea of a just married couple getting to enjoy their first precious moments together at a table set for two is so sweet.  This precious Valentine’s Day inspirational shoot from Nashville wedding vendors Brocade Designs, Donald Yeager Photography, and Julia’s Homestyle Bakery imagines a Valentine’s Day sweetheart table, full of lovely handmade elements and sweet fragrant blooms.

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! The gallery is full of more incredible photos by Ioana Porav Photography, from the stunning rose petal seals on the stationery by Invogue Art, to Sarah’s romantic Milla Nova wedding gown (a nod to her Hispanic roots), to even more photos of their unbelievable florals, and trust us, you absolutely want to see them all!

A backdrop of verdant green climbing ivy and dreamy painterly florals would play a muse for any impressionist artist, so it’s no wonder that Indigo Event Design chose the stunning gardens and chateau of Monet Vineyards for this Claude Monet-inspired shoot. BLUE Floral Company created a pastel rainbow of locally-sourced florals to paint the outdoor ceremony space and stunning bouquet that is worthy of Monet’s brush itself. Lush centerpieces of coral and butter yellow peonies, lavender scabiosa, and dusty blush roses sit atop a french blue table, with just the right touch of regal elegance from gold flatware and chargers. Romantic and intimate, these photos by RTFaith Photography prove that even a micro-wedding can be a fairytale wedding too!

We’re dreaming of warmer weather over here, and we have been served some wonderful wedding inspiration on a plate. It’s a unique one for sure, as it features a trés chic wedding gown from Emily Kotarski paired with some muted colors. Cayleigh Hopkins of The Petal Report jazzed up what we typically think of “summer shades” and used deep versions of reds, blues, and purples instead. Enjoy this shoot from Hannah Alyssa Photography to the fullest, especially those florals from Fresh Weddings and Events. That bouquet with the protea front and center is a dream!

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

Romantic simplicity meets rustic glam meets rich fall color in this amazing styled shoot from Diana Marie Photography! We’re simply crazy about the lush chrysanthemum and rose florals—not to mention the gorgeous styling—by Kae + Ales. Adding a vintage edge to the entire scene are gorgeous pieces from Classic Vintage Rentals, which set the tone for a classic princess-inspired Paolo Sebastian gown from Nearly Newlywed Bridal Boutique. We adore the beaded bodice; the same sparkle is carried over into the delicate hairpiece from Nicky Teo. Run to the gallery to see all of the stunning details!

Dramatic jewel tones meet rustic barn setting in this inspiration shoot from One Summer Day, set at Silverbrook Farm in Virginia’s Horse Country. It’s simply gorgeous! The fall feel of the shoot is thanks to moody portraits, set amidst vintage decor from Stylish Patina Vintage Rentals. Coordinated by Ashlee Virginia Events, details like brass candlesticks and gold china sit among deep red and purple florals by Petals & Hedges. We cannot take our eyes off the black and gold stationery and that amazing and unusual cake from Cakebee! And how gorgeous is the gown from Soliloquy Bridal Couture? Absolutely fabulous is the name of the game in today’s inspiration shoot from E.M. Anderson Photography! We promise you’ll find tons of great ideas from this winter-inspired scheme set at The Athletic Club of Columbus in Ohio. Gorgeous jewel-tone arrangements from Flowers on Orchard Lane pop against the to-die-for gorgeous Anna Maier | Ulla-Maija Couture gown. Emilie Duncan Event Planning pulled together this breathtaking affair, calling on Ink and Ivory for frame-worthy invitations. Black and ivory linens from Event Source add a touch of drama to the fondant cake by Bella Luna Cakes & Confections. What more could you want? Answer: Nothing!

Anemones are pure elegance. Perfect for a black and white wedding with their delicate white petals and bold black centers, they also come in a variety of pinks, reds and purples. Anemones are just as classy whether by themselves or with a mixture of other beautiful blooms!

If 2011 was the year of rustic chic, 2012 is going to be the year of elegance and glam. This stunning shoot from Katelyn James Photography is the epitome of classic, baroque beauty and I am completely head over heels in love with the gorgeous details… the gilded pear place cards, the fabulous centerpieces from Janie Medley Flora Design that incorporate pomegranates and cabbage, the ornate framed table number and delicate, colorful china – it’s all perfection!

Inspired by a peacock feather, these jewel-toned tabletops designed by Beth of SQN Events are the perfect combination of elegant and modern.  Whether you’re planning a wedding or a party, jewel tones set the stage for a fabulous urban holiday soiree, and the gorgeous purple, red, and green palette is brought to life by the modern blooms from Dilly Lily.  Ribbon-wrapped menus and favor boxes with touches of swirling calligraphy add an elegant touch to the wedding tabletop while “naughty” and “nice” gift boxes add cheeky punch to the holiday tablescape.  The scrumptious sweets table and 4-tier truffle cake from Truffle Truffle is a fun and unique alternative to a traditional cake.  I’m in love with all of the colorful images from Maypole Studios!

Today is such a fun day for me because I get to show off my very first designed shoot! I was so thrilled when Sara Gray asked me to create a shoot for her latest MarryThis! wedding guide, and immediately enlisted the amazing Kelly Marie Uss of Fleur to join in to help me style a romantic summer wedding shoot, full of vibrant colors and elegant and fluffy blooms. I love trends, but wanted to take a few of the design trends that are popular today, such as vintage china and lace, and use them in a way that was classic and timeless, a wedding that would stay fresh and inspiring for years to come. We chose the absolutely fabulous Aeree Loft at Room 1520 as our venue, its clean white walls and amazing light were the perfect backdrop!

There is just so. much. pretty. in Courtney and Nate’s whimsical and sweet Los Angeles wedding from Erin Hearts Court! I have always been a huge lover of a romantic pink, red, and white color palette and love the charming accents that Courtney and Nate used to bring it to life – baker’s twine, garden-style arrangements in beautiful milk glass vases created by The Little Branch, doilies, and paper hearts everywhere! Every little bit of this wedding is perfect, right down to Courtney’s pretty red polished toes!

I hope you are loving sherbet week as much as we are!  Sherbet is such a cheerful and fun color, and I just adore how this styled brunch shoot from Ashley of CA Event Planning and Korie Lynn Photography brings it to life!  This Berry Tea Time Brunch uses just the right combination of dark and light pinks, dainty lace linen, fresh berries, and scrumptious desserts to create a tabletop and drink station full of beautiful inspiration for morning weddings.   Set in the quaint courtyard of the James Monroe Museum in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Ashley incorporated her grandmother’s floral china, a gorgeous ruffled cake from Fat Girl Cakes, and vibrant floral from Jane Guerin, and I just love the playful and sweet end result.  Thanks ladies for sharing!

When I spotted this gorgeous snowy winter shoot on Corbin Gurkin’s blog, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to resist sharing it with you!  Winter weddings are my favorite – so elegant and graceful, so intimate and cozy, even amidst blustry weather.  Megan of Maine Seasons Events and Corbin of Corbin Gurkin Photography designed this stunning table setting and dessert display using classic winter blue and silver with a punch of berry red, and Emily Carter Flowers created the beautiful floral details.
