When You Wish Upon a Star

Hi everyone! It’s Christen checking back in with some constellation inspiration for you! This week, I was the substitute for an astronomy teacher. It reminded me of the times when I was a little girl and I’d celebrate my birthday camping out with my friends under the stars (hopefully watching a meteor shower). My dad studied astronomy in school for a bit so he was always a wealth of information for my friends and me. Very, very happy memories! So, I love the idea of incorporating constellations and starry skies into a wedding.

I’ve seen quite a few invitations that use constellations:

You could also name each of the tables a different constellation and inside each escort card is an illustration of that constellation.

I love these stars hanging over the ceremony!

A wonderful bridesmaids gift would be to get a piece of jewelry for each of the girls personalized with their sign. On this bracelet from Julie Nolan on Etsy are subtle astrological symbols, love it! She has a bunch of other jewelry on her Etsy site too.

I love the beautifully subtle pattern on this cake. Reminds me of the milky way.

I’d love to toast with these champagne coupes dotted with stars:

Finally, what better inspiration than the real thing!

What do you think? Would you use constellations throughout your wedding? How would you incorporate them?
