Something Blue: Aqua Shoes

What I wouldn’t have given to be a part of this “little white dress” inspired shoot by Urbane Montage Events! The flowers, the colors, the dresses, the shoes, the accessories—I truly can’t handle it. The peachy melon and aqua color palette is my absolute favorite and the bouquets by Munster Rose are to die for. The little white dresses from Flutter Boutique that are featured in this shoot would be perfect for a rehearsal, reception dress, or even a summer party! Every detail of this shoot and all the photos by Ashley Nguyen Photography are pure 100% fabulousness.

It’s the post we’ve all been waiting for all color week: the shoe post! Without further ado, here’s a round-up of some incredibly fabulous indigo shoes…why not make them your something blue!

There are few things more feminine than a perfectly tied bow! From veils to sashes to shoes, bows are truly a head-to-toe accessory. We adore them whichever way they’re used, so there’s no question why they’re our current crush for brides!

Yellow shoes. What better to carry you around on your wedding day but some sunshine on your feet! While these shoes may night be the brightest shade of yellow, their softer tones are sure to bring some smiles to you and your bridesmaids.

Hi everyone! It’s Christen, hoping you’re all enjoying our sherbet week! It certainly wouldn’t be a color week if we didn’t include a post with all of our favorite sherbet-colored shoes! So here goes:

I’m a fan of aqua and I’m absolutely loving all the aqua posts here on EAD! When I was planning my wedding, I knew I wanted to use it for my bridesmaids dresses, but there were just so many variations on the color depending where I went and it was hard to pick which one was the right one for me. Here are a bunch of bridesmaids who are dressed in shades of aqua ranging from pale and icy to bright and fun just in case you’re running into similar problems!

Mr. and I took a trip up to Maine this week, and on the way up we stopped at the outlets in Freeport. I had no intention of buying anything, but he suggested that we stop in at Nine West, just in case I might find some shoes for the wedding. No really I promise, HE suggested it to ME. Anyway, I walked out of there with these:

Nothing says elegance quite like a classic wedding in Connecticut, and Deirdre and Mike’s big day was no exception. With not one, but two ceremonies (because two is always better than one, right?), this couple knew how to make sure their guests were entertained. The attention to detail was unmistakable from the gorgeous floral arrangements to Deirdre’s stunning gown that flowed effortlessly like the bride herself. But don’t let the elegance fool you, this wedding was far from stuffy. The reception was full of dancing, laughter, and all the quirky touches that make a wedding truly memorable. Congrats to the happy couple, and cheers to a lifetime of effortless love!

Ellie and Drew traveled from Texas to the beautiful Capen House on Lake Osceola for an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. Pixies and Petals ran with Ellie’s vision of a Lilly Pulitzer-inspired English garden with florals in vibrant shades of peach, raspberry, coral, and fuchsia and created a lush pink garden wonderland in the ceremony and reception space. Along with stunning florals, their day featured 3 different musicians, an epic grazing table, and even a few fun pranks! Kelsey and Scott exchanged vows in front of friends, family, and a spectacular cotton candy sunset on the bay where they both grew up. Even their adorable dog was able to enjoy the celebration, walking down the aisle adorned with the perfect floral collar! The couple chose to complement Waters Edge‘s natural beauty with french blue and sage tones, bleached driftwood collected by Scott’s mother, almost a thousand succulents, and clean white florals by Lush Flowers. Every detail, from Kelsey’s stunning Monique Lhuillier gown, to one of the coolest getaway vehicles we’ve ever seen, is elegant, glamorous, and perfectly captured by Paul and Grace Photography!

Valerie and Ken’s Tower Hill Botanical Garden wedding was like walking into another time. Every corner was filled with gorgeous flowers and art, every detail simple in its elegance. The greenhouses and gardens at Tower Hill inspired the color and style for their wedding. Julie Lapham Designs created arrangements with succulents and airplants, roses, eucalyptus, and anemone, and many of the succulents are now growing in the couple’s home! Seeded paper escort cards doubled as favors, a Jenga game served as the guest book, and colorful tabletops graced the Orangerie. The Ringling Museum is Sarasota’s most spectacular setting, so when Kim and Christian conveyed their vision to NK Productions Wedding Planning, they chose to accentuate the courtyard with lush greenery, white blooms, and pops of burgundy blooms. Victoria Blooms mixed anemones, garden roses, and delphinium to create a romantic, organic feel underneath trees festooned with chandeliers. The scrumptious cake from The Cake Zone was half key lime and half mango—true Florida flavors!—and featured a blue ombre design to add a pop of whimsy and color to the warm and neutral reception. We wish we were basking in the Florida sun and are spellbound by the gorgeous images by Justin DeMutiis Photography!

The beauty of historic Charleston took center stage for this chic inspiration shoot designed by Candi Leonard Photography and Pretty Petals of Charleston and coordinated by The Petal Report. Spanish moss-infused florals and unique greenery backdrops echoed the natural beauty of the Gadsen House, where the courtyard gates were the setting for the ceremony setup, and the nearby tabletop featured a unique and whimsical cake by Sweet Rhi. A boxwood bar cart, vintage mint green Plymouth, and gorgeous stationery by Gracefully Made Art complete the scene. So many fun touches at every turn, and it’s all perfectly captured in these images from Candi Leonard Photography!

We just returned from a fabulous week in NYC for Bridal Fashion Week, where we were introduced to new collections and offerings from the best of the best in wedding fashion. One of our favorite new lines? Lillian Wild‘s “Create” Collection- a customizable collection that is the epitome of modern, classic simplicity. Today’s gorgeous inspiration shoot, designed by Kelly Hancock Events, was inspired by the most stunning bridesmaids dresses by Dessy! The gorgeous mix and match gowns in coastal tones evoked the feeling of the ocean and sand, and thus a coastal theme was born. The classic silhouettes, pretty pleats, and textured fabrics in the dresses influenced the tabletop and other decor, with gauzy ribbons, a debossed wedding cake from Hands On Sweets, and subtle nautical details including driftwood, rope, and seaglass. FH Weddings & Events kept the florals loose and wild with protea, roses, oats, and greenery that echoed the oceanside surroundings of Tampa Bay Watch. Lasting Luxe Hair & Makeup glammed up the ladies in their flattering Dessy dresses. The comfy and chic styles even have pockets (I’m a sucker for dresses with pockets)! Jodi and Jared were married on a picture-perfect day at Waterside Restaurant and Catering in North Bergen, NJ. The dramatic Manhattan skyline as seen from the Hudson River was the perfect backdrop for their outdoor ceremony, which featured many lovely moments, including the traditional seven blessings as read by the couple’s aunts and uncles. The couple wanted their wedding to have a light and airy feel, and flowing Donna Morgan dresses for the ladies in shades of blue matched the sunny August skies and perfectly complemented Jodi’s Reem Acra gown from Kleinfeld Bridal. As the imposing skyline was visible from the venue’s floor to ceiling windows for the reception, Avenue Flowers & Gifts kept the centerpieces simple and low, with fresh white blooms. Jodi and Jared selected the band, Burnt Sienna, because they had caught their show at a local hotspot in Dewey Beach, Delaware, where they fell in love! The non-stop dance party was kicked off by the couple with a fabulous choreographed first dance, executed flawlessly right down to the “Dirty Dancing” style lift at the end! We are so excited to unveil the upcoming Fall 2015 collection from one of our absolute favorite designers, Sarah Seven! Sarah Seven is known for their ethereal, elegant gowns, and this set of frocks is undeniably stunning! The new collection features not only beautiful gowns (our favorite? The positively gorgeous Lafayette.), but also bustier tops, camisoles and rompers that can all be paired with the collection’s skirt styles!

The sweeping oak trees of Charleston’s Boone Hall Plantation were the perfect setting for Ashley and Dana’s wedding. Rustic glamour at its finest, A Charleston Bride utterly transformed the Cotton Dock with billowing swaths of sheer fabric, elegant chandeliers, fluffy flowers, and glittering candlelight, and a chic, modern cake from Delicious Desserts set atop a unique rustic cake stand. Our favorite detail from this true Southern soiree? In a nod to the Lowcountry location, bags of grits were handstamped as favors. We simply love these beautiful images from Virgil Bunao!
