Current Crush: Pretty Pomegranate
We may be a bit fruit-obsessed lately (figs anyone?), but with all of the colorful autumn fruits, can you blame us? This week we are crushing on the pomegranate, and it’s easy to see why! Poms make gorgeous escort cards, are an interesting and unique addition to centerpieces and bouquets, and their rich pink-red color just screams autumn!
Olive & Blush
You know well by now that we go weak-kneed for color palettes that are soft, elegant, and feminine—and nothing fits the bill more than the timeless choice of pale blush and olive green. Generous hints of rose gold abound, and garlands and sprigs of olive branch accompany lush arrangements of peonies and garden roses. Completely romantic and timeless!
Gray, Amber, Gold & Garnet
Gray, amber, gold and garnet—the perfect palette for a winter fête! Gray cools down an otherwise warm rainbow of hues that are at once classic and a bit bohemian. We love the idea of dressing bridesmaids in long, gray dresses while reserving the other colors for centerpieces, details, and of course, a fabulous pair of shoes!
Things I Love: Aged Silver
I love the look of unpolished, slightly tarnished silver. There is something so beautiful and elegant about aged silver. Old goblets, bowls, silverware, and even vintage trophies – all are treasures made even more special when they show their age. Pair with lush, fresh florals to keep the vessels looking like well-loved heirlooms.
Glittery Pink & Gold Bridal Shower Ideas
Glittery, frilly and romantic, this pink and gold bridal shower Inspired Creations concept from the Italian wedding planning gurus Bon Bon Studio (Laura Bravi of tren di nozze, Alessandra Aghilar of Almalu’s Place, Federica Piccinini of Sweet As a Candy, and Gaia Borzicchi of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland) is perfect for the bride-to-be who loves all things feminine and glam. Frothy tulle, ribbons, and sequins are present in abundance!
Preppy Meets Pretty
You might remember the enormously talented Sara Gray from her awesome Inspired Creations Contest winning concept, Dandelion Wine. I’m excited to welcome her back to EAD today with another beautiful styled shoot, one that’s romantic and preppy all at the same time.
Adorable Galentine’s Day Brunch
It’s Valentine’s Day, and as we all know, Valentine’s is meant to be enjoyed with the one(s) you love, so what better way to celebrate than with a fabulous Galentine’s Day brunch! Emily Elizabeth Events created this adorable “Girl Gang Gathering”, where she and several of her closest friends came together to sip, eat, chat, make Valentine’s Day cards, and create floral arrangements, and this is one party we wish we could attend! Pink and gold stationery from Paper Delights invited each lady to the gathering, where they were greeted with balloons festooning the entrance to Seattle’s Ollie Quinn and the most gorgeous tabletop with florals by Emily Elizabeth Events and dusty pink linens from La Tavola. We’re loving chic and modern details like acrylic standing mirrors, cut-out name place cards, and pink lip cookies, and the romance and elegance of the compote centerpieces, textured fabrics, and vintage trays displaying sips and bites. Galentine’s has never looked so fabulous and we are head over heels for every moment, captured beautifully on film by Blue Rose Photography!
Gilded Autumn Mauve & Wheat
When I finished this board, I literally clapped with excitement—I’m head over heels for the elegant autumn combination of mauve and gold with accents of wheat! Accents of modern white calligraphy, bouquets with berries, and feminine details like ribbons and Louboutins bring the romantic autumn feel to life. And how stunning is that wheat crown? Love!
Fresh Maritime Wedding Inspiration
We love this fresh take on nautical style in weddings! Pale pink and gray stationery from Suite Paperie is still nautical-chic, but in a softer presentation than crisp navy and red. Dulce Dreams Events directed a stunning shoot filled with soft blooms from L’Oasis that fit right into the soothing color palette. With images from Alexis June Weddings and Cyrience Photography on a gorgeous old-school sailboat at Maritime Parc, we just can’t get enough of this chic and sophisticated setting! Staying true to the theme, Madison Lee’s Cakes used real seashells for the molds on the cake, and brown sugar created the illusion of sand. The model’s intricate GEMY by Gemy Maalouf gown is stunning! We’re in love with this shoot from top to bottom—see every last detail in the gallery!
Pretty Pink + Gold Bridesmaid Tea Party
There is so much gorgeous inspiration in this collaboration shoot between Kristyn Hogan and the talented team at Historic Cedarwood, and we love it all! Amber Housley created the lovely floral stationery and helped direct the styling of this bridal party tea in the garden. Eclectic linens from Urban Outfitters ground the tables for a collection vintage dishware and vases on top, filled with bold blooms and some of the prettiest teacups we’ve ever seen! The bridal party sipped pink Champagne from Le Grande Courtage while playing dress-up in amazing gowns from The Bride Room and accessories by Beatrice Couture Designs styled by Opulent Couturier. And aren’t you just in love with the playful side pony styled by Jessica Jones? Run, don’t walk, to the gallery to soak up all of the inspiration!
Current Crush: Dance with Me
Name two of the most romantic, beautiful things in the world. Did you say ballerinas and brides? Never does a girl want to feel more like a princess than on their wedding day, and adding ballet-inspired details to your wedding certainly brings that fairy tale dream to life. Think lace, chiffon, blush ribbon, and tulle, and instead of cake, a classic croquembouche!
Ballet Pink, Wisteria, & Dusty Blue
Oh so romantic and beautiful, wisteria is one of my favorite hues, and it couldn’t be more gorgeous paired with a delicate ballet pink and dusty blue. This palette would be lovely for a winter soiree (with crisp snow? Be still my heart!), a spring fete (in a modern whitewashed loft?) or as a sultry summer choice (on the beach?).
Current Crush: Blush Stripes
We admit it, stripes have become our latest obsession! We’ve already crushed on sassy black and white stripes, but now we’re smitten with delicate and romantic blush, and we’re loving the trend of blush and white stripes in weddings! Such a beautiful way to add a bit of texture to your decor, gown, and even cake!
Chic Gray, Gold & Pale Salmon
As a true lover of neutrals (especially gray and gold), I’m always searching for a new twist on the old standard—colors that will stand the test of time and be all at once feminine, classic, and romantic. I may just have a new favorite, with this modern and sophisticated color board of gold, gray, and pale salmon. Not only is it timeless, it’s also beautiful for all seasons!
Elegant Blush + Peach Wedding Inspiration
We couldn’t think of any better way to start out a week than this positively gorgeous inspiration shoot from Easton Events and Jose Villa! Inspired by the old world allure of their Charleston setting, Fenwick Hall, the elegant tabletop was set beneath the canopy of a stunning oak tree with dripping Spanish moss. Soft blush and champagne flowers by Southern Blooms by Pat’s Floral Design set atop a beautiful table with fine heirloom china, perfectly polished silver, and flowing linens. An oriental rug and classic calligraphy invitations completed the picturesque scene. We are utterly in love with each and every detail, especially the perfect blush Carol Hannah gown! See all of the stunning images in the gallery!
