Real Weddings: Anthony + Todd

Magical and lovely, there may be no more peaceful setting than Atlanta’s tranquil Serenbe. The sustainable community was home to Chris and Megan’s gorgeous wedding, captured by the exceptional Melissa Schollaert Photography. Ashley Baber Weddings worked with Gloriosa to design a wedding that brought out the natural beauty of the surroundings, with greenery table runners, florals in shades of purple from lavender to violet, rustic wood tables, and chic modern touches such as the outdoor lounge area, sophisticated draping, and clean white calligraphy by MM Ink. Megan’s deep plum and garnet bouquet is the perfect complement to her effortlessly elegant gown from Bridals by Lori. We are spellbound by this beautiful soiree!

There is little that’s more stunning than a gold-and-orange hued autumn wedding, and Jenny and Brian’s affair at the Silver Lake Lodge at Deer Valley Resort doesn’t disappoint! Outdoors surrounded by Park City, Utah, mountains, the couple exchanged vows beneath a chuppah. Jenny wore an embroidered Heidi Elnora gown and, while she chose to keep things simple with no bridesmaids, the couple’s lab donned an orange bow tie and stood in for the occasion. Orange roses and calla lilies mixed with yellow and green florals and fall berries by Orchid Dynasty were rich and colorful in Jenny’s bouquet and on reception tables. Fiery blooms graced the cake from Deer Valley Resort, set amidst a gorgeous fall-inspired reception indoors, with flawless decor orchestrated by Soiree Productions. All of the images from Pepper Nix are simply breathtaking!

We just love when country meets chic, and where better for such a wedding than Austin’s Camp Lucy? Gerrie and Ryan threw a laid-back but sophisticated party, with elegant gray bridesmaids dresses, bold flowers balanced with earthy succulents by Merveille Floral & Design Atelier, and desserts from Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop. A-Town Disc Jockey Service, Inc., provided tunes for guests to get down to after feasting on a delicious spread from Pink Avocado. We’re still smiling at these wonderful photos from The Nichols!

Even though Katie and Sam didn’t imagine a traditional ceremony for their wedding celebration, judging from these images from Daria Bishop Photographers, they still pulled off an affair that was both classic and all their own. The spring setting—Sam’s great-grandparents’ home on the Ottauquechee River in Woodstock, Vermont—meant the landscape was alive with yellows and greens. A Schoolhouse Garden pulled bouquet and centerpiece inspiration from the surroundings and sprinkled in some birch details that lent a casual vibe. There was no shortage of sweet treats for guests: Jason Merrill of The Quechee Club set up s’mores by the river, while Vermont Cake Studio delivered a textured buttercream creation topped with vibrant yellow and green flowers. Katie and Sam kept their ceremony short and sweet so they could get on with the party—dancing to music from The Grift, where everyone could catch a glimpse of Katie’s bright yellow shoes beneath her romantic Jenny Yoo gown.

The picturesque shore of Lake Leelanau in Traverse City, Michigan, was a lovely gathering ground for the wedding of Ilana and Matt, who had family flying in from both coasts as well as overseas. The couple wanted a laid-back party for their “favorite people in the world,” and this one was full of style, too—from the custom sash made of feathers, moss and bark around the waist of Ilana’s J.Crew wedding gown to the casually elegant wildflower and herb arrangements from Bloom. An outdoor ceremony at Crooked Creek Ranch took advantage of the water views, while the property’s rustic barn was a gorgeous woodland scene for the reception, including a delicious four-tier cake from Aunt B’s embellished with a cascading fondant branch and leaves. These images from Harrison Studio make it clear this was one fun event—from the spirited dancing to Lady Sunshine and the X Band to the groom grabbing the mic to serenade his bride with “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher.”

Jacquelyn and Stewart’s wedding was a labor of love. Family members and friends gathered to help craft the “simple, natural and not over the top” vision Jacquelyn had for the day. They collected wine bottles and vintage containers from flea markets, which the bride’s mother filled with fresh flowers on the wedding day. A family friend welcomed the couple and their guests onto their private estate for the affair and “as you can see we were thrilled about that and felt so blessed by it,” Jacquelyn said. White tags tied to wine corks were pinned to a board and served as the couple’s escort card display, a detail we adore! Braedon Photography captured the natural beauty of the day so well that we feel as if we are basking in the sunshine with the bride and groom!

Gabrielle and Chris wanted to get married somewhere that felt enchanted and once they saw the natural beauty and elegance of Meadowood Napa Valley they knew it was the right place! Their outdoor ceremony was held in front of a marvelous birch altar adorned with hanging sweet pea and although they did not have a bridal party, their adorable puppy, Lola, acted as their ring bearer. The flowers by Cherries Flowers are the epitome of natural elegance and included garden roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, jasmine, and astilbe. I’m absolutely in love with their unique escort cards: a sparkling display of natural crystals and gemstones wrapped in copper wire and set upon a bed of moss. Each table had an explanation of the spiritual meaning of its stone, the head table being Amethyst which symbolized “pure and true emotional love.” Enjoy these incredible photos by the amazing Gia Canali!

An October wedding in the heart of the Colorado mountains?  Yes please!  Cori and Nate’s nuptials were held at the heavenly Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Fraser, CO.  The Rocky Mountains were the spectacular backdrop for the outdoor ceremony. Dinner was served in the gorgeous Broad Axe Barn, made up of a historical building that was moved onto the ranch, piece by piece, and perfectly fit back together. Alexan Events completely transformed the barn into an elegant reception space with taffeta curtains and candlelit lanterns.  The violet and green color palette is so beautiful, and I’m completely head over heels for these amazing images from Preston Utley!

There’s nothing more lovely than New England in the fall.  Vermont’s Inn at Mountain View Farm was the gorgeous setting for Kristen and Ben’s October wedding, which is chock full of handmade love!  These two designed their dream wedding on their own, but they couldn’t have put it together without the help of their family and friends.  Kristen’s father collected the mason jars, milk glass, and medicine bottles for the centerpieces, and along with Ben, transformed the barn by stringing 1200 feet of twinkle lights! A close family friend sewed the table runners, and Kristen and Ben were involved in each and every detail of the planning process, including working with Danika of Blomma Flicka Flowers to choose the wheat and wildflower decor.  A beautiful wedding full of love, laughter, and joy – and fabulous images from Deborah Zoe Photo!

Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Stunning florals and greenery by Colleen Rogin West complimented the flora and fauna of the estate perfectly! Dana was stunning in her Maggie Sottero lace gown, while her bridesmaids donned pale blue chiffon bridesmaids gowns. Sara and Conner met while were both were on vacation in Nashville. There was an instant connection, and after spending as much time together as possible during that trip, they began dating long distance and were married at Nashville’s Cedarwood just over a year later. Their festive, intimate dinner party was a nod to Sara’s Southern roots. Magnolia leaf place cards were set atop each place setting on long wooden tables where each flower was handpicked by the bride. The couple’s monogram was sprinkled throughout, even on the wreath above the historic home’s door. From their ceremony on the rolling hills of the estate to the reception glimmering with candlelight, we are smitten with this entire day, beautifully photographed by Erin Lee Allender!

Whitney and Matt were married on a picture perfect summer day at Charleston, SC’s historic Boone Hall Plantation. A classic color palette of blush and gold accented the rustic beauty of the location. The front lawn, with its ancient oak trees and ornate gate played host to the ceremony, and the reception on the Cotton Dock was decked out with greenery and lush blooms by Lindsay Bishop Events, with chandeliers and candles adding a touch of sparkle to the natural surroundings. Ruffled LulaKate bridesmaids dresses in peony pink added a fun pop of color and perfectly accented Whitney’s gown from Bridals by Lori. Morgan, who is in interior design, and Zac, a bridge designer, are both huge lovers of aesthetic and architecture, so when envisioning their perfect day location and visual touches were second only to a fantastic and personal celebration. Working with Lauren Field Design, the couple chose The Forest Park Visitors Center in St Louis for their warm and rustic autumn soiree. They opted not to do a first look, which made the first moment they saw each other during their ceremony even more special. Morgan and Zac’s taste and style were never more apparent than in their choice of attire, both for themselves and their attendants. Morgan donned a showstopping Rivini lace mermaid gown, while her maids glittered in gold sequin sheaths from Nordstrom, and Zac opted for a classic navy tux, and the result is a positively glamorous wedding party! The leaves are turning, temps are getting a smidge cooler, and autumn is set to make its grand entrance soon, so what better way to celebrate than with a stunning early fall wedding from one of our favorites, Amy Arrington Photography! Vinewood Plantation, a historical plantation home just outside of Atlanta, played host to Melissa and Zach’s whimsical celebration. J. Elliot Style designed an event that’s a mix of rustic and sophisticated, with elegant lanterns and greenery adorning the tree serving as the backdrop for the outdoor ceremony, and swaths of greenery and vivid blooms from Virtu Floral and Event Design gracing the wooden tables for the barn reception. We’re crushing hard on Melissa’s eclectic bouquet – a mix of anemones, ranunculus, dahlia, rose, and even kumquats in early autumn shades make for a stunning addition to her lace gown. Alexis and Wade’s intimate mountain wedding has us completely spellbound! Designed by the incredible Virginia of Bluebird Productions, their natural and organic wedding featured abundant foliage to echo the gorgeous setting. The rustic surroundings of The Smith Cabin seem a world away from Aspen, and Bluebird Productions and Prema found the perfect cliffside location to hold the couple’s ceremony. It’s a view (and a moment) that we’re sure no one in attendance will ever forget! We simply adore how Alexis’s bridal style mixes rustic and elegant, with a fantastic Reem Acra gown and floral crown by Prema. Every moment is sophisticated simplicity, right down to the petite cake from Megan Joy Cakes. Mountain brides and grooms, you won’t want to miss these incredible images from Emily Sacco Photography!

Lacee and Matt’s vision of an effortless, romantic autumn wedding came to life when they selected the scenic barn at Southwind Hills to play host to their November nuptials. Along with a dream team of Oklahoma wedding pros including the spectacular Poppy Lane Design, the couple designed a wedding filled with lush, natural flowers, candlelight, and dramatic draping. Theirs was a wedding filled with personal touches, from the ceremony altar, handmade by Matt’s family, to Lacee’s garter, sewn by her Great Grandmother, and to commemorate the joining of their families, cherished photos were displayed at the reception. The couple had a hand in each detail, from flowers to fashion. Lacee is the picture of understated elegance in a custom gown from Helen Enox Fine Fabrics and Jimmy Choo heels, and Matt’s bespoke tuxedo from MySuit and Gucci shoes are picture-perfect. Champagne bridesmaids dresses complete the bridal party, with bouquets designed to appear as if they were freshly gathered. The complete devotion and total joy shared by Lacee and Matt is evident in each gorgeous frame captured by Jenny McCann!

Rachel and Charlie’s Wisconsin wedding is the epitome of relaxed elegance. The only wedding ever to be held at Door County’s historical Horseshoe Bay Farms did not disappoint, as the couple worked with Carrie of Door County Event Planners to perfectly blend the grand property’s charming setting with a show-stopping reception tent for a magical result. After a waterside ceremony, guests were greeted with champagne-filled glasses for their short walk to the farm, and Rachel and Charlie embraced each guest as they entered cocktail hour under a stunning, larger than life canopy created by Flora Flowershop. The classic Sperry reception tent was filled with a sea of paper lanterns and a mix of unique tabletops, from farmhouse tables to rounds, each with a different centerpiece. A perfect Door County sunset and the glow of the tent illuminated the barns, resulting in a marvelous scene not likely to be forgotten. Madeline describes her wedding to Garrett as “the best day of my life, full of people I love and incredible memories.” After an intimate ceremony at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, the couple gathered with their closest friends and family for a fabulous party at This is the Place Heritage Park. Their reception was classic and glamorous, filled with rustic details. Tinge Floral created lush, natural arrangements in shades of blush, pink, and green, with a mix of floral centerpieces and arrangements of tall olive branches. For a personal touch, Madeline hand-lettered the menus, place cards, and invitations, creating wonderful keepsakes of their special day! Guests were treated to a cozy dinner with gourmet fare from Le Croissant Catering, and danced the night away to tunes from The Gatsbys. The warm and wonderful feelings of the day were captured beautifully by Green Apple Photography!

Hampshire offers up some of the most stunning views of rolling fields and tree lined horizons and Bonhams Barn fit the bill perfectly for this English countryside inspiration designed by The Wedding Stylist. Sarah of Floribunda Rose created stunning florals with mocha dahlias and gorgeous British foliage, apples on stems, ripening berries and soft ferns. Even the deserts gave their nod to the rustic, countryside setting with fresh local berry tartlets & trio of wedding cakes by Abi Anna Cake Designs. We love the classic touches such as antique cut crystal vases, spools with hand-lettered cotton paper at each place setting, and beautiful trestle table. Amy and JR’s Lowcountry wedding is all about rustic Southern romance! Held at The Lake House at Bulow in Charleston, their wedding showcased the gorgeous waterfront lodge beautifully and paid homage to fall with pretty pastel blooms from Renee DeVane in shades of the season. Punchy turquoise chairs and wooden tables from Ooh! Events set beneath the reception tent, lit with pretty gold chandeliers from Snyder Events. We adore how Amy and JR incorporated the littles into their ceremony, with fairy-like flower girls and an adorable wagon full of greenery carrying the littlest ring bearer. Amy’s One Love Designs lace gown is perfect for fall in South Carolina. We simply adore each beautiful image from Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay!
