Real Weddings: Austin + Brian

We are smitten with Karen and Michael’s classic wine country wedding! With the help of Covenant Coordinating, their vision of an intimate gathering at Mayacama fell into place. A seasonal color palette of burgundy, eggplant, taupe, and olive echoed the gorgeous surroundings, and lovely florals by Maria Philbin Floral Design dressed gorgeous tabletops set amongst the votive-lit trees. Karen is radiant in her Amy Kuschel gown and Kate Spade heels, which are perfectly complemented by her ladies’ J. Crew dresses. We love each and every image from Julie Mikos | Photographer!

I’m pretty sure if I was still planning my own nuptials, Walker and Scott’s gorgeous Sonoma winery wedding would be at the top of my inspiration list. Reflecting the couple’s love of wine country, the event was fresh, elegant, and romantic. Stunning roses, hydrangeas, and orchids decorated Mayacama in a palette of soft peaches, creams, and bright greens. Guests dined under olive trees that were dotted with sparkly hanging votives as the sun set. Such an incredible wedding and I’m so excited to share these gorgeous photos by Julie Mikos with you! Enjoy!

Sonoma Valley weddings are one of the few guarantees in life: always breathtaking! Kristy and Charles chose B.R. Cohn Winery & Olive Oil Company in Glen Ellen for their festivities, and they got a picture-perfect day, which shows clearly in the images from photographer Julie Mikos. The short, salmon-colored lace bridesmaids dresses—custom made by Eileen West—are sweet and romantic paired with small bouquets of dahlias, parrot tulips and small succulents from PoppyStone Floral Couture. Olive topiaries placed at the ceremony site and on reception tables gave a nod to the vineyard locale. Kristy’s simple but fabulous Romona Keveza Collection gown complemented the surroundings as well, a timeless but statement-making strapless dress topped with a Swarovski Crystal necklace that’s fit for Cinderella! Meritage Catering took care of all the delicious details, including a small cake topped with the most adorable bride, groom and dog we’ve ever seen—the perfect ending to a fairy tale day!

Leah and Jason were married at Casa Real in Pleasanton, CA. I’m a huge fan of the golds, creams, and pinks that they chose for their color palette, so warm and pretty! The flowers by Delford West Flowers feature some swoon-worthy blooms and were the perfect choice to help the couple create their classic and elegant feel. Leah and Jason look so beautiful and happy and as always, the images from Julie Mikos are stunning!

We’re not sure it gets more breathtaking than celebrating your wedding at a winery in Sonoma! Stephanie and Frank chose the gorgeous Viansa Winery for theirs, and the couple agrees that “reality exceeded our expectations!” Volatile Photography captured every little detail, from the soft pink and cream blooms fashioned by Vanda Floral Design to the vibrant rose-topped cake from Fleur de Lisa. The romantic tented reception area, with lots of pink, white and gold details, is making us swoon. We are in ooh-la-la love with Stephanie’s hot pink Badgley Mischka shoes—the jewel-encrusted brooch on each one repeats the same detail as the edging of her Pronovias gown. It’s the little things that make a big day!

File Kelly and Trevor’s Sonoma, California, wedding under “Exactly What to Do,” because it doesn’t get much better than this! A sophisticated celebration at Cline Cellars captured the essence of what the couple envisioned—one big, fun party for their friends and family. Understated Champagne-colored bridesmaids dresses allowed Kelly’s Ines Di Santo gown to take center stage beneath a canopy of trees at the outdoor ceremony. Pale peach, pink, and ivory bouquets and centerpieces by Violetta sit pretty against a rustic setting that included plenty of vineyard greenery and wine barrels. We can never get enough of creative, personalized details, like monogrammed Mr. and Mrs. chair covers, a whimsical bride-and-groom bird topper on the confection from Forget-Me-Not-Cakes, and—oh!—that fabulous vintage getaway car. Mandy and Jim’s wedding was a wedding guest’s dream. Spectacular views, to-die-for florals, a gorgeous outdoor reception, and a fantastic favor to take home! Their florals by Maria Philbin were a true dream: phalaenopsis orchids, peonies, hydrangea, and roses to make up Mandy’s bouquet, and an aisle decorated with the most lush peonies, roses, and tulips! It’s enough to make one a bit woozy. A marvelous day for sure with fantastic photos by the lovely Julie Mikos!

Every single element of Candice and RJ’s Napa wedding is pure romance. From the rich red and lavender color palette, to the candlelit reception in the wine cave of Calistoga Ranch, to Candice’s stunning ruffled and sashed Le Jeune Mariee gown, Adrianne Elizabeth Event Planning created an event that little girls dream of! A dash of glam, a touch of drama, and completely elegant, my heart beats a little faster from these gorgeous photos by Red Gallery Photography!

Oh how I love a winery wedding! Always classy and elegant with just the right touch of rustic. Mio and Dave’s spin on their Southern California winery wedding incorporates bold red and green florals by Mitsuko Floral in with the rustic elegance of Ponte Family Estate Winery. Brides who love red and green but want to know how to use it without hints of the holidays: take note! This is absolutely the way to do it. They also incorporate lots of mossy details such as their table numbers, topiaries, and even some mossy hanging monograms. Utterly in love with this wedding and all the photos by the wonderful Adrienne Gunde!

Temecula’s picturesque Ponte Winery played host to Marie and Derek’s classic California wedding with handmade touches. To share the love with their guests, the couple and their family incorporated handmade touches, such as blueberry jam favors, a DIY photo booth backdrop, and custom striped tablecloths for the dessert table (with the most adorable giant L-O-V-E balloons!). Marie had her heart set on anemones for her bouquet and enlisted Oak & the Owl to bring her simple, classic vision to life! A big blue and white striped bow completed the gorgeous bridal bouquet, which perfectly complemented Marie’s Amsale gown. Frost My Cake created a beautiful confection which continued the blue-and-white striped decor. Maria Longhi captured this joyful day with style, and we’re head over heels!

We are simply dazzled by Devin and Ryan’s gorgeous Napa Valley wedding, held at a lush private estate in the heart of wine country! Lush spring blooms, olive branches, and details in lovely peach and green hues make this affair classic and pretty, all thanks to the expertise of Napa Valley Custom Events by Sharon Burns. Even the invitations from Foglio Press incorporate the olive leaf theme. Devin’s romantic strapless gown and filmy peach bridesmaids dresses are lovely at the outdoor ceremony, which was also punctuated with peonies and other exotic blooms from Julie Stevens Design. These images from Julie Kay Kelly Photography are just brimming with beautiful details, and we love them all!

The always elegant setting of Beaulieu Garden in Rutherford, California, proved to be the perfect location for Danielle and Tomas’s Napa Valley wedding. From the outdoor ceremony to the reception held beneath weaving grapevines and crystal chandeliers, the rule of the day was simplicity. Classic ivory, pink, and blush florals by Cherries were lush while the monochromatic scheme kept them understated. Julie Mikos Photographer captured gorgeous details such as the blush pink ruched Monique Lhuillier bridesmaids dresses and Danielle’s column gown with lace touches by Annasul Y. We love the watercolor details on stationery by Wedding Paper Divas and the blend of rustic and sophisticated decor helmed by Dee Merz. The cake festooned with fresh blooms by Perfect Endings is, indeed, the perfect ending to this amazing affair—see it all in the gallery!

There is something so effortlessly elegant about Laurie and Michael’s sun-washed wedding on the grounds of the gorgeous The Villa of San Juan Capistrano. Could that be because the bride is a Newport Beach, California interior designer?! Laurie put her skills to work for her wedding, envisioning a vibrant, French-inspired affair complete with the happiest floral arrangements by Floral Occasions. From casually color-coordinated bridesmaids dresses to burlap-wrapped water bottles, we’re in love with every single detail that Troy Grover Photographers captured!

Meghan and Michael enjoyed a two year engagement, during which time the bride planned every detail of their day to perfection. “We started collecting vintage mercury glass the second I said ‘yes,’” she said. Meghan Haney Designs would later use the vessels to create a vintage chic affair with soft white and pink blooms. Wente Vineyards was the stunning backdrop for this California wedding, where photographer Bret Cole snapped some incredible portraits outside the property’s wine caves. We adore the soft patterned linens from Napa Valley Linens and the couple’s creative use of wine barrels as cocktail tables! Do you have a favorite detail?

Chelsea and Evan’s rustic Charlottesville Virginia wedding, photographed by Eric Kelley, is divine. The couple gave Pat’s Floral Design complete creative freedom when it came to crafting casual centerpieces for the wooden farmhouse tables. “Our main words of guidance were that we wanted a laid-back look of seasonal wildflowers in no particular color palette,” said the bride. “What they came up with was incredible.” From an elegant ceremony arch made of two antique doors to herb table decor in natural clay pots, we couldn’t agree more! Cheslea looked simply stunning in her lace Monique Lhuillier gown. But our favorite detail? Perhaps the chalkboard seating chart, which a friend of the couple wrote out “in her beautiful handwriting,” the bride said.

An elegant, intimate, natural, and absolutely perfect event, Erica and Brian travelled from Kansas to Napa for their wedding with only eight guests. I’m blown away by the effortless style and sophistication of their entire event at Meadowood from the gorgeous scenery to Erica’s J. Crew gown to the natural dogwood and hydrangea centerpieces by Kate Stanley. Members of the intimate guest list dined together at one table, sharing delicious wine and food from the venue. Every single detail of this wedding is absolute perfection and I’m in love with these photos by Megan Holly Clouse!

New Yorkers Michele and Ron chose Auberge du Soleil in Napa for their destination wedding. The entire event was impeccably elegant, no detail was left out! They used their family crest throughout their wedding, from the invitations, to the favors, even on the cake! I love the beautiful pink florals by Valley Flora in assorted silver vessels and the use of moss and burlap wrapped favors brought just a touch of rustic into the event. It gives it a very old-world European feel, don’t you think? From top to bottom, every single detail of this wedding is absolutely divine and I’m so thankful to Julie Mikos for these gorgeous photos today!

Gabi and Paul were married at the stunning Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin, California. Working with the beautiful natural features of the venue, the couple chose a vivid green and white color palette and decorated with mason jars, a ton of candles, and twinkling string lights above the reception area. I love the unique flowers that Jose Ibarra Floral Designs used to complement the more traditional flowers like hydrangea and absolutely adore the flowers that hung by ribbons over their ceremony! When Lauren and Sam were dating, they would often ride past a particular house in Gastonia, North Carolina where every time Sam too would comment “that’s my dream house.” It went on for the next 2 1/2 years until after Sam popped the question and the couple decided on an outdoor wedding with Southern Living flair. What better location than their dream home so they went to ask if they could get married in the field outside the barn. The homeowners were delighted!  Speaking of dreams, these gorgeous blooms by Carey Roberts Designs are a dream come true for me! Each and every little detail is so gorgeous and photographed beautifully by Almond Leaf Studios.

Jordyn and Joey’s wedding is just straight up fabulous. It took place in gorgeous Santa Monica at the Marion Davies Guest House of Annenberg Community Beach House which Jordyn described as “old-school Hollywood glam meets laid-back beachy Santa Monica.” She is absolutely stunning in her (rented!) Pronovias gown as are her bridesmaids in their fabulous Adrianna Papell dresses. I’m in love with the beautiful dahlia and hydrangea-filled florals by Jardin Floral Design who worked to incorporate the design of the couple’s Wedding Paper Divas invitations throughout the entire event.
