Real Weddings: Karen + John

Elegant in every way with gorgeous silvery white details, Kara and Jason were married outside at the stunning Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. Hints of burlap and twine make this wedding just a touch rustic and I love the cool grey silver brunia and dusty miller within all the soft white florals by Camelback Flowershop. Their long wooden centerpieces work perfectly with the long tables for their outdoor reception. I absolutely love this wedding and all the beautiful photos by Gina Meola Photography!

Monique and Josh’s Scottsdale wedding was filled to the brim with soft, romantic, and elegant details. I can’t get over the breathtaking scenery, old-world charm, and incredible oversized doors of their venue, Montelucia. Monique’s Lazaro gown is swoon-worthy and the beautiful florals by Camelback Flower Shop are the perfect mix of elegance and romance in beautiful pinks and whites. We love the pretty pastels woven throughout Su and Ray’s outdoor wedding at Promontory Point in Chicago’s Burnham Park. Lush bouquets of pink and cream ranunculus and peonies mixed with dusty miller by Vale of Enna are the perfect complement to romantic coral bridesmaids dresses by Jarlo. Su’s Vera Wang gown is hands-down one of our favorites ever, with a big structured bow taking the focal point of the gown’s front. To celebrate their heritage, Su and Ray incorporated a tea ceremony into the celebrations, and the red dress Su wore to cut the cake from Bridgeport Bakery is simply stunning! We are swooning over these beautiful images from Kina Wicks!

Today’s Friday Flowers is pure sophisticated elegance! Working with the beautiful setting of Scottsdale’s Country Club at DC Ranch, Petal Pusher and Stephanie Fay Photography created a vibrant tabletop and dessert table in shades of deep fuchsia, royal blue, and gold. We adore all of the elegant touches, including calligraphy menus by LittleOwl Letterpress and gorgeous flowing chair covers from Wildflower Linen, and are completely over the moon for the embossed gold cake created by Classic Cakes and Confections (and the sparkly dessert table backdrop too!). Prepare to swoon over all of the glamorous details!

It doesn’t get any better than a gorgeous bride, stunning florals, fabulous accessories, and a beautiful venue, and Maryanne and Dan’s Arizona wedding was exactly that! Maryanne looks like a celebrity and how fantastic are her Badgley Mischka shoes? We’re already huge fans of Petal Pusher, and these stunning peach and orange florals are just incredible. A nod to Maryanne’s father who loved orange groves, the main color of their decor was orange with hints of blush and light green. I absolutely love the use of ferns and wood elements throughout their centerpieces too! Belinda and Jim’s wedding is not only about as sophisticated and elegant as it gets, but it’s got an utterly fantastic pop of bold color throughout too! Bridesmaids in bright pink BCBG dresses, vibrant pink and red florals dripping with crystals by City of Commerce Flower, and glittering pink favors at each place setting, all set against their stunning venue Athenaeum at Caltech. The venue by itself is amazing, but then add in all these incredible details? I’m 100% smitten. Oh and add in the perfection that is Belinda’s Valentino heels? Make that 110%. Bravo to the whole team responsible for this gorgeous wedding and to Marvin Tsai for the beautiful photos!

Clary Pfeiffer is behind the lens of so many of our favorite weddings, and when her photographic genius is paired with the talented Brit Stewart Weddings, magic happens! Kim and Andrew’s St. Louis wedding at World’s Fair Pavilion is just that magic, with the most lovely garden feel! Sisters Flowers incorporated the couple’s color palette of pinks, soft greens, and pale purples into the lush, romantic florals – I absolutely adore the beautiful textures in Kim’s bouquet! The black linens and chairs added even more elegance and sophistication to an already gorgeous wedding venue. Guests celebrated with the newlyweds while watching the sun set and the fabulous Clary Photo captured the whole beautiful day!

She’s a University of South Carolina girl, he’s a Citadel boy, and they both love southern history. This shared interest was a huge inspiration to Katie and James as they planned their Charleston wedding, choosing The Citadel Summerall Chapel for their ceremony then moving afterwards to the third most historic building in the country, The Old Exchange, for their reception. The celebration was impeccably designed by Sara Hosch of Southern Protocol, classically elegant, soft, and romantic, with absolutely gorgeous florals by Branch Design Studio. The images by Paige Winn Photography capture Katie and James’ day beautifully!

Katie and Ryan’s Rochester Hills, Michigan wedding may as well have been set in a faraway European village for all of its breathtaking fairy-tale details. Starting with a ceremony at First Congregational Church of Rochester, where old-world elegance abounds, Katie walked down the aisle in a gown from Le Salon that can only be described as amazing. Her cathedral-length veil featured embroidery that gave the ensemble a vintage feel. A bridal party dressed in black and white added drama to the day. For the reception at Meadow Brook, lush cream and pink flowers from Bellisario Floral and an abundance of white candles set on silver stands created an ethereal atmosphere. One of our favorite details is the classic cake from Sweet and Savory Bake Shop set on an antique gold stand atop gold sequin linens. Simply gorgeous! Kiera and Jay’s wedding feels like a warm spring day, thanks to deep lavender bridesmaids dresses by Priscilla of Boston and a gorgeous Arizona landscape at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa. Adding to the seasonal feel are lush flower garlands and petite fuchsia and purple bouquets by Flora Bella. We love how every detail is perfectly coordinated, thanks to Outstanding Occasions. Modern embellishments on the classic silhouette of Kiera’s Melissa Sweet gown makes it a timeless show-stopper, and we adore the bow sash! Kaitlyn and John’s Phoenix wedding, planned by Outstanding Occasions, was pretty pink perfection! Florals by Petal Pusher really knocked it out of the park, from the breathtaking ceremony canopy and lush bouquets, the stunning centerpieces and a sweetheart table almost completely draped in a blanket of flowers, to the petite wrapped bundles of flowers for guests as they picked up their escort cards! We absolutely love the touch of bling for the reception, it’s the perfect amount of sparkle for this fabulous fête. Kelly and Jim’s wedding was a day that their guests will no doubt never forget! Although their Laguna Beach wedding at Montage was breathtakingly gorgeous with the most perfect details imaginable, what truly makes this wedding beautiful is how much thought they put into creating a day that was special for their family and friends. The event was filled with family traditions and special touches like an “I love you” chant at the ceremony and men’s and women’s poppers at each place setting! It’s sentiments like these that make a wedding special and truly memorable! But we’d be remiss if we didn’t also discuss the gorgeous floral arrangements by Tic Tock Couture Florals. We can’t get enough of those draping orchids flowing from both the the ceremony and reception arrangements and all of the stunning photos from Leigh Miller Photography!

I’m not sure I could envision a more beautiful lakefront wedding than Amber and Andy’s Michigan nuptials. The view was so gorgeous at their ceremony they were worried an arbor would distract from the view, so BLOOM created magnificent hydrangea-and-rose-filled urns to line the aisle. The perfect complement to such a beautiful ceremony! The elegant ballroom at The Inn at Bay Harbor was decorated with coral and peach flowers and touches of nautical details. Amber and Andy are the most gorgeous couple and we are utterly in love with these images from Amy Carroll Photography!

Pretty flowers, pale pink dresses, and an elegant outdoor venue… Laura and Steve’s Nashville wedding is garden party perfection! The details of their wedding truly couldn’t be prettier. They chose a palette of pale pink and mint green and selected hydrangea, peonies, and roses in arrangements by Enchanted Florist to decorate the outdoor gazebo at CJ’s off the Square. I love the paper flower escort cards and the gorgeous chandeliers but I can’t stop drooling over her amazing Louboutins! What a marvelous day with marvelous photos by Kristyn Hogan!

If Diana and Danny’s everyday lives are even half as chic as their Southern California wedding, they’re definitely some of the most stylish people ever! This beautiful couple was married at the Cravens Estate in Pasadena surrounded by friends and family from all over. There are many details about their wedding that I love (like Diana’s amazing shoes and accessories) but once I saw their colorful florals I was smitten! Rooted Harmony blended rich textures and colors to create bright and elegant arrangements that include peonies, roses, wax flower, astilbe, eucalyptus, and even succulents! There’s something about military weddings that always seems incredibly feminine to me. Perhaps it’s the juxtaposition of the strict military dress that makes lush florals and a soft color palette even more girly? Whatever it is, Christina and Andrew’s gorgeous Nashville wedding is a perfect example of that romantic and feminine feel. The Enchanted Florist put together the perfect recipe for romantic flowers: peonies, lisianthus, tea roses, hydrangea, and callas in pretty pink and coral shades. Their The Hermitage Hotel reception could not have been more elegant with lots of rich gold and pink details, the ideal location for a picture-perfect sword arch and other gorgeous moments all captured by the wonderful Kristyn Hogan Photography.

Erin and Max are a Chicago couple who planned an Arizona destination wedding, and what better setting than the beautiful Sanctuary on Camelback Resort & Spa. After an outdoor ceremony with the picturesque view of Paradise Valley, guests moved inside to the ballroom where they were greeted by positively gorgeous florals from Petal Pusher – deep purple lisianthus, stock, tulips, and astilbe. Utterly in love with the stunning portraits by Jennifer Bowen!

Tracy and Mike’s Kauai wedding is absolute perfection! Dressed in a gorgeous Vera Wang gown and carrying a ruffly white bouquet filled with peonies by Martin Roberts Design, Tracy married Mike under floral garlands on a picture-perfect beach at The St. Regis Resort in Princeville, Kauai. Their all-white reception was classy and elegant with mercury votives sparkling under a variety of fresh white blooms, the most impressive of which being the tall, cascading orchid centerpieces. These gorgeous photos by Jen Huang capture this incredible destination wedding – one of our favorites of the year – and all the elegant details of the day!

When Lexie and Erik were planning their Southern California wedding, they knew they wanted “a big WOW factor.” What they actually got on their big day was not just a wedding with “wow” but a breathtakingly glamorous and intimate celebration that they shared with their closest friends and family. Enchanted Florist created stunning, perfectly over-the-top arrangements cascading with a variety of white flowers for their glamorous reception at Pelican Hill. Lexie absolutely rocked her Ines DiSanto gown (the word “fierce” comes to mind) and white Louboutins. And finally, my laptop would certainly not be covered in drool without the incredible photos by Gavin Wade Photographers!

If I were to describe Lindsey and Dan’s wedding in 3 words, they would be magical, elegant, and glamorous. Lindsey is positively stunning in her stunning Monique Lhuillier gown, and you can’t get much more glamorous and elegant than their venue, the Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix. Oh, and the magical part? The breathtaking flowers by White House Flowers. Color, color everywhere!
