Blush and Ivory Tablescape

It’s usually about this time of year when snow melts, birds start to fly back, and plants that have been sleeping all winter begin to peek through the warming ground. This fabulous spring-inspired shoot by Greia Marlow Events and Kor Floral is a nod to all those elements we see emerging this time of year. Not quite in bloom yet, they featured bulbs and greenery in a modern tablescape in a neutral palette. You already know I’m a fan of dipped glassware, and I adore these modern invitations by SeeLeigh! The perfect amount of spring and winter in each of these beautiful photos by Nicole Chan Photography!

Well hello readers! It’s been a heart-stopping summer and now that things have calmed down for a season over at In The Now Weddings, I’m anxious to get back into the swing of things here at EAD! I must admit, I’ve missed you all. Your kind words, encouragement, inspired designs and enthusiasm for the industry… so YAY for being home!!

We love the clean, graphic punches in Lisa and Marc’s Alberta, Canada wedding! Elegant white blooms—calla lilies, hydrangeas, and roses—from The Wild Orchid dominate the day, first at the Catholic ceremony at St. Joachim Parish and then at the Riverview Room of the Shaw Conference Centre for the reception. Lisa paired a calla lily bouquet with her Jenny Yoo Collection gown and short, mod veil from Sara Gabriel. Jennifer Bergman Weddings handled the planning and design for Lisa and Marc, who chose pops of green and navy to brighten reception tables. A tall wedding cake sans frosting from Cake Couture Edible Art is another nod to the couple’s modern sensibilities. Lisa and Marc are positively beaming in the photos on the campus where they met. Marie and Tim’s wedding at The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida, combines the beauty of the beach with the understated elegance only a venue like the The Ritz-Carlton can provide! Dressed in a sweetheart gown with crystal brooch detail, Marie married Tim with views of the ocean as their ceremony backdrop — that, and a gorgeous floral arbor popping with pink and white blooms! We adore the cowl-neck mauve dresses that bridesmaids donned, as well as the round rose and ranunculus bouquets they carried. Photographer Brooke Images has dazzled us with the gorgeous images she captured of the reception, including a classic white cake trimmed in pink lace! The moment we set our eyes on this positively glamorous white and gold tabletop, we fell in love!  We couldn’t stop ourselves from swooning over every single detail—from the stunning orchid centerpiece by The Garden Gate to the beaded gold plates, shimmering glassware, and monogrammed linens. Styled by DFW Events Event Planning & Design, along with Gatsby Event Branding, the tables at Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas glow with an ethereal light set off by candles in mercury glass. Feast your eyes on the gorgeous images by Perez Photography from this incredible shoot that left us saying, “Oh! So pretty!” at every turn.

This gorgeous styled shoot has it all: an absolutely stunning gown from Carine’s Bridal Atelier, Valentino d’Orsay pumps, and the simply breathtaking setting of Keswick Hall at Monticello near Charlottesville, Virginia. The rolling green hills provide a lush backdrop for bold pink and green blooms in bouquets and centerpieces created by Pat’s Floral Designs. We are head over heels for the classic Southern charm that Just a Little Ditty created in this beautiful setting, and the gorgeous images from Jen Fariello Photography!

Photographer Caroline Tran calls this Saddlerock Ranch inspiration shoot—complete with a dreamy tabletop covered in driftwood, protea and colored glass—”easily one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever shot.” It’s no wonder this Malibu, California shoot is one of our favorites of the year! Caroline teamed up with Utterly Engaged magazine and So Happi Together to craft this uber-creative shoot, which was also part of one of the photographer’s recent workshops. We’ve fallen for the eclectic, mismatched vintage seating surrounding the long farmhouse table, provided by Found Vintage Rentals, and the ruffled ombre cake by A Wish and A Whisk. Oh, and the zebras! Who could resist wedding inspiration that comes with zebras?!

Today’s styled shoot from Justin & Mary pulls inspiration from the landscape and water surrounding Elihu Island near Stonington, Connecticut. Hana Floral Design and Boutique used natural elements like wildflowers and mixed them with more classic blue and cream arrangements to create a rustic but elegant look. We love the casual brown paper mixed with sweet blue ribbon on stationery from Chocolate Creative Design! The Union Baptist Church grounds are a pastoral backdrop for the model’s gown and the bright blue bridesmaids dresses from The Wedding Embassy—and how about that fur stole! We love how these images strike the perfect balance of sophisticated style in a casual country location.

Is there a more aptly-named wedding flower than “blushing bride?” The name aside, blushing bride protea looks gorgeous when used with a variety of flowers from roses to clematis to orchids. It has a blush center with pointed petals that range from white to ivory to pale pink. Can you spot the blushing bride protea in all of these bouquets?

There is something so effortlessly elegant about Laurie and Michael’s sun-washed wedding on the grounds of the gorgeous The Villa of San Juan Capistrano. Could that be because the bride is a Newport Beach, California interior designer?! Laurie put her skills to work for her wedding, envisioning a vibrant, French-inspired affair complete with the happiest floral arrangements by Floral Occasions. From casually color-coordinated bridesmaids dresses to burlap-wrapped water bottles, we’re in love with every single detail that Troy Grover Photographers captured!

Gabrielle and Chris wanted to get married somewhere that felt enchanted and once they saw the natural beauty and elegance of Meadowood Napa Valley they knew it was the right place! Their outdoor ceremony was held in front of a marvelous birch altar adorned with hanging sweet pea and although they did not have a bridal party, their adorable puppy, Lola, acted as their ring bearer. The flowers by Cherries Flowers are the epitome of natural elegance and included garden roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, jasmine, and astilbe. I’m absolutely in love with their unique escort cards: a sparkling display of natural crystals and gemstones wrapped in copper wire and set upon a bed of moss. Each table had an explanation of the spiritual meaning of its stone, the head table being Amethyst which symbolized “pure and true emotional love.” Enjoy these incredible photos by the amazing Gia Canali!

We’ve got a beautiful city wedding for you today, just wait until you see it! Cameron and Kristopher were married at the super-chic W City Center in downtown Chicago and then the party moved to Sepia where guests dined and drank to celebrate the newlyweds. Lots of love went into this wedding, from the flowers by their friend Beth Gill, owner of The Aspen Branch in Colorado, calligraphy by the bride’s cousin, Calligraphy by Cristine, and can you believe that Cameron’s 85-year-old grandmother made her gown…without a pattern? We love when the bride and groom have talented friends who all pitch in to create a day that is unique to the couple and their loved ones. Happy Friday everyone! Today for Friday Flowers we’ve got a gorgeous shoot from Tampa’s amazing FH Weddings that was inspired by a bowl of peaches! These soft blush and peach hued arrangements included garden roses, stock, eucalyptus, and ranunculus. Along with Chic Designs & Fabulous Events, Stephanie from  FH Weddings created a pretty tablescape with vintage china, lace, and books, set against an antique hutch filled with even more beautiful florals. I love how they also included tangerines and peaches into the decor! Thanks so much to the talented team who put this all together and to Justin DeMutiis for the beautiful images!

Courtney and Rob’s big day was an event 10 years in the making. High school sweethearts, they were married in Texas’ lovely Hill Country (where they went to college) in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Pecan Grove. I’m still swooning over the absolutely incredible florals by Wow Factor who live up to their name with the unbelieveable ceremony arch literally dripping with luscious hydrangea and roses in ivory, peach, and blush. Classic with just the slightest touch of country rustic, I’m crazy about Courtney and Rob’s wedding and all the fantastic photos by Nicole Chatham!

Happy St. Patrick’s eve everyone! Today we’re celebrating with an ode to green! Beautifully neutral and natural, there are several flowers that come in various shades and textures of green: hydrangea, orchids, mums, tulips, roses, and bells of Ireland to name a few. Here are some of my favorites!

Pam and Chase’s wedding was elegant without being too fussy and woodsy without being too rustic. Fiddlehead Designs seamlessly blended classic roses and orchids with more woodsy elements like birch to create gorgeous florals for the event. I admit that I often get caught up in looking at the details of a wedding (the flowers, venue, dresses) but in these photos by VUE Photography it’s obvious to see how ecstatic Pam, Chase, and all their family and friends were on their wedding day. A glowing couple, beautiful florals, and a wonderful Appalachian Mountain venue, what’s not to love about this gorgeous North Carolina wedding?

A while ago, we shared this Modern Yellow and White Tablescape and everyone loved it so much that for today’s Friday Flowers we’ve got a tutorial for you on how to create it yourself! Designed by Dani at Studio Fleurette, this tablescape is fresh, modern, and easily modified for any style of event! Change out the type of flowers used (switch out the craspedia for roses perhaps?) and voila – a completely new look!  Here’s the down-low on creating this organic, stylish tabletop.

Brittany and Andrew’s French-inspired wedding was formal, romantic, and incredibly elegant. Since their wedding guests would not be able to join the newlyweds on their Parisian honeymoon, they wanted to bring the feel of Paris to them! Sleek black linens and taper candles were softened with blush and ivory florals by Artistry in Bloom and how cute are the little mini Eiffel Tower cookies? It was everything the bride and groom had envisioned and thanks to Heather Cherie Photography we’re able to share in the beautiful details of their day as well!

Inspired by a peacock feather, these jewel-toned tabletops designed by Beth of SQN Events are the perfect combination of elegant and modern.  Whether you’re planning a wedding or a party, jewel tones set the stage for a fabulous urban holiday soiree, and the gorgeous purple, red, and green palette is brought to life by the modern blooms from Dilly Lily.  Ribbon-wrapped menus and favor boxes with touches of swirling calligraphy add an elegant touch to the wedding tabletop while “naughty” and “nice” gift boxes add cheeky punch to the holiday tablescape.  The scrumptious sweets table and 4-tier truffle cake from Truffle Truffle is a fun and unique alternative to a traditional cake.  I’m in love with all of the colorful images from Maypole Studios!

Frances and Jared wanted their wedding to feel more like a festive dinner party than a formal reception. Unfussy garden meets shabby chic, Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona del Mar was an amazing place to host the event. It was clean and elegant and add in beautiful personal details like a stunning Ketubah and family-made chuppah and I’m always sold. I love the classic florals by LaVonne’s Florist and of course you can never go wrong with traditional engraved Crane’s wedding invitations. Ashleigh Taylor did a gorgeous job capturing the day!
