Real Weddings: Michaela + Justin

Morgan and Matt’s outdoor wedding at Bella Luna Farms was as rustic and charming as it was pretty and timeless. The lovely images from one of Michele M. Waite Photography‘s favorite weddings of this year showcase bold blooms in arrangements and bouquets, as well as Morgan’s classic column-style gown. Sweet farm animals meandered around the grounds as guests enjoyed first a ceremony—where the couple took vows beneath a traditional chuppah festooned with a floral garland—and then a reception inside a barn strung with lights. We think Chambers and Company did a fabulous job with the design of this fun and fabulous affair!

If Diana and Danny’s everyday lives are even half as chic as their Southern California wedding, they’re definitely some of the most stylish people ever! This beautiful couple was married at the Cravens Estate in Pasadena surrounded by friends and family from all over. There are many details about their wedding that I love (like Diana’s amazing shoes and accessories) but once I saw their colorful florals I was smitten! Rooted Harmony blended rich textures and colors to create bright and elegant arrangements that include peonies, roses, wax flower, astilbe, eucalyptus, and even succulents! Megan and Ben met during their first period class on their first day of high school. They were fast friends who began dating at the end of freshman year, and haven’t looked back since! The couple chose The Inn at Willow Grove for their Virginia wedding when they fell in love with the charming grounds and cozy reception barn. It was important to Megan and Ben that they and their wedding party were comfortable and relaxed on a hot July day, so Megan selected lightweight gauzy gowns from BHLDN for herself and Weddington Way for her maids. Floral crowns by Good Earth Flowers woven into each ladies’ favorite hairstyle by Bobby Pins & Blush completed the look! Many elements of the day were labors of love! Megan and a bridesmaid hand-lettered signage and table numbers, she and her mother made 6 flavors of popcorn for favors, and her sister created favor labels and a Snapchat filter released for the night using the line “Poppin’ with the Tainters”. Sara and Chris’s romantic garden wedding at Hartley Botanica simply has us swooning! For starters, Sara’s White by Vera Wang gown–in a soft and sweet shade of pink–is nothing short of amazing! And with a backdrop like that, pastel roses in more shades of pink and lavender are a must; we adore the lush bouquet by Belle of the Ball Designs that Sara carried! Whimsical floral stationery from Minted further grounded the theme of this affair, where Sara and Chris took their vows beneath a canopy of curly branches, twinkling lights, and a jaw-dropping chandelier covered in lush blooms. Don’t miss a single detail in these stunning images by Valentina Glidden Fine Art Photography–we can’t stop staring!

We love the simplicity of this affair, held at a family residence in Indiana. Meghan and Josh’s inspiration gave way to natural details such as pretty baby’s breath and pink David Austin rose bouquets by Marcia’s Flower Cart. The sweeter elements got a shot of rustic flair with barn wood tables built by Meghan’s stepdad and planted succulent favors and centerpieces. The backyard venue provided soft surroundings for the bride’s Watters gown and pale pink D’Zage bridesmaids dresses. Meghan, who is a wedding photographer, wanted to make sure the whole affair showed plenty of both her and Josh’s personalities, and we see them shining through in these images from Clary Photo!

Rachel and Ari’s Bensalem, Pennsylvania, wedding at Pen Ryn Mansion & Belle Voir Manor is a stunner, captured by the fabulous Arielle Doneson Photography! Working with Alan of Fireside Florals, the couple chose an elegant pink and ivory color scheme for their nuptials, which featured a gorgeous flower-covered chuppah. Rachel and Ari incorporated traditional Jewish customs into their ceremony—like breaking the glass!—before cutting loose at the reception. More pink, green and ivory arrangements graced guest tables, but the crown jewel of the room was the intricately decorated tiered cake set atop leaf garland on a silver stand. Rachel’s Alvina Valenta gown featured a simple bodice that gave way to a full, ruffled skirt that swirled like cotton candy on the dance floor! Sit back and fall in love with these gorgeous images!

Courtney and Kael celebrated their big day at the Weyehauser Mansion in Tacoma, Washington. It was a beautiful and romantic event with just the right amount of vintage elegance. After the couple said “I do,” guests were escorted to the mansion’s veranda for cocktails and then back again to enjoy dinner al fresco in the garden. What a perfect outdoor location, complete with views overlooking the water! We’re smitten with all these gorgeous photos by the amazing Michèle M. Waite, and all the details that made Courtney and Kael’s big day so beautiful!

Yesterday we visited the stunning Amalfi coast, and today we venture to the rolling hills of Provence, France, for Clara and Martin’s breathtaking wedding, held at Auberge La Fenière. The fabulous KT Merry Photography was on-hand to capture all the details of their big day, like Clara’s Morgane Le Fay gown—check out that swinging ruffled skirt!—and the beauty of the olive grove surroundings. The pale blooms in bouquets and table arrangements by Une Fleur m’a Dit are gorgeous, but we’re absolutely enthralled with the delicate pink boutonnieres accented by white feathers! This elegant and laid-back event is just spilling over with pretty-in-pink charm and romance!

Joanna and Erick were determined to find a serene setting in Chicago for the backdrop of their wedding, and they sure found the perfect oasis with Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. The couple brought casual elegance to this refreshing venue with vintage accents like mason jars and milk glass vases bearing pastel flower bouquets created by Fleur for their outdoor ceremony and reception. To go along with their “loose and natural” theme, the bride and groom encouraged their bridal party to embrace their unique sense of style by assigning a color scheme and allowing their friends to choose their own attire. A variety of pies replaced the traditional wedding cake, and hand-sewn teabags were given as favors to all the guests at the end of the evening. We love with the heartfelt touches incorporated into this wedding and Jaclyn Simpson did a fantastic job capturing the day!

I’m absolutely swooning over Debbie and Robert’s classic and modern wedding! There are so many details that are just so gorgeous – Debbie’s beautiful gown and shoes, flowers by the always incredible JL Designs, but I have to admit that my favorite part of their big day is the actual venue itself, Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano, California. The couple wanted their celebration outside, but at the same time, their religion is very important to them. So, what to do? Bring in antique church pews and suspend chandeliers from mid-air over the venue’s courtyard, of course! After the ceremony, the courtyard was flipped into a banquet-style outdoor reception so that everyone could celebrate under the stars. Clary Pfeiffer is behind the lens of so many of our favorite weddings, and when her photographic genius is paired with the talented Brit Stewart Weddings, magic happens! Kim and Andrew’s St. Louis wedding at World’s Fair Pavilion is just that magic, with the most lovely garden feel! Sisters Flowers incorporated the couple’s color palette of pinks, soft greens, and pale purples into the lush, romantic florals – I absolutely adore the beautiful textures in Kim’s bouquet! The black linens and chairs added even more elegance and sophistication to an already gorgeous wedding venue. Guests celebrated with the newlyweds while watching the sun set and the fabulous Clary Photo captured the whole beautiful day!

As Farrar and Mark got into their wedding planning, they realized a full-blown wedding was not their style. They opted instead for an intimate elopement with a beautiful garden party reception at Farrar’s family home to celebrate. I love the beautiful yet casual feel of their reception and the gorgeous mint and gold decor with bright pops of fuchsia, lavender, and tangerine flowers. They had live music all night starting with Ron Shuff’s Music Revue and then ending with a bluegrass band! Love this whole celebration and every single photo by Jen & Chris Creed!

Even before I read anything this adorable couple had to say about their wedding, I could tell it was a celebration created with a ton of love and care! Indeed, Amelia and Josh’s wedding took lots of teamwork to put together. The flowers, dishes, decor – almost every tiny detail can be attributed to the bride or one of her talented friends. I absolutely love all the different colorful bridesmaids dresses – so cute and fun! It’s a handmade and homemade Southern celebration (that also looks like it was an incredible party!) with photos that are just too cute for words by Dixie Pixel – the perfect way to end a spectacular 2011!

Haley and Jay were married at Haley’s family home in Trenton, SC. The sprawling lawn backs up to a pond, and their ceremony on the dock over he water was both unique and memorable. In addition to the sentimental location, this classic Southern soiree featured some of the most gorgeous florals you ever will see! Lisa Rhodes of Fleur de Lis created a stunning ceremony arbor and fantastic bouquets with fluffy peonies and garden roses in shades of pink and coral that perfectly accentuated the lace bridal gown and crisp white bridesmaids dresses from Elegant Bridals. The tented backyard reception featured jars of Haley’s father’s famous homemade barbecue sauce as favors, a boat full of beer, and some special quiet time spent by the couple on Haley’s childhood playground. This sweet South Carolina wedding is one for the books, and we’re loving the images from Common Dove Photography!

Barbara and Sam selected the modern, whitewashed interior and lush garden of Blanc to play host to their Denver nuptials. A Vintage Affair Events tied in classic elements with the venue’s industrial vibe. Everything about their intimate soiree feels relaxed and organic, from the colorful centerpieces by Park Floral Design alongside copper flatware, to the greenery photo booth installation that doubled as the couple’s ketubah signing backdrop. We are head over heels for Barbara’s chic Kate McDonald gown and braided waves, and the coordinating bridesmaids dresses in shades of blue and purple. Prepare to fall in love with the beautiful images from Michele Hart!

The spectacular Planterra Conservatory set the scene for Megan and Jack’s classic Michigan wedding. The couple selected the greenhouse for its airy and romantic feel, and the lush locale didn’t disappoint! Planterra’s team created a spectacular atmosphere of hanging wisteria, garlands and swaths of greenery, and clusters of trees and plants. The result? Breathtaking! Wanting the greenery and abundance of candlelight to shine, Megan selected accents of glittering gold tableware, blush napkins, and cashmere Alfred Angelo bridesmaids frocks. And of course, her sophisticated Justin Alexander stole the show! In lieu of dessert, guests enjoyed a cheese cake and charcuterie station from Continental, a big hit! The Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills was the perfect venue for Julie and Jonathan’s dream wedding! With the help of their wedding planner, Catherine of CCL Weddings, the couple designed a private outdoor ceremony (featuring the couple’s adorable pup, Nala) and elegant indoor reception with lush and romantic florals by Heavenly Blooms. Luxury and personality came together perfectly, with champagne escort cards that doubled as favors and a cocktail hour snack of beef jerky, the groom’s favorite! We are obsessed with every fun detail in the beautiful images from Closer to Love Photography!

Sarah and Mark’s wedding is a bit of Pacific Northwest charm with an intimate European feel. Sarah is a classical art historian who studies ancient Italy, so the decision to host their August wedding at Seattle’s charming Corson Building for her August wedding was an easy one. They wanted their wedding to feel like a large Italian family dinner party, and the Corson Building’s beautiful gardens and villa aesthetic was a perfect match. Rachel of Finch and Thistle Event Design drew the inspiration from the landscapes and gardens of Italy, with lush garden flowers in soft pastel tones and loose organic greenery. Guests feasted on locally caught, foraged, grown, and harvested products, served family style. Each moment of this gorgeous gathering is beautifully captured by Ryan Flynn.

Good morning lovelies and happy 2015! We are so excited to usher in a new year full of beautiful soirees, and couldn’t think of a better way to kick off a new year than Nga and Tinh’s lovely wedding at Los Altos History Museum. Classic garden romance was the theme of the day. The couple partnered with Oliveta Design to design a lush, sophisticated reception with bouquets and centerpieces full of greenery and roses in a rainbow of pastels from Studio Mondine. Nga is a vision in a relaxed Jenny Packham gown and Gucci heels, perfectly paired with a ribbon-tied bouquet, and her three maids wore hand-picked frocks in the palest of blush from BHLDN and J.Crew. We simply adore each and every detail—right down to the floral garland on the getaway car from Elegant Journey—in these stunning images from Clary Pfeiffer!

Romantic and vintage with a pop of color is what Kate and Anthony were looking to accomplish through their Boca Raton wedding, and these sweet images from Mi Amore Foto show us they did just that! The stunning Italian-esque venue of The Addison provided the romance the couple desired for the day, while roses in shades of cream, pink, and red and vintage-style details from Daniel Events took care of the flowers and pretty styling; Grace Eurglunes of The Addison helped finalize all the lovely details. Punchy coral and blush pink bridesmaids dresses from Nordstrom brought in the pops of color, which were perfect against the outdoor Mediterranean backdrop and also alongside Kate’s lace Jim Hjelm gown from Blue Sky Bridal. She accented her gown with a blue hairpiece and Tiffany blue Cole Haan shoes, a detail we adore! Whimsical stationery by Minted and a sparkling cake from The Addison were just two more of the gorgeous details of this day. “It was absolutely perfect,” says Kate. “From the festival lights strung across the giant banyan trees, to people getting down on the dance floor to the great music.” Most of all, Kate and Anthony agree it ended exactly as they wanted it: by being married to their best friend!
