Beautiful Atlanta Ballroom Wedding

Lauren and Brian wanted a timeless and elegant wedding — a wedding, the bride said, that resembled the 1920s as much as it did present day. They set about designing the day by employing Lee Forrest Design to create an array of bouquets and centerpieces in all-white flowers. “There’s just something so classical and elegant about all white,” Lauren said. Photographer Shipra Panosian captured the day and every detail, including a handmade escort card board, perfectly, and we are completely smitten!

Chelsea and David tied the knot at The Olde Pink House in Savannah, Georgia, an elegant restaurant inside an 18th century mansion. Chelsea looked stunning in her lace Jenny Packham gown, which she accessorized with Badgley Mischka peep-toe pumps. But we think the soft pink invitation suite by La Paperie really set the tone for the day—elegant and understated, the stationery matched the decor, including the white centerpieces in mercury glass, which the bride and her family put together themselves! Josie and Whit’s sophisticated Atlanta wedding is equal parts elegant and fun! The stunning Biltmore Ballrooms, with its lofty ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and Palladian windows, set the stage for a formal but not at all stuffy soiree. Invision Events designed a  reception with a classic feel that focused on the beauty of the location and romantic rose and hydrangea centerpieces by Tulip. Josie is a vision in a timeless Anne Barge lace gown from The White Room with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a perfect sideswept ponytail. Josie describes their wedding as “the best party I’ve ever been to” and we know guests adored dancing the night away to tunes from the Fountain City Players. The whitewashed ballroom of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia was the gorgeous backdrop for Kathy and Joseph’s Vancouver wedding! Taking a cue from the setting, the couple chose the classic color palette of pink, gold, and white, dressing the tables with elegant gold chargers, textured linens, decor from Upright Decor Rentals & Event Design, and gorgeous florals by The Flower Factory. Kathy is a vision in her princess gown by Maggie Sottero, and her maids are pretty in pink in one-shoulder Alfred Angelo gowns. Amanda and Mike’s big city Chicago wedding portrays a certain sweetness that is both charming and sophisticated! Following a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Josaphat Parish, the couple and their friends and family headed to the gorgeous Chicago History Museum for a night of great food and dancing, thanks to Blue Plate catering and tunes from Matt Lewis and The Union. Amanda says she wouldn’t change a thing about the day, and we can see why! From the lovely ice blue bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaids to her own amazing Tara Keely gown, the attire was simple and elegant. Emilia Jane Photography captured beautiful images—we especially adore the iconic photos with the backdrop of the Chicago skyline! We love the mix of baby’s breath, peach roses, and white peonies in floral designs by Revel Décor, as well as the adorable confection by Amy Beck Cake Design—there’s so much to love, catch it all in the gallery!

Tiffany and Jim’s lovely wedding in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is filled with soft details and pretty blue accents. The silk draping near the altar of St. Mary Student Parish matched the bridesmaids dresses from BHLDN and the groomsmen ties with their Jos. A. Bank suits. Forming a lighter palette were the florals by Chelsea Flower Shop, LLC, which paired nicely with the lace touches on invitations and tables at the Michigan League Ballroom reception. We love all of the classic elements Heather Jowett captured, including the timeless cake design by Decadent Delight. And, in a fun twist, Tiffany swapped her gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown for a shorter tulle dress before she and Jim left their reception to begin a new life together.

Brecklyn and Cameron’s wedding in Austin, Texas, is the epitome of elegance. With a classic color palette of white, black and gold, the couple and planner Caplan Miller Events orchestrated a beautiful ballroom fete inside the Four Seasons hotel, preceded by a simple and traditional ceremony at Central Christian Church. Breckyln’s lace gown is stunning, with a crystal and silk detail that cinches her waist. We love the white bouquets bridesmaids carried, as well as the towering candelabra arrangements inside the reception! We’re so glad Jennifer Lindberg Weddings shared this stunning wedding with us!

Simple and classic were the keywords Liz and John Mark kept in mind as they planned their elegant affair in Jackson, Mississippi. “If you knew me, you’d know that every detail of this wedding reflected my personality,” Liz says. “I love simple elegance!” Looking at these images from A Bryan Photo, we can see elegance in every single aspect of this couple’s wedding, held at First Presbyterian Church with a reception at the Country Club of Jackson. From monochromatic white bouquets carried by the bride and her bridesmaids by Fresh Cut Catering & Floral to the girls’ long, gorgeous navy dresses from The Dessy Group, we’re in love with everything Liz planned! There’s nothing better than a good outdoor Southern wedding! Lauren and Jeff held theirs at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the perfect backdrop for an effortlessly elegant ceremony. And even though the surroundings were stunning alone, Robert Long Flora Design stepped in to create lush bouquets in whites and blues that complemented the garden plantings. Lauren’s gorgeous Priscilla of Boston dress is the stuff our dreams are made of—check out the lace scallop detailing! Navy bridesmaids dresses from Ann Taylor grounded all of the lighter colors—we adore the flattering ruching at the top.  Melissa Schollaert Photography captured every last detail of this classic affair, and we’re drooling over all of the pictures—especially the one with the Frosted Pumpkin Gourmet, Inc., cake wrapped in Tiffany blue satin ribbon!

California bride Jamie says her wedding was the happiest day of her life—and it was a pretty happy day when we opened these striking images of her gorgeous event from Beaux Arts Photographie too! The Fullerton Arboretum played host to Jamie and Daniel’s outdoor ceremony, peppered with classic details like strapless blue bridesmaids’ dresses from Bella Wedding Bridal and soft white bouquets from Flower Allie that popped against the lush landscape. Guests crossed the lawn for a tented reception filled with dancing to music by the Harrison Jazz Ensemble, laughter, and plenty of baby’s breath arrangements standing guard at tables—the inspiration for the couple’s all-white decor.

I’m not sure I could envision a more beautiful lakefront wedding than Amber and Andy’s Michigan nuptials. The view was so gorgeous at their ceremony they were worried an arbor would distract from the view, so BLOOM created magnificent hydrangea-and-rose-filled urns to line the aisle. The perfect complement to such a beautiful ceremony! The elegant ballroom at The Inn at Bay Harbor was decorated with coral and peach flowers and touches of nautical details. Amber and Andy are the most gorgeous couple and we are utterly in love with these images from Amy Carroll Photography!

Laura and Josh wanted a romantic wedding that drew inspiration from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Art Nouveau, and classic English gardens.  Portland’s stunning The Governor Hotel was a perfect choice for their theme!  The couple accessorized the hotel’s ballroom by mixing high and low all-white arrangements by Germanium Lake on their gorgeous banquet style tables.  Laura made all of their beautiful stationery, including thank you cards at every place setting. She even made her own veil! But it was her glamorous ball gown from Bridal Exclusives that made us completely fall in love. Logan and Greg’s wedding was an intimate and elegant celebration at The DeVore House in Alpharetta, Georgia. I have a quite a few favorite details from their wedding, most obvious being their beautiful flowers by Birch Blooms Floral Design (me? obsessed with flowers? never) which were understated yet included tons of texture from sweet peas, dusty miller, thistle and lisianthus in lovely shades of purple and ivory. Their whole day is beautiful and classic with just the right amount of southern charm. Thanks to Lauren Wright Weddings for these beautiful photos!

Every detail of Katherine and Lorenzo’s wedding at the Powell Crosley Estate in Florida is simply divine. Katherine was inspired by the Old World feeling of the estate so she incorporated international elements into the day such as luggage tag escort cards and tables named for different places around the world. It was an elegant and romantic wedding dressed in whites and greens with accents of silver, gold, and bronze. Cassi and Matt were married at Log Cabin Church in Atlanta and had their reception in the southern style Primrose Cottage. Since the couple’s last name is King, Cassi incorporated crowns throughout the wedding, including an antique crown cake topper which is one of the most beautiful details of the day!  The slate blue and pink color palette is the perfect complement to Primrose Cottage and can you believe that the gorgeous bouquet is DIY?  Cassi used flowers from Fifty Flowers to create the bouquets and boutonnieres.  I’m completely in love with the romantic and elegant images from Spindle Photography!

Meghan and Mike’s classic Pennsylvania wedding is a breath of fresh air.  Gorgeous without being overdone, elegant without being stuffy – it’s simply a beautiful celebration!  The portraits by Morrissey Photo capture the easy, sweet love that the couple shares, and Meghan is a positively radiant bride in her Paloma Blanca gown.  Fluffy, garden-style bouquets and centerpieces of hydrangea, snapdragons and roses created by Amaranth Florist are a perfect complement to the elegant ballroom in the Overbrook Golf Club.  Thanks Meghan for sharing the details of your day with us!

Lindsey and Tyler’s Atlanta wedding is so elegant and traditionally Southern!  Everything from the navy blue and pink color palette to the gorgeous location of the Atlanta Botanical Garden is pure, classic, beauty. Melissa Schollaert captured all of the lovely images, Lindsey Pitt of TOAST Events planned and executed the day flawlessly, and Amy Osaba worked her usual magic with the flowers – which included centerpieces of blueberries!

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

For their Massachusetts wedding day, Alex and Chris wanted nothing but everyone to have a splendid time, good food, good drinks, and good memories being passed around. All captured through the lens of The Light and Color Wedding Photography, the Ipswich couple chose to have a traditional wedding day. Alex chose a classic A-line Hayley Paige beauty and the cherry on top of her trousseau was her mom’s veil that she donned for her day. Their ceremony was held at St. John’s Prep (fun fact: Alex is a dentist and St. John’s Prep was the same school where Alex’s boss and Chris’s dad went. The guys are still good friends!), Chris’s high school alma mater. For their wedding reception, they dressed up The Hellenic Center in shades of soft blues and pinks, and organic-style blooms designed by Chris’s sister-in-law, Teresa. Weddings like these that are centered around family and steeped in tradition always leave such a feel-good warmth to our day.

If you could imagine what a down home southern wedding would look like with a healthy serving of sophistication, we think it’s Shannon and Christian’s wedding, hands down. Our hats are off to Molliner Photography for capturing the sumptuous images we get to share with all of you. This Jekyll Island fête is one for the Pinterest boards (and don’t be afraid to add all of the images!). It’s draped in neutrals galore; set against the couple’s picture-perfect venue, Crane Cottage; and the blooms by Straton Hall Events are stellar. We can just imagine dancing the night away under the mesh of the palmetto and oak trees. It’s giving us all the heart eyes, y’all!
