Elegant Courtyard Wedding

The Ringling Museum is Sarasota’s most spectacular setting, so when Kim and Christian conveyed their vision to NK Productions Wedding Planning, they chose to accentuate the courtyard with lush greenery, white blooms, and pops of burgundy blooms. Victoria Blooms mixed anemones, garden roses, and delphinium to create a romantic, organic feel underneath trees festooned with chandeliers. The scrumptious cake from The Cake Zone was half key lime and half mango—true Florida flavors!—and featured a blue ombre design to add a pop of whimsy and color to the warm and neutral reception. We wish we were basking in the Florida sun and are spellbound by the gorgeous images by Justin DeMutiis Photography!

Renata and Nathan’s adoration for each other is so obvious, it’s almost palpable in these photos by Simply Bloom Photography. Dreamy, romantic, and just a touch Bohemian, every detail of their wedding was sigh-worthy from the breathtaking blooms by The Naked Florist to Renata’s gorgeous Watters gown. Not only that, but your heart is sure to flutter when you see the unbelievable, spanish moss-covered setting of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, where they celebrated their big day!

Elia and Enrique’s Sarasota wedding at Marie Selby Gardens was nothing short of a classic and elegant affair. With the beautiful serene waterfront setting and the gorgeous setting underneath the banyan trees, the setting was the perfect choice for the couple’s vision of organic elegance. Oh Darling accented the natural beauty of the locale with greenery, a sea of candles, and pops of white blooms. Bridesmaids donned glimmering Adrianna Papell frocks, while Elia selected a stunning Carolina Herrera gown. This classic couple and their romantic Florida wedding was beautifully captured by Ailyn La Torre Photography!

Danielle and Patrick have friends and family all over the country, so they decided to marry in one of their favorite places, Sarasota, Florida, and make it a full weekend celebration for their guests! Sarasota and its beaches have a long history in Danielle’s family and she grew up visiting the Ringling Museum, so it was a dream setting for their celebration! NK Productions took the couple’s vision of a clean, romantic aesthetic with a pastel color palette of blues, pinks, and whites and brought it to life with chic modern touches. Botanica designed a stunning chuppah for their blended ceremony (Danielle is Jewish, Patrick Presbyterian), and worked with the NK Productions team to style a sophisticated reception with modern touches such as acrylics and a sea of candles for the reception. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, and the best laid plans of a courtyard reception were quickly switched for plan B, a ceremony and reception setup on the dramatic loges overlooking the museum. This made for an intimate event that Danielle says “ultimately made for an even more memorable experience!” This elegant and timeless event is one for the books, beautifully captured by Hunter Ryan Photo!

Sarasota’s Ringling Museum is an absolutely spectacular setting. Elizabeth and Robert selected the stately courtyard for their ceremony and reception, and the gorgeous sculptures only added to the elegant blush and cream decor designed by NK Productions Wedding Planning and Elegant Designs Floral Art Studio. The Ringling holds a special place in the couple’s hearts, as it was one of the first places in Sarasota Elizabeth visited before her parents moved to Florida, and during Robert’s romantic proposal on an early morning jet ski ride, they first passed by the Ca’ d’Zan before he proposed during a walk on a private sandbar. To create their wedding style, Elizabeth first selected a mix of bridesmaids dresses in shades of blue, and mixed metallics and blush to create a unique combination of vintage and glamorous. Her gown, a beaded Alon Livne White creation, was the third she tried on, and a perfect balance of classic and vintage. Each detail from the metallic brushing on the cake by The Cake Zone to the abundance of twinkling lights from Affairs In The Air is completely magical and captured beautifully by Tiffani Jones!

We just love the fun Old Florida-meets-glitz vibe of Emily and Kyle’s wedding. The gorgeous Bay Preserve at Osprey in Sarasota hosted the fabulous affair, where bright flowers by Elegant Designs Floral Art Studio were a bold contrast to black and white stripes and gold accents. Bridesmaids in black dresses from J.Crew continued the color scheme, while Emily’s Lazaro gown and veil were fairy tale perfect! We’re smitten with the elegant stationery with black and white details from Write-On Sarasota, which coordinated with the palette of the day, too. NK Productions ensured all the details came together for the look Emily and Kyle envisioned, right down to the light bulb place cards that reflected Kyle’s pro lighting business. Even the golden sunset and the gold-dusted cake from The Short Giraffe complemented the decor. All of these images from Justin Demutiis Photography are simply fabulous!

Vicky and Rob’s wedding photos from BinaryFlips Photography look straight out of a Hollywood movie. From the outdoor setting at Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota, Florida, to Vicky’s amazing one-shoulder gown and the gorgeous convertible getaway car from Vintage Motors of Sarasota, Inc., everything is so glamorous, thanks to Maria Brady of Choreographed Events! We love the calla lily bouquets from Tiger Lily Flowers, and the yellow roses tied to each ceremony chair are lovely. Inside the estate, elegant cream and gold decor sparkles at the reception, while a stunning confection from Cakes by Ron pulls in spring color with peach and yellow flowers. We love this fresh take on modern romance!

Elegant, romantic, and colorful perfectly describes Tara and Georg’s wedding at Sarasota’s sophisticated Field Club. The couple lived in Italy for a time, and added some subtle Tuscan vibes to their Florida soiree. Working with Nicole of NK Productions (which Tara describes as “the best decision we ever made”), Tara and Georg created a romantic setting with stunning florals by Victoria Blooms that featured large coral peonies, olive leaf, and blush garden roses. Our favorite detail? The entrance fountain overflowing with lush florals! Petite bottles of olive oil served as place cards and favors, atop french blue linens and set next to table numbers hand-drawn by Tara’s maid of honor, labeled as their favorite Italian cities. Every small detail is flawless and beautifully captured by Tiffani Jones!

Jessica and Todd did not leave out a single detail for their Florida wedding. Simple yet truly elegant (hello Mr. Louboutin and Ms. Vera!), both their ceremony and reception were at The Field Club in Sarasota. Bridesmaids wore long navy chiffon gowns and carried pretty white bouquets while the guys dressed in grey suits with hints of navy. The reception was clean and classy with navy linens and pretty white florals by Perfect Settings. The weather was a bit threatening, but luckily, the only two downpours occurred just before and after the ceremony, sparing everyone from getting drenched and allowing Liga Photography to get some fantastic photos in the rich post-rain sunset. We hope you love this beautiful and classic wedding as much as we do!

Carrie and Joe, who were high school sweethearts, were married at Sarasota’s gorgeous Field Club Estate on a stunning Florida winter day. Selecting a classic color palette of blush and ivory, the couple worked with NK Productions Wedding Planning to bring their vision of a chic and stylish wedding that highlighted the natural beauty of the venue to life. Victoria Blooms accentuated the Field Club’s ballroom with a lovely mix of low and high arrangements, each centerpiece capped off with a gilded framed table number. Carrie glowing in a Lela Rose ballgown, while Joe donned a crisp white jacket from Alton Lane. Every image from Hunter Ryan Photo is absolutely perfect!

There may be no more spectacular venue than Sarasota’s colorful Ca’ d’Zan. With its stained glass windows, intricate pillars and details, and stunning facade, the Ringling Mansion (so known as it is the home of the circus founder and his wife) is a glorious backdrop for a wedding! Kara and Cory’s soiree made full use of the setting, their modern pink and silver palette a beautiful contrast to the colors of the venue. Nicole from NK Productions worked with the couple to bring their day to life, and flowers from Elegant Designs Floral Art Studio dressed the modern tables. We absolutely adore each and every image from Hunter Ryan Photography!

We are smitten with Karen and Michael’s classic wine country wedding! With the help of Covenant Coordinating, their vision of an intimate gathering at Mayacama fell into place. A seasonal color palette of burgundy, eggplant, taupe, and olive echoed the gorgeous surroundings, and lovely florals by Maria Philbin Floral Design dressed gorgeous tabletops set amongst the votive-lit trees. Karen is radiant in her Amy Kuschel gown and Kate Spade heels, which are perfectly complemented by her ladies’ J. Crew dresses. We love each and every image from Julie Mikos | Photographer!

It’s easy to see why Mary and Nick’s wedding is one of the photographer’s favorites of the year! The neoclassical architecture of the New Orleans Museum of Art—site of the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception—paved the pathway for the sophisticated touches planned by Michele and Brittany Adams of Unique Weddings in New Orleans. Mostly white and green arrangements and bouquets by Perfect Presentations Florals and Event Design, were pretty without overshadowing the surroundings, and Mary’s Vera Wang simply takes our breath away! Haydel’s Bakery did the subtle cake topped with hydrangeas, while Mary and Nick surprised guests at the end of the night with a visit from the Roman Candy Man. There are so many gorgeous images from Tanja Lippert Photography that we had a hard time choosing what to show you. It looks like a fabulous time was had by all!

Ana and Andre’s Miami wedding just may be the zenith of all elegant, sophisticated South Beach bashes—it also happens to be one of the photographer’s favorite affairs of 2012. Held at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, the Jewish ceremony featured traditions such as a chuppah—festooned with lush peach, green, and cream blooms by Parrish Designs—breaking the glass, and the hora. Bridesmaids shimmered by candlelight in deep metallic gray dresses from Amsale, while Ana’s Rivini gown was accented by an ethereal mantilla veil. Some of our absolute favorite details are the couple’s vintage getaway car, and the traditional English fruitcake made by Ana’s family. Kathleen and Patrick brought the feeling of a French Chateau to the mountains of North Carolina in their wedding at the Biltmore Forest Country Club. Incorporating their French and Irish heritages, the four-leaf clover and a fleur-de-lis were blended into a unique logo that was used as a label for the elegant wine bottle candelabras which sat in the center of each table. I absolutely love Kathleen’s custom lace and silk dupioni gown by New York Bride and Groom. A huge thank you to Jere and Ashley Dotten for these gorgeous photos!

A sea of candles, deep red roses, and deep Spanish wood… Amorina and Matt’s wedding is all about romance and rustic elegance.  Their champagne and red color palette is a perfect complement to the rolling green hills of Southern California’s Shady Canyon Golf Club, and the gorgeous rose topiary centerpieces and greenery garlands created by French Buckets echo the venue’s natural beauty.  These two could not be more in love, and their complete and utter joy is reflected in these beautiful images from Paul Von Rieter!

Every detail of Katherine and Lorenzo’s wedding at the Powell Crosley Estate in Florida is simply divine. Katherine was inspired by the Old World feeling of the estate so she incorporated international elements into the day such as luggage tag escort cards and tables named for different places around the world. It was an elegant and romantic wedding dressed in whites and greens with accents of silver, gold, and bronze. Monique and Josh’s Scottsdale wedding was filled to the brim with soft, romantic, and elegant details. I can’t get over the breathtaking scenery, old-world charm, and incredible oversized doors of their venue, Montelucia. Monique’s Lazaro gown is swoon-worthy and the beautiful florals by Camelback Flower Shop are the perfect mix of elegance and romance in beautiful pinks and whites. Such beautiful photographs by Keith Pitts to get rid of those Daylight-Savings-Monday blues!

Angie and Tim’s wedding is the epitome of elegant, southern chic.  The couple worked with Events by Nouveau Flowers to design an intimate and relaxing celebration at Florida’s Carillon Beach using natural elements that echoed one of their favorite travel destinations, Italy.  Centerpieces of herbs, berries and olive branches in weathered oversized pottery and apothecary jars set atop classic wood estate tables, and linen napkins hand-embroidered by Angie’s grandmother graced each place setting.  I am simply in love with all of the thoughtful and personal details and the gorgeous images by Rae Leytham Photography.

Katie and Yuval had a classically elegant yet relaxed wedding at Meadowood Napa Valley. While all the details were beautiful, it was REALLY hard to refrain from creating a post entirely filled with photos of their flowers! I love the color palette and adore the variety of flowers that Friday Flowers used. No wedding goes off without a hitch but Katie and Yuval had a big one 3 weeks before their wedding: their photographer double-booked and had to cancel! Luckily, Emily Takes Photos came to the rescue and gave us these beautiful photos!
