Elegant + Tropical Palm Beach Wedding

If Wes and Jamie’s gorgeous engagement session wasn’t enough, their stunning wedding at Bali’s Amanusa is sure to leave you breathless! Their exotic, elegant affair was perfectly designed by the fabulous Beth Helmstetter Events and featured whimsical watercolor invitations by Quill & Fox and stunning tropical florals created by Gloriosa Flower House. Jamie was positively radiant in her Carolina Herrera gown and Vera Wang veil, always a classic and beautiful choice. Steve Steinhardt captured all the beauty of their beachside nuptials—get ready to swoon over what may be one of the most gorgeous weddings we have ever set our eyes on!

Hillary and Michael’s Florida wedding is an absolute breath of fresh air. Boca Bay Pass Club and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church provided unbelievable backdrops for their stunning pink and ivory wedding. Romantic and ruffled peonies were the focus of beautiful bouquets by Designs By Jody and I’m still swooning over their beautiful tented wedding reception right on the beach. There are so many gorgeous photos by Melissa Schollaert Photography from Hillary and Michael’s big day that it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just a few, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy these just as much as I did!

When you fall in love with your wedding venue, you just know, no matter what your plans originally were. Amanda and Vlad planned for a Colorado wedding, but they never knew what hit them as they stepped foot onto Bella Collina’s stunning grounds in Florida. Reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside, it was love at first sight for the duo and it just jived so well with their romantic wedding vision that we get to fawn over thanks to Kristen Weaver Photography‘s epic photos. The white florals and greenery by Lee James Floral looked resplendent against the venue’s landscape, but no matter how glorious the blooms looked, it just couldn’t compare to Amanda and Vlad looking like a million bucks. They stole the show, for sure!

We are are simply in love with this stunning Italian wedding from Cinzia Bruschini! As if the country alone isn’t romantic enough, the beautiful setting of Fattoria Casamora combined with lush and lovely florals from Jardin Divers takes this gorgeous affair over the top. We can’t get enough of the flower hair wreaths adorning bridesmaids in bold, colorful dresses. The bride’s Celestina Agostino gown is a vision of vintage-style lace and elegance. Dripping candles and olive branches add local Tuscan flavor at the outdoor reception. We’re swooning over each and every one of these jaw-dropping images!

It’s our favorite time of the year, and we don’t just mean the holidays. It’s time for our annual favorites series! During these next two weeks, we’ll be sharing some of the most swoon-worthy wedding inspiration of the year! Kicking things off is one of our most-loved weddings of 2013, Britt and Sam’s Islamorada, Florida soiree from the exquisite KT Merry Photography. There’s not a single thing about this wedding, designed by Parrish Designs and Caidal Events, that we don’t adore. Britt is positively ethereal in a custom Trash Couture gown, and the Amoursans Anguish bridesmaids dresses have us swooning. But of course we know the couple’s favorite wedding memory will be having their adorable chihuahuas as ring bearers! This wedding is overflowing with inspiration—visit the gallery to see it all!

Oh, how we adore the soft colors and romantic vibe of Mirna and Robin’s Bay Area wedding at Mission Santa Clara de Asis! These images from Caroline Tran are as ethereal as Mirna’s classic Monique Lhuillier gown—and we love the fresh flowers tucked into her sleek updo! Pink and white ruled the day, from flowers by Nicole Ha Designs to the blush-colored cake by Rosewood Sand Hill, also the site of the fabulous reception. Mirna’s bridesmaids wore long light taupe dresses by Saja Wedding to complement the surrounding pale pinks, a color combo that’s classic and fresh. Each carefully executed detail was overseen by Amazae Special Events. This fabulous fete is absolutely stunning!

Marie and Tim’s wedding at The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida, combines the beauty of the beach with the understated elegance only a venue like the The Ritz-Carlton can provide! Dressed in a sweetheart gown with crystal brooch detail, Marie married Tim with views of the ocean as their ceremony backdrop — that, and a gorgeous floral arbor popping with pink and white blooms! We adore the cowl-neck mauve dresses that bridesmaids donned, as well as the round rose and ranunculus bouquets they carried. Photographer Brooke Images has dazzled us with the gorgeous images she captured of the reception, including a classic white cake trimmed in pink lace! It doesn’t get any more classic New England pretty than Sara and Michael’s Nantucket wedding. Start out with a stunning bride in a Monique Lhuillier gown and shoes by Manolo Blahnik, add in gorgeous hydrangea and soft sweet peas in a refreshing pink and soft green color palette beautifully arranged by Soiree Floral, and top it off with a golf club wedding reception right on the water, and what you’ve got is pure Northern elegance. The images from Isaac Alongi Studios have me counting the days until I can get in the car and drive up north!

Tracy and Mike’s Kauai wedding is absolute perfection! Dressed in a gorgeous Vera Wang gown and carrying a ruffly white bouquet filled with peonies by Martin Roberts Design, Tracy married Mike under floral garlands on a picture-perfect beach at The St. Regis Resort in Princeville, Kauai. Their all-white reception was classy and elegant with mercury votives sparkling under a variety of fresh white blooms, the most impressive of which being the tall, cascading orchid centerpieces. These gorgeous photos by Jen Huang capture this incredible destination wedding – one of our favorites of the year – and all the elegant details of the day!

Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.

Tina grew up in Hong Kong and Australia, with half of her family in Scotland, and Zac is from Australia. Their close family and friends live all over the world, so what better way to celebrate their union than with a destination wedding in Barcelona, where they were living when Zac proposed? Their vision of an intimate, personal wedding came to life when they found Casa Felix, a Spanish villa in Barcelona’s wine region, with a relaxed, peaceful ambiance. The couple worked with A Spanish Do to create a poolside reception highlighting the stunning locale. They selected a pastel color palette with pops of berry tones and an abundance of greenery, and Paradiso Barcelona designed rich, organic florals to complement the natural beauty of the villa. Christine and Jeff were married on a picture-perfect Charleston day at the sprawling Lowndes Grove Plantation. Having met at Furman University, the couple knew they wanted to be married in South Carolina, and held their wedding on Christine’s parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, August 5th. Though August is traditionally muggy and hot, a light summer rain left a breezy afternoon and beautiful sunset. A Charleston Bride worked with Christine and Jeff to create an elegant, unfussy, atmosphere with a timeless color palette of white, gold, blush, and touches of ivy. Palmetto Bloom designed arrangements in a mix of heights, making for a spectacular atmosphere in the tent, draped in swaths of white fabric with glimmering hanging chandeliers. The result is breathtaking! Adding a touch of color, bridesmaids donned floaty Amsale dresses, which beautifully complemented Christine’s Vera Wang gown and Jeff’s crisp white tuxedo jacket by Ralph Lauren. Absolutely smitten with each and every moment captured by Virgil Bunao!

Min and Roy’s Hong Kong wedding is a perfect blend of classic elegance and romance. After a ceremony at the Béthanie Chapel—a beautiful and serene historic building set on a hill overlooking the coastline of Southern Hong Kong—guests traveled to Central’s gorgeous Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong for a stunning reception planned by White Bridal Salon and designed by Ellermann Flower Boutique & Event Atelier. Tables were bedecked in an abundance of flowers and candles, with a mix of garden roses, ranunculus, lilac, and astilbe in shades of ivory and white with accents of eucalyptus and dusty miller. Antique silver and crystal vessels complete the simple but elegant look. Min is utterly resplendent in a lace Monique Lhuillier gown, and the love between these two is palpable in the gorgeous images from Jada Poon Photography!

James and Inga selected the breathtaking Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez for their timeless and romantic wedding. The couple brought their vision of a wedding full of warmth and family to life, scouting out antique markets for decor, collecting candles, votives and hurricanes to accent the beautiful venue, and lovingly restoring items such as the lovely gold frame housing their seating chart. A blush and peach color palette complemented the venue’s natural elegance and custom calligraphy signage from Angelique Ink and Carolyn Jane added a whimsical touch to the festivities. Inga and James worked with Joy Proctor and Camellia Floral Designs to design the outdoor ceremony set beneath a stately oak tree and dinner reception in the front of the house. Lush, organic florals dressed tables from The Tent Merchant, and a ruffly cake from Decadence Fine Cakes & Confections was the perfect sweet ending! Despite having to move their Saturday Seaside nuptials to a Friday due to a threatening tropical storm–and pulled off with little stress, says the bride, thanks to Shelby Peaden Events–Blaire and Bill’s wedding day couldn’t have been more picture perfect! These breathtaking images from Dear Wesleyann have us swooning over every detail, from sky blue bridesmaids dress by LulaKate to the lacy and elegant Nicole Miller gown Blaire chose. Magnolia leaf wreaths embellish the pews at the chic Seaside Chapel, where the bright light mixed with the cool colors creates a sophisticated at-the-beach vibe. At the reception held on the Central Park lawn at Alys Beach, seagrass textures and white florals, blue candles, and a subtle ocean theme are stunning thanks to Events by Nouveau. We’re loving the gold accents, too, from Chiavari chairs and linens to the calligraphy invitation suite from Paper Affair to Blaire’s metallic Jimmy Choo heels!

Brooke and Russell’s lovely Nashville wedding is an elegant affair filled with classic touches that we adore! Brooke is flawless in a Monique Lhuillier gown from The Bride Room–we are swooning over the top lace piece that’s romantic and delicate, a perfect complement to Brooke’s filmy Toni Federici veil. Bridesmaids chose varying designs of a light taupe dress by Amsale, which are soft and pretty mixed in with garden details like the lush bouquets, hydrangea and magnolia wreaths, and floral hair wreaths from Branches. After a traditional ceremony at St. George’s Episcopal Church, the party continued at the vintage-style Union Station Hotel, where a lush floral garland ran the length of Brooke and Russell’s table. “The flowers were stunning! My favorite thing at the reception was the flower runner on the head table,” says Brooke. Sequin linens from La Tavola Fine Linen Rental and classic pieces like engraved silver vases and cafe string lights dotted the reception room, where the couple’s Dessert Designs cake was topped with more fresh flowers. One of our favorite details is the monogrammed logo by Allison R. Banks Designs on the couple’s stationery from Rock Paper Scissors. We adore every single detail captured by the fabulous Kristyn Hogan!

We love the pretty pastels woven throughout Su and Ray’s outdoor wedding at Promontory Point in Chicago’s Burnham Park. Lush bouquets of pink and cream ranunculus and peonies mixed with dusty miller by Vale of Enna are the perfect complement to romantic coral bridesmaids dresses by Jarlo. Su’s Vera Wang gown is hands-down one of our favorites ever, with a big structured bow taking the focal point of the gown’s front. To celebrate their heritage, Su and Ray incorporated a tea ceremony into the celebrations, and the red dress Su wore to cut the cake from Bridgeport Bakery is simply stunning! We are swooning over these beautiful images from Kina Wicks!

Oh, we do love a playful theme around here, and Valerie and Michael’s wedding doesn’t disappoint! We love these happy images from Alders Photography, especially the ones centered around the Ferris wheel and oversize balloons! We also adore the drama of strands of lights hanging from the trees during the couple’s outdoor ceremony at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. Mulberry Row weaved together arrangements of pink and green flowers dotted with succulents for a slightly rustic feel, and bridesmaids wore sweet pink dresses by Bill Levkoff that complemented the florals. Valerie stunned in a St. Patrick gown from Karoza Bridal. Continuing the carnival theme at the reception, the couple opted for fun touches like popcorn and a cotton candy cart from Dolly’s Sweet Dreams Cotton Candy, along with a simple cake from Nikol Nakamura. And we can’t leave out a nod to Mindy Roderick Weddings & Events, who pulled together this flawless affair—see it all in the gallery!
