Even though Heather and John planned an early November wedding in Minneapolis, they didn’t want the traditional orange, brown and red color scheme for their big day. Luckily, they found two venues that didn’t need much in the way of décor–Hennepin Avenue Methodist Church for the ceremony and James J. Hill Reference Library for the reception. From there Laura Mullen Event Design helped the couple plan a sophisticated event that featured lots of muted gray, mercury glass, and candles amid unique florals from A Day in Provence that pulled in magnolia leaves, pheasant feathers, and white hydrangeas. The skirt of Heather’s Reem Acra gown reminds us of spun sugar, but the real treat was a sweet dessert table anchored by a gray-and-white cake from Cocoa & Fig. Laura Ivanova Photography was the perfect choice, too–these images are breathtaking!
