Elegant + Classic Garden Wedding

Sonoma Valley weddings are one of the few guarantees in life: always breathtaking! Kristy and Charles chose B.R. Cohn Winery & Olive Oil Company in Glen Ellen for their festivities, and they got a picture-perfect day, which shows clearly in the images from photographer Julie Mikos. The short, salmon-colored lace bridesmaids dresses—custom made by Eileen West—are sweet and romantic paired with small bouquets of dahlias, parrot tulips and small succulents from PoppyStone Floral Couture. Olive topiaries placed at the ceremony site and on reception tables gave a nod to the vineyard locale. Kristy’s simple but fabulous Romona Keveza Collection gown complemented the surroundings as well, a timeless but statement-making strapless dress topped with a Swarovski Crystal necklace that’s fit for Cinderella! Meritage Catering took care of all the delicious details, including a small cake topped with the most adorable bride, groom and dog we’ve ever seen—the perfect ending to a fairy tale day!

Wow—we are just smitten with the gorgeous details of Daniele and Aydin’s cross-cultural wedding in Austin, Texas! These beautiful images from Caroline + Ben show a lovely, laid-back day filled with bright smiles and sophistication. Daniele and Aydin’s Catholic wedding mass at Central Christian Church was followed by a Persian ceremony celebrating Aydin’s heritage, held at the Green Pastures Reception. The first part of the day included soft taupes in bridesmaids dresses by Alfred Sung and cream and pink peony and orchid bouquets by Unexpected Elements. The scene at the backyard-style reception included bolder touches, like gold and jewel tone sequin linens and bright flowers, where the team from Brock + Co. Events kept the evening running smoothly. Throughout it all, Daniele dazzled in a strapless Enzoani gown from Blush Bridal Lounge. This is one fun party—see it all in the gallery!

We are just in love with all the soft elements of Suzanne and Esteban’s glorious Vero Beach wedding, especially the soft pink, purple, and gold details! Held at the Windsor, Suzanne and Esteban vintage style with silver, lace, and soft classic florals by Pink Pelican. A single bridesmaid wore a one-shoulder gray dress, which made an elegant contrast with the lighter hues of the day. Palm trees and flickering candlelight framed the tables at the outdoor patio reception, and we adore the rhinestone brooch that festoons the classic wedding cake, which reminds us of the rhinestone flower hairpiece Suzanne wore. The most stunning vision of the day, of course, was a beaming bride swathed in strapless Monique Lhuillier gown that wowed guests and, most especially, groom Esteban! When we find ourselves daydreaming about the perfect farm wedding, it looks a lot like Marie and Matt’s Charlottesville, Virginia, affair! For starters, the gorgeous pastoral setting of Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards—oh my! Marie and Matt’s ceremony on a hilltop framed by rolling hills and grapevines is just stunning. We love that Marie took a soft approach to flowers, allowing Southern Blooms by Pat’s Floral Design to create white peony bouquets for bridesmaids and a white, peach rose, and dusty miller bouquet for her. Striking black lace bridesmaids dresses by Watters are a nod to Marie and Matt’s crisp black and white stationery from Added Touches by Terry. Marie is breathtaking in a strapless Watters gown with an intricate lace jacket. The luxury barn reception is filled with amazing details that are laid-back but still chic, especially the traditional cake garnished with cherry blossoms by Victoria’s Cakery. We love the simplicity of this affair, held at a family residence in Indiana. Meghan and Josh’s inspiration gave way to natural details such as pretty baby’s breath and pink David Austin rose bouquets by Marcia’s Flower Cart. The sweeter elements got a shot of rustic flair with barn wood tables built by Meghan’s stepdad and planted succulent favors and centerpieces. The backyard venue provided soft surroundings for the bride’s Watters gown and pale pink D’Zage bridesmaids dresses. Meghan, who is a wedding photographer, wanted to make sure the whole affair showed plenty of both her and Josh’s personalities, and we see them shining through in these images from Clary Photo!

Michelle and Derek’s Cincinnati wedding is utterly chic and classic. The Taft Museum of Art was the backdrop for all of the beautiful details—from the white and ivory bouquets by Robin Wood Flowers to Michelle’s timeless Modern Trousseau gown and an ivory cake with grass green detailing from The BonBonerie. We are absolutely smitten with these stunning images from the always-fabulous Arielle Doneson Photography!

Gray and yellow are a hot trend in modern color palettes, and the combo was perfect for Elena and Andrew’s contemporary affair at Chicago’s Galleria Marchetti. The mix of sunny and stormy carried over into ceremony programs that doubled as fans for guests, as well as their elegant gray, yellow and white bouquets and arrangements by Stems. Elena’s Melissa Sweet gown—with unique dimensional flowers gracing the bodice and skirt—stood out just enough from Andrew’s gray Banana Republic suit and the J. Crew bridesmaids dresses in the same hue. Inside a draped tent dotted with yellow and white Chinese hanging lanterns, guests toasted with a signature drink—a Moscow Mule—and danced to the couple’s DIY playlist as Laura Ivanova Photography captured the entire celebration into the night.

Kristen and Andrew wed beneath a beautiful oak tree on the Barr Mansion’s pristine property in Austin, Texas. “The venue was so naturally beautiful we kept the decor fairly simple using mostly candles and shades of coral and pink flowers,” the bride said. We adore the floral arrangements by Stems Floral Design, which were a mix of peonies, white orchids, mint succulents and pops of magenta accents set atop clear vessels. Taylor Lord Photography captured all the details to perfection, including their adorable cake display!

Pretty flowers, pale pink dresses, and an elegant outdoor venue… Laura and Steve’s Nashville wedding is garden party perfection! The details of their wedding truly couldn’t be prettier. They chose a palette of pale pink and mint green and selected hydrangea, peonies, and roses in arrangements by Enchanted Florist to decorate the outdoor gazebo at CJ’s off the Square. I love the paper flower escort cards and the gorgeous chandeliers but I can’t stop drooling over her amazing Louboutins! What a marvelous day with marvelous photos by Kristyn Hogan!

A typical ballroom wedding just wouldn’t do for Erin and Wes—they something a bit more personal and unique. The couple decided Belle Meade, a plantation home and horse farm in Nashville, was the perfect place to host their wedding. In keeping with their surroundings, the couple made escort cards from horseshoes and  horseshoe charms hung from the white and pink bouquets and boutonnieres. Brocade Designs created beautiful centerpieces of roses and dusty miller in mercury glass containers. We love the pop of pink napkins on the gray tablecloths and the chic bridesmaids dresses by Monique Lhullier!

Belinda and Jim’s wedding is not only about as sophisticated and elegant as it gets, but it’s got an utterly fantastic pop of bold color throughout too! Bridesmaids in bright pink BCBG dresses, vibrant pink and red florals dripping with crystals by City of Commerce Flower, and glittering pink favors at each place setting, all set against their stunning venue Athenaeum at Caltech. The venue by itself is amazing, but then add in all these incredible details? I’m 100% smitten. Oh and add in the perfection that is Belinda’s Valentino heels? Make that 110%. Bravo to the whole team responsible for this gorgeous wedding and to Marvin Tsai for the beautiful photos!

Sarah and Ethan’s wedding was personal, intimate, and infused with Southern charm. They incorporated family photos and mementos throughout the day, placing photos of themselves as kids on each of the tables, a large screen with family wedding photos at the reception, and (my favorite) Sarah pinned a brooch worn by Sarah’s great-great-grandmother and grandmother on their wedding days to her bouquet. I absolutely love the soft pink, peach and ivory color palette of the flowers by Jan Parker! Each and every one of these photos by Yellow House Photography is more beautiful than the next!

I’m in love with Colette and Luke’s gorgeous rustic and romantic Austin wedding. Classic black bridesmaids dresses and sleek, modern tuxes plus gorgeous florals by Petal Pushers? Adore!  The couple incorporated natural, rustic elements into their wedding without compromising the elegance of the event. My favorite detail is the aspen logs that Colette’s dad hollowed out to be used as vessels for the flowers and programs. You’re going to absolutely swoon over these gorgeous photos by La Dolce Vita Photography!

Lily and Bobby were married at the gorgeous Santaluz Club in San Diego. The venue provided lots of inspiration for them and their wedding planner, Thomas Bui, created a beautiful and romantic event with just a pinch of rustic thrown in. Any event that incorporates big fluffy peonies and succulents is for sure to be something I love and the florals by Adorations Botanical Artistry certainly did not disappoint. These photos by Vallentyne Photography are gorgeous and yet again make me long for my own California wedding!

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

Ask Josy about the day of her wedding to Bryan and she’ll say it was “in one word, perfect.” The couple selected Miami’s Coral Gables Country Club for their romantic and intimate celebration, and the day was filled with love and laughter, along with many personal touches. In addition to lovingly creating the petal toss cones, menus, and rolled shawl favors, Josy and Bryan penned letters to each guest, delivered at the reception, a lovely and memorable gesture that we’re sure no one will soon forget. Josy adores flowers, and worked with Avant Gardens to create elegant blush and white arrangements for the reception, set atop glimmering mirrored tables, and a showstopping flower wall that served as both a ceremony altar and sweetheart table backdrop. The result was breathtaking! From the rose petals down the aisle to the sea of candles in the reception, every moment is romantic and timeless, and beautifully captured by Elaine Palladino!

When the bride is from Texas and the groom is from Australia, you can’t find a more beautiful middle ground on which to hold your nuptials than Hawaii, and that’s why Elysia and Bryce chose Haiku Mill for their destination wedding. With the lush island landscape all around, Elysia chose understated colors to ground the decor, such pink and cream florals from Dellables and a vintage vibe with decor such as hanging chandeliers and glass and silver accents. Bridesmaids wore gray gowns that softly accented Elysia’s column-style gown, a classic look that’s unexpected but gorgeous. Vintage lace accents on her veil are stunning, and we love the bold look of her bright blue shoes paired with the traditional gown. Enjoy these ethereal images from Tamiz Photography!

Alexa and Virgil fell in love with the Tuscan style of Villa del Sol d’Oro in Sierra Madre, California, which was the charming backdrop of their romantic outdoor wedding. Allowing the venue and the spring season to serve as inspiration, they worked with Blushing Romance to create chic florals that enhanced the surroundings. Lush peonies, ranunculus, and anemones combined with dusty miller are soft and lovely; we love the light pinks paired with black bridesmaids dresses and romantic hair styles by Raluca Bucse. Alexa’s stunning Saison Blanche Couture gown from Mary Me Bridal is slightly modern, with a shirred tulle skirt that is simply divine! Alexa and Virgil remember the entire affair as the perfect day. “The atmosphere was phenomenal!” says the bride. “Everything went so smoothly that day, we were fully enjoying our wedding and soaking in very happy moment.” We are head over heels for these gorgeous images from Diana Marie Photography!

Emily and Daniel’s classic Cincinnati wedding is full of stunning fashion: we are swooning over her Jenny Packham gown and Jimmy Choo heels, and the chic gray Amsale bridesmaids dresses. After a ceremony at Plum Street Temple, where Emily was walked down the aisle by her 94 year-old grandfather, everyone traveled to the beautiful Cincinnati Country Club for the reception, which featured sophisticated and personal details. A mountain laurel motif on the stationery by M. Hopple & Co. honored Emily’s late father, a horticulturalist, and Emily and her family canned jars of her grandma’s apricot jam as favors. Emily comes from a family of gardeners, and selected garden roses, dahlias, hydrangeas, and dusty miller for the lovely florals created by Del Apgar. We especially adore the touches of orchids on the escort card table! Viva Bella Events made sure things went off without a hitch, and we are head over heels for the gorgeous images by Clary Photo as featured in Issue 4 of Magnolia Rouge Magazine!

Lauren and Tim’s San Juan Island, Washington, resort wedding is a mix of whimsy and elegance, from the waterfront locale at Roche Harbor to the fanciful pink and peach dahlias and hints of dusty miller in the florals. We adore the lush flowers and design from the ever-talented planners at Sinclair & Moore Events! Invitations with adorable illustrations from La Happy are fun and filled with personality. Bridesmaids dresses from Bill Levkoff in dusty blue recall the color of the nearby ocean and complement the surrounding peach and cream hues. Lauren’s Vera Wang gown features simple beading and a gorgeous A-line silhouette. A tent reception on the resort grounds includes elegant florals contrasted with more rustic elements like the wine barrel table—which holds cakes from Pure Bliss Desserts—and leather and wood chairs scooted up to linen-draped dining tables.
