Snowy Lake Tahoe Wedding

Caley and Alex’s Arizona wedding is so stunning, we almost can’t decide where to start! The beautiful outdoor setting of L’Auberge de Sedona is postcard-worthy. Caley and Alex exchanged their vows outdoors near a mountain stream beneath towering trees, with Caley in an intricate Marchesa gown that we’re drooling over. Silvery blue bridesmaids dresses by Lela Rose are a shimmery touch that complements the surrounding nature. To complement the gorgeous green foliage, Events by Show Stoppers kept the reception flowers soft, with cream, green, and pale pink arrangements. A classic wedding cake, warm wood tables, string lights, and linen table runners complete the charming setting. These images from Sloan Photographers are so gorgeous—get inspired in the gallery!

There’s something about California weddings that are so laid-back yet beautifully sophisticated! Becca and Solomon’s fete in San Luis Obispo is so pretty, thanks to lush bouquets and dozens and dozens of white hydrangeas from Flowers by Fluidbloom. Taupe bridesmaids dresses are natural and pretty against the landscape. And we can’t get past the fabulous flower on Becca’s Melissa Sweet gown—it’s fabulous! Guests at Tiffany and Jonathan’s Montecito Country Club wedding were first treated to a dramatic floral installation by Modern Day Design—inspired by an art exhibit the bride saw at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York—and champagne before taking their seats. Tiffany stunned in a beaded Elie Saab gown as she walked down the aisle, carrying a white peony bouquet, hand-in-hand with Jonathan. After a “somber, ceremonial, romantic” vow exchange, says the bride, everyone switched to party mode, enjoying dancing, cocktails, and cake from Montecito Confections Bakery. From beginning to (late-night) end, Lacie Hansen Photography did a beautiful job of capturing every detail!

Twin Peaks Ranch was the setting for this rustic, elegant affair, captured to perfection by Erin Hearts Court. This Southern California fete is a 2012 favorite of the photographers’ and after viewing the jaw-dropping details, coordinated by Bash, Please, it’s one of our favorites, too! The soft, flowing floral arrangements—also designed by Bash, Please—are oh-so-romantic, while the al fresco lounge made of chic furniture pieces from Found Vintage Rentals has seriously stolen our hearts! We love the sweet-and-simple menu scrolled across a mirror, and are falling for the bridesmaids’ soft grey dresses from J.Crew. We know it’s hard to pick—but do you have a favorite detail from this gorgeous wedding?

Jacy and Stephen pictured a sweet, simple day for their Pacific Northwest wedding, set at Gorge Crest Vineyards in Underwood, Washington, with views of Mt. Hood in the distance. We love the pretty floral-print BHLDN bridesmaids dresses with elegant wildflower-inspired bouquets from Bloomsbury of Kanaka Creek Farm. The lace overlay of Jacy’s Justin Alexander gown subtly mimics the outdoorsy nature theme of the entire affair, captured in breathtaking photos from Mastin Studio. The couple added plenty of their own touches to the day: Stephen burned their initials into birched-wrapped planters, and the delicious dessert from Dream Cakes even featured iced-on inside jokes and words representing their favorite things!

Gina and Joe’s story begins like so many others in this generation: via a dating app and an awkward first date. Despite the fact Joe was not a Francophile and “avoided all of the French words” at the French restaurant they ate at, the pair met up again and the rest was history. Before they knew it, they were planning a wedding in Temecula’s wine country with Ashley Bee Photography documenting their day. Purple was common favorite color between the two of them, yet they wanted to break up the hues with various shades. Mauve, gold, and the deep brown wood interior at Wiens Family Cellar created a classic and rustic feel. Gina and Joe are fond of the outdoors, yet due to the weather and the season, they opted to stay warm and cozy inside. Despite this, they wanted to extract those aspects of the outdoors they love and add them into their indoor venue. Long, wooden tables mostly exposed with Sweet Flowers’ wildflower-esque creations gave this nature-loving couple exactly the motif they wanted, and it’s a treat for us all too!

Ahh, we can’t stop staring at these gorgeous images from Julia Wade Photography! Nestled in the foothills of Highlands, North Carolina, The Farm at Old Edwards Inn is an elegant venue for Sarahbeth and Lee’s classic wedding. Oakleaf Flower & Garden brought in tons of white lilies and hydrangeas to mix with earthy greenery, transforming the inn into a dreamy and romantic setting for Sarahbeth and Lee. We are in love with Sarahbeth’s fur, which she wore over a stunning beaded lace Martina Liana gown from Divas Boutique & Bridal. Black bridesmaids dresses from The Dessy Group fit right into the classic feel of the day, coordinated by Taylor Wright of Old Edwards Inn & Spa. At the reception, tables are crowned with more white florals, some arranged in sparkly mercury glass for subtle shine. A simple square wedding cake from Creative Pastries by Sid, set atop a silver cake stand, is another timeless detail of this beautiful affair. Oh how we love a flawless wedding like this one!

We love the mix of Dallas style in Rachael and Cam’s Santa Barbara destination wedding! The entire affair is equal parts California mod and Southern sophisticated, starting with Rachael’s contemporary column-style Amsale gown. But to offset the crisp lines, she chose soft white peonies and hydrangeas for florals by Juniper Designs. We also really like the look of black-and-white striped ribbon around bridesmaids bouquets, paired with their taupe Bari Jay dresses. The outdoor ceremony was held at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, Santa Barbara, before guests entered the hotel’s Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club for an indoor/outdoor reception. Events by Philippe ensured the details were perfect, like gold sequined linens atop cocktail tables, dramatic flower topiary centerpieces, and tailored striped chair cushions on Chiavari chairs to mimic the wedding details. The gold cake prepared by the resort is the perfect send-off for this elegant bash! We adore all of these spectacular images from the amazing Hazelnut Photography!

There are so many gorgeous elements in Jennifer and David’s wedding, held at The Blue Dress Barn in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The site itself is rustic, but touches like feathers and lush blooms in bouquets and arrangements from Posh Petals and Jennifer’s absolutely amazing Paloma Blanca gown—complete with an unbelievable rhinestone-and-lace capelet—upped the glam factor in a major way! French Country details and a chocolate wedding cake festooned with more feathers from Dee’s Specialty Cakes just furthered the sophisticated feel at this woodsy location. The images from Amy Carroll Photography captured the magical, charming sentiment of this wedding. And we totally adore the bride’s lottery ticket wedding favors, tied in festive bags with a penny! We’re somewhat teary just looking at the emotion on Jennifer and David’s faces—what an absolutely breathtaking affair!

It’s easy to see why Mary and Nick’s wedding is one of the photographer’s favorites of the year! The neoclassical architecture of the New Orleans Museum of Art—site of the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception—paved the pathway for the sophisticated touches planned by Michele and Brittany Adams of Unique Weddings in New Orleans. Mostly white and green arrangements and bouquets by Perfect Presentations Florals and Event Design, were pretty without overshadowing the surroundings, and Mary’s Vera Wang simply takes our breath away! Haydel’s Bakery did the subtle cake topped with hydrangeas, while Mary and Nick surprised guests at the end of the night with a visit from the Roman Candy Man. There are so many gorgeous images from Tanja Lippert Photography that we had a hard time choosing what to show you. It looks like a fabulous time was had by all!

Ana and Andre’s Miami wedding just may be the zenith of all elegant, sophisticated South Beach bashes—it also happens to be one of the photographer’s favorite affairs of 2012. Held at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, the Jewish ceremony featured traditions such as a chuppah—festooned with lush peach, green, and cream blooms by Parrish Designs—breaking the glass, and the hora. Bridesmaids shimmered by candlelight in deep metallic gray dresses from Amsale, while Ana’s Rivini gown was accented by an ethereal mantilla veil. Some of our absolute favorite details are the couple’s vintage getaway car, and the traditional English fruitcake made by Ana’s family. The photos from KT Merry Photography are stunning, just like this waterfront wedding!

Brooke and Bobby’s big day was a total family affair in Valley Center, California. Held at the mother of the bride’s home—bordering a vineyard—Brooke describes the atmosphere as “like a Tuscan countryside at sunset with twinkling lights and candles set in the trees.” It certainly sounds breathtaking, and the images from Color Me Rad are just that, too. Brooke’s stepfather built a bridge for her to walk across—glowing in a dress designed by her stepmother and jewelry from ArtHappens—in lieu of an aisle. The Third Coast Jazz Band played as twilight settled over this perfect day. “You could just feel the love that went into this special occasion,” says Brooke.

There is something so effortlessly elegant about Laurie and Michael’s sun-washed wedding on the grounds of the gorgeous The Villa of San Juan Capistrano. Could that be because the bride is a Newport Beach, California interior designer?! Laurie put her skills to work for her wedding, envisioning a vibrant, French-inspired affair complete with the happiest floral arrangements by Floral Occasions. From casually color-coordinated bridesmaids dresses to burlap-wrapped water bottles, we’re in love with every single detail that Troy Grover Photographers captured!

Jacquelyn and Stewart’s wedding was a labor of love. Family members and friends gathered to help craft the “simple, natural and not over the top” vision Jacquelyn had for the day. They collected wine bottles and vintage containers from flea markets, which the bride’s mother filled with fresh flowers on the wedding day. A family friend welcomed the couple and their guests onto their private estate for the affair and “as you can see we were thrilled about that and felt so blessed by it,” Jacquelyn said. White tags tied to wine corks were pinned to a board and served as the couple’s escort card display, a detail we adore! Braedon Photography captured the natural beauty of the day so well that we feel as if we are basking in the sunshine with the bride and groom!

Lauren and Breck were married on the most beautiful spring day at Stewart Farm in Industry, Texas.  Elegant and understated, their decor enhanced the gorgeous surroundings by featuring fluffy, all-white centerpieces of hydrangea, peonies, freesia, and orchids on lovely wood tabletops.  Lauren loves to cook, and worked closely with Wade Schindler’s Party Thyme to create a menu of their favorite foods, served on giant platters without the need of any chafing dishes or buffet stands.  Lauren and Breck both have parents who have been married over 40 years!  They are so proud of their close-knit families and honored them by toasting with champagne flutes from Lauren’s parents’ wedding and displaying their parents’ wedding photos on the dessert table. Beautiful down to every last detail, we are completely in love with their wedding and the images from Brooke Schwab Photography!

Gabrielle and Chris wanted to get married somewhere that felt enchanted and once they saw the natural beauty and elegance of Meadowood Napa Valley they knew it was the right place! Their outdoor ceremony was held in front of a marvelous birch altar adorned with hanging sweet pea and although they did not have a bridal party, their adorable puppy, Lola, acted as their ring bearer. The flowers by Cherries Flowers are the epitome of natural elegance and included garden roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, jasmine, and astilbe. I’m absolutely in love with their unique escort cards: a sparkling display of natural crystals and gemstones wrapped in copper wire and set upon a bed of moss. Each table had an explanation of the spiritual meaning of its stone, the head table being Amethyst which symbolized “pure and true emotional love.” Enjoy these incredible photos by the amazing Gia Canali!

There are so many things that I love about Kim & Brian’s wedding: the gorgeous setting, the cozy log cabin venue, their adorable dog, Kim’s safflower bouquet…oh and I could go on! Friends and family met Kim and Brian for their wedding at The HideOut in Kirkwood, California. Although I adore all of the details from their big day, my favorite are the hundred or so handmade paper flowers that hung above the couple during their ceremony. These amazing photos by Julia Wade include some of my all-time favorite portraits and capture an incredible day!

Sugar, spice, and everything really nice sums up Jamie and Casey’s South Carolina shindig. The Charlotte couple wanted something more quintessentially southern, so they traveled a bit further south into Charleston and fell in love with The Governor Thomas Bennett House. They were spellbound by its classic look; white exterior with black shutters, and its all-in-one manicured garden perfect for the ceremony and reception. This accommodating setup can go with any style or color palette, but we are totally fawning over the soft pastel wedding aesthetic that Ashley Wenz with Boutique Planning made come to life. Reception tables were kept light and airy with dove gray and blush linens from Snyder Rentals. To add some oomph, weathered farmhouse tables sans linens were the ideal complement to add some texture to the space. Before we go on and on, we’re just going to let Ava Moore Photography do the rest of the storytelling about this beautiful day.

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

Christine and Jeff were married on a picture-perfect Charleston day at the sprawling Lowndes Grove Plantation. Having met at Furman University, the couple knew they wanted to be married in South Carolina, and held their wedding on Christine’s parents’ 40th wedding anniversary, August 5th. Though August is traditionally muggy and hot, a light summer rain left a breezy afternoon and beautiful sunset. A Charleston Bride worked with Christine and Jeff to create an elegant, unfussy, atmosphere with a timeless color palette of white, gold, blush, and touches of ivy. Palmetto Bloom designed arrangements in a mix of heights, making for a spectacular atmosphere in the tent, draped in swaths of white fabric with glimmering hanging chandeliers. The result is breathtaking! Adding a touch of color, bridesmaids donned floaty Amsale dresses, which beautifully complemented Christine’s Vera Wang gown and Jeff’s crisp white tuxedo jacket by Ralph Lauren.
