Chic + Glam Art Museum Wedding

There are so many fun, elegant details in Courtney and Ben’s Milwaukee Art Museum wedding, we almost don’t know where to start! Scrolling through these images from M Three Studio highlights a day filled with modern touches such as all white flowers arranged by La Tulipe. Blooms include ranunculus, anemone, and hydrangeas, mixed together for a clean look at the ceremony and reception. Katie Lenz, Courtney’s sister, of Festivities helped the bride design and style the décor, which also included textured white tablecloths from BBJ. Tying in a plane theme from the Courtney and Ben’s love of travel, the whimsical chocolate wedding cake from Classy Girl Cupcakes is a unique twist on traditional white. We love that Courtney donned two different gowns for the day, both from Pronovias, paired with gorgeous blue and rhinestone Manolo Blahnik heels. In keeping with the contemporary black and white look, bridesmaids wore sophisticated gowns by Jim Hjelm. We love the graphic pops of blue and red on stationery from Sugar River Stationers, and the way Courtney tied the colors into the reception as well. We’re loving all of the gorgeous images!

We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.

Ahh, the soft romance of Rachel and Andrew’s wedding is simply breathtaking! We’re loving the vintage feel of this Dearborn, Michigan, affair, starting with an outdoor ceremony and followed by an ethereal monochromatic reception at The Henry Ford that’s sprinkled with metallics and pinks for a fairytale feel. Rachel and Andrew opted for three ceremonies; a ketubah signing, then a small family ceremony held beneath an embroidered cloth chuppah, and finally a larger one that included a lush flower-covered chuppah. Classic, fluffy blooms from Bellisario Florist mark the elegance Rachel desired for the day; Dream Wedding & Event Planners helped to make each wish a reality. We adore Rachel’s unique headpiece and chunky pearl jewelry, a mix of modern and classic that work perfectly with her stunning gown! Ahh we just adore the crisp, clean look of Emily and Chris’s modern but timeless black, white, and gray wedding! A classic church ceremony at Church of St. Cecilia gets a mod twist with white bouquets trimmed with black and white striped ribbon streamers from Sadie’s Couture Floral & Event Styling—we love the gorgeous poppies! Black bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew are a perfect contrast with Emily’s Vera Wang gown and veil. We’re loving the metallic silvers and grays throughout this affair, from contemporary stationery by Amy Hunt to Emily’s sparkly Jimmy Choo heels and the silver-embellished cake by Rosa’s Cake Gallery at the reception, held at the chic Cafe Lurcat in Minneapolis. Letting the sophisticated decor at the cafe guide them, Emily and Chris opted for lots of candles interspersed with black and white details that are elegant and refreshing. We’re swooning over this perfect affair and the images from Two Bird Studio!

Kiera and Jay’s wedding feels like a warm spring day, thanks to deep lavender bridesmaids dresses by Priscilla of Boston and a gorgeous Arizona landscape at the Royal Palms Resort and Spa. Adding to the seasonal feel are lush flower garlands and petite fuchsia and purple bouquets by Flora Bella. We love how every detail is perfectly coordinated, thanks to Outstanding Occasions. Modern embellishments on the classic silhouette of Kiera’s Melissa Sweet gown makes it a timeless show-stopper, and we adore the bow sash! Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, New York, is the perfect mix of rustic nature and understated sophistication, and a gorgeous setting for Brooke and Scott’s elegant candlelit wedding! Our eyes are drawn to the criss-cross pattern on the gown of Brooke’s ball skirt and her patent blush colored Christian Louboutins! We adore the minimalist flowers in exchange for romantic candlelight and shimmering mercury glass, styled by You + Me*. Poppies & Posies added a few floral touches for the outdoor Jewish ceremony—complete with a handmade chuppah by Roy Kushner of Artisan Chuppah—and barn-style reception, which featured an absolute sea of candles on the stunning tabletops! Our mouths are watering over the one-of-a-kind wedding cake from Momofuku Milk Bar, which stands out from typical white confections. The ever-fabulous Michael Falco of Christian Oth Studio captured all of the amazing details of this day—see them all in the gallery!

Kaitlyn and John’s Phoenix wedding, planned by Outstanding Occasions, was pretty pink perfection! Florals by Petal Pusher really knocked it out of the park, from the breathtaking ceremony canopy and lush bouquets, the stunning centerpieces and a sweetheart table almost completely draped in a blanket of flowers, to the petite wrapped bundles of flowers for guests as they picked up their escort cards! We absolutely love the touch of bling for the reception, it’s the perfect amount of sparkle for this fabulous fête. For their Charlotte, North Carolina, wedding and reception at The Mint Museum Uptown, Courtney and Rich wanted everything surrounding them to reflect their simple and clean style. That meant lots of light pink and white with a splash of silvery gray, starting with white tulip and peony bouquets from The Place for Flowers. Carolina Wedding Design orchestrated the event, outfitting the reception area with gray bamboo chairs that shimmered beneath fabric-covered hanging lanterns. A simple, two-tier wedding cake from Cake Lady Jill was accented with a single pale pink flower. Courtney’s strapless white gown by Christos fit in with the modern, light-colored decor and flowers, but petal detailing gave it plenty of texture that shows through in images from The Schultzes. Likewise, charcoal bridesmaids dresses from White by Vera Wang featured full skirts whose swirls mimicked the tulip bouquets. We’re in love with the romantic feel of this one!

Janine and Mike chose Woodbridge Township’s stunning Ariana’s Grand for their reception venue, and the venue was perfect for their clean and ethereal wedding vision! To keep their wedding timeless, Flowers by Bernard filled their reception with swaths of greenery and mixed metals, accented by succulents and acrylic elements for a modern touch. Janine’s late grandmother was named Rosalie, and they honored her by sprinkling roses throughout the arrangements. We are swooning over every gorgeous images from Stephanie Sunderland, and the spectacular wedding day video from NST Pictures!

Sugar, spice, and everything really nice sums up Jamie and Casey’s South Carolina shindig. The Charlotte couple wanted something more quintessentially southern, so they traveled a bit further south into Charleston and fell in love with The Governor Thomas Bennett House. They were spellbound by its classic look; white exterior with black shutters, and its all-in-one manicured garden perfect for the ceremony and reception. This accommodating setup can go with any style or color palette, but we are totally fawning over the soft pastel wedding aesthetic that Ashley Wenz with Boutique Planning made come to life. Reception tables were kept light and airy with dove gray and blush linens from Snyder Rentals. To add some oomph, weathered farmhouse tables sans linens were the ideal complement to add some texture to the space. Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

When you fall in love with your wedding venue, you just know, no matter what your plans originally were. Amanda and Vlad planned for a Colorado wedding, but they never knew what hit them as they stepped foot onto Bella Collina’s stunning grounds in Florida. Reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside, it was love at first sight for the duo and it just jived so well with their romantic wedding vision that we get to fawn over thanks to Kristen Weaver Photography‘s epic photos. The white florals and greenery by Lee James Floral looked resplendent against the venue’s landscape, but no matter how glorious the blooms looked, it just couldn’t compare to Amanda and Vlad looking like a million bucks. They stole the show, for sure!

After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.

Christina and Pablo are high school sweethearts, and friends and family from around the world converged onto St Petersburg, Florida for their classic wedding at the St. Pete Museum of Fine Arts. A black and white color palette and black tie wedding party attire added an elegant touch. The museum’s natural beauty needed little in the way of decor, so petite centerpieces from Northside Florist atop shimmering linens added a finishing touch to the expansive room. Bridesmaids selected their favorite black dresses from Azazie, while Christina was radiant in a lace mermaid gown from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection. Modern and sophisticated, Melissa and Michael’s Chicago wedding at Hotel Allegro captivated us from the moment we set eyes upon it! The couple worked with Bianca of Estera Events to bring their vision of a chic, contemporary spring wedding to life. Working with a sleek color palette of silver, white, green, and navy, the always-fabulous Fleur created arrangements with an assortment of candles and white peonies, hydrangea, tulips, and garden roses. Every element down to the gorgeous cake from Alliance Bakery featured snowy white blooms! We simply adore Melissa’s classic bridal updo and natural makeup by Sonia Roselli, a perfect complement to her trumpet gown. Each moment is beautifully captured by Kina Wicks Photography!

Syreeta and David’s at The Peninsula is modern Chicago elegance. Kehoe Designs worked with a clean color palette of silver, black, and ivory to transform the Peninsula’s ballroom for the ceremony, with a classic white uplit chuppah and lush florals elevated in black urns. The guest list was comprised of immediate family, so in lieu of a traditional reception, everyone was treated to cocktails followed by an intimate dinner at a feasting table with a lush rolling landscape of white floral, woven between gorgeous black candelabras. We have to gush over this incredibly fashionable couple: David is the epitome of the dashing groom in a Yves Saint Laurent tux, Tom Ford tie, and Prada shoes, and Syreeta is absolutely glowing in a J. Crew gown, BHLDN headpiece, and sparkly Christian Louboutin heels. We love the easy elegance of this beautiful wedding from Justine Bursoni Photography!

We’re crushing pretty hard on Jennifer and Matt’s breathtaking San Francisco wedding in all its sleek black and white glory! The ceremony, held at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, was a vision of structured elegance–starting with Jennifer’s mod Romona Keveza Collection gown (that back sash!) from Bridal Galleria and floor-length black Bill Levkoff dresses on bridesmaids. The black, ivory, and gold reception at The Olympic Club featured all white florals from Asiel Design, including centerpieces of cascading white orchids that are simply stunning. We love the personal touch of hand-carved shorebirds on the tables, done by Jennifer’s decoy carver father. A dessert table with confections from SusieCakes lent an air of fun to this sophisticated affair. Perrine and Aaron’s timeless wedding in Columbus, Ohio, is one that’s just brimming with spring details! We love all of the pink and white in florals, especially the peony bouquets, from Flowers on Orchard Lane. The pretty pale colors are lovely with classic black bridesmaids dresses as well as Perrine’s Angel Rivera gown with pleated bodice. After the traditional ceremony at Saint Joseph Cathedral, guests made their way to The Country Club at Muirfield Village where they were wowed by the event design and planning by MMJ Weddings & Events. There, pops of deep blue—reminiscent of the color of Perrine’s Badgley Mischka shoes—joined more pink, white, and silver details to transform the reception hall into a beautiful backdrop for dinner and dancing. One of our favorite details is the bride, groom, and dog topper perched above the cupcakes from Nicely Made Cupcakes. We’re madly in love with these images from Jen & Jonah!

We just love the fun Old Florida-meets-glitz vibe of Emily and Kyle’s wedding. The gorgeous Bay Preserve at Osprey in Sarasota hosted the fabulous affair, where bright flowers by Elegant Designs Floral Art Studio were a bold contrast to black and white stripes and gold accents. Bridesmaids in black dresses from J.Crew continued the color scheme, while Emily’s Lazaro gown and veil were fairy tale perfect! We’re smitten with the elegant stationery with black and white details from Write-On Sarasota, which coordinated with the palette of the day, too. NK Productions ensured all the details came together for the look Emily and Kyle envisioned, right down to the light bulb place cards that reflected Kyle’s pro lighting business.
