Tropical Purple + White Beach Wedding

Orchids, orchids, and more orchids—we are head over heels in love with Stephanie and Andrew’s modern and chic Miami wedding! Captured beautifully by Abby of Liga Photography—who photographed Stephanie’s sister’s wedding as well!—their ceremony was held at the historic Plymouth Congregational Church in Coconut Grove. Modeled after an old mission church in Mexico, Plymouth is a stunning, ivy-covered sanctuary built by a Spanish stonemason. It’s stunning! And even more stunning? Stephanie in her positively fabulous Vera Wang gown and cathedral length veil. Post-ceremony, a vintage blue Bentley transported the couple to their reception at the Intercontinental Hotel Miami (that’s where the orchids come in!). The floral by Sylvia Conde Rodriguez is pure candlelit perfection. Love, love, love!

Dominique and Blake’s vision for their Scottsdale wedding was pure romance, and working alongside Jennifer Ellis of White House Design Studio, their ideas transformed into reality. The couple, dating since their sophomore year of college, were joined at the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia by family and friends who had watched their love blossom over the years. A vivid color palette of berry, wine, and ivory was selected to enhance the beauty of their desert setting, and White House Design Studio created arrangements overflowing with orchid, hydrangea, and magnolia leaves to festoon the ceremony arch and adorn the luxurious reception tables. In lieu of traditional place cards, guests received hand-calligraphed notes in ivory ribbon-wrapped boxes, the notes serving as a warm thank you from the couple for joining them to celebrate their special day. We are just loving these images of Ashley and Michael’s New Orleans wedding! The historic feel of the city blended with modern touches and classic details is the perfect combination for a stunning affair! We’re amazed at the breathtaking architecture of St. Louis Cathedral, site of the ceremony, as well as the timeless setting of The Roosevelt New Orleans, where the reception was held. “I wanted a classic and romantic feel for the ceremony and reception,” says Ashley. “My vision was lots of creams and whites in the furniture and flowers with lots of candles and mirrored accents. Our florist, Bahara of Plants N’ Petals, did an absolutely amazing job bringing our vision to life!” Sophisticated black bridesmaids dresses from LulaKate are dramatic, especially beside Ashley’s dazzling Rivini gown with a dramatic scalloped skirt! We just can’t get enough of the bridal party’s amazing ensemble! We love the glam accents at the reception, too, from crystal candelabras to a swiss dot cake by The Roosevelt New Orleans and the bride and groom’s classic NOLA ending: a second line with umbrellas! Jenna and Eddie’s modern New York City wedding is filled with color and elegant details that Christine Chang Photography captured in a timeless way! Pinks and purples are woven throughout all of the details, in fuchsia Ralph Lauren bridesmaids dresses, lavender and plum orchids from By Yena Designs, and even in Jenna’s multicolored glitter Jimmy Choo heels. We adore the bold hues against Jenna’s classic Monique Lhuillier gown! The W New York Union Square was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and reception, offering an elegant contemporary space in the middle of the bustling city. Jenna and Eddie worked with Ang Weddings & Events to coordinate their affair, which included orchid details on stationery from In a Card, as well as on the garland cascading down the Ron Ben-Israel Cakes dessert. We’re swooning over this gorgeous celebration!

We love the mix of Dallas style in Rachael and Cam’s Santa Barbara destination wedding! The entire affair is equal parts California mod and Southern sophisticated, starting with Rachael’s contemporary column-style Amsale gown. But to offset the crisp lines, she chose soft white peonies and hydrangeas for florals by Juniper Designs. We also really like the look of black-and-white striped ribbon around bridesmaids bouquets, paired with their taupe Bari Jay dresses. The outdoor ceremony was held at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, Santa Barbara, before guests entered the hotel’s Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club for an indoor/outdoor reception. Events by Philippe ensured the details were perfect, like gold sequined linens atop cocktail tables, dramatic flower topiary centerpieces, and tailored striped chair cushions on Chiavari chairs to mimic the wedding details. The gold cake prepared by the resort is the perfect send-off for this elegant bash! We adore all of these spectacular images from the amazing Hazelnut Photography!

Hillary and Michael’s Florida wedding is an absolute breath of fresh air. Boca Bay Pass Club and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church provided unbelievable backdrops for their stunning pink and ivory wedding. Romantic and ruffled peonies were the focus of beautiful bouquets by Designs By Jody and I’m still swooning over their beautiful tented wedding reception right on the beach. There are so many gorgeous photos by Melissa Schollaert Photography from Hillary and Michael’s big day that it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just a few, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy these just as much as I did!

Jenifer and Gastao were married in Jenifer’s parents’ backyard in Coral Gables, Florida. How lucky is that? I love the attention to detail that Jenifer used when selecting her flowers. She did all her flowers herself (!) and chose ones that not only fit into her color palette, but also whose meanings she loved. For example, she chose lilacs (first emotions of love), stock (lasting beauty), seeded eucalyptus (protection, healing), and a several other flowers which not only looked beautiful but also had special meanings. There were so many beautiful photos of them from Elaine Palladino Photography that I had a very difficult time narrowing down which ones to include! A gorgeous setting for a gorgeous event, so happy to share it with everyone today!

Lauren and Raymond both hail from large Italian families, so their East Meadow, NY wedding was no small affair! Their shared love for their heritage was incorporated throughout their reception at The Carltun, from the Italian menu to the vintage map of Italy re-purposed as escort cards and Italian love notes hand-calligraphed by Eliza Gwendalyn. The couple chose not to see each other before their ceremony, and recalls that “walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time was something so special that we will never regret.” We know that the moment of seeing Lauren in her elegant and sophisticated Monique Lhuillier gown will be forever in Raymond’s memory! Lauren and Raymond worked with Pedestals for the classic ballroom reception, featuring hydrangea, sahara roses, and glimmering candlelight. Each moment captured by Michelle Lange Photography and NST Pictures is perfection!

Ask Josy about the day of her wedding to Bryan and she’ll say it was “in one word, perfect.” The couple selected Miami’s Coral Gables Country Club for their romantic and intimate celebration, and the day was filled with love and laughter, along with many personal touches. In addition to lovingly creating the petal toss cones, menus, and rolled shawl favors, Josy and Bryan penned letters to each guest, delivered at the reception, a lovely and memorable gesture that we’re sure no one will soon forget. Josy adores flowers, and worked with Avant Gardens to create elegant blush and white arrangements for the reception, set atop glimmering mirrored tables, and a showstopping flower wall that served as both a ceremony altar and sweetheart table backdrop. The result was breathtaking! From the rose petals down the aisle to the sea of candles in the reception, every moment is romantic and timeless, and beautifully captured by Elaine Palladino!

Andrea and Alex’s Palm Springs wedding perfectly captures the feeling of their desert surroundings. Their poolside soiree is clean and classic, without any stuffiness or pretense, and you can just feel the love radiating between them! After a ceremony in the Alcazar Hotel‘s charming courtyard, guests moved poolside for the chic reception, with a family-style dinner at estate tables set beneath string lights and the glow of the setting California sun. How adorable are Andrea’s three neices as fairy-like flower girls? Their feathery gold dresses are a whimsical offset to Andrea’s stunning Jenny Packham gown. A late-night Cinco de Mayo fireworks show and late night tacos capped off the evening—we are blown away by the beautiful images from Melissa Gidney!

We love a good Southern wedding filled with romantic details, and Justine and Eric’s North Carolina wedding fills the bill perfectly! First stop: St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church for an elegant ceremony, punctuated with divine bold red bridesmaids dresses by Love Lane from Bella Bridesmaids. The pop of color is gorgeous! Justine chose a beaded strapless Pronovias gown and veil, which she accented with jewelry by Sorrelli and metallic heels by Jimmy Choo. To honor her family, Justine also carried her great-grandmother’s rosary and her great-aunt’s handmade purse. Eric carried his grandfather’s ink pen in his Men’s Wearhouse suit, and he also tucked a photo of his great-grandfather in his pocket. We love these sweet details! Classic stationery from Maria Scheel and understated florals in cream and green—including white and ivory hydrangeas, peonies, garden roses, and mini calla lilies—by Kelly Odom marked both the ceremony and reception, with tall trumpet vases spilling fluffy blooms on to tables at Prestonwood Country Club. With direction from A Southern Soiree Wedding & Event Planning, the ballroom was transformed into a gold and cream wonderland for dinner and dancing. Cinda’s Creative Cakes provided the tiered confection, topped simply with white roses. We’re swooning over this beautiful wedding and these images from Nancy Ray!

Despite having to move their Saturday Seaside nuptials to a Friday due to a threatening tropical storm–and pulled off with little stress, says the bride, thanks to Shelby Peaden Events–Blaire and Bill’s wedding day couldn’t have been more picture perfect! These breathtaking images from Dear Wesleyann have us swooning over every detail, from sky blue bridesmaids dress by LulaKate to the lacy and elegant Nicole Miller gown Blaire chose. Magnolia leaf wreaths embellish the pews at the chic Seaside Chapel, where the bright light mixed with the cool colors creates a sophisticated at-the-beach vibe. At the reception held on the Central Park lawn at Alys Beach, seagrass textures and white florals, blue candles, and a subtle ocean theme are stunning thanks to Events by Nouveau. We’re loving the gold accents, too, from Chiavari chairs and linens to the calligraphy invitation suite from Paper Affair to Blaire’s metallic Jimmy Choo heels!

Brooke and Russell’s lovely Nashville wedding is an elegant affair filled with classic touches that we adore! Brooke is flawless in a Monique Lhuillier gown from The Bride Room–we are swooning over the top lace piece that’s romantic and delicate, a perfect complement to Brooke’s filmy Toni Federici veil. Bridesmaids chose varying designs of a light taupe dress by Amsale, which are soft and pretty mixed in with garden details like the lush bouquets, hydrangea and magnolia wreaths, and floral hair wreaths from Branches. After a traditional ceremony at St. George’s Episcopal Church, the party continued at the vintage-style Union Station Hotel, where a lush floral garland ran the length of Brooke and Russell’s table. “The flowers were stunning! My favorite thing at the reception was the flower runner on the head table,” says Brooke. Sequin linens from La Tavola Fine Linen Rental and classic pieces like engraved silver vases and cafe string lights dotted the reception room, where the couple’s Dessert Designs cake was topped with more fresh flowers. One of our favorite details is the monogrammed logo by Allison R. Banks Designs on the couple’s stationery from Rock Paper Scissors. We adore every single detail captured by the fabulous Kristyn Hogan!

Elizabeth and Robert perfected rustic elegance with their wedding at Camp Lucy, in Dripping Springs outside of Austin, Texas. We just love the sweet, pastel colors against the woodsy venue–gorgeous lush blooms from Bouquets of Austin, pale blush bridesmaids dresses from Monique Lhuillier, and lots of lace on Elizabeth’s Enzoani gown and cathedral veil from Bridal Boutique. We’re drawn to these pretty photos from Photography by Vanessa, especially with details of the tri-fold ceremony programs by Shine Wedding Invitations and a cake by Coco Paloma Desserts festooned with fresh blooms. Elegant rentals from Whim Event Rentals mix with iron pieces from Mancino Iron Rentals, which reinforce the romantic, rustic theme. Says Elizabeth of their “gorgeous” wedding, “We wanted a romantic and intimate hill country wedding. It felt like a perfect Texas weekend.” We couldn’t agree more!

Emily and Dan’s Columbus, Ohio, wedding is impossibly classic and sophisticated, with a dreamy palette of ivory, blush, and gold and dramatic pops of navy. The gorgeous St. Mary’s Catholic Church was host to the catholic ceremony, and the ethereal colors continued at the reception, held in the breathtakingly gorgeous The Westin Columbus. Marble floors and gold details created a fairytale space for Emily and Dan; Emily looked like a princess in a CB Couture lace gown, accented by a stunning vintage veil from Vera’s House of Bridals! Bridesmaids wore long navy dresses by  Joielle, but their flowers, like the others, were held to the neutral palette. Flowers on Springtree Lane translated Emily’s vision so that the blooms accented rather than competed with the surroundings. Textured roses on linens by Urquid Linen and the cake by The End Dessert Company were in keeping with the intricate detailing of the décor. We are simply in love with these swoon-worthy images from Two Maries!

Jill and David’s elegant San Diego wedding is intimate and family-oriented, and that makes for some gorgeous, laid-back smiles in these photos from Samuel Lippke Studios. Jill, naturally, takes center stage in a lace gown from Claire Pettibone—always a stunning choice! The outdoor ceremony is punctuated by classic all white bouquets by LaVonne Crawford of Adorations Botanical Artistry. At the reception at The Grand Del Mar, styled by Thomas Bui Lifestyle, shimmering beaded garland hanging in trees, silvery-gray linens, and plenty of lush white blooms and candlelight create a romantic atmosphere. We are absolutely swooning over this entire affair—see it all in the gallery!

Lee and Raul honored the groom’s Spanish heritage in their Miami, Florida wedding, even incorporating a coin tradition into their ceremony at Church of the Little Flower. How sweet is that? Lee looked stunning in her Justin Alexander gown, which featured a dramatic button-up back and long train. We love the light silver bridesmaids dresses by Alfred Sung—a soft complement to Lee and Raul’s color palette of ivory, peach and yellow. Flowers By Carol created beautiful arrangements of hydrangea and roses that lined banquet tables at The Coral Gables Museum, where Lee and Raul held their outdoor reception. There isn’t a single detail we don’t love from their big day, and we’re so glad Starfish Studios shared it with us!

Modern and fresh Room 1520 was the setting for Alex and Charlotte’s gorgeous Chicago soiree! The ceremony beautifully brought together Charlotte’s Presbyterian background and Alex’s Jewish heritage, and, inspired by a sweet Southern summer, the couple, along with their wedding planner Beth Bernstein of SQN Events and florist Hello Darling, transformed the raw, industrial loft space with lovely garden-style arrangements, mercury glass vases, and a cozy lounge area. Working from a palate of soft grey, smoky lavender and sage green, the narrow rectangular tables created an intimate dinner party feel for the evening reception. We love Charlotte’s natural, curly updo and beautiful Monique Lhullier gown—she and Alex radiate love in the beautiful images from Olivia Leigh Photographie!

When Amy and James wanted seemingly opposing aesthetics for their weddings day: modern design with romantic touches. By choosing the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Nevada, as their location and allowing florist B&B Designs to craft soft, pastel arrangements of dahlias, peonies and roses, this couple got the best of both worlds—and we’re smitten with the outcome! Amy looked stunning in her layered Pronovias ball gown, beside bridesmaids decked out in short purple dresses from J. Crew. The rooftop of the Nevada Museum of Art made for a stunning setting for Amy and James’ ceremony, while the indoors lent a crisp, clean slate for their simple reception decor. And the cake—oh the cake! By Nothing Bundt Cakes, Amy and James’ red velvet cake was dripping with flavorful icing so enticing we can almost taste it now! We just love these images from Courtney Aaron!

From the looks of these images from Akil Bennett Photography, Virginia and Jeff’s wedding at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa was one fun party! From luxe floral garlands fashioned from cream and pink blooms from Wedding Flowers by Lisa to the pale pink Monique Lhuillier bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaid, every detail is Texas-size and fabulous. We are coveting the fur coat Virginia wore over her strapless Rivini gown to combat the chill that comes with a winter wedding. Belle of the Ball took care of the details on the big day, so Virginia and Jeff could indulge in their wedding cake from Susie’s Cakes & Confections while breaking it down on the dance floor to music from Downtown Fever. We’re willing to bet no one wanted to leave this reception—see it all in the gallery!
