Peach + Blue Waterfront Wedding

Jessica and Brett’s effortlessly elegant New England waterfront wedding is perfect in so many ways! The setting of Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island, is idyllic, and soft colors whisper romance. Strapless blush bridesmaids dresses by Flair Bridesmaids are barely a shade deeper than Jessica’s scalloped Modern Trousseau gown; the texture of it reminds us of gentle waves. Keeping with the gauzy feel of the scheme, flowers from Greenlion Design in shades of white and pink sprout from bright green stems that acknowledge the surrounding landscape. Every image from Erin McGinn is making us swoon! We adore the arbor that frames the water for Jessica and Brett’s ceremony, and the earthy wood touches at their mostly pink and white reception make everything feel a bit less precious. Also to die for: the square wedding cake created by the staff at Belle Mer, which turned out to be the perfect spot for the couple’s classic but memorable affair! Oh, Emily and John’s wedding is so stunning! The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island is a top-notch destination for a wedding celebration because it simply never disappoints; talented staff took care of details ranging from catering to rentals to preparing the couple’s Tiffany blue wedding cake. The coastal palette of corals, pinks, and aqua in flowers by Josie Harlan of Anything With Plants & Flowers and water blue bridesmaids dresses from The Dessy Group is lovely outdoors in front of the ocean. Emily’s Watters gown is classic and pretty, much like the surrounding decor. Brooke Images captured every last detail of this affair, from the succulent-and-rose ceremony chair decor to the adorable golf cart exit at the end of the night—see all of the fun in the gallery!

There’s just something effortlessly romantic about the New England coast, and the Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, Rhode Island, didn’t disappoint for Amy and Chet’s wedding festivities. Bridesmaids carried bright pink and yellow wildflower-style bouquets from Allison Phalen Floral Design that played off the natural setting along Narragansett Bay, but the bride held tight to traditional formal elegance with an all-white arrangement and classic silhouette gown. Veronica’s Sweetcakes created a simple two-tier treat that looked too pretty to eat! We can feel the happiness in these sweet photos from Rebecca Arthurs Photography!

Romantic, chic, and stunning, we are completely smitten with Kimberly and Joshua’s wedding at Newport, Rhode Island’s Belle Mer Island House. The waterside venue was the perfect setting for their nuptials, which featured lovely ivory blooms from Greenlion Weddings, curtains billowing with the seaside breeze, and a soft yet classic feel. Kimberly brought a little bit of her Michigan home to Rhode Island, with favors of jam canned by her family with fresh Michigan berries. Each and every image from the amazing Rebecca Arthurs Photography is positively gorgeous!

Emily and Daniel’s classic Cincinnati wedding is full of stunning fashion: we are swooning over her Jenny Packham gown and Jimmy Choo heels, and the chic gray Amsale bridesmaids dresses. After a ceremony at Plum Street Temple, where Emily was walked down the aisle by her 94 year-old grandfather, everyone traveled to the beautiful Cincinnati Country Club for the reception, which featured sophisticated and personal details. A mountain laurel motif on the stationery by M. Hopple & Co. honored Emily’s late father, a horticulturalist, and Emily and her family canned jars of her grandma’s apricot jam as favors. Emily comes from a family of gardeners, and selected garden roses, dahlias, hydrangeas, and dusty miller for the lovely florals created by Del Apgar. We especially adore the touches of orchids on the escort card table! Viva Bella Events made sure things went off without a hitch, and we are head over heels for the gorgeous images by Clary Photo as featured in Issue 4 of Magnolia Rouge Magazine!

What a vision Camille and Greg’s Park City destination wedding is! The breathtaking backdrop of the mountains at The St. Regis Deer Valley is incredibly romantic, and combined with the unexpected lavender details it’s completely stunning. Pretty pink and purple flowers, studded with a cactus here and there, from Petal are lovely and complement the lavender Amsale bridesmaids dresses, the colors a subtle nod to the Mardi Gras elements Camille and Greg wove into their day. Camille’s elaborate Somsi Couture gown is worthy of a parade, and we adore the blush colored Valentino heels she paired with it. Our favorite part of the entire day’s decor may just be the way rustic elements like burlap and birchwood are so elegantly mixed with sterling silver—especially the stand holding a classic cake from Snow Park Bakery—and rich woods. Cheers to this fabulous affair and all of the gorgeous images from Pepper Nix!

What a picture-perfect Los Angeles wedding Lynn and Steve had! We’d never guess this pretty pink and white affair is set in the heart of LA, with soft blooms from Stems Florist festooning the setting at Maguire Gardens, where the ceremony was held, and Cafe Pinot, site of the reception! Our friends at Minted contributed elegant stationery, and Caroline of Serenity Events helped Lynn and Steve coordinate the day of the wedding. Bridesmaids wore short light pink dresses from J.Crew, the perfect complement to Lynn’s stunning Monique Lhuillier gown. And we can’t leave out Steve, handsome in a Black by Vera Wang suit! We love the mod look of Lynn’s silver snakeskin Jimmy Choo heels, too. The outdoor soiree offered plenty of great natural light for Esther Sun to photograph it perfectly. We hear at the end of the night, Lynn and Steve surprised guests with a visit from the In-N-Out Burger Cookout Trailer—a delicious finish to the flawless event! See it all in the gallery!

Karen and Ben’s wedding is classic New England at its finest! Their ceremony and reception were held at Land’s End Inn, once owned by Ben’s uncle, in the heart of Provincetown, Massachusetts. We love the crisp blue details, on bridesmaids dresses from Darling Brides Showcase and Karen’s navy bejeweled Badgley Mischka shoes, against the waterfront setting. Karen chose a beaded strapless gown and long veil from The Brides Project near her Michigan hometown; the classic silhouette is perfect for this crisp nautical affair! Kelley’s Flowers of Wellfleet created a soft pink peony bouquet for Karen, while reception flowers took on a slightly bolder look. In keeping with the simplicity of the pretty decor and surroundings, Cosmos Catering created a cream two-tier cake with buttercream frosting that looks amazing! The flavor of New England shines through beautifully in these images from Lara Kimmerer!

We are smitten with the lovely details of Kristen and Kevin’s Los Angeles wedding at the Skirball Cultural Center! Lush pink and white flowers from G Fiori Floral Design are soft and pretty against Kristen’s Anne Barge gown from The White Dress. The ribbon and rhinestone belt of the gown was the inspiration for the gray bridesmaids dresses from J.Crew. Tall pink and green topiary arrangements and a dessert table filled with sweets surrounds a tall white confection from Cake Crumbs have us drooling. Jillian and Will’s Bel Air, California, wedding has all of the beauty a beach backdrop brings, but instead of an informal affair it exudes elegance and sophistication. These images from Patrick Moyer Wedding Photography & Films show the fabulous highlights, from Jillian’s lavender and cream bouquet and the mermaid-style flare on her Paloma Blanca gown, to the shimmery gray silk WToo bridesmaids dresses and their sweet bouquets of white gerbera daisies created by The Flower Lab. Beachside weddings in Santa Monica simply guarantee gorgeousness, and Pauline and Richard’s wedding at Shutters on the Beach doesn’t disappoint. We’re loving the juxtaposition of sophisticated ceremony images with casual beach portraits from Connie Lyu Photography. Pauline is a glowing bride in a lace mermaid-style gown, and we love the crispness of the water blue bridesmaids dresses. Touches of lace and pastel pink accent this entire dreamy affair. We wouldn’t change a thing, see it all in the gallery!

Marie and Tim’s wedding at The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida, combines the beauty of the beach with the understated elegance only a venue like the The Ritz-Carlton can provide! Dressed in a sweetheart gown with crystal brooch detail, Marie married Tim with views of the ocean as their ceremony backdrop — that, and a gorgeous floral arbor popping with pink and white blooms! We adore the cowl-neck mauve dresses that bridesmaids donned, as well as the round rose and ranunculus bouquets they carried. Photographer Brooke Images has dazzled us with the gorgeous images she captured of the reception, including a classic white cake trimmed in pink lace! I can already tell Cara and Greg’s wedding is going to be one of my very favorites of the entire year! Every detail is absolute perfection! From the picturesque setting at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, to Cara’s breathtaking Monique Lhuillier gown and everything in between, these images from Jessica Lewis Photography will send your heart aflutter. Chef David Laufer of Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village made a simple, elegant buttercream cake festooned with single flowers. We especially love the vintage touches and vignettes throughout the reception! The flowing Bill Levkoff bridesmaids dresses are so pretty with the cream and blush bouquets—we really would wear those again! See even more gorgeousness in the gallery!

Lauren and Adam wanted something unique and special for the guests traveling to their Santa Monica wedding, and the only venue they ever considered was Shutters on the Beach. A white flower-covered chuppah paired with Lauren’s Monique Lhuillier gown were magical against the backdrop of sparkling water, giving guests a glimpse of true California style. Charcoal-colored bridesmaids dresses from Nordstrom picked up the slightest hint of stormy gray in the Pacific and paired well with pink ombre-inspired bouquets from The Floral Lab for a soothing color palette that gave way to a bold reception indoors: shades of pink blooms, from bubblegum to fuchsia, adorning tables covered in deep gray linens. Artist Agnes Csiszar painted the scene as Lauren and Adam took to the dance floor with guests, a keepsake idea we adore! As always, Hazelnut Photography perfectly captured this amazing soiree!

Inspired by the colorful Mediterranean seaside, Stephanie and Niels created a romantic and vibrant soirée at a private estate nestled in the hills of Santa Barbara.  Stephanie’s vision was brought to life with poolside cocktails, colorful centerpieces in terracotta pots, and a Spanish-inspired dinner of paella and sangria.  Soigne Productions made sure that the day went off without a hitch, and we are utterly captivated by all of the gorgeous images from Michael + Anna Costa!

Jourdie and Michael shared a small celebration with friends and family in St. Louis’ Missouri Botanical Garden. Clary Photo beautifully captured the wedding’s soft floral décor, from pink peony bouquets to mint julep cups filled with blooms arranged by Wildflowers. The bride even wore soft pink Jimmy Choo heels, which went perfectly with their subtle pink theme! The bridesmaids dark blue dresses were the perfect pop of a deep color. And don’t you adore the signs that dotted the guestbook table? They were handmade by the bride.  We fell in love with the simple elegance of Jourdie and Michael’s wedding and know you will too!

With a color palette of pale pinks and whites, fluffy hydrangeas and peonies, Jimmy Choos, and fabulous photography, Tully and Dan’s Memphis wedding is, in my opinion, the epitome of classic elegance. Ohmygoodness this wedding is gorgeous. The incredible florals by Garden District to me are the highlight of the decor, a beautiful arch over the door at St. John’s Episcopal Church and a stunning oversized arrangement at Memphis Country Club. How cute are their flower girls too? Kristyn Hogan did an incredible job capturing this beautiful day!

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

For their Massachusetts wedding day, Alex and Chris wanted nothing but everyone to have a splendid time, good food, good drinks, and good memories being passed around. All captured through the lens of The Light and Color Wedding Photography, the Ipswich couple chose to have a traditional wedding day. Alex chose a classic A-line Hayley Paige beauty and the cherry on top of her trousseau was her mom’s veil that she donned for her day. Their ceremony was held at St. John’s Prep (fun fact: Alex is a dentist and St. John’s Prep was the same school where Alex’s boss and Chris’s dad went. The guys are still good friends!), Chris’s high school alma mater. For their wedding reception, they dressed up The Hellenic Center in shades of soft blues and pinks, and organic-style blooms designed by Chris’s sister-in-law, Teresa. Weddings like these that are centered around family and steeped in tradition always leave such a feel-good warmth to our day.

With soft neutral hues and a spectacular beachside setting, Margaret Kyle and Kyle’s Charleston destination wedding is pure coastal elegance. The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding, and Margaret Kyle’s aunt and uncle were married at the Seabrook Island Club, and those fond memories translated into the perfect place to get married! Their vision of an understated but elegant look was brought to life by Lindsay Merhege of Fox Events. Tiger Lily Flowers designed florals that celebrated the neutral palette, with statement accents of greenery and a mixture of snowy white blooms. From the incredible palm tree backdrop to the beautiful cake by Delicious Desserts, every moment is beautifully captured by Jennings King Photography!
