Navy + Blush

It may be the middle of winter outside, but it’s not too early to dream of spring, is it? We’ve long been inspired by springtime hues—buttery yellow, pretty pastel blue and teal, and shimmering apricot—and today’s board brings them together in an elegant palette that screams romance! Delicate fabrics, fluffy flowers, a hint of sparkle, and flowing locks are just a few of the sophisticated details we are loving about this classic look. Tres chic!

If you’re planning spring nuptials, today’s inspiration board may just be perfect for you! An ode to the soft tones of the season in all their glory: mauve, peach puff, and seafoam. Bring this palette to life with dainty calligraphy, a dash of gold, pale pastel bridesmaids dresses, upswept hair, and last but not least, oodles of gorgeous spring flowers!

We love palettes that incorporate vivid colors in an elegant way, and today’s dreamy inspiration board does just that. With a beautiful mix of delicate blush, pale robin’s egg blue, and gold, we go from pale to colorful with the additions of vibrant magenta, rose petal pink, and cobalt. A small dose of garnet and a dash of navy keeps things anchored, and the end result is a wedding color palette that is perfect for all seasons!

It’s been tried-and-true, a black and white wedding is always classic, elegant, and sophisticated. For the couple who wants to keep it timeless while also paying homage to their modern side, it’s all about adding in a healthy dose of bling and a pop of crimson! A little red goes a long way, and this board has the perfect amount. We adore the pop of red lips, velvet trim around the vintage ring boxes, and place cards for color. Barely-there plum keeps the palette grounded. We’re loving every little detail, but none more so than the adorable pup rocking a bejeweled harness (because, let’s face it, everything is better with furbabies)!

Today’s inspiration board is bringing to life a vibrant, bohemian wedding! Southwestern touches such as succulents and beading pair with a glamorous color palette of copper, turquoise, coral, and peach to echo the colors of sunset and the desert. We love the idea of using exotic blooms, such as protea, and adding a bit of color to your dress, like the hint of orange in this bride’s floaty Marchesa gown. We’re swooning over this fun and colorful palette!

After wandering through Central Park this fall, I’ve been inspired by the beautiful peach and gold tones of the season. I love unconventional color palettes, and pairing a delicate shade of peach with dove and gold may seem tailor-made for spring or summer, but add in autumn leaves so green they are almost the shade of night, elegant patterns and swashes of material, and neutral tabletops and you have all of the makings of an elegant fall wedding!

Dreamy and moody, and filled with elegant details such as calligraphy and couture fashion and with a moody color palette of taupe, deep plum, silver, black, and teal, this inspiration board is stunning for a fall or winter wedding. We adore the timeless bohemian sophistication!

This sweet and soft color palette is inspired by the upcoming dawn of spring. The palest of sage green and peach pairs perfectly with a rosy copper for a romantic color story. Minimalist and modern decor reign, including air plants and a sleek cake, but flowing fabrics and floral stationery keep things light and feminine. We adore the pretty end result!

Today’s vision is a light and airy summer wedding with one of my favorite shades—mauve—and an unexpected pairing, warm coffee brown. Of course, we all think of brown as part of a perfect autumn wedding palette, and it’s truly lovely in the fall, but brown is beautiful for your spring and summer weddings too! This board is a bit whimsical and fun (how cute is her hair “bow”?), but of course adds in elegance with killer shoes and lovely stationery. We are swooning for this sweet and chic combination!

You doubtless know by now that Radiant Orchid is Pantone’s color of the year for 2014. We pretty much adore this vibrant shade of purple, and can’t think of a more cheerful palette than orchid, blueberry, and lavender! The deep blueberry is a perfect match for orchid, and a touch of the palest of pink keeps things light and romantic. This board has us dreaming of summer days!

Today’s inspiration board is all about color, color, color! Underpinned by the basics of yellow and black, this palette—inspired by NYC, where I’ll be relocating this month!—adds little bits and bobs of grape, burgundy, and orange for a truly whimsical, modern feel. Glamorous touches, such as a stunning gown, fabulous shoes, and pretty china and flowers, are the key to grounding the theme and keeping things soft and romantic. I envision this chic soiree set at a loft or modern city hotel—how about you?

I couldn’t resist a dash of glam with the gold sequin gown and statement bridesmaids necklace. And my favorite detail? The stunning back on the Mira Zwillinger gown!

I have this love affair with Prussian blue, and today’s board showcases the deepest hue of the color, with an elegant and modern twist. Paired with aged gold, this shade of blue that’s not-quite-navy takes on a new life—the combination is traditional but at the same time unexpected. This palette is perfect for a loft or ballroom wedding, accented by deep wood and a lot of sparkle!

Wine is one of my favorite colors to work with, and today it takes center stage in this modern and chic inspiration board. I have crushed on this velvet bow tie before, but this take on bordeaux draws in as much velvet as possible, the vivid sparkle of gold, and just a hint of sass with striped ribbons, a black cake, and cocktails presented with panache. Love!

We have the prettiest of color palettes to kick off the week, with one of our most-loved hues: rose gold. While the palette is soft and elegant with shades of taupe, blush, and ivory, we’ve paired the neutrals with a pretty pale coral and even added in the smallest dose of winter red for a pop of color—because what girl doesn’t love a gorgeous pair of red heels? Speaking of gorgeous, we are loving Sarah Seven’s Goldie or BHLDN’s Rosecliff Gown for this palette!

Today’s inspiration board is all about romantic, chic sweetness. The softest powder blue and the most sophisticated blush pair perfectly to cultivate a calm and romantic palette. Ruffles, chiffon, and fluffy flowers are anchor elements, and I love the little hint of gilded gold!

Today’s board is all about color, color, and more color! Navy is one of my favorite palette choices, and I love when it’s used in an outdoor wedding. Bold swashes of fuchsia add whimsy, and a subtle hint of lavender softens up the deep hues. So fresh and fun!

Soft and pretty, there’s no palette that speaks winter elegance so much so as blush and silver! We’ve paired blush (with just a hint of mauve), barely-there notes of butter yellow, and a delicate silver that is a shimmery cross between glass and dove. The result is a sweet and simple winter color story befitting any romantic bride!

Chicago had one of my favorite types of weekends—these cold, clear, sunny days are making me excited for the upcoming winter! In honor of these beautiful days, I was inspired to create a winter white board, accented by wisps of antique gold, a hint of blush, and crisp green. Winter weddings are some of my favorites, especially in shades of white!

Oh how I love gorgeous grayed jade! Romantic and feminine without being frilly, elegant and classic without being stuffy, it’s the perfect seasonless hue! Today, I’ve paired the beautiful shade with a fresh green, and I’m just loving the look for spring. How about you?
