Colorful Outdoor Wedding In Carmel

The best part of weaving elegant wedding details into a rustic setting is the sophistication of the combo, and that’s why we adore Jennifer and Barry’s Palm Springs affair! The Historic Cree Estate is a romantic spot for an outdoor ceremony and reception. Tend Living mixed branch elements and curly willow into bouquets wrapped with lace that really pop against the peach bridesmaids dresses Jennifer chose. We especially love the nature-inspired flower arrangement thoughtfully placed next to a classic cake from Over the Rainbow Cupcakes. Working with The Bride and I, Jennifer and Barry planned a stunning reception, complete with long tables topped with burlap and lace accents, and uber-chic gold china and flatware. Of course, the stars of the day were Jennifer, in her appliqued strapless St. Patrick gown—simply breathtaking—and Barry, so dapper in his tux! We can’t decide what part of Natalia and Cody’s wedding is our favorite: the cotton candy-colored bridesmaids dresses, the outdoor setting of Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, California, or the punches of pastel color in the hydrangeas and roses from Floral Design by Reina. Everything is so effortlessly sophisticated! Of course, Natalia’s Badgley Mischka gown is amazing, with lace and beading details on the skirt, bodice, and even sleeves. We’re also fond of Cody’s classic gray suit from Nordstrom, with a peach tie that complements the color scheme of the day, pulled together perfectly by Tres Fabu Event Planning and Design. More rustic details, like the birch and floral arbor and barnlike setting of the reception—where a cake from Parker-Lusseau Pastries & Cafe holds court—keep everything fairly low-key. Josselyn Peterson captured all of the lovely details of this pretty occasion!

Sonoma Valley weddings are one of the few guarantees in life: always breathtaking! Kristy and Charles chose B.R. Cohn Winery & Olive Oil Company in Glen Ellen for their festivities, and they got a picture-perfect day, which shows clearly in the images from photographer Julie Mikos. The short, salmon-colored lace bridesmaids dresses—custom made by Eileen West—are sweet and romantic paired with small bouquets of dahlias, parrot tulips and small succulents from PoppyStone Floral Couture. Olive topiaries placed at the ceremony site and on reception tables gave a nod to the vineyard locale. Kristy’s simple but fabulous Romona Keveza Collection gown complemented the surroundings as well, a timeless but statement-making strapless dress topped with a Swarovski Crystal necklace that’s fit for Cinderella! Meritage Catering took care of all the delicious details, including a small cake topped with the most adorable bride, groom and dog we’ve ever seen—the perfect ending to a fairy tale day!

Cheyenne and John’s lovely wedding at The Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley, California, is an earthy but elegant interpretation of the local scenery, with garden florals by Studio Choo and a ceremony beneath a canopy of lush green trees. Continuing with the bohemian spirit of the day, Cheyenne’s matron of honor and solo bridesmaid chose their own dresses from J.Crew and Free People, while Cheyenne stunned in a column-style lace gown from Atelier des Modistes. We love the green garland details on Cheyenne and John’s stationery from Painted Tongue Studios and menu cards from Fairmount Creates, which ties in with the rustic look of the venue. Events by Satra helped the couple coordinate the day, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Organic touches like seed packet favors and loose arrangements in gold and green reinforced the laid-back elegance of the affair, creating a cozy ambience. Oh, we do love a playful theme around here, and Valerie and Michael’s wedding doesn’t disappoint! We love these happy images from Alders Photography, especially the ones centered around the Ferris wheel and oversize balloons! We also adore the drama of strands of lights hanging from the trees during the couple’s outdoor ceremony at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. Mulberry Row weaved together arrangements of pink and green flowers dotted with succulents for a slightly rustic feel, and bridesmaids wore sweet pink dresses by Bill Levkoff that complemented the florals. Valerie stunned in a St. Patrick gown from Karoza Bridal. Continuing the carnival theme at the reception, the couple opted for fun touches like popcorn and a cotton candy cart from Dolly’s Sweet Dreams Cotton Candy, along with a simple cake from Nikol Nakamura. Candice and Jonathan’s Santa Ynez, California, wedding is such a breath of fresh air! The Gainey Vineyard is a gorgeous yet laid-back locale for an outdoor affair, and nothing about this day disappoints! Abany Bauer Styling + Flowers crafted the blooms and other details of the day, including the lush green garland draped around wooden ceremony chairs and arrangements placed on long reception tables. Candice stuns in her Claire Pettibone gown with vintage lace cap sleeves, while her bridesmaids chose individual dresses in the same color palette. We just adore the springy peach and pink tones and floral theme running throughout Laura and Marcus’s wedding in Horseshoe Bend, Texas! Rustic elements like succulents and wooden crates mixed with peach and pink florals and mercury glass vases, all from Petal Pushers, transformed the Escondido Golf & Lake Club into a garden wonderland for the entire affair. With help from DFW Events Event Planning & Design, the couple got the laid-back, sophisticated vibe they wanted. The shot of sky blue in Jenny Yoo Collection bridesmaids dresses is gorgeous with peach bouquets, and Laura’s lace Monique Lhuillier gown is just to die for! Earthy elements like green moss ground the flowery elements and keep them from being too whimsical, and more peach flowers grace the classic cake from Coco Paloma Desserts. When she pictured her wedding with Eric, Jodi envisioned rustic elegance—a blend of wood, lace and a touch of sparkle that would make a lasting impression on their guests. With Southern California’s elegant Walnut Grove ranch as their backdrop, the couple took on a multitude of do-it-yourself endeavors, as well as spent hours scouring Etsy for the perfect invitations, programs and favors. “I poured my heart into every little detail, and it ended up just how I had imagined it.,” the bride says. We’re head-over-heels for every detail ourselves, from the wooden centerpiece boxes etched with the couple’s initials to the pastel blooms that florist Regina Robertson arranged in each box. And those cakes! This couple had not one but three incredible, delectable whipped creations from Cindy Harber. We can only imagine they were as delicious as they look!

Twin Peaks Ranch was the setting for this rustic, elegant affair, captured to perfection by Erin Hearts Court. This Southern California fete is a 2012 favorite of the photographers’ and after viewing the jaw-dropping details, coordinated by Bash, Please, it’s one of our favorites, too! The soft, flowing floral arrangements—also designed by Bash, Please—are oh-so-romantic, while the al fresco lounge made of chic furniture pieces from Found Vintage Rentals has seriously stolen our hearts! We love the sweet-and-simple menu scrolled across a mirror, and are falling for the bridesmaids’ soft grey dresses from J.Crew. We know it’s hard to pick—but do you have a favorite detail from this gorgeous wedding?

There is something so effortlessly elegant about Laurie and Michael’s sun-washed wedding on the grounds of the gorgeous The Villa of San Juan Capistrano. Could that be because the bride is a Newport Beach, California interior designer?! Laurie put her skills to work for her wedding, envisioning a vibrant, French-inspired affair complete with the happiest floral arrangements by Floral Occasions. From casually color-coordinated bridesmaids dresses to burlap-wrapped water bottles, we’re in love with every single detail that Troy Grover Photographers captured!

Patrice and Nick met in one of the most unique ways we’ve heard of: the pair were production assistants on former TV sitcom “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. They started out as friends and their relationship bloomed from there, ultimately with an inventive engagement proposal that involved Patrice’s boss (read more below about that fun tale). They wanted a wedding that drew in their love for California, Patrice’s Filipino heritage, and an overwhelming elegance and thoughtfulness. Sabine Scherer Photography captured their wedding, from the stunning ceremony at Patrice’s family church, St. Dominic Catholic Church to their Bently Reserve reception. Their reception venue is hailed for its opulence, so to add balance, Mango Muse Events and Violetta Flowers pulled in live trees, organic asymmetrical elements and garlands, and added meaningful orchids and roses (as an homage to family that had passed on). Of course, fun had to be had, so to kick off their reception, the newlyweds partnered up to do a medley dance that ended with hip hop. We love all of the injections of Patrice and Nick’s fun personalities and fascinating lives all throughout their big day.

New Orleans may be our most charming of cities, and Katie and Daniel’s wedding in The Big Easy is full of pure, simple elegance. Held at The Arbor Room at Popp Fountain, their March nuptials were set under clear blue skies fountainside, with a reception in the open, airy atrium. Poppy and Mint created gorgeous lush florals in shades of peach, yellow, pink, and coral. We’re especially in love with Katie’s gorgeous bouquet, its pastel tones a perfect match for her lace Maggie Sottero gown from Love Couture Bridal. Sweet Southern traditions abound, from a quintessential New Orleans Second Line dance to cake pulls in the pretty layered confection from Haydels Bakery. Matoli Keely Photography captured the images of the day with her usual magic—we know you will fall head over heels in love!

Roaring Fork Club is a perfect backdrop for Colorado’s mix of rustic elegance, and Alix and Fabrizio worked with the dream team of Stephanie of Lalé Floral Design and Virginia of Bluebird Productions to bring their vision to life. A late March date brought warmer weather to the ski slopes, and a perfect opportunity for the couple to introduce their guests to their new hometown. After a simple but meaningful ceremony, guests were ushered into the lodge, where they were greeted with arrangements befitting the changing seasons: deep fuchsia blooms with pops of marigold, luscious greenery, and pomegranates at each place setting. But our favorite detail has to be the incredible, colorful bouquet! We adore each of the beautiful images from Alison Vagnini!

Hyemi and Chris wanted their wedding weekend to be a “laid-back, rustic-chic affair,” so the most important item on their checklist was choosing a venue that would set that tone. “We chose a perfect, beautiful, peaceful spot—Red Corral Ranch—in the Texas Hill Country, which is the area where we got engaged,” says Hyemi. The ceremony was held beneath a branch arch festooned with lush peach and cream garden rose blooms from Wild Poppy Floral and Event Design. The couple called upon Christina Lewis of Wedding Warriors to handle the day-of coordination, which also included vintage touches from Bee Lavish Vintage Rentals. Bridesmaids wore peach J.Crew dresses with classic pleated skirts. Hyemi opted for a embroidered lace Enzoani gown in a column silhouette that is stunning! After a tractor ride to the red barn reception site, the bridal party joined guests inside, where elegant rustic details like burlap linens, twinkle lights, and a sweet buttercream cake from Sugar Shack Bakery completed the scene. Alexa and Virgil fell in love with the Tuscan style of Villa del Sol d’Oro in Sierra Madre, California, which was the charming backdrop of their romantic outdoor wedding. Allowing the venue and the spring season to serve as inspiration, they worked with Blushing Romance to create chic florals that enhanced the surroundings. Lush peonies, ranunculus, and anemones combined with dusty miller are soft and lovely; we love the light pinks paired with black bridesmaids dresses and romantic hair styles by Raluca Bucse. Alexa’s stunning Saison Blanche Couture gown from Mary Me Bridal is slightly modern, with a shirred tulle skirt that is simply divine! Alexa and Virgil remember the entire affair as the perfect day. “The atmosphere was phenomenal!” says the bride. “Everything went so smoothly that day, we were fully enjoying our wedding and soaking in very happy moment.” We are head over heels for these gorgeous images from Diana Marie Photography!

The always elegant setting of Beaulieu Garden in Rutherford, California, proved to be the perfect location for Danielle and Tomas’s Napa Valley wedding. From the outdoor ceremony to the reception held beneath weaving grapevines and crystal chandeliers, the rule of the day was simplicity. Classic ivory, pink, and blush florals by Cherries were lush while the monochromatic scheme kept them understated. Stunning outdoor surroundings frame this affair, with a rustic chapel setting the stage for a ceremony filled with cowboy hats and boots, plaid kilts, and spring florals in yellows and greens from Tara Bella Floral Design. DJ’s elegant lace Anne Barge gown is a gorgeous contrast to the earthy elements and her personalized boots from M.L. Leddy’s. From the story told in these images from Blue Rose Photography, Ariel and Collin couldn’t have chosen a more perfect, light-drenched place for their wedding than Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop, Washington! The mountains in the backdrop are majestic and gorgeous partnered with the mossy orange and gold fall florals from Patti Bosket Au Naturel, especially the wreaths hanging on freestanding doors that “open” up to the ceremony.
