Peach + Green Garden Wedding

Nothing says fairytale like a castle, and that’s exactly what Daryl and Larry got when they chose Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York, for their wedding celebration! Elegant ombre details like taupe and brown shades on Amsale bridesmaids dresses gave way to gorgeous orange and green fall flowers from Rebecca Shepherd Floral Design, giving the entire affair a crisp, seasonal look. Daryl looked as stunning as a princess in a lacy Monique Lhuillier gown from Wedding Salon of Manhasset, and we’re particularly swooning over her gold glitter J.Crew sandals! We love the way Betsi Ewing Studio and second photography team Alexis June Weddings captured the dreamy details! Touches of gold and more lush florals at the reception inside the castle are taking our breath away—we are absolutely in love with all of the gorgeous details in the gallery!

Stella and Tim’s Rochester, Minnesota, wedding is filled with romance and charm, and the sweet details shine through in these sweet images from Laura Ivanova Photography! Tim’s parents officiated the outdoor ceremony at Mayowood Stone Barn, where Stella and Tim stood beneath a canopy of trees to recite their vows. Stella’s bridesmaids wore some of our favorite bridesmaids dresses ever—elegant and chic gold halter-style dresses by French Connection. Stella’s gorgeous appliqued gown from BHLDN is simple but stunning, complemented by the roses and anemones in her bouquet by Summer Harsh Botanical Artistry. Inside the stone and brick reception site, slightly rustic peach and cream décor is a pretty backdrop for lunch and a cake dessert table featuring confections from Cakes by Jan. Thanks to Jennifer Dunwell Orton of Premier Planning Services, not a single detail was overlooked in this lovely affair! Ooh and aah over all of the gorgeous images in the gallery!

Rachel and Austen weren’t afraid to have a little fun with their colorful outdoor wedding, incorporating creative details into a classic affair at Laguna Gloria in Austin. Some of our favorite Lonestar photographers, The Nichols, captured this whimsical day that was filled with bold wildflowers from Verbena Floral Design and rustic but sophisticated touches by Beth Walker of 36th Street Events. We love the nod to mod in the letterpress programs and also in Rachel’s snakeskin shoes by Pour La Victoire. Her lace Romona Keveza gown from Blush Bridal Lounge and vintage jewelry was a gorgeous contrast to the blush bridesmaids dresses. We are absolutely swooning over the polished aqua vintage convertible from Vintage Rides that Rachel and Austen used as their getaway car—the perfect punchy ending to a great day! Elise and Michael’s wedding showcases the stunning city of Chicago almost as well as it illustrates their love for each other! An interfaith ceremony at Old St. Patrick’s Church brought together both families’ traditions, and their Chicago Cultural Center reception—planned and designed by Beth Bernstein of SQN Events—is the epitome of classic sophistication. The stunning Preston Bradley Hall, with its ornate dome and stately marbled walls, was the perfect backdrop for a reception featuring elegant calligraphy details, centerpieces of greenery, candles, and soft white blooms from Flora, and a rocking party set to the tunes of Matt Lewis and The Union. Each and every image from Olivia Leigh Photographie is perfection!

Diane and Brendan’s fancy summer garden party is the perfect mix of preppy and classic, and the couple peppered sweet details throughout the day to make their celebration uniquely personal. Diane’s grandmother’s family china not only graced the tables, but its beautiful toile pattern was also carried throughout the day, from the invitations by Alissa Bell Press to bow ties and shoes. In lieu of a traditional wedding party, a little flock of “flower kids” joined the couple for their backyard ceremony, for which Brendan composed the processional. Diane and her mother truly brought the event to life: they custom-cut the table runners, rubber-stamped confetti bags, handmade the pups’ bow ties, and even hand-painted a toile pattern on Diane’s shoes! We love the touch of thistle in the blooms from Mindy Rosenberg Design, and are simply head over heels for these images from Diana Marie Photography!

You know when two wedding photographers are getting married, it’s bound to be spectacular! And such is Sarah and Matt‘s magical affair at Salvage One. The industrial, whimsical locale was perfect for pastel florals from Fleur, romantic candlelight, and vintage decor from BHLDN. We adore their invites, elegant but fun with silhouettes, from Love vs. Design. Sarah said no to traditional bridesmaids and matching dresses, and instead focused on a gorgeous classic gown from J.Crew for herself paired with glittery Kate Spade shoes. Special touches at the event, coordinated by Liven It Up Events, included desserts from Molly’s Cupcakes, mini burgers from The Slide Ride food truck, and custom cloth napkins by Dot & Army. We’re swooning over the amazing images by Pen / Carlson and we know you’ll agree that it’s one of our favorites of 2013!

Allie and Bryce love their Virginia heritage, and their wedding vision was centered first and foremost around Allie’s dream of being married at Tuckahoe Plantation. Their classic Southern soiree feels traditional and timeless but not at all stuffy! A fresh color palette of shades of purple and green echo the lush surrounding gardens, while touches such as black and white striped grosgrain ribbons add a modern twist. Whitehouse Flowers incorporated peonies into the arrangements as the couple’s own garden is filled with peonies replanted from each of their grandparents’ gardens. In keeping with the Southern theme, they opted for a classic buttercream cake with a cascade of lilac hydrangea. Special touches abound, from oyster shell escort cards to a fabulous custom monogram crest – each moment captured by Sarah Jane Winter Photography is so special and joyous and we’re in love!

Emily, a Londoner, met Kaleb when his career took him to Surrey for a year’s work placement. As he returned to the US, their time apart was miserable. Before even their first scheduled visit, Kaleb knew Emily was the one and traveled back to London for a surprise proposal. Naturally she said yes, and their fairytale romance inspired their London-meets-Charleston wedding: their theme? Southern charm meets English rose. A ceremony at the stunning French Huguenot Church gave way to a reception at the Legare Waring House where Tiger Lily created a whimsical and unique atmosphere with painted gold pineapples and mini champagne bottle place cards for the ladies and kALEb home-brewed beer for the gents set amongst greenery garland centerpieces. Kaleb and his groomsmen wore mixed socks of American and UK flags, the perfect symbol of a perfect pairing. We’re head over heels for the beautiful images captured by Catherine Ann Photography!

Boston’s Lenox Hotel is a historic boutique hotel in the heart of downtown, and Elizabeth and Michael’s vintage theme was a perfect complement to the graceful architecture of the venue. A color palette of soft petal pink, peach, and gold was brought to life with gorgeous florals by Table and Tulip. Elizabeth’s bouquet of gorgeous peach amaryllis, ranunculus, hydrangea, roses, and tulips may be one of our favorites in recent memory! Set against a lace Pronovias gown, the look is absolute perfection. Whimsical details filled the day, from the single bud flower curtain to the rose petal lined ceremony aisle, and the Boston summer weather could not have been more lovely. Erin and David selected the elegant Belmond El Encanto in Santa Barbara for their July nuptials. Erin was inspired by the idea of a Southern garden—lush, lively, and romantic—and worked with Precious & Blooming to craft a “perfectly imperfect” feel, mixing white, ivory, and light gold blooms, surrounded by swaths of greenery. After a showstopping ceremony set around the lily pond with a dramatic altar draped with fabric and dressed with greenery, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with “Babes and Bombers” cocktails (a nod to their softball team) and a Polaroid guest book, before moving inside the ballroom for the reception, where they danced the night away to the tunes of Gold Standard. Erin shares “The end of the night was one of my favorite memories. There was a grand piano in our venue and our best man, Matthew Walker, started playing. Everyone gathered around and sang along with him to “Rocket Man” while I sat on the piano, straight out of an old movie. At the top of the chorus, everyone would through petals in the air, making the most incredible smelling confetti.” We are smitten with every gorgeous image from Jillian Rose Photography!

Rachel and Charlie’s Wisconsin wedding is the epitome of relaxed elegance. The only wedding ever to be held at Door County’s historical Horseshoe Bay Farms did not disappoint, as the couple worked with Carrie of Door County Event Planners to perfectly blend the grand property’s charming setting with a show-stopping reception tent for a magical result. After a waterside ceremony, guests were greeted with champagne-filled glasses for their short walk to the farm, and Rachel and Charlie embraced each guest as they entered cocktail hour under a stunning, larger than life canopy created by Flora Flowershop. The classic Sperry reception tent was filled with a sea of paper lanterns and a mix of unique tabletops, from farmhouse tables to rounds, each with a different centerpiece. A perfect Door County sunset and the glow of the tent illuminated the barns, resulting in a marvelous scene not likely to be forgotten. Dana and Donte may just be the most picture-perfect couple, and their intimate, backyard wedding under the warm Texas sky has us spellbound! The couple searched high and low for their perfect venue and luckily found a Spanish Mission as a rental home, and the rest, as they say, is history! Though bringing in each and every item for a wedding is a daunting task, Wedfully Yours (where the bride is a lead coordinator) worked tirelessly to make this Big Day perfect. Donte and Dana met in high school and became inseparable after reconnecting two years ago. Dana shares “My mom said I always thought she didn’t like him, but really, she didn’t like that I was so crazy about him. I’d completely lose my mind from the excitement!” Their story—along with Dana’s new not-for-profit business dedicated to hiring people who have fallen into homelessness— touched the heart of Brittany Lauren Photography when we held a wedding photography contest here on EAD earlier this year, and it’s easy to see why. We can’t help but fall in love with this couple, whose love and affection for each other shine through in absolutely every moment. We know you will feel the same!

The setting for Allison and Sharif’s wedding could not have been more picturesque! Tucson’s Arizona Inn, with its charming courtyard and spacious ballroom was the perfect choice for their colorful and intimate soiree. Infusing a personal touch into their ceremony, the couple were married by Sharif’s sister, who was ordained for the occasion, and they wrote the entire ceremony themselves! Allison paired her Tara Keely gown from J Bridal Boutique with the veil handmade by her grandmother for her mother’s wedding. Allison and Sharif worked with Lindsay Bishop Events to bring their intimate, organic and fun vision to life, with a punchy color palette in shades of peach and orange. Posh Petals created bouquets and centerpieces of garden roses, roses, seeded eucalyptus, and ranunculus, and added a show-stopping orange and greenery garland to the display of multiple small cakes from Sugar Song Cakes. Jared and Lauren’s wedding was a self-described “giant garden party” at the stunning Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Though the Florida weather can be temperamental, the couple was greeted with gorgeous, sunny skies for their outdoor soiree. Jared is Jewish and Lauren Latin Catholic, so their ceremony—officiated by Lauren’s Godparents—was entirely customized to include traditions from both. The couple said their vows beneath a beautiful chuppah from Ever After Floral Design, played Ave Maria during the mantilla ritual, and broke the glass before their first kiss. The whimsical reception featured an eclectic seating area with settees and chairs from The Salvage Snob, a honey cake with rosewater buttercream frosting from Bake Bar, and a bourbon bar and cigar roller, a must-have in Cuban culture. Rachel and Jacob’s vision was “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and, with a lot of love and a fabulous team of wedding pros, their wedding at Garrison, New York’s Highlands Country Club brought that dream to life! As English teachers, the couple named each reception table after a favorite book. Rachel’s stepmother, Gina Palmer, created illustrations and graphics for all of the stationery, table cards, and menus. Bernadette from The River Garden created romantic and natural florals—with olive leaf, peonies, snapdragons, anemones, and roses—to truly transform the space into a veritable indoor garden! Vero Beach’s Quail Valley River Club sits along the Indian River and made for a picturesque setting for Kim and Drew’s Florida wedding! With a fresh color palette of ivory, green, and gold, their wedding was equal parts waterside preppy and clean-and-classic! The couple both grew up in Vero Beach, but didn’t connect until they were living in NYC, so celebrating at home in Florida with both their Florida and NYC friends and family was special. Kim, her best friend Jen, and her mother-in-law Glen (an artist) worked together to create the stationery, with a laurel wreath emblem hand-painted by Glen, who also created the husband and wife chair signs for the reception. The chic and modern aesthetic of the day carried through to the fashion, and we are head over heels for Kim’s bridal ensemble of Karen Willis Holmes separates, Alexis Bittar earrings, and relaxed waves styled by Haute Dry. Ivory J.Crew and Amsale frocks for the maids were accented with bouquets of lisianthus, astilbe, rose, and greenery from Lara’s Theme. Not to be outdone, Drew donned a navy suit from Combatant Gentlemen and bow tie from Fox & Brie. Prepare to be transported to paradise in the beautiful images from Charlie Juliet Photography!

Karen and Joe celebrated their intimate and joyous wedding at Natirar, a historical estate tucked away in the hills of Somerset County, New Jersey. Their was a celebration of lifelong love, after meeting each other in kindergarten and growing up as best friends! With an intimate guest list—the couple considered everyone who attended to be family—Karen and Joe were able to focus on the small details to make it as personal as possible, and truly symbolize the joining of their two families. The wedding was truly a labor of love as Karen handmade the programs, menus, signage, and labels for the Villa Rose Wine favors! Bedminster Florist created gorgeous arrangements for the reception’s estate table and an lush bouquet in shades of red and pink to complement Karen’s stunning Oleg Cassini gown. As always, each and every image from one of our favorite ladies, Brandi of Alexis June Weddings, is flawless! We know you’ll be smitten!

Rebecca and Cory were married on a spectacular August day at the Wentworth By The Sea Country Club in Rye, New Hampshire. The couple selected a pretty, neutral palette of cream, gold, and blush, and after a ceremony along the water, moved inside the nearby reception tent for an evening of celebration with their nearest and dearest. Inspired by the waterside setting, the couple incorporated subtle seaside details into their wedding, including adorable oyster shell place cards with calligraphy by Honey Honey Calligraphy. Flower Kiosk created a mix of garland and traditional centerpieces with soft hydrangea and roses, and our favorite detail may just be the romantic swaths of greenery on the bride and groom’s chairs! The I Do Scene made sure that the day was more perfect than Rebecca and Cory could ever hope for, and every detail came together to create a day they will never forget. There’s so much style and whimsy pouring out of every single moment of Megan and Bobby’s wedding! The couple selected a private estate in Santa Barbara as their venue, which the homeowner has aptly named “Villa della Famiglia”, and the unique, family-oriented charm was carried through in the decor, which was a colorful extension of the Italian villa feel. Megan designed the day to be a reflection of them as a couple: intimate, fun, and full of so much love. Her vision for the flowers was “bright, beautiful, and free-spirited” and Jenn Sanchez Design delivered in spades! From lush coral peonies to purple alliums, the colorful blooms lit up the tables on the estate’s grounds and paired beautifully with the intermixed fresh fruits. Megan hand-painted all of the signage and along with one of her bridesmaids, Rachel, all of the votive holders, as well as creating the honey jar favors. Not a detail was left unfinished, right down to the on-trend naked cake from Frost It Cupcakery! When asked about the day, there was no doubt that sharing their vows and emptying their hearts to each other surrounded by their dearest family and friends was the most unforgettable moment, followed closely by walking down the aisle to “Your Hand in Mind” by Explosions in the Sky, which reminded them of peaceful moments together stargazing. We are absolutely charmed by Jessica and Will’s pretty Maryland wedding. Theirs was an intimate and relaxed affair, with classic touches and a graceful garden setting at Strong Mansion. Everyone who plans an outdoor wedding envisions picture-perfect weather, and several days before, the couple had made peace with having a rainy wedding day. But imagine their delight when on the day of the wedding, the rain ceased just in the nick of time, allowing for their outdoor ceremony! Their non-traditional vows included the best man acting as the officiant and a special surprise for Jessica, as Will surprised her with a recorded version of “She’s Got a Way” for her walk down the aisle, featuring him as the vocalist and her father playing the piano. Pretty peach and blue centerpieces from Love Blooms peppered the reception tent and everyone danced the night away to the tunes of  DC Fusion (including rocking the togas for “Shout”!) We adore every beautiful image from one of our favorites, Michael and Carina!
