Chic Blue + Cream Wedding

Clary Pfeiffer is behind the lens of so many of our favorite weddings, and when her photographic genius is paired with the talented Brit Stewart Weddings, magic happens! Kim and Andrew’s St. Louis wedding at World’s Fair Pavilion is just that magic, with the most lovely garden feel! Sisters Flowers incorporated the couple’s color palette of pinks, soft greens, and pale purples into the lush, romantic florals – I absolutely adore the beautiful textures in Kim’s bouquet! The black linens and chairs added even more elegance and sophistication to an already gorgeous wedding venue. Guests celebrated with the newlyweds while watching the sun set and the fabulous Clary Photo captured the whole beautiful day!

Lovely is the only word that comes close to adequately describing Laura and Kevin’s St. Louis wedding at Coronado Ballroom. Soft pastel blooms such as roses and hydrangeas by Tina Barerra of The Special Event Florist created a romantic atmosphere at the ceremony and reception. Simply and Forever helped Laura and Kevin plan the day, which the couple wanted to be “classy, elegant, and full of personality.” The gorgeous coral color of Laura’s single bridesmaid dress from Amsale is statement-making simplicity at its finest. Along with her column-style Monique Lhuillier gown, Laura carried a hand-tied bouquet of garden roses, mini calla lilies, spray roses, and ranunculus. We love the unique touches woven into the reception, too, like circular dinner menus from Two Blue Doors and a simple cake with a classic monogram, provided by the Coronado. Lauren and AJ’s elegant Nashville wedding was an old-school Southern affair that started with a ceremony at the beautiful Cathedral of the Incarnation. Soft taupe bridesmaids dresses played backdrop to hydrangea, lily, and magnolia leaf bouquets by OSHi International Floral Decor Studio. Lauren walked down the aisle in a strapless Justin Alexander gown from Sweet Elegance Bridal. After the traditional Catholic ceremony, guests headed to downtown’s The Hermitage Hotel, where classic green and cream florals and warm wood decor welcomed. Events by Janie helped coordinate the soiree, which featured balsa wood airplane place cards, a nod to AJ’s Air Force career, and an amazing cake from Dessert Designs. Jacquelyn and Ryan’s wedding wasn’t just timeless and elegant. It was filled with personalized details that gave a nod to the couple’s relationship, and Clary Photo was there to capture every precious detail. The bride asked The Rebel Florist to fill bouquets and centerpieces with plush peonies because the park in which Ryan proposed was filled with the blooms. They wed inside the Missouri History Museum, beneath a classic white chuppah. For favors, the couple gave a donation to PAWS in honor of their adopted German Shepherd, Moose—each guest found a picture of the pup and a note from the couple at their place setting!

Clary Pfeiffer captures some of my favorite weddings, and Cari and Jason’s is no exception.  Magical and ethereal, their St Louis wedding at The Chase Park Plaza is the perfect mix of elegant and modern.  Sophisticated calligraphy, a black-tie bridal party, and a beyond gorgeous Kenneth Pool gown bring traditional charm, while the colorful pink and red blooms by Bellifiori set atop blue linens and unique DIY lampshade centerpieces add a fresh and modern touch.  Prepare to fall in love, I know I did!

Kim and Baback’s St. Louis wedding is absolutely enchanting! The couple wanted their wedding to be very classic and elegant, while giving nods to both of their families and cultures. Baback’s Persian culture was represented in the Sofreh Aghd—the traditional Persian wedding table, where each item on the table has a symbolic meaning for the life of the newly-married couple—and their Roman Catholic ceremony at Saint Francis Xavier College Church honored Kim’s family traditions. Kim’s bouquet from Belli Fiori was wrapped with a lace glove from her paternal grandmother’s wedding and decorated with earrings and charms from her maternal grandmother’s wedding. Their reception in The Coronado‘s ballroom featured soft pastel florals of garden roses, hydrangea and ranunculus, and each succulent (which doubled as place cards and favors) was planted by the bride’s mother. Emily and Dan’s Columbus, Ohio, wedding is impossibly classic and sophisticated, with a dreamy palette of ivory, blush, and gold and dramatic pops of navy. The gorgeous St. Mary’s Catholic Church was host to the catholic ceremony, and the ethereal colors continued at the reception, held in the breathtakingly gorgeous The Westin Columbus. Marble floors and gold details created a fairytale space for Emily and Dan; Emily looked like a princess in a CB Couture lace gown, accented by a stunning vintage veil from Vera’s House of Bridals! Bridesmaids wore long navy dresses by  Joielle, but their flowers, like the others, were held to the neutral palette. Flowers on Springtree Lane translated Emily’s vision so that the blooms accented rather than competed with the surroundings. Textured roses on linens by Urquid Linen and the cake by The End Dessert Company were in keeping with the intricate detailing of the décor. Katie and Ryan’s Rochester Hills, Michigan wedding may as well have been set in a faraway European village for all of its breathtaking fairy-tale details. Starting with a ceremony at First Congregational Church of Rochester, where old-world elegance abounds, Katie walked down the aisle in a gown from Le Salon that can only be described as amazing. Her cathedral-length veil featured embroidery that gave the ensemble a vintage feel. A bridal party dressed in black and white added drama to the day. For the reception at Meadow Brook, lush cream and pink flowers from Bellisario Floral and an abundance of white candles set on silver stands created an ethereal atmosphere. One of our favorite details is the classic cake from Sweet and Savory Bake Shop set on an antique gold stand atop gold sequin linens. Simply gorgeous! Amanda and Mike’s big city Chicago wedding portrays a certain sweetness that is both charming and sophisticated! Following a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Josaphat Parish, the couple and their friends and family headed to the gorgeous Chicago History Museum for a night of great food and dancing, thanks to Blue Plate catering and tunes from Matt Lewis and The Union. Amanda says she wouldn’t change a thing about the day, and we can see why! From the lovely ice blue bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaids to her own amazing Tara Keely gown, the attire was simple and elegant. Emilia Jane Photography captured beautiful images—we especially adore the iconic photos with the backdrop of the Chicago skyline! We love the mix of baby’s breath, peach roses, and white peonies in floral designs by Revel Décor, as well as the adorable confection by Amy Beck Cake Design—there’s so much to love, catch it all in the gallery!

Ronda and Jeff’s gorgeous Nashville wedding is the epitome of Southern chic! These two are completely in love—there’s not a single image from Kristyn Hogan where the two aren’t beaming! Sara Fried of Fete Nashville Events & Design helped Ronda and Jeff create the perfect day filled with Southern touches like monograms and lush hydrangeas. The white, purple, and green florals dotted throughout were created by The Enchanted Florist, and they absolutely set the scene for the day. After Ronda and Jeff’s ceremony at Scarritt Bennett, they joined guests for an outdoor cocktail hour and indoor reception at Schermerhorn Symphony Center. We adore the attire of the day, first with the sand-colored bridesmaids dresses by Dessy and classic tuxes for the men, and then Ronda’s breathtaking custom Vera Wang gown. Before a dramatic send-off down the symphony hall steps with sparklers, Ronda and Jeff cut their Dulce Desserts cake, an extra-tall confection accented with more hydrangea blooms. You can never go wrong with a combination of black and white, and that’s only further proved in the details of Whitney and Andrew’s wedding. Their classic church ceremony at Bethany United Church of Christ gave way to a chic black-and-white reception at Architectural Artifacts in Chicago. We are nearly stunned into silence by Whitney’s amazing Vera Wang—especially the detailed bodice and the knot ties down the back—and the equally lovely black bridesmaids dresses, all different based on each lady’s selection. The always wonderful Clary Photo took these breathtaking images that we’re sharing with you today, and we love the small details the most. How fantastic is the wedding of Missy and Tug on The Golden Isles of Georgia? We are stunned speechless by the Tiffany blue bridesmaids dresses and custom gown Missy designed for her label, Lissa Mar, and had made by Erica Angeline—absolutely gorgeous! The traditional ceremony at Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica, on St. Simons Island, was followed by an elegant reception filled with modern touches at Missy’s parents’ home on Sea Island. Drawing inspiration from a chandelier Missy drew for the invitation suite, the reception features a turquoise chandelier hanging in a tent above chandelier-motif chair covers and pillows. Even the cake from Epting Events incorporated the drawing and turquoise color! Flowers from Vine Garden Market were mostly cream and pink and included the signature Southern bloom—lots and lots of lush hydrangeas. The pictures from the always amazing Laura Negri Photography capture every aspect of this perfect day, including Missy and Tug’s first dance on a glass floor laid over the pool! Glamorous and classic, Lauren and Ryan’s Houston wedding had us at hello! After a traditional ceremony at their family church, the couple held an elegant reception at the stunning Crystal Ballroom, where guests enjoyed food from iconic Houston restaurant Sambuca and dessert from Who Made the Cake! Pale pink and ivory rose centerpieces from Special Arrangements complimented the beautiful venue, and Lauren’s bouquet was the perfect accessory for her Cinderella-style gown! This romantic wedding from Clary Photo is one of our absolute favorite weddings of 2012! Alison—in a Lazaro gown with an accordion-pleated skirt—and James held a traditional church ceremony, complete with pale pink and white flowers from Sisters Floral Design Studio, before wowing guests with their beautiful reception. Held at Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel in Missouri, the decor coordinated by Proposing Dreams Weddings—featuring pale blues, pinks, and white—made for an ethereal environment in which to celebrate. The Cakery provided a sweet treat for guests who danced the night away to tunes spun by Rockstar DJs. We love every stunning detail!

Jourdie and Michael shared a small celebration with friends and family in St. Louis’ Missouri Botanical Garden. Clary Photo beautifully captured the wedding’s soft floral décor, from pink peony bouquets to mint julep cups filled with blooms arranged by Wildflowers. The bride even wore soft pink Jimmy Choo heels, which went perfectly with their subtle pink theme! The bridesmaids dark blue dresses were the perfect pop of a deep color. And don’t you adore the signs that dotted the guestbook table? They were handmade by the bride.  We fell in love with the simple elegance of Jourdie and Michael’s wedding and know you will too!

Lauren and Matt’s wedding was classic and elegant with some wonderful Southern details. Gorgeous magnolia leaves were used not only in the floral arrangements but also in the large garland they created which hung over the main doors to the church! I can’t believe that Lauren, her mom, and grandmother created all the florals – a beautiful blend of hydrangea, hypericum berries and roses (I guess it helps that her mother is a florist!). Aren’t the tall magnolia centerpieces incredible? Lauren and Matt had a beautiful wedding, captured just as beautifully by Elizabeth Scott Photography!

She’s a University of South Carolina girl, he’s a Citadel boy, and they both love southern history. This shared interest was a huge inspiration to Katie and James as they planned their Charleston wedding, choosing The Citadel Summerall Chapel for their ceremony then moving afterwards to the third most historic building in the country, The Old Exchange, for their reception. The celebration was impeccably designed by Sara Hosch of Southern Protocol, classically elegant, soft, and romantic, with absolutely gorgeous florals by Branch Design Studio. The images by Paige Winn Photography capture Katie and James’ day beautifully!

Becky and John wanted a classic romantic vibe for their beautiful Columbia, Missouri, wedding, with lots of ivory, cream and blush elements. After choosing her Jim Hjelm gown from The Ultimate Bride, Becky worked with Kent’s Floral Gallery to incorporate her favorite flowers—garden roses, peonies, and hydrangeas—in shades of rich white and creams with hints of peach throughout. Blush bridesmaids dresses by Amsale from Bella Bridesmaids were a lovely complement to the lush and subtle florals, first at the ceremony at Missouri United Methodist Church and then at the romantic reception at Kimball Ballroom. We love the soft colors and sparkle of mercury glass and gold details at the reception, and the incorporation of roses on the cake from Edith Hall Cakes. Just stunning! “We wanted everyone to have a blast, and I really think we pulled that off,” says Becky. Judging from all the prettiness in these images from Heather Roth Fine Art Photography, we have to agree!

We are just loving these images of Ashley and Michael’s New Orleans wedding! The historic feel of the city blended with modern touches and classic details is the perfect combination for a stunning affair! We’re amazed at the breathtaking architecture of St. Louis Cathedral, site of the ceremony, as well as the timeless setting of The Roosevelt New Orleans, where the reception was held. “I wanted a classic and romantic feel for the ceremony and reception,” says Ashley. “My vision was lots of creams and whites in the furniture and flowers with lots of candles and mirrored accents. Our florist, Bahara of Plants N’ Petals, did an absolutely amazing job bringing our vision to life!” Sophisticated black bridesmaids dresses from LulaKate are dramatic, especially beside Ashley’s dazzling Rivini gown with a dramatic scalloped skirt! We just can’t get enough of the bridal party’s amazing ensemble! We love the glam accents at the reception, too, from crystal candelabras to a swiss dot cake by The Roosevelt New Orleans and the bride and groom’s classic NOLA ending: a second line with umbrellas! We love the pretty pastels woven throughout Su and Ray’s outdoor wedding at Promontory Point in Chicago’s Burnham Park. Lush bouquets of pink and cream ranunculus and peonies mixed with dusty miller by Vale of Enna are the perfect complement to romantic coral bridesmaids dresses by Jarlo. Su’s Vera Wang gown is hands-down one of our favorites ever, with a big structured bow taking the focal point of the gown’s front. To celebrate their heritage, Su and Ray incorporated a tea ceremony into the celebrations, and the red dress Su wore to cut the cake from Bridgeport Bakery is simply stunning!
