Dreamy + Romantic French Chateau Wedding

Marie and Peter took romance to the zenith when they planned a Paris destination for their nuptials. This entire affair, photographed by One and Only Paris Photography and Le Secret d’Audrey, looks like a fairy tale, from a ceremony at The American Cathedral in Paris to the reception at Cercle De L’Union Interalliée. Bold pinks and purples in gorgeous blooms by Sol y Flor looked as though they were plucked straight from the French countryside. And we can’t decide what looks more delicious—the stunning couple, the colorful macaroons or the the exquisite dessert from Wedding Cakes Avenue!

We couldn’t think of anything more romantic than a Paris destination wedding and Sayaka and Shaokai’s wedding at the heart-stoppingly gorgeous Shangri-La Hotel is pure magic. The couple reside in Hong Kong, and fell in love while she was living in New York, so it was only fitting that they celebrate with 60 of their nearest and dearest with an intimate soiree with travel-themed details. Sayaka and Shaokai worked with Fete in France to plan their wedding from afar, and Estelle Preston created the gorgeous florals adorning the Shangri-La’s ornate ballroom. Sakaya brought many personal touches to their day, hand-making fascinators for her bridesmaids and personalizing luggage tags as favors. We simply adore the iconic Parisian landmarks and classic elegance in the stunning images from One and Only Paris Photography!

Speechless is the word to describe how we feel about Shannon and Matt’s stunning Chicago wedding! These images from Emilia Jane leave us breathless from beginning to end, starting with the strapless column gown from Manuel Mota for Pronovias that Shannon paired with a long, simple veil from Mira Couture and a headpiece she made herself from a Nadri necklace. Shannon’s modern princess look was topped off with gold platform Brian Atwood shoes. Soft peony and garden rose blooms in pink, peach, and cream by Vale of Enna Flowers created a romantic atmosphere. Custom sequin linens by Ryan Turner of Stemline Creative add a sophisticated shot of glamour, and the centerpiece of the setup–a tinsel chandelier by James McDermott–had the bride swooning most of all. “Everything dazzled all night as the light twinkled off of the tinsel and bounced on to the walls,” says Shannon. Changing out of her gown into a bespoke reception dress by Azeeza, Shannon joined Matt on the dance floor for a non-traditional first dance before cutting into their gold leaf-accented cake by Tipsycakes. We’re in total agreement with Shannon when asked what our favorite part of this beautiful wedding is: all the sparkle!

When you fall in love with your wedding venue, you just know, no matter what your plans originally were. Amanda and Vlad planned for a Colorado wedding, but they never knew what hit them as they stepped foot onto Bella Collina’s stunning grounds in Florida. Reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside, it was love at first sight for the duo and it just jived so well with their romantic wedding vision that we get to fawn over thanks to Kristen Weaver Photography‘s epic photos. The white florals and greenery by Lee James Floral looked resplendent against the venue’s landscape, but no matter how glorious the blooms looked, it just couldn’t compare to Amanda and Vlad looking like a million bucks. They stole the show, for sure!

There is no more breathtaking locale than the City of Lights, and Curtis and Kate’s wedding takes full advantage of the most romantic city in the world. The couple first traveled to Paris in the spring of 2011, and over the years have fallen more deeply in love with its magic. So it was only fitting that they celebrate their marriage accompanied by their closest family and friends at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris. Their intimate, black-tie celebration brought together their love of fashion and food, as well as Paris’ beauty and history, for an utterly exquisite soirée. Working with Loli Events, the couple allowed the lavish interior of the Shangri-La to shine with low, lush, pave-style centerpieces of white and ivory florals, accentuating the golden accents of the ballroom. Kate is an absolute vision in a modern Vera Wang gown and Christian Louboutin heels with custom satin straps and tulle socks. Not a detail was overlooked in her bridal trousseau, right down to the perfect “something blue”, a Lanvin Eiffel Tower clutch! We are absolutely enchanted by each gorgeous image from Charlotte Jenks Lewis!

Olga’s family is from Russia, and Tristan’s is from the UK. They previously lived in Switzerland and currently make their home in Australia. It was only natural that they gather their nearest and dearest, who are scattered throughout the world, for a destination wedding. They selected the picturesque Relais Sant’Uffizio in Piedmont, Italy, and planned a 3-day wedding weekend. After a Great Gatsby inspired welcome party and a relaxed BBQ, their wedding day was a celebration of their love and cultures with a ceremony written by the couple and performed in both English and Russian, the Russian dance troupe Accademia Nazionale di Danza, and the Italian Columbia Oasis Tribute Band. We just adore the personal touches in this lovely wedding from Stefano Santucci!

Lovely is the only word that comes close to adequately describing Laura and Kevin’s St. Louis wedding at Coronado Ballroom. Soft pastel blooms such as roses and hydrangeas by Tina Barerra of The Special Event Florist created a romantic atmosphere at the ceremony and reception. Simply and Forever helped Laura and Kevin plan the day, which the couple wanted to be “classy, elegant, and full of personality.” The gorgeous coral color of Laura’s single bridesmaid dress from Amsale is statement-making simplicity at its finest. Along with her column-style Monique Lhuillier gown, Laura carried a hand-tied bouquet of garden roses, mini calla lilies, spray roses, and ranunculus. We love the unique touches woven into the reception, too, like circular dinner menus from Two Blue Doors and a simple cake with a classic monogram, provided by the Coronado. We have just two more favorite weddings to share from a glorious year of wedding inspiration, and if I am pressed to choose the one that captured the largest piece of my heart, it may just be Jenny and Bevan’s stunning Paris destination wedding from Clary Pfeiffer. Of course, the City of Lights is perhaps the world’s most romantic, but although the backdrop is spectacular, Jenny and Bevan steal the show. Jenny is ethereal in a Vera Wang gown, Angelika Liv lace bolero, and Jimmy Choo heels, and Bevan’s classic Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo is timeless. In fact, their entire soiree at Hotel Le Meurice is one that will be as elegant and lovely on their 50th anniversary as it is today and we are utterly enchanted. Hillary and Michael’s Florida wedding is an absolute breath of fresh air. Boca Bay Pass Club and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church provided unbelievable backdrops for their stunning pink and ivory wedding. Romantic and ruffled peonies were the focus of beautiful bouquets by Designs By Jody and I’m still swooning over their beautiful tented wedding reception right on the beach. There are so many gorgeous photos by Melissa Schollaert Photography from Hillary and Michael’s big day that it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just a few, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy these just as much as I did!

Shauna and Mike’s San Francisco wedding is just about everything I adore: a gorgeous color palette, beautiful florals, vintage cars, letterpressed invites, and a pair of fabulous shoes. Their ceremony was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen – greenery decorated the aisles, chairs, and even the drapes used at the entrance of the aisle! They celebrated their nuptials at the Ferry Plaza Building with beautiful aubergine, rose, and lavender florals by Birch. I love the mixture of fern, fresh lavender, and other unique flowers that were used in the bridesmaids’ bouquets! I’m absolutely gaga over this wedding and all the incredible photos by the amazing Lisa Lefkowitz!

Shared by Meredith Commender of Significant Events of Texas, Lindsay and David’s Dallas wedding is perfectly romantic and elegant!  After a traditional church ceremony, guests gathered at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas’s Arts District for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by an outdoor seated dinner at two beautiful long estate tables under string lights.  I get giddy when I see a gorgeous reception, and I guarantee you that the goosebumps came when I got the first glimpse of Stephen Karlisch‘s images of the amazing setting at the Nasher and the lovely tables with floral by Cebolla Fine Flowers. And let’s not forget Lindsay’s fabulous Manual Mota gown – swoon!

Although Meagan and Christian live and met in Connecticut, the couple made the endearing choice to wed in Christian’s home state of Michigan. Meagan initially had her heart set on a farm wedding, but once she laid her eyes on Planterra, Meagan knew they had found the venue for their November wedding. They kept the color palette in line with the conservatory’s own tropical feel, choosing bridesmaids dresses from Madeline’s Daughter in sage green. Florals like white ranunculus, polo roses, and secret garden roses alongside feather eucalyptus and jasmine vine created an eden for the newlyweds and their guests. Our favorite detail, though, has to be the oversized white balloons added to the tables at the reception. Meagan wanted a unique detail that really stood out and we’re so glad Kelly Sweet Photography was able to capture that and all of the other gorgeous details of this wedding so beautifully!

Sugar, spice, and everything really nice sums up Jamie and Casey’s South Carolina shindig. The Charlotte couple wanted something more quintessentially southern, so they traveled a bit further south into Charleston and fell in love with The Governor Thomas Bennett House. They were spellbound by its classic look; white exterior with black shutters, and its all-in-one manicured garden perfect for the ceremony and reception. This accommodating setup can go with any style or color palette, but we are totally fawning over the soft pastel wedding aesthetic that Ashley Wenz with Boutique Planning made come to life. Reception tables were kept light and airy with dove gray and blush linens from Snyder Rentals. To add some oomph, weathered farmhouse tables sans linens were the ideal complement to add some texture to the space. Before we go on and on, we’re just going to let Ava Moore Photography do the rest of the storytelling about this beautiful day.

We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

Valerie and Ken’s Tower Hill Botanical Garden wedding was like walking into another time. Every corner was filled with gorgeous flowers and art, every detail simple in its elegance. The greenhouses and gardens at Tower Hill inspired the color and style for their wedding. Julie Lapham Designs created arrangements with succulents and airplants, roses, eucalyptus, and anemone, and many of the succulents are now growing in the couple’s home! Seeded paper escort cards doubled as favors, a Jenga game served as the guest book, and colorful tabletops graced the Orangerie. Tina grew up in Hong Kong and Australia, with half of her family in Scotland, and Zac is from Australia. Their close family and friends live all over the world, so what better way to celebrate their union than with a destination wedding in Barcelona, where they were living when Zac proposed? Their vision of an intimate, personal wedding came to life when they found Casa Felix, a Spanish villa in Barcelona’s wine region, with a relaxed, peaceful ambiance. The couple worked with A Spanish Do to create a poolside reception highlighting the stunning locale. They selected a pastel color palette with pops of berry tones and an abundance of greenery, and Paradiso Barcelona designed rich, organic florals to complement the natural beauty of the villa. Amy and Damian’s South Africa wedding is full of the most lovely florals and light, and we’re absolutely smitten. Designed and styled by Joelene of Oh Happy Day, the dusty pink and white palette perfectly showcased the Orchards Wedding Venue, a beautiful venue nestled in the rolling hills of the Caversham Valley. Adore Weddings created spectacular florals of blush and white blooms and greenery, including a suspended greenery ceiling arrangement, organic arm bouquet, gorgeous ceremony arch, and low and lush centerpieces that paired beautifully with silken runners, depression glass chargers, and taper candles. Each design element is thoughtfully curated and woven together to create an elegant and modern look that is also wonderfully relaxed and chic. Amy is resplendent in a sophisticated Casey Jeanne gown, and her maids donned flowing pink dresses from Chanelle Wright. Every moment is so romantic and beautiful that we could gush all day about how in love we are, but we’ll let the fantastic images from Bright Girl Photography tell the story instead!

Boston’s Lenox Hotel is a historic boutique hotel in the heart of downtown, and Elizabeth and Michael’s vintage theme was a perfect complement to the graceful architecture of the venue. A color palette of soft petal pink, peach, and gold was brought to life with gorgeous florals by Table and Tulip. Elizabeth’s bouquet of gorgeous peach amaryllis, ranunculus, hydrangea, roses, and tulips may be one of our favorites in recent memory! Set against a lace Pronovias gown, the look is absolute perfection. Whimsical details filled the day, from the single bud flower curtain to the rose petal lined ceremony aisle, and the Boston summer weather could not have been more lovely.
