Coney Island Engagement Photos

We love a casual, fun-loving engagement shoot, and Chris and Cassi’s Coney Island engagement photos by Jen Huang Photography are fabulous! The cute couple spent a day at the Brooklyn boardwalk playing games, trying out carnival rides, and just generally being in love. The result is adorable photos that show off Cassi and Chris’s personalities. We are completely smitten!

Modern NYC Engagement Session

We are mesmerized by the moody, sophisticated photos from Yoko and Andy’s engagement session. The wonderful Andria Lindquist took these chic images of the couple as they worked their way around Brooklyn and Manhattan. We just love the playfulness of these pictures against the serious New York backdrop!

Dreamy Brooklyn Wedding with Flowing Flowers and Hints of Citrus

Sarah and Scott originally had a large celebration planned, but like many other brides, COVID changed that. In a cautious manner they decided to move forward with their wedding with just their 12 closest family and friends. Despite the small guest count, the design aspect was large. Their outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by banyan trees under the most stunning Chuppah. Reception was followed with the most divine tent with flowing florals and hints of citrus.

Perfectly Pink Fairy-Tale Wedding in Romania

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! The gallery is full of more incredible photos by Ioana Porav Photography, from the stunning rose petal seals on the stationery by Invogue Art, to Sarah’s romantic Milla Nova wedding gown (a nod to her Hispanic roots), to even more photos of their unbelievable florals, and trust us, you absolutely want to see them all!

Flirty + Fun Amusement Park Engagement

We love the playful vibe of Nicole and Oscar’s engagement photos from Coney Island USA! A little bit of romance on the beach, flirting on amusement park rides, and laid-back fun all around makes these images from Cassi Claire just perfect for the couple, who built a relationship around laughter. “We met on my very first day of work at a new job, when he was assigned to do my orientation training. Within only a few minutes, we were cracking each other up, and as our relationship has evolved over the years, silliness and laughter has always been a really big part of it,” says Nicole. That makes their venue choice for the engagement session absolutely perfect. “Every part of it, from playing in the water, to the rides and games, to eating cotton candy that turned our tongues blue, was a blast. The pictures are so us,” says Nicole. We agree completely!

Chic West Village Engagement Session

Sammi and Dan achieved the ultimate in engagement photos during their time around New York’s West Village and Hudson River Park with Lindsay Madden: effortless, romantic images that are chic and classic! With styling expertise from Roey Mizrahi Events, Sammi and Dan walked the city’s side streets and casually picnicked in the park to get these sweet reminders of their engagement. We could not adore Sammi’s red-hot Kate Spade New York dress and that vintage bicycle any more! We hope you enjoy all of the fabulous photos from this day!

We are completely in love with Debbie and Kevin’s fun Huntington Beach engagement session! The California light is simply lovely, and the love that Debbie and Kevin have for each other shines through in every image. We love Debbie’s beautiful cobalt dress paired with Kevin’s dapper navy suit, and their quick change into more relaxed beachy-toned wear, too! Sit back and enjoy all of the beautiful images from Christine Choi Photography!

Casual Urban Engagement Session

Laura and John—fresh from a flight home to Chicago from Istanbul!—spent a day around the West Loop with Julia Franzosa Photography for their casual but hip engagement photos. Navy and green are crisp and vibrant in their images at The Publican and near Fulton Market; monochromatic outfits on abandoned railroad tracks give off an earthy, laid-back vibe. We especially love the cozy, homey feel of the couple sitting on their front steps. Laura and John look so comfortable in these photos, and we just adore their natural smiles and happy faces!

What do you get when two graphic designers head over to the hipster-cool Brooklyn Bridge for engagement photos? An impeccably dressed couple against one of the most iconic backgrounds in NYC! We love the green and navy Grace and Mark paired for some of their images by Arielle Doneson Photography, as well as the graphic polka dots and plaid they wore in photos with their pup while hanging out at DUMBO. We can bet their wedding will be just as stylish as these chic engagement shots!

We can’t think of a better, more romantic spot to be!

Megan and Josh look so sunny and in love in these charming shots from their engagement session with J. Layne Photography! Josh’s purple plaid with Megan’s bright yellow and blue is such a pretty combination in these outdoor photos. Of course, we simply adore vintage touches, and the icy blue bicycle complete with flowers in its wicker basket is almost too much fabulous to handle!

This romantic and intimate editorial shoot is set in a field of wildflowers at the Green Door Gourmet farm in Nashville.  Styled by RSVP Events, the design features hues of pinks, peaches, and yellows, with gold and lilac accents for the perfect romantic summer wedding.  The ceremony setting is a gorgeous floral arbor in the wildflower field, with a table, bar, cake, and a champagne/cocktail cart nearby.

Bright and Elegant Citrus Wedding Inspiration

Dreamy, elegant, and a bit playful, today’s shoot is inspired by a bold and summery citrus-hued palette. Events with Becca designed a tablescape bursting with bright blooms, fresh-cut fruits, and a touch of romance from the beautiful calligraphy by Caitlin O’Bryant Design. The Bloom & Co. mixed florals in bold and buttery shades of yellow, orange, pink, and red, in both the stunning bouquet and centerpiece. Be sure to check out all the amazing photos by Emily Kirsten Photgraphy to see every detail like all the delicious desserts as well as the adorable pup who got all dressed up and joined in on the shoot!

Pink Garden Party Wonderland Wedding

Ellie and Drew traveled from Texas to the beautiful Capen House on Lake Osceola for an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. Pixies and Petals ran with Ellie’s vision of a Lilly Pulitzer-inspired English garden with florals in vibrant shades of peach, raspberry, coral, and fuchsia and created a lush pink garden wonderland in the ceremony and reception space. Along with stunning florals, their day featured 3 different musicians, an epic grazing table, and even a few fun pranks! These photos by Kristen Weaver Photography are guaranteed to brighten your day so be sure to check them all out and read more about the amazing details of their wedding in Ellie’s own words below!

Timeless DC Wedding with Shades of Green

Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

Summer Wedding Inspiration with Berry Tones

We’re dreaming of warmer weather over here, and we have been served some wonderful wedding inspiration on a plate. It’s a unique one for sure, as it features a trés chic wedding gown from Emily Kotarski paired with some muted colors. Cayleigh Hopkins of The Petal Report jazzed up what we typically think of “summer shades” and used deep versions of reds, blues, and purples instead. Enjoy this shoot from Hannah Alyssa Photography to the fullest, especially those florals from Fresh Weddings and Events. That bouquet with the protea front and center is a dream!

Harvest Wedding Inspiration in Washington

When you have a sublime location like Norman Farms ready to utilize at your fingertips, taking advantage of it and all of its natural delights are at the top of the list. Illustrious vendors like Fiona Louise Design and Something Minted had a blast foraging around the massive 28-acre property to beautifully bring this farm-to-table inspired shoot together. The art of table setting was a large inspiration for the day; for shoot designer and venue owner Fiona, welcoming loved ones meant breaking out the nicest wares and florals and setting up a grand table for gathering. For this shoot, an herb bouquet with mint and rosemary, blackberries, quince, pears, and apples were shared fresh from the grounds. A hearty loaf of sourdough bread and golden blossom honey was the centerpiece amidst the taper candles and antiquated English wares. Save a seat for us at this table; we would definitely want to break bread here among friends.

Brooklyn Warehouse Wedding

There simply isn’t one single thing we don’t adore about Jen and Jesse’s modern Brooklyn wedding. Rather than a formal dinner, the couple chose to enjoy a progressive cocktail party with their guests, a perfect mix of formality and casualness. Liberty Warehouse set the perfect scene with its industrial aesthetic. The organic greenery from Violet and Verde highlighted the brick, wood, and metal throughout the venue. As if their locale couldn’t get more breathtaking, Jen’s father created a wooden altar from scratch that, paired with Violet and Verde‘s floral, made an exquisite and personal ceremony backdrop. Jen is a vision in her Blush by Hayley Paige dress from The White Gown and the bridesmaids’ dresses add just the right pop of color. Even their choice of wedding date is perfection—they were married on Loving Day, the anniversary of the overturning of the criminalization of interracial marriage in the US. We know that you’ll join with us in falling head over heels for every sweet moment as captured by Kat Harris Photography!

Aspen Fall Wedding

Courtney and Shawn’s wedding at The Little Nell is pure Colorado magic. Though it snowed the next day, their September wedding could not have fallen on a more gorgeous, sunny day. The couple chose bright fall colors to pop against the lush green mountains and worked with the wonderful Lauryl Lane and Virginia of Bluebird Productions to create a beautiful, warm setting amongst the pines and in the dramatic ballroom. Centerpieces of aspen trees and an assortment of fall blooms (loving those orange tulips!) graced the tables and brought the fall foliage indoors. We adore the laid-back Colorado elegance in the stunning images from James Christianson!

Simple + Chic Backyard Wedding

We adore the relaxed, casual vibe of Meredith and Graham’s summer backyard wedding! With a ceremony at the intimate Smithfield Church and a reception held at Graham’s family’s New York country home just one street away, these two brought all of the comforts of home into their celebration. Meredith is radiant in a demure Lela Rose gown, and we love that although she wore a chic chignon for the ceremony, she let her hair down (literally and figuratively) for the outdoor reception! Bridesmaids in simple white dresses, simple centerpieces of daisies and greenery topiaries, and pretty runners with pops of blue complement the garden setting under the tent. After a family style dinner by , guests danced the night away to John Ragusa Music. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful images from Charlie Juliet!

Annie and Phil’s wedding from Karen Hill Photography is simply gorgeous! We’re drooling over the landscape of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a lush venue just minutes from the bustle of the city. Beautiful bright blooms from Denise Fasanello Flowers complement the surroundings, styled by Toby Ellen Sarna Events. We love the contrast of hot pink details and the pops of citrus green on letterpress ceremony programs and reception linens. Of course, the crown jewel of the day: Annie’s amazing sheared skirt gown, echoed in the ruffles on the beautiful cake! See all of the beautiful botanic details in the gallery!

Fresh + Natural Garden Wedding

We can practically smell the sweet lavender emanating from Erica and Michael’s wedding photos! This couple celebrated their nuptials at The Palm House at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, an idyllic setting for the soft and natural wedding of their dreams. The grounds offered a lush green garden for their outdoor ceremony, fields of lavender for picture-perfect poses and a glass-enclosed ballroom for a reception under the stars. To keep with the fresh and classic theme, bouquets of greenery hung from the back of the guests’ white chivari chairs and voluminous white floral blooms graced the center of tables. Says Erica about her big day, “Brooklyn Botanic Garden was magical, the food and drink plentiful, and the music lively. We had the best day ever and couldn’t have asked for anything more.”  Love surely blossomed during this garden affair, and we thank Kristina Hill for giving us a peek!

Prospect Park Boathouse Wedding

Isobel and Geoffrey met on their very first night of college and were married on their seven year anniversary. With Isobel having always dreamed of a New York City wedding, the couple selected Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Boat House for its architecture, history, and location. A classic color palette of pinks and natural greens was accented by black Jenny Yoo bridesmaids dresses and Isobel’s sleek and stylish Reem Acra gown. The reception glimmered with candlelight and crisp white tables were decorated with long garlands of greenery and roses from Surrounding Flowers. The love between these two shines through in the cinema captured by NST Pictures and the beautiful images from Tracey Krick Photography!

A Brooklyn Oasis: The William Vale

If you follow my Instagram and Insta stories, you’ll know that I recently returned from Bridal Fashion Week in NYC and had the opportunity to spend two fantastic nights at The William Vale in Brooklyn’s most fantastic neighborhood, Williamsburg. When I lived in New York, Williamsburg was always one of my favorite local destinations, so I was incredibly excited to spend some time enjoying the area (wow, how it’s grown!) and relaxing at what I had heard was a spectacular new hotel. And friends, I was absolutely not disappointed. The William Vale has both an undeniable “it factor” and an atmosphere comfy enough that my 37 year-old, decidedly un-hipster self felt right at home. From the moment you step foot on property, the first thing you notice that the building is really a work of art. The architecture is interesting and stands out while blending into the surrounding area, and art installations are everywhere – right down to the elevators! The next thing on your mind is—of course—the rooms, and let me just pause here to say, the rooms at The William Vale are not your normal NYC hotel rooms. They are light, airy, high-tech (chargers for all phone types built into the bedside!), and each room features a private balcony with a simply unbelievable view.
