Rustic + Elegant Fall Wedding

Nothing says fairytale like a castle, and that’s exactly what Daryl and Larry got when they chose Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York, for their wedding celebration! Elegant ombre details like taupe and brown shades on Amsale bridesmaids dresses gave way to gorgeous orange and green fall flowers from Rebecca Shepherd Floral Design, giving the entire affair a crisp, seasonal look. Daryl looked as stunning as a princess in a lacy Monique Lhuillier gown from Wedding Salon of Manhasset, and we’re particularly swooning over her gold glitter J.Crew sandals! We love the way Betsi Ewing Studio and second photography team Alexis June Weddings captured the dreamy details! Touches of gold and more lush florals at the reception inside the castle are taking our breath away—we are absolutely in love with all of the gorgeous details in the gallery!

There is little that’s more stunning than a gold-and-orange hued autumn wedding, and Jenny and Brian’s affair at the Silver Lake Lodge at Deer Valley Resort doesn’t disappoint! Outdoors surrounded by Park City, Utah, mountains, the couple exchanged vows beneath a chuppah. Jenny wore an embroidered Heidi Elnora gown and, while she chose to keep things simple with no bridesmaids, the couple’s lab donned an orange bow tie and stood in for the occasion. Orange roses and calla lilies mixed with yellow and green florals and fall berries by Orchid Dynasty were rich and colorful in Jenny’s bouquet and on reception tables. Fiery blooms graced the cake from Deer Valley Resort, set amidst a gorgeous fall-inspired reception indoors, with flawless decor orchestrated by Soiree Productions. From the story told in these images from Blue Rose Photography, Ariel and Collin couldn’t have chosen a more perfect, light-drenched place for their wedding than Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop, Washington! The mountains in the backdrop are majestic and gorgeous partnered with the mossy orange and gold fall florals from Patti Bosket Au Naturel, especially the wreaths hanging on freestanding doors that “open” up to the ceremony. The rust-orange color repeats on stationery from Carlson Craft. Navy bridesmaids dresses from H&M are a great alternative to black and look fabulous paired with the bold flowers. Sarah and Dave’s Texas wedding had everything you’d expect from the Lone Star State: Cowboy boots, a pickup truck, and plenty of delicious ribs and brisket from The Salt Lick BBQ restaurant. The kick-your-heels-up celebration, held at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, featured lots of the couple’s favorite things, like Round Rock Donuts, vintage motorcycle posters (Sarah and David ride together), and English bulldogs on place cards, a nod to their two dogs. Wedding Warriors balanced lush fall arrangements dotted with pumpkins and autumn leaves with rustic, romantic details like burlap, lace and wood crates. We’re obsessed with the crisp details of the day and those bold garnet bridesmaids dressed from Alvina Valenta—the pictures by Christina Carroll Photography are stunning! Sarah and David sent guests home with seasoning rub and bluebonnet seeds in stamped burlap bags, but not before they tucked into a silky dessert from Miss Janette’s Cakes.

Lauren and Cheyne were married on a picture-perfect Arizona day at the gorgeous Encanterra Golf and Country Club. Their classic outdoor wedding was inspired by the architecture and beautiful surroundings of the venue. A neutral color palette of ivory, champagne, and gold was accented by accents of pale pink and peach, and Jenny Yoo ‘Annabelle’ gowns in a lovely shade of eggplant provided a vibrant pop of color! We adore the beautiful marigold calligraphy escort cards and menus from The Pretty Paperie Shop. Modern centerpieces from Designer Venues dressed the tables, and hand-painted wine bottle table numbers added a personal touch. Each image from Rachel Solomon is breathtaking!

Sarah and Michael’s charming vintage farm wedding, at Silver Buttons Farm in Pipersville, PA, is so full of their personalities. Sarah, a buyer for Anthropologie, and Michael, an architect, put together an impeccably sweet vintage soiree. We love the soft light of these images from the always amazing Love Me Do, especially in the details of cream and plum bouquets by Sullivan Owen, and the intricate detailing of Sarah’s utterly gorgeous Claire Pettibone gown. Gray bridesmaids dresses by Yoana Baraschi matched the misty weather, creating a dramatic effect for the outdoor ceremony. Fun details at the reception fit right in with the quirky barn locale: ombre napkins, wooden place cards, and whimsical florals dot the tables. The mix of elegant and rustic details in Chanda and David’s Dover, Florida, wedding is stunning perfection! The outdoor ceremony, held under trees draped with Spanish moss at Cross Creek Ranch, was filled with the classic touches we love about a garden wedding: ranunculus and spray roses in bouquets by Alta Fleura, mason jars filled with white blooms, and white lanterns hanging from branches. Chanda paired her mother’s antique lace cathedral-length veil with her Demetrios gown. Bridesmaids wore elegant designs from Bill Levkoff. The reception, held outdoors and in a barn on the ranch grounds, featured lots of sheer linens, twinkle lights, and personal touches. We especially love the lace linens and the stacked ruffled look of the icing on the cake from Alessi Bakeries. Delicious! Oh how we adore an elegant New York wedding! Kimberly and John’s sophisticated day started with a ceremony at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine—where Kimberly wore a fabulous feather shrug over her Jenny Packham gown to quell the chill of the January day. Bridesmaids were decked out in convertible dresses by twobirds; Kimberly and her bridesmaids carried colorful, oversize bouquets by Poppies & Posies. The industrial backdrop of The Foundry, where the reception took place, was a nice counterpoint to the formal ceremony. Long tables dotted with votives and lights strung overhead created a romantic vibe for the rest of the evening. And we absolutely love the traveling bride and groom cake topper, a nod to the couple’s overseas meeting and shared hobby. A rain shower on your wedding day is considered good luck, so we expect happy years ahead for Jordan and Joseph after a Southern storm cooled the air just before their outdoor ceremony at RT Lodge in Maryville, Tennessee. The casual, wildflower-style bouquets from Lisa Foster Floral Design looked as though they were plucked right from the woodsy surroundings, and the bride added a playful touch as well, sporting casual and comfortable TOMS beneath her full-skirted Watters gown. We love the laid-back elegance captured in these images shot by Dixie Pixel, as well as the personal touches like signature mojito cocktails and local honey packaged by the bride and her parents as a parting favor for guests. We just can’t imagine a sweeter, more heartfelt affair!

It’s pretty much impossible to look through the photos of Lynn and Stefan’s wedding by Kellie Kano and not immediately feel happier. Lynn knew she had to have yellow flowers because every since she was a little girl the color has always put a smile on her face. Thanks to Hedge Fine Blooms and all the other details in this sweet wedding, we’re now smiling too! Their big day was effortlessly elegant and set to the beautiful backdrop of Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia. Every detail of Lynn and Stefan’s wedding is all about happiness and love so sit back and enjoy!

When Lauren and Sam were dating, they would often ride past a particular house in Gastonia, North Carolina where every time Sam too would comment “that’s my dream house.” It went on for the next 2 1/2 years until after Sam popped the question and the couple decided on an outdoor wedding with Southern Living flair. What better location than their dream home so they went to ask if they could get married in the field outside the barn. The homeowners were delighted!  Speaking of dreams, these gorgeous blooms by Carey Roberts Designs are a dream come true for me! Each and every little detail is so gorgeous and photographed beautifully by Almond Leaf Studios.

A “destination” wedding in Austin, TX, Erica and Josh invited friends from around the globe. Their wedding was filled with handmade details and heirlooms captured by Bonnie Berry Photography. From the veil and headpiece, the seating cards, menus, and the bridesmaids’ necklaces (made by the bride and her sister from their mother’s bead collection), the wedding was a true group project. The biggest heirloom however was Erica’s mother’s dress that she wore for the ceremony. Erica altered it herself, transforming the sleeves from leg-of-mutton to a 3/4 straight sleeve with satin trim. Their whole wedding is beautiful, unfussy, and truly personal. Congratulations Erica and Josh!

Sarah and Scott originally had a large celebration planned, but like many other brides, COVID changed that. In a cautious manner they decided to move forward with their wedding with just their 12 closest family and friends. Despite the small guest count, the design aspect was large. Their outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by banyan trees under the most stunning Chuppah. Reception was followed with the most divine tent with flowing florals and hints of citrus.

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! Holly and Jacob chose the beautiful Grandeur House for their fall wedding and the all-white farmhouse was the perfect backdrop to highlight all of the personal details they chose for their event. Dusty blue tablescapes were warmed by centerpieces from A Pocket Full of Posies in hues of rust, burgundy, and orange, reflecting the fall foliage outside, and Holly’s mother used stained glass from churches hit by Hurricane Katrina to make beautiful glass flowers for the tables. Small magnolia and Japanese red maple trees were even placed in the space for the evening but then brought to the couple’s home to be planted as a memory of their big day! They did an amazing job incorporating family heirlooms into their celebration while also creating new heirlooms and Jessica Brown Photography captured each of those details perfectly!

Located in Charleston’s Cigar Factory, The Cedar Room is an open, airy space with rustic brick and floor to ceiling windows, and its open canvas created a stunning backdrop for Melissa and Ian’s reception! The couple worked with Pure Luxe Bride to design a romantic soiree with glimmering metallic touches and pastel garden-style centerpieces created by Branch Design Studio. Ian proposed to Melissa at Disney World, so subtle Disney elements, such as the castle on their table numbers, were sprinkled throughout. The overall effect is magical and we’re head over heels for the images by Catherine Ann Photography!

Whitney and Matt were married on a picture perfect summer day at Charleston, SC’s historic Boone Hall Plantation. A classic color palette of blush and gold accented the rustic beauty of the location. The front lawn, with its ancient oak trees and ornate gate played host to the ceremony, and the reception on the Cotton Dock was decked out with greenery and lush blooms by Lindsay Bishop Events, with chandeliers and candles adding a touch of sparkle to the natural surroundings. Ruffled LulaKate bridesmaids dresses in peony pink added a fun pop of color and perfectly accented Whitney’s gown from Bridals by Lori. Lake Tahoe was the perfect setting for Kacie and Austin to treat guests to an epic weekend celebration. The mountain destination played host to a Field Day for all ages, a lakeside “Something Blue” rehearsal dinner, and their stunning waterside wedding ceremony amongst the trees at West Shore Cafe & Inn Lake Tahoe. Bello & Blue Events worked with the couple to create a fabulous and colorful reception in shades of magenta and navy, with bold and beautiful flowers by Petal & Thread. Each place setting featured a laser cut place card and a fragrant cymbidium orchid, and lieu of favors, guests received a lovely welcome box including a customized candle with scent chosen by Austin, champagne with an aspen tree straw, and a hand-drawn painted map of Lake Tahoe. There’s so much to love in their gorgeous day, and we’re totally gushing over the images captured by Ether & Smith!

When asked to describe their wedding, Margaux and Mark’s instant sentiment was “heartwarming.” While they certainly filled their day with personal touches—including a custom monogram motif, Mark’s great-grandmother’s cake knives, and a menu hand-scripted by Margaux’s aunt—the wedding festivities, and being surrounded by their nearest and dearest, took center stage. Margaux is resplendent in a Pronovias gown and voluminous veil from Elizabeth Johns. For the cozy reception, Jennie from Love N’ Fresh Flowers created classic, seasonal arrangements in a mix of plum and winter white that accented the gilded ballroom of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey’s Ryland Inn. After a delicious sit-down dinner, guests danced the night away to the tunes of The Silk Band. An unexpected snowstorm the day prior set the stage for a bright and clear first day of spring, the perfect ambiance for each of the gorgeous images from Love Me Do Photography!

Laura and James were married on a lovely summer day at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey. Rolling hills and trees were the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, held alongside the mansion overlooking the golf course, and the natural beauty of the upper lawn set the stage for the cocktail hour. The reception tent featured punchy florals from Jardiniere and cheerful details like the coasters from For Your Party and balloon guest book by Suzy Shoppe.
