Bold + Colorful Texas Wedding

Elizabeth and Robert perfected rustic elegance with their wedding at Camp Lucy, in Dripping Springs outside of Austin, Texas. We just love the sweet, pastel colors against the woodsy venue–gorgeous lush blooms from Bouquets of Austin, pale blush bridesmaids dresses from Monique Lhuillier, and lots of lace on Elizabeth’s Enzoani gown and cathedral veil from Bridal Boutique. We’re drawn to these pretty photos from Photography by Vanessa, especially with details of the tri-fold ceremony programs by Shine Wedding Invitations and a cake by Coco Paloma Desserts festooned with fresh blooms. Elegant rentals from Whim Event Rentals mix with iron pieces from Mancino Iron Rentals, which reinforce the romantic, rustic theme. Says Elizabeth of their “gorgeous” wedding, “We wanted a romantic and intimate hill country wedding. It felt like a perfect Texas weekend.” We couldn’t agree more!

For their nuptials in Austin, Texas, Blaire and Caleb envisioned a day that would be “luxurious without feeling overdone or stuffy” and “comfortable with vintage influence.” Every aspect of this couple’s cozy and romantic wedding is breathtaking – from the lush floral arrangements by Unexpected Elements of sweet peas, ranunculus, roses and orchids, to the baby blue getaway convertible the couple used to leave the celebration at the end of the evening. We love the waterfall of soft pink and orange flowers cascading down the wedding cake from Word of Mouth Catering – this cake is (almost) too pretty to eat! Ronda and Jeff’s gorgeous Nashville wedding is the epitome of Southern chic! These two are completely in love—there’s not a single image from Kristyn Hogan where the two aren’t beaming! Sara Fried of Fete Nashville Events & Design helped Ronda and Jeff create the perfect day filled with Southern touches like monograms and lush hydrangeas. The white, purple, and green florals dotted throughout were created by The Enchanted Florist, and they absolutely set the scene for the day. After Ronda and Jeff’s ceremony at Scarritt Bennett, they joined guests for an outdoor cocktail hour and indoor reception at Schermerhorn Symphony Center. We adore the attire of the day, first with the sand-colored bridesmaids dresses by Dessy and classic tuxes for the men, and then Ronda’s breathtaking custom Vera Wang gown. Before a dramatic send-off down the symphony hall steps with sparklers, Ronda and Jeff cut their Dulce Desserts cake, an extra-tall confection accented with more hydrangea blooms. Elegant. Rustic. Chic. That is how Casey and Austin described their vibrant wedding at the gorgeous Vista West Ranch in beautiful Dripping Strings, TX. The bright blooms by Petal Pushers can’t help but make you smile—and we adore that the bride chose to wrap her arrangements in burlap and birch to give each an added rustic touch. Casey looked beautiful in her all-lace Enzoani gown, and her eight bridesmaids really popped in their cheery yellow dresses. Kristen and Andrew wed beneath a beautiful oak tree on the Barr Mansion’s pristine property in Austin, Texas. “The venue was so naturally beautiful we kept the decor fairly simple using mostly candles and shades of coral and pink flowers,” the bride said. We adore the floral arrangements by Stems Floral Design, which were a mix of peonies, white orchids, mint succulents and pops of magenta accents set atop clear vessels. Taylor Lord Photography captured all the details to perfection, including their adorable cake display!

Emily and Trey were married in Austin, Texas under the trees of the Four Seasons Hotel. They chose a clean and fresh spring palette of yellow and blues with peonies, ranunculus, and even some yellow tulips here and there. The show-stopping orchid centerpieces at the reception are fabulous, and my favorite florals are the hanging arrangements by Petal Pushers that hung at their ceremony. Claire and Evan’s Lexington wedding is full of romantic details and classic Southern touches. Following the ceremony at Central Christian Church, guests walked in a parade, led by a marching band, to The Carrick House for the reception. Neutral tones including cool grays ruled the day, enhanced with pops of eggplant and earthy texture, especially in florals by Jaclyn Journey. Ivory garden roses, gray roses, dusty miller, ranunculus, lavender Amnesia roses, purple scabiosa, eucalyptus, and deep purple foliage accented bouquets carried by bridesmaids, clad in one-shoulder gray dresses, and Claire, who chose an ethereal, romantic gown from Bridal and Formal. Carefully curated details, such as wax seals on mod gray stationery and an award ribbon seating chart that led to miniature gold horse place cards, make this wedding unique. We are head over heels for the soft, elegant touches in Elyse and Matt’s classic DC wedding! Bridesmaids in shades of pale blue and taupe from Twobirds were perfectly complemented by lush blooms created by Katie Martin and her team at Elegance & Simplicity. Oh how we love the fluffy blush dahlias and mauve astilbe! After a traditional ceremony at the Cosmos Club, guests moved to the Fairfax Hotel, where they danced the night away to tunes from Nightsong. Liz and Jason’s elegant wedding completely eschews a modernist LA vibe for pretty pastels and soft touches that shine in these images from Christine Farah Photography! We’re enamored with the airy layers of Liz’s bridal gown, paired with delicate pearl jewelry and a romantic updo. Soft pink bridesmaids dresses set the tone for flowers in the same color family by Milieu Florals. With CCL Weddings and Events onboard to lead the planning and design, Liz and Jason created the perfect day for them and their friends and family. Following the ceremony at Los Angeles Full Gospel Church, the lovely Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at The Music Center played host to the reception. There, the couple took part in a tea ceremony to pay homage to their heritage. Pink chevron and vintage touches created a fairytale space for dinner, dancing, and a luscious dessert from Cakery Bakery. This affair couldn’t be more gorgeous. See it all right here!

Ivy and Chase’s wedding can be summed up in two words: glamorous and elegant. Actually, these images from Julia Wade Photography say it all; soft pink and sparkly gold details in every picture make this a sophisticated soiree we won’t soon forget! The couple chose the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina for both the ceremony and reception. The 22-foot-high windows in The Social Lobby overlooked the gardens at sunset as Ivy and Chase repeated their vows. Corum Greenhouses & Florist took Ivy’s request for soft pinks and creams and chose hydrangeas, garden roses, spray roses, and lisianthus for bouquets; tables were draped in gold sequin linens and topped with blooms clustered in mint julep cups that the bride painted gold. Complementing the decor were Ivy’s bridesmaids, classically styled in pale pink Bill Levkoff dresses, while she opted for a lace gown by Tara Keely. For extra glam, Ivy chose gold Diane von Furstenberg sandals to pair with her gown and reception dress by Aidan Mattox. And while we’re just swooning over every detail, our favorite thing just might be the gold glitter dusted cake by A Piece of Cake Bakery—it’s magnificent! Lauren and Zach’s Chicago wedding is just as elegant as can be, with soft and sweet details that will be in style forever! The breathtaking Saint Clement Parish served as the location of the Catholic ceremony before the couple’s reception at Galleria Marchetti. Unique bouquets from Cornelia McNamara that included poppies and dusty miller are one of our favorite details of this affair, and the alternating pastel floral and baby’s breath arrangements at the reception have us drooling as well! Pretty pink bridesmaids dresses from Jordan are lovely, and the silhouettes complement Lauren’s Kittychen Couture gown, which she paired with a mantilla veil from Veiled Beauty. In a departure from typical fondant cakes, Lauren and Zach chose a buttercream frosted confection from Alliance Bakery, festooned with lush blooms in shades of pink and peach.The entire scheme is stunning, as you can see in these amazing images from Justine Bursoni!

Rachel and Austen weren’t afraid to have a little fun with their colorful outdoor wedding, incorporating creative details into a classic affair at Laguna Gloria in Austin. Some of our favorite Lonestar photographers, The Nichols, captured this whimsical day that was filled with bold wildflowers from Verbena Floral Design and rustic but sophisticated touches by Beth Walker of 36th Street Events. We love the nod to mod in the letterpress programs and also in Rachel’s snakeskin shoes by Pour La Victoire. Her lace Romona Keveza gown from Blush Bridal Lounge and vintage jewelry was a gorgeous contrast to the blush bridesmaids dresses. We are absolutely swooning over the polished aqua vintage convertible from Vintage Rides that Rachel and Austen used as their getaway car—the perfect punchy ending to a great day! It’s just a fact that everything is bigger in Texas, and Katy and Cort’s wedding is definitely big—on style, sophistication, and elegance. A beautiful ceremony at Saint Mary Cathedral gave way to one heck of a reception at The Driskill in Austin. We love all of the cream, taupe, and gold details in the decor, which complement the pale Amsale bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaid and the soft bouquets and arrangements by Last Petal. Katy’s gown, Emmaline by Vera Wang, is a jaw-dropper, with swaths of sheer fabric wrapped around the bodice and skirt. Soft details in paper goods by Letterpress Finesse lend a little color, while the lovely cake by The Driskill gets its interest from textures of white. We always love images from The Nichols, but this time the photography duo outdid themselves, capturing every detail of this fab day, which Lauren Carillo of Something to Celebrate Wedding & Event Coordination helped pull off. We want it all!

Brecklyn and Cameron’s wedding in Austin, Texas, is the epitome of elegance. With a classic color palette of white, black and gold, the couple and planner Caplan Miller Events orchestrated a beautiful ballroom fete inside the Four Seasons hotel, preceded by a simple and traditional ceremony at Central Christian Church. Breckyln’s lace gown is stunning, with a crystal and silk detail that cinches her waist. We love the white bouquets bridesmaids carried, as well as the towering candelabra arrangements inside the reception! We’re so glad Jennifer Lindberg Weddings shared this stunning wedding with us!

We just can’t stop staring at these gorgeous wedding photos from The Nichols! AnaLiza and Michael envisioned a soft, sophisticated Texas affair with touches of metallic gold, and it’s one of our favorites ever. Says photographer Jennifer Nichols, “From the bride’s stunning, custom-designed Monique Lhuillier dress, which she paired with her mother’s mantilla veil, to their lakeside reception venue with views of the Hill Country, this day was both classic and modern, and full of style. Easily one of our most memorable weddings of 2012.” We couldn’t agree more, especially when it comes to details like the shimmery gold antlers on reception tables, the textured frosted cake from Whole Foods, and jaw-dropping floor-length metallic gray bridesmaids dresses. Oh, and AnaLiza’s caged Chanel heels? We die!

Pardon our gushing, but this is one of our favorite weddings ever! It just so happens to be one of Jen Huang Photography‘s, too! The gray and pink color palette is soft and romantic, and the setting at the Houston Zoo is unexpected and fun. The photos from Jen Huang Photography are so breathtaking that we can only imagine how fabulous this fete was in person. Rachel and Naomi planned for 15 months, leaving not a detail untouched. The bride designed the flowers—assembled to her wishes by The Nouveau Romantics—including her rose, peony, ranunculus, and dusty miller bouquet. The adorable gray and pink ruffled bridesmaids dresses from Eden Bridals are playful and go perfectly with the color scheme, too, but we simply can’t stop staring at the gorgeous Ines Di Santo gown. This wedding definitely has the wow factor!

I’m in love with Colette and Luke’s gorgeous rustic and romantic Austin wedding. Classic black bridesmaids dresses and sleek, modern tuxes plus gorgeous florals by Petal Pushers? Adore!  The couple incorporated natural, rustic elements into their wedding without compromising the elegance of the event. My favorite detail is the aspen logs that Colette’s dad hollowed out to be used as vessels for the flowers and programs. You’re going to absolutely swoon over these gorgeous photos by La Dolce Vita Photography!

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! The gallery is full of more incredible photos by Ioana Porav Photography, from the stunning rose petal seals on the stationery by Invogue Art, to Sarah’s romantic Milla Nova wedding gown (a nod to her Hispanic roots), to even more photos of their unbelievable florals, and trust us, you absolutely want to see them all!

When you find out that Christine and Michael’s guest list consisted of family from 19 different states, you’ll wonder like us how they accommodated every single one of them. They happened upon Morristown, New Jersey because of its proximity to major airports and train stations: a huge plus. What they really lucked out on was The Madison Hotel-Conservatory. Cassi Claire Photography captured the breathtaking venue and its high glass walls, stark white interior with a slight industrial vibe, and the abundance of flowers already perched inside. The couple wanted to keep their colors simple, so they opted for a classic color palette so as not to detract from the conservatory itself. Apple Blossom Flower Shop created pieces with white flowers front and center and heaps of greenery strewn throughout, from the bouquets to the centerpieces. Check out local conservatories for their wedding availability; they are usually decked out in impressive flora and fauna already and are such a unique option for wedding venues.

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.
