Chic + Elegant New York Engagement

Kaitlyn and Brad waited from their winter engagement until fall so they would have gorgeous scenery around New York City for their pre-wedding photos. After a brief stop at Hudson River Park, the couple headed over to Tribeca—where they live now—and then to their old nabe on the Upper West Side for these chic and sophisticated engagement images from Sasithon Photography. The backdrop of the Lincoln Center provided a walk down memory lane; it’s where Kaitlyn studied ballet and Brad attended law school. We’re in love with these elegant photos taken around the city!

Chic West Village Engagement Session

Sammi and Dan achieved the ultimate in engagement photos during their time around New York’s West Village and Hudson River Park with Lindsay Madden: effortless, romantic images that are chic and classic! With styling expertise from Roey Mizrahi Events, Sammi and Dan walked the city’s side streets and casually picnicked in the park to get these sweet reminders of their engagement. We could not adore Sammi’s red-hot Kate Spade New York dress and that vintage bicycle any more! We hope you enjoy all of the fabulous photos from this day!

Chic Beach Engagement Session

Tammy and Stan’s breezy and impossibly romantic San Diego engagement session is the perfect farewell to summer! As the CEO and founder of FitChick, Tammy travels around the globe for work, and a business trip to the south of France presented Stan the perfect opportunity to surprise Tammy by popping the question. Upon their return home, the couple decided to recreate that magical afternoon with a pretty St. Tropez-inspired engagement session! HauteFetes designed a perfect sunset picnic against the backdrop of the picturesque California coastline, complete with a white kite, market tote, and the cutest naked cake from The Crimson Cake. A mod bikini from Bare Necessities (complete with floppy hat, naturally!) and gorgeous blooms from Blooms by Breesa Lee add to the romantic, French mood. Each image from Booth Photographics is simply irresistible!

Elegant Essex House Wedding

Sara and Michael narrowly escaped an impending snowstorm in order to pull off their fabulous NYC fete at the JW Marriott Essex House New York! These breathtaking images from Rebecca Yale Portraits have us swooning—from white tulip bouquets to lush textural white arrangements, fashioned by Lewis Miller Design, this wedding is classic, fresh, and stunning. Helping the couple from start to finish, including designing classic cream stationery, Reed Cohen Papers and Events ensured the details were flawless. We love the light lavender Bill Levkoff bridesmaids dresses, a pop of springtime color in this winter wedding, and Sara’s jewel-encrusted Pnina Tornai gown from Kleinfeld—such sophistication! Blingy details at the reception sparkled and shined among the gold and cream table settings. We are dying over the amazing chandeliers in the ballroom! A chic cake from Ron Ben-Israel Cakes is exactly what Sara and Michael envisioned, and after cutting into the confection, the couple participated in a traditional Jewish wedding dance, the horah, with their guests. Enjoy all of the photos of this gorgeous celebration!

Fresh Maritime Wedding Inspiration

We love this fresh take on nautical style in weddings! Pale pink and gray stationery from Suite Paperie is still nautical-chic, but in a softer presentation than crisp navy and red. Dulce Dreams Events directed a stunning shoot filled with soft blooms from L’Oasis that fit right into the soothing color palette. With images from Alexis June Weddings and Cyrience Photography on a gorgeous old-school sailboat at Maritime Parc, we just can’t get enough of this chic and sophisticated setting! Staying true to the theme, Madison Lee’s Cakes used real seashells for the molds on the cake, and brown sugar created the illusion of sand. The model’s intricate GEMY by Gemy Maalouf gown is stunning! We’re in love with this shoot from top to bottom—see every last detail in the gallery!

Spring Wedding at Bryant Park

Jessica and Daniel opted for an intimate ceremony atop the roof of the Bryant Park Grill, which we find sweetly romantic! Jessica remembers walking through Bryant Park as straight out of a fairytale, with locals and tourists sharing their congratulations and taking photos. It was a celebrity moment! Romantic pink and gold was the theme of the day, with a bubblegum pink Bill Levkoff bridesmaids dress, NYC skyline invitations from Bella Figura, and the pretty spring florals—featuring Jessica’s adored peonies—from Verde Flowers. Our hearts are aflutter over the vintage look of Jessica’s Allure Bridals gown, Pronovias veil, and gold glitter Kate Spade heels. Lindsay Madden Photography captured the grace and elegance of the day so perfectly, we almost feel as though we are there, too! Join in the fun in the gallery!

We love Laci and Dan’s sweet engagement photos, shot during the height of cherry blossom season in New York’s Central Park! Lindsay Madden Photography took these wonderful photos of the couple as they strolled the lush outdoors surrounded by pretty pink buds that perfectly complement Laci’s precious dress. We can’t think of a better, more romantic spot to be!

California residents Andrea and Scott escaped to New York City to elope—but not before taking some gorgeous engagement session photos with Carmen Santorelli Fine Art Photography! The couple started the session at Minerva, a café in the West Village, then strolled down to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge for some unforgettable photos! We love how cozy, stylish and in love Andrea and Scott look in these gorgeous photos!

Relaxed New York Engagement Session

Katrina and James have stolen our hearts. Their engagement shoot isn’t just adorable, it tells the story of who they are, where they’ve been and even gives us a glimpse of all the love to come!  Katrina and James met in the laundry room of their apartment building six years ago on the Upper West Side. About a year ago, James proposed to Katrina in their current building’s laundry room, making it only fitting to use a laundromat as a backdrop for their engagement photos. (Romantic, check.  Thoughtful, check.  Perfect, check!) To reflect their Mexican and Italian heritage, the couple stopped by the “Eat like wolves, fight like devils” storefront in honor of their love for food and fiery personalities. To complete the photo session, the couple then headed back to their place to capture some relaxed moments around their beautiful home. We are swooning over the cozy and casual vibe captured by Missy Photography in these photos!

Elegant New York Ballroom Wedding

For Allison and Ido, their wedding in New York City was a “fairytale. It was the perfect combination of NYC sleek and soft romance in an old gothic temple,” the bride said. The bride designed their pink and gray invitations and the groom, a musician, had a hand in the music selection (check out the song!). Nicolette Camille Floral Design mixed low, flowing centerpieces with tall arrangements of cherry blossoms in the stunning Angel Orensanz Foundation, creating a dramatic effect that Jacquelyn Poussot captured beautifully!

Elegant California Ranch Wedding

Hannah and Balem could not have found a more perfect location to realize their elegant and romantically rustic wedding vision than Calamigos Ranch. During the intimate outdoor ceremony, redwood, weeping willows, and eucalyptus trees arched above as they exchanged vows. They kept the color palette fresh and clean with light blush bridesmaids dresses and gorgeous florals by Fleur de Rye in blush, white, and lots of greenery, incorporating some wood touches as well, a nod to Hannah’s Texan roots. Their day was effortlessly romantic and the epitome of simple, natural beauty. You will fall in love with these photos from Valorie Darling Photography Collective, so be sure to view the entire gallery!

Chic NYC Handmade Wedding

Pamela and Ryan’s Long Island City wedding is the most perfect combination of industrial chic and garden glamour! The gorgeous exposed brick and clinging ivy of The Foundry set the stage for their handmade affair. So as not to detract from the raw space, they selected a clean color palette of dove gray, navy, and mint with a glimmer of metallic accents for good measure. Soft and flowing Bari Jay bridesmaids dresses with ruffled accents and Pamela’s Mira Zwillinger gown from Mark Ingram Atelier were perfectly matched by the stunning bouquets from Designs by Ahn, which featured bluish white and blush peonies and ranunculus, accented by anemones, thistle, and eucalyptus. The fragrant greens also graced the tables, weaving throughout the candlesticks atop soft gray linens from Broadway Party Rentals. Their ceremony featured a showstopping floating floral altar that has us mesmerized! We are completely head over heels for all of the handmade details that the couple included, from the amazing groom’s cake right down to the custom wax seals. Every single moment as captured by Cassi Claire is perfection!

Classic Nautical-Inspired Wedding

Meagan and Adam’s Missouri soiree is the perfect summer affair. Held at the lakeside venue of Integrity Hills, the couple worked with Abby Mitchell Events to bring their nautical theme to life. Flowers were an important part of the day, and Artistry in Bloom matched the beauty of the surroundings with lovely and interesting arrangements of kale, hydrangea, coffee berries, garden roses, and protea. Meagan traveled to South Africa during her veterinary training and became enchanted by protea, so incorporating the exotic bloom was close to her heart. Maritime accents such as rope and knots decorated the tables, which were set with navy linens and striped silver napkins echoing the bridesmaids’ pretty J.Crew frocks. Meagan is a vision in a vintage Priscilla of Boston gown from Marry Go Round and veil handmade by her aunt. We love the perfect pop of pink lipstick in her flawless makeup by Makeup by Melissa Britt. Each image from Christine Bonnivier Photography is perfection, right down to the sparkler exit!

Classic Gold and Navy Wedding

The ocean breeze and lush greenery of Los Angeles’ Trump National Golf Club were the backdrop for Ivy and Aaron’s classic California wedding. Inspired by the beautiful surroundings, the couple incorporated a tree theme, symbolizing planting roots and growing as one. Working with CCL Weddings and Events, they echoed the theme by building a ceremony arch out of intertwining branches, adding greenery to the decor designed by The Vine’s Leaf, and hanging escort cards in a live tree installation in the venue’s foyer. Romantic centerpieces in shades of blush and ivory dressed up the elegant ballroom, where the neutral palette gives an utterly timeless feel. We’re captivated by the gorgeous images from Christine Farah Photography!

Nautical-Inspired Seaside Wedding

All at once perfectly preppy and beautifully classic, Sydney and Matthew’s New England wedding is chock full of seaside charm! Set in Sydney’s hometown of Essex, CT, their ceremony on the Essex Town Green was a short walk from the Griswold Inn, where her parents met and their guests stayed for the wedding weekend. The nearby Connecticut River Museum is a dream reception locale, steps from the water. The town’s maritime history inspired nautical details, the most special two of which must be Sydney’s grandfather’s hand-built model sailboat from 1937—prominently displayed alongside vintage card catalog drawers used as escort cards—and a lobster boat aptly named “Tied the Knot”, built by her cousin. Florals by Ashley Drago Botanicals were kept loose and simple, inside containers collected by Sydney and her mother. A few drops of rain during the ceremony did nothing to dampen guests’ spirits, and the love this couple shares is evident in each image from the fabulous Ashley Caroline Photography!

Romantic Manhattan Wedding

Elegant and sophisticated, Chloe and Jonathan’s wedding featured not only one but two New York City neighborhoods. Grace Church in Brooklyn Heights is in a magical setting, sitting near the promenade with views of lower Manhattan’s iconic skyline—a perfect spot to catch a gorgeous sunset! Although it was terribly cold on their November wedding day, the bridal party braved frozen toes for portraits in their stunning Amsale dresses and tuxedos from The Black Tux. Chloe, Jonathan, and their guests traveled to Manhattan’s Upper East Side to the Harold Pratt House for the intimate reception designed by Celebrations Event and featuring beautiful ivory and blush florals by Stems Floral Design. Chloe is a vision in a stunning Mika Inatome gown, and we are head over heels for the elegant images from Rebecca Yale Photography!

Modern Urban Wedding Ceremony

Romantic NYC Wedding at The Foundry

NYC has some incredible wedding venues, and Long Island City’s The Foundry is sublimely chic. It was an absolutely perfect setting for Aynsley and Nate’s cozy, modern urban wedding. The couple worked with Saipua to bring their whimsical, rustic vibe to life. From the ceremony’s stunning, wild arbor to the garden-style centerpieces in shades of lavender and blush, Saipua created unique and natural florals to accent the soaring space. The couple paid homage to family tradition by inviting their parents to present well-wishes during the ceremony in lieu of a reading, and their Momofuku Milk Bar cake was adorned with a cake topper used in Aynsley’s parents’ and grandparents’ weddings. Aynsley is a vision in a Stone Fox Bride gown with a simple floral wreath adorning her loose waves. We’re sure you’ll agree that this incredible wedding from Jen Huang Photography is one of this year’s most lovely!

Clean + Classic Ballroom Wedding

Hallie and Matthew are absolutely gorgeous and their clean and classic Oklahoma City wedding fits them perfectly! The couple selected July 4th as their date as an homage to Hallie’s grandparents, who were married on Independence Day 56 years prior. Hallie’s classic Jim Hjelm gown was fitted with a champagne sash, matching her maids’ J.Crew dresses, and we are loving Matthew’s sleek navy and brown groom attire. The Skirvin Hilton, with its 1920s chandeliers and downtown location, was the setting—its stately ballroom decorated with elegant greenery and a mix of ivory hydrangea, peonies, roses, eucalyptus, lisianthus, and astilbe. Poppy Lane Design absolutely outdid themselves with the chic and unfussy decor! Guests enjoyed a full dessert bar from the fabulous Amy Cakes, with a centerpiece cake with fresh flowers that we absolutely adore. Enjoy each and every image from Amanda Watson Photography!

Long Beach NY Engagement Session 20

New York Beach Engagement Session

Michele and Jonathan met in the first grade in their hometown of Baldwin, on Long Island. With the gift of a glow in the dark ring on Valentines Day at a roller rink in fourth grade, Jonathan asked Michele to be his girlfriend. With the gift of a beautiful sparkling diamond in Central Park many years after fourth grade, Jonathan asked Michele to be his wife. Jon convinced Michele to sit for a caricaturist, who (in on the plan) drew a picture of Jon proposing! Naturally, she said yes (to the cheers of the NYC tourists). Jon, ever the industrious husband-to-be, had gathered their friends and family to picnic in the park afterwards, and after returning home, their friends had filled their apartment with confetti, banners, and balloons. An incredible celebration for an incredible couple! Their Long Beach, NY engagement session is filled with love and light, and we love celebrating this unofficial last week of summer with these images from Alexis June Weddings!

Central Park Boathouse Wedding

You first spied Kristen and Britt in their lovely Brooklyn engagement session, and we are so thrilled today to share their classic Manhattan wedding. They selected one of New York’s most gorgeous settings, The Loeb Boathouse Central Park, as their venue, and the theme of the day was natural beauty. The cherry blossoms were out in full force for their spring nuptials, and they made the most of them, with stunning blossom branch centerpieces created by Lenox Hill Florist, and of course, portraits in the blooming park! The couple rode across the lake to the Boathouse in a Venetian gondola, and the party greeted them upon arrival with cheers. Britt, a graphic designer, created all of the printed materials for their wedding, in their true-to-NYC black and white palette. Enjoy these beautiful images from B Hull Photography!
