Ethereal River Wedding Inspiration

This inspiration shoot is so achingly gorgeous, so ethereal, there may be no words to do it justice. Entitled Gossypium—the Latin name for the cotton plant family—this stripped-down, elegant session was created for The Little Workshop, held in Southern Virginia and orchestrated by the incredible Michael and Carina Photography. Taking cues from nature and the cotton field at their venue, The Lewis Dream Home, Gossamer first styled and outfitted an intimate bridal boudoir session and then progressed to sunset portraits in the fields of cotton and a rustic but sophisticated tabletop with florals from White Magnolia Designs and hand-lettered place cards by Written Word Calligraphy. The stunning ivory and greenery bouquet was beribboned by Silk & Willow, and Stephanie Knight‘s gorgeous hair and makeup was done by Lora Kelley. We could not be more in love, and are honored to share the absolutely perfect images from Michael and Carina Photography!

The breathtaking beauty of the Colorado Rockies and Vail’s Piney River Ranch is the backdrop for today’s inspiration shoot, and the one-of-a-kind location truly sets a spectacular stage. Surrounded by seemingly uninterrupted wilderness, rustic charm abounds. We love this unique take on a mountain wedding, which features industrial elements and metallics that bring a bit of the city to the ranch. By mixing rose gold, copper, gold, and silver with unique touches such as Edison lights and marquee letters, Pink Diamond Events brought a heightened sense of style to a traditional setting. Lush and earthy florals from Petals and Pours grace the table from Old Wood Soul, which was paired with modern copper chairs from Ecletic Hive. A white cake from Megan Joy Cakes with feather accents brings a delicate final touch. There is so much to love in these gorgeous images from Danielle DeFiore!

A backdrop of verdant green climbing ivy and dreamy painterly florals would play a muse for any impressionist artist, so it’s no wonder that Indigo Event Design chose the stunning gardens and chateau of Monet Vineyards for this Claude Monet-inspired shoot. BLUE Floral Company created a pastel rainbow of locally-sourced florals to paint the outdoor ceremony space and stunning bouquet that is worthy of Monet’s brush itself. Lush centerpieces of coral and butter yellow peonies, lavender scabiosa, and dusty blush roses sit atop a french blue table, with just the right touch of regal elegance from gold flatware and chargers. Romantic and intimate, these photos by RTFaith Photography prove that even a micro-wedding can be a fairytale wedding too!

Inspired by the architecture and verdant gardens of Andalucía, this shoot from Bloomfield Photography is a flawless combination of grand venue and intimate outdoor space. A stunning organic green floral arch by Anais Floristas frames the intimate ceremony space and the bold Pantone blues used for the tablescape complement the vibrant greens of the surrounding Botanical Gardens of Málaga. The villa had never opened its doors to a styled shoot before but we are so very glad they decided to allow Reviva Weddings and the entire team to create something that showcases the stately manor and lush gardens so perfectly!

There are some locations on this planet that just leave us in awe and the south of France is certainly one of them. This Provençal inspiration is in the most decadent of places and we couldn’t dream it up better if we tried. Alicia from Alicia Yarrish Photography was in her photographic element. Lavender fields and craggy, rocky lookout points gave way to dramatic landscape photographs while a private French chateau was the setting for the intimate elopement. Sophie Epton was inspired by the surroundings and ultimately, a soft, neutral, pastel palette mimicked the land. The most impressive story came via the florists, Remi and Gold, who hauled the beautiful blooms from Paris and they survived the eight-hour trek. No stone was left unturned with this elegant editorial.

Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

This gorgeous shoot from Sara Reynolds Events is inspired by the hope, the anticipation, and the subtle calm of spring’s beauty. Stacy Bowen Floral Design worked with florals that are cheery and fresh without being overwhelmingly bold, mirroring the feel of everything abloom at Baltimore’s stunning Cylburn Arboretum. The architecture of the venue and elegant calligraphy by Shotgunning For Loveletters brought charm and refinement to the shoot, while the fresh and colorful blooms of the arboretum grounds kept it from feeling too fussy. With the water, sailboats, and ferries of West Seattle as the background, Willow & Ivy Events set out to create a romantic and intimate beach wedding setting with organic design. The dreamy tablescape set for four combined light, soft blues with coastal touches such as driftwood place cards, copper china, greenery, dainty bud vases, and candles galore. Gauzy linens from Gather Design Company and watercolor stationery from Songbird Paperie paired beautifully with the garland foraged and hand-crafted by Balancing Balloons and the dahlia and greenery centerpiece and bouquet by Willow & Ivy Events. Equal parts glamorous and playful, this garden wedding inspiration shoot from Marsais, Blush and Vine, and Weddings by Jessee channels inspiration from Marie Antoinette and cotton candy! The unique juxtaposition perfectly captures the sweetness of Brittany and Ethan’s love for one another, and combines for a whimsical fairytale shoot not to be soon forgotten. Enchanting details such as a mirrored table, hand-painted opal dinnerware, and dramatic black taper candles set the scene, with lush compote-style arrangements from Blush and Vine completing the glimmering tabletop. Cotton candy from Lush Puff echoes the gown from Carol Hannah with swaths of tulle, and sleek black accents from the silk ribbon by Honey Silks & Co. to fabulous Manolo Blahnik heels play up the glamorous style. Inspired by ballerinas, Agnes of Meadows Flowers & Styling designed a vignette with absolutely precious little flower girl fairies. Soft pastel dresses from Nellystella and an assortment of flower crowns and accessories, along with ballet slippers and ballerina wear from Repetto completed every little girl’s most perfect dress up day! We adore the pure joy on each of the little ladies’ faces as they dance, twirl, and play princess for a day. Prepare to fall in love with every moment from Binc Photography!

A breathtaking historic home with a stunning gingko tree is both the inspiration and setting for today’s beautiful inspiration shoot from Wendy Cooper Photography! A warm and colorful palette of thistle blue, crimson and gold brought the setting to life. We’re always so thrilled to debut work from Michael and Carina Photography‘s The Little Workshop, and could not think of a more wonderful way to begin 2016! Their latest work is inspired by embers: a glowing fire, smoldering ashes, dark and rich. Wit Weddings created magic with the interior of The Lewis Dream Home, bringing the theme to life with torches, candles, and romantic charcoal calligraphy on the invitations from Stephanie B. Design. Florals by White Magnolia Designs in a lush, deep palette evoke the rich feeling of winter. We adore the unique, layered Vera Wang gown and delicate robe from Girl With A Serious Dream, both perfectly elegant and befitting the splendor of the shoot. Not a detail is left unfinished, down to the deep black ruffles on the petite cake from Buttercream Bakeshop. The breathtaking Methoni Castle in Messinia, Greece was the setting for the Bohême Workshops, and its medieval beauty, along with Greek culture, inspired this otherworldly inspiration shoot designed and styled by Tahnee Sanders of Celsia Floral. Olive branches and vintage silver graced the table, along with fluffy ivory blooms and stationery with elegant swaths of calligraphy by September Letters. The bride is radiant in a pale blue gown from Cinobi Cinobi and dewy makeup from Frantzeska Kouboula. Hampshire offers up some of the most stunning views of rolling fields and tree lined horizons and Bonhams Barn fit the bill perfectly for this English countryside inspiration designed by The Wedding Stylist. Sarah of Floribunda Rose created stunning florals with mocha dahlias and gorgeous British foliage, apples on stems, ripening berries and soft ferns. Even the deserts gave their nod to the rustic, countryside setting with fresh local berry tartlets & trio of wedding cakes by Abi Anna Cake Designs. We love the classic touches such as antique cut crystal vases, spools with hand-lettered cotton paper at each place setting, and beautiful trestle table. Today’s autumn editorial is truly spectacular. With Colorado’s Wild Canyon Ranch as the setting, Yonder Floral and Decor House set out to complement the stunning setting beneath the Colorado aspen trees with vibrant, elegant autumn inspiration. Florals in the shades of the season—including orchids, roses, and magnolia leaves—decorated the repurposed wood and stone structure. Gilded gates with lush greenery served as both a ceremony backdrop and escort card display. Fabrics in various textures are sprinkled throughout, from the gossamer teal fabric runner to the cozy lounge area’s pillows and poufs, to the upholstered seating at the reception table. Shear Elegance by Tawny styled bride Rachel’s flowing waves, with natural, dewy makeup from Magnifica Bella. We are simply head over heels for every gorgeous image from Carrie King Photographer!

Today’s gorgeous styled shoot at Ivanhoe California’s stunning Historic Seven Sycamores is inspired by a summer evening in the countryside. Soft feminine colors and greenery details add to the natural beauty of the surroundings. Kim from Drops Of Honey Designs designed an ethereal tabletop and bridal look, and accessories from Petals & Stones added the perfect amount of elegance. Cristal Jones Designs used handmade papers from Nepal as the basis for the hand-lettered stationery suite, whose blue and gold tones paired beautifully with the beautiful tabletop featuring her floral designs. Be still our hearts! This inspiration shoot, set at Mendocino’s Cuffey’s Cove Ranch during the Erich McVey Workshop, is pure rustic elegance. Styled by Ginny Au, the ranch setting is accented with lush greenery and florals by Soil & Stem that feel just-foraged. A mix of textures grace the table, with linens from Alder & Co ​and ​Silk & Willow in shades of taupe and blush. We simply adore the Spanish-style sophistication of the Emily Riggs gown, accented with soft hair and makeup by Mimi & Taylor. Today’s organic and natural wedding editorial from Kristen Lynne Photography is utterly breathtaking. Set at South Carolina’s stunning RiverOaks Charleston, a unique space with Southern charm in spades, the inspiration shoot planned by Live View Studios brings together the natural beauty of the surroundings with simple, romantic dinner party decor. Rustic farmhouse tables were set with crisp white dishware from Event Haus, a myriad of pillar candles lining the taupe runner. Beautiful stationery from Amanda Day Rose appears aged, with swaths of calligraphy gracing the kraft-paper envelope. A floaty Astrid & Mercedes gown is graceful and elegant, perfectly paired with the venue. The dinner party is so lovely even the resident cat paid a visit! Inspired by the movie Cinderella, this shoot designed by Amore Events by Cody is absolutely befitting a princess! From head—a gorgeous tiara by Mignonne Handmade—to toe—glass slipper-like Christian Louboutins—our fairy tale bride is picture perfect, and a Watters ballgown embodies the spirit of Cinderella. Elegant details such as calligraphed invitations by Poppy and Scooter and a vintage-inspired ring by Trumpet and Horn make the look utterly timeless, while touches like the incredible carousel cake from Maliha Creations add a whimsical, charming lightness. Lush, garden-style arrangements by Whimsical Floral Design adorn the tables and even the final fantasy touch: a getaway carriage! Be still our hearts. Sara Cangueiro from Hoje é especial designed this ethereal inspiration shoot around the theme “Love is the salt of life”. Her vision of a timeless and romantic wedding was brought to life with a neutral color palette and a stunning setting. Seixas do Minho, Portugal’s Villa Idalina has an almost other-worldly feel, its stately ceilings and paneled walls in the most perfect shade of blue and gold. The gorgeous florals by Hoje é especial added a romantic touch to the intimate table setting for two. Janine is resplendent in a Jesus Peiro Porto gown and gold jewelry from Jewellery for Al, with tousled waves by Pedro Ferreira and soft makeup by Makeup By Bárbara Brandão.
