Modern Autumn Wedding Inspiration

Any way you spin the color green in a wedding palette, it is quite the versatile shade. From soft pastels like mint or sage to deep hues like the beautiful emerald or hunter green, you can easily use this earthy color at any wedding during any time of the year if you fancy it. It’s so timeless and we’re glad that wedding extraordinaires like Olive Fine Weddings & Events and Alexandra Lee ran on the same wavelength as us. This styled shoot has a hefty helping of green all over it, and if you take out the seemingly wintry elements to this inspo, you can readily use it all throughout the year. The luxe blooms by Willrett Flower Co. (check out the installation framing the sweetheart table!) may need some tweaking when it comes to what’s in season and what’s in your area, but no matter if you’re a spring or summer bride-to-be eyeing this shade of green, you’ll certainly get the same gorgeous effect that Alexandra snapped for us.

Hands down, an all-white wedding is the utter classic wedding palette. It will go down in wedding inspiration history as one of our favorites here on EAD. As simple as it is, a white color scheme can make a wedding feel so luxurious and elegant and the varieties are endless. In this captivating Flora Bloom Photography editorial at the bright white Venue 1902, Pearl White Events (how perfect) opted for a soft, creamy white and ran amok with it. The venue is painted in a stark white, so gingerly toning the room down with ivory linen-clad tables dotted with blush and gold details and foliage was an exquisite idea. Punctuating it with a cleanly-done ceremony section with heaps of green space and a brick-lined lounge area makes this styled shoot chic, modern, and timeless to boot.

When you have a sublime location like Norman Farms ready to utilize at your fingertips, taking advantage of it and all of its natural delights are at the top of the list. Illustrious vendors like Fiona Louise Design and Something Minted had a blast foraging around the massive 28-acre property to beautifully bring this farm-to-table inspired shoot together. The art of table setting was a large inspiration for the day; for shoot designer and venue owner Fiona, welcoming loved ones meant breaking out the nicest wares and florals and setting up a grand table for gathering. For this shoot, an herb bouquet with mint and rosemary, blackberries, quince, pears, and apples were shared fresh from the grounds. A hearty loaf of sourdough bread and golden blossom honey was the centerpiece amidst the taper candles and antiquated English wares. Save a seat for us at this table; we would definitely want to break bread here among friends.

This gorgeous styled shoot from Amore Events and Reverie Supply is pure, unabashed romance. Inspired by the new Gothic line by Claire Pettibone, the theme is “Moody Romance” and does it ever deliver! Beginning with a boudoir session in a floaty Gossamer robe and ending in shimmering frosty-blue confection from Claire Pettibone, this styled shoot is perfect inspiration for the glamorous, daring bride. Set against the rolling green hills of Keswick Hall, a tabletop full of deep purple blooms and dramatic anemones from Wild Green Yonder and handmade silver chargers from Arte Italica features swashes of calligraphy by Poppy and Scooter on Silk & Willow ribbon. And prepare to fall in love with a show-stopping black wedding cake from Wild Flour Baking. We are positively mesmerized by the beauty in the images from Reverie Supply!

Sarah and Scott originally had a large celebration planned, but like many other brides, COVID changed that. In a cautious manner they decided to move forward with their wedding with just their 12 closest family and friends. Despite the small guest count, the design aspect was large. Their outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by banyan trees under the most stunning Chuppah. Reception was followed with the most divine tent with flowing florals and hints of citrus.

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! Editorial photographer Lianna from Lianna Marie Photography wanted to achieve one primary objective in this lush-colored wedding styled shoot: to showcase a soft and pastel-colored wedding in the heart of Vegas instead of the flashy swankiness that we all imagine when we think of the Entertainment Capital of the World. Lianna and her team of professional wedding vendors created a fine art wedding in the heart of Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Country Club. They created an oasis of summertime charm, luxe romance, and total elegance. It is undeniable that a huge focal point in this shoot are the sherbet and candy-colored blooms hailing from Layers of Lovely. Peonies, garden roses, spirea, ranunculus, and butterfly ranunculus in every shade of coral and pink under the sun are so pleasing to the eye. Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

We just want more and more of this Texas wedding shoot by ML Photo & Film! We can’t get enough of those sky high magnolia trees and the ultra-southern Woodbine Mansion sitting pretty in the background. To our heart’s delight, Eclipse Event Co. wanted to keep the style fresh and sweet as tea, with the always-classic white and ivory paired with cornflower blue accents along with hints of gold in the cutlery and peach linens. The medium powdery blue certainly stood out on the sprawling manor’s grounds, tying everything together to result in an epic rendition of “southern charm”. This one is certainly for the Pinterest boards!

Maine’s Cliff House provided the inspiration for this modern and minimalist inspiration shoot designed by Field Floral Design. The venue provided so many textures, with its marble bar, white subway-tiled walls, and patterned wood floors, and this shoot brings together the beauty of the cliffside surroundings with sleek details such as ultra-shiny black plates, smooth white linens, teak vessels, and minimalist florals in shades of lilac and garnet. Edgy details, such as a charcoal bridal veil, were just a bit out of the ordinary, accentuating the chic aesthetic. Understated, sans-serif stationery from Little Yellow Leaf and a smooth, fondant cake by Lisa Parker Cakes completed the setting. Warm fall colors, ethereal details, and enchanting florals combine to make this one of the most stunning autumn inspiration shoots ever! Buttery shades of caramel in the florals from Thorne and Thistle were accented by subtle pops of fall oranges and pinks. Christina Sloan Events created a scene inspired by personal details, such as the family crests on hand-lettered stationery by Alex Fly Designs, handmade paper by Tara Spencer and the blue marble cake by Cakes by Kim. Completely spellbound by the incredible images captured on film by Photos by Heart!

When you think of Colorado, rustic mountain events are top of mind, but when planning their Denver wedding, Grace and Conor knew that they wanted their contemporary and minimalist aesthetic to shine. Cherry Creek’s new Halcyon Hotel was the perfect fit. Rooftop views gave guests a glimpse of the city to the north and mountains to the west, and the sleek ballroom and modern interior beautifully accentuated the theme. Grace found her dream gown, a sleek Theia Couture design, at A and Bé—it was the first gown she tried on!—while Conor selected an incredible navy Hugo Boss tuxedo. The couple eschewed the traditional bridal party and cake and splurged on a welcome party for their guests at a rooftop bar in downtown Denver and a band for the reception, accomplishing their goal of an incredible dance party! Kimberlee Berman of Sweet Bee Designs created bright, native arrangements, adding a healthy dose of color to the otherwise neutral palette. Completely spellbound by this sophisticated couple and the beautiful images captured by Sara Lynn Photographic!

Scottsdale’s El Chorro resort was a stunning backdrop for this whimsical styled wedding inspiration created by Victoria Canada Weddings and Events. Selecting a dramatic floral linen from La Tavola Fine Linen as their inspiration, they designed a garden soiree featuring bold patterns and vibrant florals by Carte Blanche Design. Elegant and eclectic details abound, including a hand-lettered vow board by Dear Sarah Design, a painted wedding cake by Ruze Cake House, and stylish lounge furniture from Prim Rentals. From the unique statement floral for the ceremony setup to the delicate blush gown from Bella Lily Bridal, not a detail was left unfinished, and we are swooning over the images captured on film by Elyse Hall Photography!

Magic happens every time I am reunited with my amazingly talented friend Brandi of Alexis June Weddings, so when we both found ourselves in gorgeous Asheville, NC last month, it was the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the stunning weather to create a beautiful bridal editorial! Homewood is nestled within the historic Montford neighborhood, and the English stone manor set the stage. Gossamer gowns from Wildflower Bridal fluttered in the spring breeze, and beribboned bouquets from Flora Asheville accented the graceful designs by Anna Campbell, Ti Adora, Blush by Hayley Paige, and Willowby by Watters. Hughes Hair Design styled the gorgeous Brooke and Hannah with soft, loose locks and rosy lips and dramatic eyes by Dollbox Productions completed the elegant look. Romantic and sweet, these are flawless looks for any spring bride!

There are some days that are simply perfect, and today is one of those days, because at long last, we are debuting Aisle Society to the world, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the absolutely gorgeous Aisle Society official brand shoot that I styled with Lauren of Every Last Detail and a dream team of Chicago’s best wedding pros at downtown’s most fabulous wedding venue, Chez. Together with the ladies from Estera Events, we set out to create an event that would showcase all of the things that Aisle Society represents: fun, friendship, community, and of course, utterly beautiful wedding inspiration! Dramatic draping from Drape Kings was the centerpiece of the room, swathed along the ceiling and leading to a ceremony altar flanked by simple but show-stopping eucalyptus arrangements from Fleur. In the rest of the details, we bathed the whitewashed space in color! Our gorgeous ladies donned frocks from Bella Bridesmaids and David’s Bridal in shades from blush to dusty blue and flowing Truvelle and Sarah Seven bridal gowns, carrying bouquets of vibrant summer blooms. The modern but elegant tabletop features glimmering sequin linens and rose gold chargers and amazing confetti popper menus from Sarah Drake Design. The breathtaking beauty of the Colorado Rockies and Vail’s Piney River Ranch is the backdrop for today’s inspiration shoot, and the one-of-a-kind location truly sets a spectacular stage. Surrounded by seemingly uninterrupted wilderness, rustic charm abounds. We love this unique take on a mountain wedding, which features industrial elements and metallics that bring a bit of the city to the ranch. By mixing rose gold, copper, gold, and silver with unique touches such as Edison lights and marquee letters, Pink Diamond Events brought a heightened sense of style to a traditional setting. Lush and earthy florals from Petals and Pours grace the table from Old Wood Soul, which was paired with modern copper chairs from Ecletic Hive. The formal gardens and orchard of The Stevens Coolidge Place are the perfect backdrop for this unique greenhouse-inspired shoot styled and captured to perfection by Newbury Photographs. Pairing the exotic with the classic, Nicole centered the shoot around a dreamy black tulle dress with vivid pink flowers from Dream Shoot Rentals. She paired the frothy gown with simple white calligraphy by Hazel and Gray and cakes with figs and berries from Cake That!. The beautiful tablescape was adorned with antique linens, pewter candle sticks, and vintage china for a romantic touch. Virginia’s late fall colors are positively stunning, and today’s inspiration shoot shows them off to perfection! Using the transition from autumn to winter as their inspiration, the team of Reverie Supply and Wild Green Yonder brought the mood of the season to life. The bouquet created by Lori Tran of Wild Green Yonder may just be one of our absolute favorites ever with its sprawling greenery, autumn blooms, and flowing ribbons from Silk & Willow. The inimitable Laura Hooper Calligraphy hand-lettered gold ink on charcoal paper to create stationery that beautifully encapsulated the spirit of the shoot, and we adore the lace Sarah Seven gown paired with loose, easy waves styled by Erica Basha. We’re smitten with each and every image from Reverie Supply!

Happy Heart Day! To celebrate one of our favorite days of the year, we have the most fabulous Valentine’s Day inspiration from Michelle Leo Events! We love this chic take on the holiday—rather than the traditional red and pink, Michelle instead chose a vibrant and flirty palette of radiant orchid and fuchsia. This inspiration shoot is full of Valentine’s-inspired decor and sparkle (how gorgeous is the gold sequin table runner?)! We love the suble confetti theme, from the dots on the fluffy Rivini gown from Alta Moda Bridal to the gold confetti stationery by Foiled Invitations right down to gold foil on the cake from One Sweet Slice. Lush, romantic florals from Urban Chateau Floral complete the setting. We are head over heels for each and every image from Jacque Lynn Photography!

Today’s inspiration board is all about color, color, color! Underpinned by the basics of yellow and black, this palette—inspired by NYC, where I’ll be relocating this month!—adds little bits and bobs of grape, burgundy, and orange for a truly whimsical, modern feel. Glamorous touches, such as a stunning gown, fabulous shoes, and pretty china and flowers, are the key to grounding the theme and keeping things soft and romantic.
