NYC Wedding at The Pratt House

Let’s all take a moment (or two) out of our day to check out this bliss-inducing Janita Mestre wedding. It’s delightfully in the desert, so of course you’re going to spot a few cacti at Galway Downs, but you’re going to see such a dreamy color palette too. Being so close to Valentine’s Day, Stephanie and Alex wanted to evoke love all throughout, so they picked pink as their go-to hue. Big and bright blush and ivory florals by Events by Floral Sensations complemented the eye-catching David’s Bridal mauve bridesmaids’ dresses, and we loved this idea, too. Instead of continuing the soft tones everywhere, shake up the colors like Stephanie and Alex and throw a deep hue in the same color family somewhere that will be seen. Adding it to the bridesmaids’ dresses was a clever touch without overwhelming the couple’s desire to have an airy feel to their wedding day.

Fall evokes the dreamiest of color palettes and also some of the most innovative pairings, we think. Brittany and Adam married near the tail-end of the fall season where society’s color palette has started gravitating away from oranges and bright reds into deeper tones. Darker reds and moodier colors like their choice of burgundy and navy blue are spot on for this time of year. We love how Elle and Jaye Events transformed JW Marriott Las Vegas into a romantic, fall wonderland with burgundy, gold, and navy blue woven together. With Susie and Will and all of the vendors strutting their best stuff for Brittany and Adam’s wedding, the result was exceptionally beautiful.

On a snowy Chicago night, Laura and John were married at one of the most unique and beautiful venues, Salvage One. Working with Pistil and Vine, the couple created an intimate dinner party feel in the gorgeous architectural space. Arrangements in ivory and green adorn the wood tabletops with mismatched chairs, and fresh flowers surround a tiered confection from Alliance Bakery. Laura’s Monique Lhuillier long-sleeve gown from Ultimate Bride is sophisticated and vintage-inspired, and Amsale bridesmaids dresses in shades of blush and slate perfectly complement the rich brown tones of the venue. We’re head over heels for each and every image by Julia Franzosa!

Once in a while, a wedding comes that is so sublimely stunning that my breath catches and my heart skips a beat. Silvia and Henning’s wedding at Masseria Potenti is just so. The Manduria resort is ever so lovely, an Italian oasis that was the perfect setting for the couple’s sophisticated, modern wedding. The couple worked with Chic Weddings in Italy to create a wedding in keeping with Italian traditions, but with a modern flair. Herbs and dried florals were festooned above the farmhouse-style tables adorned with centerpieces by Chic Weddings in Italy. We adore the customized food stalls for the aperitif, the printed linen seating plan and table numbers, and the organic way that the wedding blended into the gorgeous surroundings. Les Amis Photo outdid themselves with the spectacular images and cinema, and we are completely head over heels!

Sarah & Benjamin wanted guests to feel like they were entering a magical world when they arrived at their wedding and the day was full of awe-inspiring details which made that vision a reality. From getting married at the castle-like Wonderland Cluj Resort, to the horse-drawn carriage fit for royalty, to the show-stopping, jaw-droppingly lush, floor-to-ceiling florals by Elena Bodea – Las Floristas that filled both the ceremony and reception, guests were transported into a fairy tale for the day. Add to that that these two look like they walked out of a magazine themselves, and this may be one of the most dreamy weddings ever! The gallery is full of more incredible photos by Ioana Porav Photography, from the stunning rose petal seals on the stationery by Invogue Art, to Sarah’s romantic Milla Nova wedding gown (a nod to her Hispanic roots), to even more photos of their unbelievable florals, and trust us, you absolutely want to see them all!

Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

On the day of Katie and Alan’s wedding, Dallas decided to unleash a massive storm, so the couple and their wedding planner, Sarah of Keestone Events, moved their planned outdoor ceremony inside the gorgeous ballroom of Arlington Hall. And while we wouldn’t call a monsoon on your wedding day ideal, we have to say that the stunning indoor celebration may just have been a blessing in disguise! The golden ballroom made a beautiful ceremony and reception setting, and the elegant floral arch by Moss Floral Design did double duty as ceremony altar and a lovely backdrop for the reception! For the reception, white and gold centerpieces enhanced the golden beauty of the ballroom, while a pop of purple echoed the bridesmaids flowing dresses. The result is timeless perfection, beautifully captured by Dyan Kethley Photography!

Lacee and Matt’s vision of an effortless, romantic autumn wedding came to life when they selected the scenic barn at Southwind Hills to play host to their November nuptials. Along with a dream team of Oklahoma wedding pros including the spectacular Poppy Lane Design, the couple designed a wedding filled with lush, natural flowers, candlelight, and dramatic draping. Theirs was a wedding filled with personal touches, from the ceremony altar, handmade by Matt’s family, to Lacee’s garter, sewn by her Great Grandmother, and to commemorate the joining of their families, cherished photos were displayed at the reception. The couple had a hand in each detail, from flowers to fashion. Lacee is the picture of understated elegance in a custom gown from Helen Enox Fine Fabrics and Jimmy Choo heels, and Matt’s bespoke tuxedo from MySuit and Gucci shoes are picture-perfect. Champagne bridesmaids dresses complete the bridal party, with bouquets designed to appear as if they were freshly gathered. The complete devotion and total joy shared by Lacee and Matt is evident in each gorgeous frame captured by Jenny McCann!

Emily and Kraig were married in Emily’s hometown of Lake Forest, Illinois on a gorgeous September day at the elegant Armour House. Their sophisticated soiree celebrated not only their enduring love, but also their families. During the ceremony on the lawn, the couple’s siblings shared words from their parents about marriage as the readings, and both the bride’s and groom’s grandmothers were able to share in the festivities, including a 5-generation photo with Kraig’s family. The theme of the day was “elegant, classic, soft, simple, and beautiful”, and Artquest certainly delivered, with sophisticated arrangements in shades of purple and ivory. We adore the cutout back of Emily’s Pronovias gown, which along with her Kate Spade Charm heels, added a dash of modernity to their timeless day. Jess and Bassey combined neutral tones with a botanical feel for their St. Louis wedding. Kristin Ashley Events curated the event, pulling together bohemian details, such as a feather at each place setting, with organic elements like the unique baby’s breath reception chandelier. Bloomin’ Buckets created centerpieces in accents of pink and green to bring color to the earthy palette of the Forest Park Visitors Center. Each place setting was dressed with a calligraphy quote from the couple’s favorite band, Mumford and Sons. Sadly, Bassey lost his brother, who was to be his best man, three weeks before their wedding. To honor Imoh, the couple had tie bands engraved in his memory for their groomsmen. Every square inch of Laura and Reeve’s Manhattan wedding is spectacular, right down to a surprise fireworks show along the Hudson. It was a gorgeous, sunny Saturday when they said their vows at the Shrine Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, a few blocks from their apartment in SoHo. Laura is a classic bride, selecting a lace Ines Di Santo gown, which she paired with Jimmy Choos and a veil handmade by her mother. We love her sophisticated topknot by Erol Karadag. Pretty violet Amsale bridesmaids dresses provided a pop of color, which carried through to their reception at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, where Diana Gould Ltd created gorgeous centerpieces in shades of violet, plum, and spring green for the tabletops. This Arizona wedding is full of Southwestern charm! Fergus and Amanda are both talented musicians and avid readers, and they incorporated their love for the arts into their vivid and whimsical wedding at El Chorro. Colorful, eclectic details abound at every turn, from the bright orange and red florals by Petal Pusher to the antique gramophone and vintage books in the cocktail hour decor. The couple worked with Outstanding Occasions to bring their vision to life, pulling in details such as bright patterned linens from La Tavola and a stationery suite from Anne Reeser Design with hues perfectly matching Amanda’s bridesmaids’ frocks. NYC has some incredible wedding venues, and Long Island City’s The Foundry is sublimely chic. It was an absolutely perfect setting for Aynsley and Nate’s cozy, modern urban wedding. The couple worked with Saipua to bring their whimsical, rustic vibe to life. From the ceremony’s stunning, wild arbor to the garden-style centerpieces in shades of lavender and blush, Saipua created unique and natural florals to accent the soaring space. The couple paid homage to family tradition by inviting their parents to present well-wishes during the ceremony in lieu of a reading, and their Momofuku Milk Bar cake was adorned with a cake topper used in Aynsley’s parents’ and grandparents’ weddings. Aynsley is a vision in a Stone Fox Bride gown with a simple floral wreath adorning her loose waves. We’re sure you’ll agree that this incredible wedding from Jen Huang Photography is one of this year’s most lovely!

Courtney and Shawn’s wedding at The Little Nell is pure Colorado magic. Though it snowed the next day, their September wedding could not have fallen on a more gorgeous, sunny day. The couple chose bright fall colors to pop against the lush green mountains and worked with the wonderful Lauryl Lane and Virginia of Bluebird Productions to create a beautiful, warm setting amongst the pines and in the dramatic ballroom. Centerpieces of aspen trees and an assortment of fall blooms (loving those orange tulips!) graced the tables and brought the fall foliage indoors. We adore the laid-back Colorado elegance in the stunning images from James Christianson!

We are loving the sophisticated touches in Denis and Roxane’s wedding at Chicago’s Ivy Room! The sleek space is a perfect blank slate, and the couple worked with LK Events to create an elegant and modern setting. Hydrangeas in the fresh palette of day—ivory and spring green—set atop the tables and ceremony aisle markers, and hints of chevron added a bit of playfulness to the scene. After dancing the night away on the floor to Colby Bassera and The Party Faithful, Roxane and Denis tucked into a perfectly petite butter yellow cake from Table 52. We love destination weddings, and what better place to celebrate with your nearest and dearest than the gorgeous island of Maui? The elegant Haiku Mill was home to Jenn and Chris’ dream wedding. The couple enjoyed a week on the island with family and friends, touring their favorite places and enjoying their favorite activities (including a secret hike through a bamboo forest!). Jenn is positively radiant in her Jim Hjelm ballgown—oh how we love her beachy-chic wavy locks! We love a good Southern wedding filled with romantic details, and Justine and Eric’s North Carolina wedding fills the bill perfectly! First stop: St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church for an elegant ceremony, punctuated with divine bold red bridesmaids dresses by Love Lane from Bella Bridesmaids. The pop of color is gorgeous! Justine chose a beaded strapless Pronovias gown and veil, which she accented with jewelry by Sorrelli and metallic heels by Jimmy Choo. To honor her family, Justine also carried her great-grandmother’s rosary and her great-aunt’s handmade purse. Eric carried his grandfather’s ink pen in his Men’s Wearhouse suit, and he also tucked a photo of his great-grandfather in his pocket. We love these sweet details! Classic stationery from Maria Scheel and understated florals in cream and green—including white and ivory hydrangeas, peonies, garden roses, and mini calla lilies—by Kelly Odom marked both the ceremony and reception, with tall trumpet vases spilling fluffy blooms on to tables at Prestonwood Country Club. With direction from A Southern Soiree Wedding & Event Planning, the ballroom was transformed into a gold and cream wonderland for dinner and dancing. Cinda’s Creative Cakes provided the tiered confection, topped simply with white roses. We’re swooning over this beautiful wedding and these images from Nancy Ray!

This uber-mod, chic wedding held at New York’s Three Sixty in Tribeca, is a study in monochromatic palettes and sleek sophistication! All white flowers with pops of green from Ovando keep the vibe romantic and contemporary, with planning from the always flawless Ang Weddings & Events. For the Buddhist ceremony, the bride chose a romantic beaded gown by Monique Lhuillier with a Pronovias belt, while her single bridesmaid wore a white dress with a similar silhouette from Badgley Mischka. Of course, we adore that the couple’s dog participated in the festivities, dressed in his own tux found on eBay!  These images from Susan Stripling are just stunning!

Jenna and Eddie’s modern New York City wedding is filled with color and elegant details that Christine Chang Photography captured in a timeless way! Pinks and purples are woven throughout all of the details, in fuchsia Ralph Lauren bridesmaids dresses, lavender and plum orchids from By Yena Designs, and even in Jenna’s multicolored glitter Jimmy Choo heels. We adore the bold hues against Jenna’s classic Monique Lhuillier gown! The W New York Union Square was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and reception, offering an elegant contemporary space in the middle of the bustling city. Jenna and Eddie worked with Ang Weddings & Events to coordinate their affair, which included orchid details on stationery from In a Card, as well as on the garland cascading down the Ron Ben-Israel Cakes dessert. We’re swooning over this gorgeous celebration!
