Elegant Purple + Gold Arizona Wedding

It’s always sunny in Arizona, and the aptly named Paradise Valley Country Club played host to Kelli and Jon’s beautiful autumn wedding, held on a glorious September day. The couple worked with The Flower Studio to create a classic atmosphere with a soft palette of ivory and a rainbow of purples from lavender to plum. The overall effect was stunning! Kelli’s Wtoo by Watters gown and the bridesmaids’ Jenny Yoo frocks were perfectly complemented by bouquets of dahlia, rose, thistle, and dusty miller, while Jon donned a Hugo Boss tuxedo. We’re loving all of the light and airy images by Amy & Jordan!

Kristi and Ryan’s beautiful garden-themed wedding was held at the picturesque Trilogy At Vistancia Kiva Club in Peoria, Arizona. The natural beauty of the location inspired the lush pastel color palette of the day. Working with Nicole Arend Wedding and Events, the couple brought to life the colors of a spring wonderland, with blush, lavender, and pale robin’s egg bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal and luscious garden arrangements from Ever After Florals, including a showstopping floral arch of hydrangea, garden roses, and swaths of eucalyptus. And, a seating chart on a faux greenery wall was the talk of the cocktail hour! Kristi is radiant in a Blush By Hayley Paige gown fit for a princess and flowing braided curls designed by Amanda Victoria Beauty. Erin and David selected the elegant Belmond El Encanto in Santa Barbara for their July nuptials. Erin was inspired by the idea of a Southern garden—lush, lively, and romantic—and worked with Precious & Blooming to craft a “perfectly imperfect” feel, mixing white, ivory, and light gold blooms, surrounded by swaths of greenery. After a showstopping ceremony set around the lily pond with a dramatic altar draped with fabric and dressed with greenery, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with “Babes and Bombers” cocktails (a nod to their softball team) and a Polaroid guest book, before moving inside the ballroom for the reception, where they danced the night away to the tunes of Gold Standard. Erin shares “The end of the night was one of my favorite memories. There was a grand piano in our venue and our best man, Matthew Walker, started playing. Everyone gathered around and sang along with him to “Rocket Man” while I sat on the piano, straight out of an old movie. At the top of the chorus, everyone would through petals in the air, making the most incredible smelling confetti.” We are smitten with every gorgeous image from Jillian Rose Photography!

Sun-drenched Scottsdale is a spectacular setting, and we’re obsessed with Andrea and Cody’s wedding at The Country Club at DC Ranch. The couple enlisted the help of Jennifer Thye from Imoni Events to design their big day, and she made full use of the gorgeous Arizona backdrop! Centerpieces of seeded eucalyptus, hydrangea, and roses from Petal Pusher set atop wooden tables from Event Rents and circled a lovely cake from Ruze Cake House. Mirrors and pretty pieces of mercury glass added sparkle and reflected the beautiful string lights from above. We absolutely adore each and every beautiful image—especially the breathtaking desert scenes—in the images from Amy & Jordan Photography!

We have the most beautiful, classic Chicago wedding to share today! Olivia and Jeff were married at the historical Rookery Building and its breathtaking interior was the inspiration for their elegant black, white, and gold color palette. Timeless glamour was the theme of the day, and Olivia is sophisticated and glamorous in a mermaid Vera Wang gown and Valentino heels, her maids chic in Jenny Yoo‘s Annabelle dress in black. Juliet Tan Floral Design accented the beauty of the ballroom with arrangements of white and ivory peonies, hydrangea and roses set atop sleek black linen. We love how classic meets modern in the pretty Amy Beck Cake Design cake and bold black envelopes with gold calligraphy from Chips and Salsa Designs. Maryam and Josh’s Utah wedding is absolutely breathtaking! Held at Sandy’s stunning La Caille restaurant, the natural elegance of the venue took a central role in the day. The couple’s interfaith ceremony was held at the base of the Wasatch mountains, alongside the vineyard, and featured customs from both her Persian and his Jewish cultures.After a patio cocktail hour, guests were escorted to their tables with champagne flutes adorned with mint, blackberry, and a table number scroll. La Fete accented the draping greenery of the surroundings with lush eucalyptus and ivy, rich floral in shades of green and burgundy, and glowing candlelight from silver candelabras. Burgundy dahlias and chocolate lace flowers add a pop of deep color to the greenery garlands and eucalyptus sprigs at each place setting. The traditional Sofreh Aghd featured items personally selected by Maryam’s grandmother and mother in the bazaars in Iran, and of course, everyone joined in for the Jewish Horah! Patrice and Nick met in one of the most unique ways we’ve heard of: the pair were production assistants on former TV sitcom “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. They started out as friends and their relationship bloomed from there, ultimately with an inventive engagement proposal that involved Patrice’s boss (read more below about that fun tale). They wanted a wedding that drew in their love for California, Patrice’s Filipino heritage, and an overwhelming elegance and thoughtfulness. Sabine Scherer Photography captured their wedding, from the stunning ceremony at Patrice’s family church, St. Dominic Catholic Church to their Bently Reserve reception. Their reception venue is hailed for its opulence, so to add balance, Mango Muse Events and Violetta Flowers pulled in live trees, organic asymmetrical elements and garlands, and added meaningful orchids and roses (as an homage to family that had passed on). Of course, fun had to be had, so to kick off their reception, the newlyweds partnered up to do a medley dance that ended with hip hop. We love all of the injections of Patrice and Nick’s fun personalities and fascinating lives all throughout their big day.

One gaze at this wedding and it would be hard to imagine that Leah and Andy wanted a laid-back fête to reflect their easygoing selves because their wedding is dripping with classic elements. To say the least, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is an old world vision that Renee Lemaire Photography certainly captured at the Porter’s big day. Every aspect of the grounds exudes romance and the whole place looks like it was plucked out of a fairytale. Leah recalls going to Stan Hywet often as a little girl, so she knew it was THE place and after showing Andy, they were both hooked and began dreaming up their wedding. Their September wedding day consisted of a delicate cream and ivory palette with dabs of blush, expert florals by The Budding Tree, and ending the night twirling away underneath the trees and the stars.

The historical Vinoy in St Petersburg is a throwback to old Florida, and a dreamy setting for a classic wedding! Michelle and Colton chose to hold their ceremony in the lush tea garden, its fountain dripping in garlands from Marigold Flower Co, and then treated their guests to a gorgeous reception in the ballroom, where the blush and gold palette beautifully balanced the architecture. From the letterpress invitations by Olivia Grace Paperie to the images captured on film by The Ganeys, every detail is timeless and chic!

Kelsea and Joseph pictured “greenery and lights and dancing under the stars” for their wedding day, and their love of the outdoors led them to Fort Worth’s Heart of the Ranch. Nestled along the Trinity River and with a canopy of trees, it was the perfect setting for their romantic soiree. They were married under stunning floral arch from R Love Floral, and their tented reception featured cascading florals on the head table, a donut wall, and the most perfect greenery chandelier above the dance floor! There was even a beer wall where custom monogrammed cups set as favors. A subtle golf theme (Joseph is a golf lover!) played throughout, with a golf bag groom’s cake, flag escort cards, and even lawn games including a golf-themed cornhole game. Kasey and Sean wanted a relaxed, carefree atmosphere for their destination wedding, so they selected The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island to host their early summer soiree. Working with Yoj Events to plan from afar, they created a classic, timeless feel with a seaside color palette. Kasey found her “dream dress” in a sophisticated Pronovias lace gown, and Sean selected a classic blue suit. We love this beautiful waterside wedding and all of the gorgeous moments captured by Jennings King Photography!

The Ringling Museum is Sarasota’s most spectacular setting, so when Kim and Christian conveyed their vision to NK Productions Wedding Planning, they chose to accentuate the courtyard with lush greenery, white blooms, and pops of burgundy blooms. Victoria Blooms mixed anemones, garden roses, and delphinium to create a romantic, organic feel underneath trees festooned with chandeliers. The scrumptious cake from The Cake Zone was half key lime and half mango—true Florida flavors!—and featured a blue ombre design to add a pop of whimsy and color to the warm and neutral reception. Meghan says “I was never the girl that had dreams of my wedding and had everything planned out! But I did come to the realization, very quickly, that I wanted it to be simple, elegant and FULL of candlelight.” With this simple but classic ambiance in mind, Meghan and Josh enlisted NK Productions Wedding Planning to bring their vision to life. The couple fell in love with the ornate details of The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club. The resort reflects the grandeur of a golden age, and NK Productions and Victoria Blooms accentuated the venue’s charm with florals of ivory and white set in glittering gold vessels, loads of candlelight, and a spectacular ivy ceremony backdrop that was the perfect setting for the couple’s outdoor ceremony. Hang and Hao’s romantic wedding at Livermore, CA’s Murrieta’s Well has all of our favorite things: a colorful palette, personal touches, stunning fashion, and incredible images! Inspired by the vineyards surrounding the winery, the couple wanted an organic feel for their event, and Sachi from Delphinium Floral Design outdid herself creating lush arrangements of peonies, garden roses, and blushing bride protea. Crisp white calligraphy, hand-lettered by Hang, and vintage stamps dressed Minted agate invitations, and the adorable animal place card holders were spray-painted by the couple, adding a special charm to the table setting. Silk ties hand-dyed with organic elements such as tea and beet adorned the favors. We are completely spellbound by every image by Kate Anfinson!

Amanda and Mike’s vision of an intimate and elegant Arizona desert wedding came to life working with Tie the Knot by Tessa. The Boulders Resort was the perfect setting for their destination soiree, as Mike is an avid golfer and visits Arizona throughout the year. The couple selected their florals to represent the locale, and Butterfly Petals created gorgeous arrangements of succulents, greenery, and purple blooms, and boutonnieres of succulents with golf tees to represent their favorite hobby! Amanda’s Willowby gown stole the show, with its intricate back and lace details, and we are totally crushing on the bridesmaids’ BHLDN separates—the perfect modern and chic look. Dominique and Blake’s vision for their Scottsdale wedding was pure romance, and working alongside Jennifer Ellis of White House Design Studio, their ideas transformed into reality. The couple, dating since their sophomore year of college, were joined at the Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia by family and friends who had watched their love blossom over the years. A vivid color palette of berry, wine, and ivory was selected to enhance the beauty of their desert setting, and White House Design Studio created arrangements overflowing with orchid, hydrangea, and magnolia leaves to festoon the ceremony arch and adorn the luxurious reception tables. In lieu of traditional place cards, guests received hand-calligraphed notes in ivory ribbon-wrapped boxes, the notes serving as a warm thank you from the couple for joining them to celebrate their special day. Megan and Louis’ June wedding was held in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. The pavilion of Pere Marquette Park, on the shores of the Milwaukee River, set the stage for their outdoor ceremony, with the cityscape gleaming in the background. The Milwaukee County Historical Society, a former bank with an elegant, vintage ambiance, provided the perfect setting for their reception, complete with stunning trumpet centerpieces by Gracious Events, signature drinks chosen by the couple, and a wedding cake made by one of Louis’ family friends. The theme of the day was “Our Best Day Ever!” and to celebrate, Megan presented Louis with a priceless book filled with notes and letters she had penned during their engagement. Megan also designed the programs, place cards and welcome signs with stationery from Paper Source. In fact, the day was filled with personal touches. Megan’s Casablanca gown included swatches of her family members’ gowns sewn into the dress lining. Also, the couple keep bee hives, so the guests were presented with jars of honey as favors! At the end of the reception, a pathway of luminarias led guests to a bridge for a dramatic and unforgettable sky lantern launch. Every moment of Megan and Louis’ day is filled with love and joy, and it is beautifully captured in these images from m three studio photography!

Katie and Collin’s Santa Barbara wedding is complete and total perfection. The couple was engaged in Jackson Square in New Orleans, and they brought the Big Easy to the West Coast, where they currently live. Their oceanside ceremony was followed by a traditional Second Line, and they danced the night away to Louis Armstrong. Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore is a lush oasis, and the couple worked with Central Coast Memory Makers to bring their vision of traditional elegance to life. Precious and Blooming Floral brought a touch of the South to the arrangements, adding magnolia leaves to the florals. The beautiful greenery brings out the beauty of the surroundings. Every single image from Rebekah Westover Photography is utterly stunning!

I may be a bit biased, but Chicago’s skyline is absolute perfection. And it’s on full display in Sarah and Greg’s gorgeous May wedding at the Millennium Knickerbocker, planned by Lola Event Productions. Almost all of the couple’s guests traveled to Chicago for the wedding, so they wanted to plan an elegant urban wedding showing off the best the city had to offer! The Michigan Avenue hotel’s ornate Crystal Ballroom was home to both the elegant ceremony and the reception, which featured an array of classic floral arrangements by Exquisite Designs atop glitzy gold linens. Pretty pink napkins folded into bows dressed the hotel’s traditional art deco inspired china. We adore the traditional vibe of the long, stunning head table for the wedding party, which was awash in a sea of candles in front of dramatic ivory draping. Ending the evening? A delectable buffet of traditional Chicago treats, including deep dish pizza, mini hot dogs, and Italian beef sandwiches. This quintessential Chicago wedding is one of our favorites, and we love each beautiful image from Emilia Jane Photography!

Kim and Baback’s St. Louis wedding is absolutely enchanting! The couple wanted their wedding to be very classic and elegant, while giving nods to both of their families and cultures. Baback’s Persian culture was represented in the Sofreh Aghd—the traditional Persian wedding table, where each item on the table has a symbolic meaning for the life of the newly-married couple—and their Roman Catholic ceremony at Saint Francis Xavier College Church honored Kim’s family traditions. Kim’s bouquet from Belli Fiori was wrapped with a lace glove from her paternal grandmother’s wedding and decorated with earrings and charms from her maternal grandmother’s wedding. Their reception in The Coronado‘s ballroom featured soft pastel florals of garden roses, hydrangea and ranunculus, and each succulent (which doubled as place cards and favors) was planted by the bride’s mother.
