Light + Airy Loft Wedding Inspiration

Any way you spin the color green in a wedding palette, it is quite the versatile shade. From soft pastels like mint or sage to deep hues like the beautiful emerald or hunter green, you can easily use this earthy color at any wedding during any time of the year if you fancy it. It’s so timeless and we’re glad that wedding extraordinaires like Olive Fine Weddings & Events and Alexandra Lee ran on the same wavelength as us. This styled shoot has a hefty helping of green all over it, and if you take out the seemingly wintry elements to this inspo, you can readily use it all throughout the year. The luxe blooms by Willrett Flower Co. (check out the installation framing the sweetheart table!) may need some tweaking when it comes to what’s in season and what’s in your area, but no matter if you’re a spring or summer bride-to-be eyeing this shade of green, you’ll certainly get the same gorgeous effect that Alexandra snapped for us.

This romantic and intimate editorial shoot is set in a field of wildflowers at the Green Door Gourmet farm in Nashville.  Styled by RSVP Events, the design features hues of pinks, peaches, and yellows, with gold and lilac accents for the perfect romantic summer wedding.  The ceremony setting is a gorgeous floral arbor in the wildflower field, with a table, bar, cake, and a champagne/cocktail cart nearby. 

Today’s wedding inspiration comes from the idea that downsizing your guest list and implementing social distancing measures into your big day does not mean that you have to downsize your vision! Magnolia Celebrates shows us ways to elevate your wedding style, such as using smaller, more intimate tables and creating unique tablescapes or place settings for each, using stately plate covers for a plated meal, or displaying a faux wedding cake throughout the event. The team behind today’s post was inspired by the old Spanish architecture of the venue. They incorporated shades of mauve, brick, cappuccino, and sage into the tablescapes, each table getting a unique set of linens and gorgeous florals by Flowers By Yona. So many wonderful ideas from this shoot and these photos by Caroline Willett are sure to give you lots of ideas for your own wedding, whether it will be in the time of social distancing or not!

A backdrop of verdant green climbing ivy and dreamy painterly florals would play a muse for any impressionist artist, so it’s no wonder that Indigo Event Design chose the stunning gardens and chateau of Monet Vineyards for this Claude Monet-inspired shoot. BLUE Floral Company created a pastel rainbow of locally-sourced florals to paint the outdoor ceremony space and stunning bouquet that is worthy of Monet’s brush itself. Lush centerpieces of coral and butter yellow peonies, lavender scabiosa, and dusty blush roses sit atop a french blue table, with just the right touch of regal elegance from gold flatware and chargers. Romantic and intimate, these photos by RTFaith Photography prove that even a micro-wedding can be a fairytale wedding too!

While the color palette of a fall wedding is often full of bold shades, this neutral and natural inspiration from the lens of The Simmons Photography really caught our eye. Julia and her equally-impressive team of fellow wedding vendors took a brief departure away from the tried-and-true jewel tones and went stark white and toned down for fall. Layers of cream and ivory enhanced the pristine white room and hints of dried florals from Evergreen Flower Co. provided just the right amount of color. This color palette and design would work beautifully throughout all seasons of the year, especially if you incorporated a lively background like a sage green wall! It’s a great pop of color and you know us: we’re all for stand-out details.

Hands down, an all-white wedding is the utter classic wedding palette. It will go down in wedding inspiration history as one of our favorites here on EAD. As simple as it is, a white color scheme can make a wedding feel so luxurious and elegant and the varieties are endless. In this captivating Flora Bloom Photography editorial at the bright white Venue 1902, Pearl White Events (how perfect) opted for a soft, creamy white and ran amok with it. The venue is painted in a stark white, so gingerly toning the room down with ivory linen-clad tables dotted with blush and gold details and foliage was an exquisite idea. Punctuating it with a cleanly-done ceremony section with heaps of green space and a brick-lined lounge area makes this styled shoot chic, modern, and timeless to boot.

Mariana and Salazar’s Portugal wedding is a little slice of perfection! Mariana, an event planner, envisioned a classic wedding with a modern twist and the couple selected a timeless palette of white, green, and gold. Solar de Levada was the perfect setting. Elegant florals and candlelight were accented with on-trend geometric elements, from the hanging seating chart to circular taper candle holders, and even a greenery-adorned swing for guests to enjoy! Mariana chose a sophisticated Rosa Clara gown featuring a detatchable skirt (and pockets!), and accented the gorgeous gown with 92-year-old earrings gifted to her gread-grandmother by her great-grandfather on their wedding day. Salazar donned a chic suit/tuxedo mix, and a watch gifted to him by friends for his thirtieth birthday. The couple sprinkled their day with many handmade elements, from “tears of joy” tissue packets to little hangover kits for guests, and created some fun photobooth signage, which was a hit! The luxurious The St. Regis Dubai was the inspiration for this stunning styled editorial from Olga Che of Save the Date. Selecting a color palette of taupe, ivory, and brass to echo the hotel’s grand staircase and silk-embellished walls, Olga worked with Firenze Florals to create a tablescape with an opulent, elegant feel. Blown glass chargers, a sea of taper candles in a mix of neutral and metallic colors, and a mix of low and high centerpieces with areca palm leaves graced the table, each place setting fitted with a gold palm leaf detail, a nod to the locale. The overall effect is glamorous yet understated, as are the bridal looks styled by MHG Beauty featuring both a classic ballgown and a crystal beaded mermaid gown from Vanila Wedding Boutique. The entire scene is the height of sophistication, and beautifully captured by Enchante Studio!

It’s a crisp, stunning fall morning here in Chicago, and we can’t think of anything more perfect to start the day than this glamorous approach to autumn designed by Emily Sullivan Events. With the stunning Marché as the setting, the team re-imagined traditional fall weddings with a modern color palette of peach, metallics, coral, and gray. Nola-Flora and Firefly Ambiance created mesmerizing visuals with floral runners, Middle Eastern-inspired lanterns, a sea of candles, and metallic branches. A petite cake with gold accents from Bittersweet Confections completes the scene. Totally loving this unexpected take on our favorite season and all of the images by Maile Lani Photography!

With its light, airy feel, this romantic wedding inspiration designed by the gorgeous and talented Louise Beukes is beyond stunning! A unique color palette of copper, blue, apricot, and rust is truly seasonless and perfect for the chic and stylish couple. Flowing silks from Kate Cullen and loose, delicate blooms designed by Bo Boutique are soft and elegant, while mini cakes from Claire Owen Cakes and agate place cards calligraphed by Oh Wonder Calligraphy add a whimsical and unexpected touch. And speaking of unexpected, the whitewashed loft setting is turned into a garden wonderland with loose branches added as a backdrop for the jaw-droppingly beautiful tabletop! There are some days that are simply perfect, and today is one of those days, because at long last, we are debuting Aisle Society to the world, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the absolutely gorgeous Aisle Society official brand shoot that I styled with Lauren of Every Last Detail and a dream team of Chicago’s best wedding pros at downtown’s most fabulous wedding venue, Chez. Together with the ladies from Estera Events, we set out to create an event that would showcase all of the things that Aisle Society represents: fun, friendship, community, and of course, utterly beautiful wedding inspiration! Dramatic draping from Drape Kings was the centerpiece of the room, swathed along the ceiling and leading to a ceremony altar flanked by simple but show-stopping eucalyptus arrangements from Fleur. In the rest of the details, we bathed the whitewashed space in color! Our gorgeous ladies donned frocks from Bella Bridesmaids and David’s Bridal in shades from blush to dusty blue and flowing Truvelle and Sarah Seven bridal gowns, carrying bouquets of vibrant summer blooms. The modern but elegant tabletop features glimmering sequin linens and rose gold chargers and amazing confetti popper menus from Sarah Drake Design. The breathtaking beauty of the Colorado Rockies and Vail’s Piney River Ranch is the backdrop for today’s inspiration shoot, and the one-of-a-kind location truly sets a spectacular stage. Surrounded by seemingly uninterrupted wilderness, rustic charm abounds. We love this unique take on a mountain wedding, which features industrial elements and metallics that bring a bit of the city to the ranch. By mixing rose gold, copper, gold, and silver with unique touches such as Edison lights and marquee letters, Pink Diamond Events brought a heightened sense of style to a traditional setting. Lush and earthy florals from Petals and Pours grace the table from Old Wood Soul, which was paired with modern copper chairs from Ecletic Hive. A white cake from Megan Joy Cakes with feather accents brings a delicate final touch. There is so much to love in these gorgeous images from Danielle DeFiore!

There simply isn’t one single thing we don’t adore about Jen and Jesse’s modern Brooklyn wedding. Rather than a formal dinner, the couple chose to enjoy a progressive cocktail party with their guests, a perfect mix of formality and casualness. Liberty Warehouse set the perfect scene with its industrial aesthetic. The organic greenery from Violet and Verde highlighted the brick, wood, and metal throughout the venue. As if their locale couldn’t get more breathtaking, Jen’s father created a wooden altar from scratch that, paired with Violet and Verde‘s floral, made an exquisite and personal ceremony backdrop. Jen is a vision in her Blush by Hayley Paige dress from The White Gown and the bridesmaids’ dresses add just the right pop of color. Even their choice of wedding date is perfection—they were married on Loving Day, the anniversary of the overturning of the criminalization of interracial marriage in the US. Be still our hearts. Sara Cangueiro from Hoje é especial designed this ethereal inspiration shoot around the theme “Love is the salt of life”. Her vision of a timeless and romantic wedding was brought to life with a neutral color palette and a stunning setting. Seixas do Minho, Portugal’s Villa Idalina has an almost other-worldly feel, its stately ceilings and paneled walls in the most perfect shade of blue and gold. The gorgeous florals by Hoje é especial added a romantic touch to the intimate table setting for two. Janine is resplendent in a Jesus Peiro Porto gown and gold jewelry from Jewellery for Al, with tousled waves by Pedro Ferreira and soft makeup by Makeup By Bárbara Brandão. A simple cake with sugar laurel leaves from Peace of Cake is delicately placed on a wood console, and taper candles alight the room. We are utterly in love with each frame from Momento Cativo!

We couldn’t imagine a more beautiful inspiration shoot for this first week of March than this pretty pastel goodness from Swoon Floral Design and Jamie Rae Photo! With a vision of romantic cream and rose as their guide, they brought in white vintage furniture from Classic Vintage Rentals, antique gold rimmed vintage plates, and beautiful hand-scripted calligraphy by Portland Palomino. Kim of Swoon Floral Design created a soft centerpiece in shades of blush and buttery yellow featuring hydrangea, roses, and wax flower. Jein King styled an elegant updo with a floral crown by Amanda Judge which transferred easily into a loose braid, and a Leanne Marshall gown from The English Department provided two looks in one with its lacy jacket overlay. We are completely smitten with each and every frame from Jamie Rae Photo!

Meg and Matt were married on a gorgeous fall day in Cambridge, MA at the lovely Multicultural Arts Center. The couple were instantly charmed by the historical venue with its gorgeous high mint and gold ceiling and urban, sophisticated feel. With the color palette of the venue as their inspiration, they selected florals from Nature’s Design in neutral white and ivory, with wild touches such as branches, berries, and succulents. Meg’s bridesmaids each selected a beaded or sequin metallic dress and—paired with her chic Nicole Miller gown—the effect is spectacular! Meg’s father home-brewed 40 growlers of beer, which he drove to Massachusetts from Iowa, inspiring the reception’s “I-90 Beer Bar”, and he also collected vintage beer glasses, which were served at the bar and doubled as favors. We love all of the couple’s personal touches such as a playful Jenga guest book, feather place cards, and cannolis in place of a traditional cake! We adore each lovely image from George Rivera!

Sophisticated and ethereal, this inspiration shoot is all about Old World elegance. Joy Proctor brought the glamour and mystery of the Middle East to life, with lanterns, hand lettering from Julie Song Ink, and fabulous gold jewelry to pair with an absolutely stunning Amanda Wakeley gown. An elegant bouquet of green hellebores—tied with Silk & Willow ribbon—is an unexpected and unique choice, the soft petals perfectly contrast with the gown’s geometric beading and Kalyn’s dramatic hair and makeup by Luna Bella. We are utterly in love with these gorgeous images from Kina Wicks!

We are loving the sophisticated touches in Denis and Roxane’s wedding at Chicago’s Ivy Room! The sleek space is a perfect blank slate, and the couple worked with LK Events to create an elegant and modern setting. Hydrangeas in the fresh palette of day—ivory and spring green—set atop the tables and ceremony aisle markers, and hints of chevron added a bit of playfulness to the scene. After dancing the night away on the floor to Colby Bassera and The Party Faithful, Roxane and Denis tucked into a perfectly petite butter yellow cake from Table 52. This shoot, created for V4 of the fabulous Southern Weddings magazine, has just about every fabulously preppy detail you can imagine: Seersucker, monograms, magnolia leaves, a green and white color palette, and it was even all inspired by a polo match! While the impeccably styled tablescape by Calder Clark Designs has us craving a mint julep, it’s the fun, striped bridesmaids’ outfits that make us do a double-take! They are so cute and definitely something your ladies could wear again. We can’t say enough how much we love this amazing styled shoot, but be warned: these images by A Bryan Photo could quite possibly make you to stop whatever you’re doing and search for the nearest polo club!
