Welcome To The Weekend

Our week is complete and as we reminisce about the beauty that unfolded on our blog and beyond, we cannot help but pinch ourselves as we featured so many lovely details and welcomed a few fabulous vendors to the EAD family! New York-based photographer, Michelle Lange‘s love for weddings and her ability to capture soft, romantic, and inviting images that showcase the emotion and beauty within their stories has captured our hearts. Invision Events is the go-to for any Southern bride looking for the perfect wedding planner to bring her wedding day vision to life and we could not be happier to have Courtney and Julie in the EAD family. As an award winning editorial wedding photographer with a classic style, Emilia Jane Photography‘s imagery is filled with beauty and emotion and we are so excited about her addition to the NYC vendor guide!

Fragrant and beautiful, lavender brings an understated, rustic elegance to any event. Whether sprinkled into cocktails or as a crown adorning your flower girl’s head, we adore adding a lovely dose of lavender for a summer soiree!

Photographer Eric Kelley and Lora Kelley and Mallory Joyce envisioned an urban, chic elopement in Chicago, and we’re completely enamored with the styled shoot these creative minds crafted. Models were striking in Oscar de la Renta, Manolo Blahnik and J. Crew. Vale of Enna designed moody flower arrangements made of succulents, anemones, roses, air plants and more, adding depth to the already varied backdrop of Prairie Street Brewhouse. The paper suite created by MaeMae Paperie is modern, yet classic—we love the pop of color inside the envelopes and the green hue that brightens this shoot!

As 2020 draws to a close and we usher in a new year with its new hopes and goals, there’s guaranteed to be quite a bit of celebrating around the world. And while our celebrations are sure to look different than they usually do, whether it’s a cozy night at home watching the virtual stream of the Times Square ball drop, or counting down over a zoom party with friends, there’s still nothing that marks a celebration more than with a good toast! Champagne or sparkling wine usually take centerstage during these moments, both in weddings and on New Year’s Eve, and there’s really no reason not to break out or break in some new glasses to start making memories now! So whether you’re toasting to a new name or a new year, here are some of our favorite glasses to help ring in the occasion!

This weekend marks the official kickoff of summer and wedding season is in full swing. These summer wedding ideas will have you planning an unforgettable celebration in no time.

It’s Valentine’s Day, and as we all know, Valentine’s is meant to be enjoyed with the one(s) you love, so what better way to celebrate than with a fabulous Galentine’s Day brunch! Emily Elizabeth Events created this adorable “Girl Gang Gathering”, where she and several of her closest friends came together to sip, eat, chat, make Valentine’s Day cards, and create floral arrangements, and this is one party we wish we could attend! Pink and gold stationery from Paper Delights invited each lady to the gathering, where they were greeted with balloons festooning the entrance to Seattle’s Ollie Quinn and the most gorgeous tabletop with florals by Emily Elizabeth Events and dusty pink linens from La Tavola. We’re loving chic and modern details like acrylic standing mirrors, cut-out name place cards, and pink lip cookies, and the romance and elegance of the compote centerpieces, textured fabrics, and vintage trays displaying sips and bites. Galentine’s has never looked so fabulous and we are head over heels for every moment, captured beautifully on film by Blue Rose Photography!

Have you heard the news? Greenery is Pantone’s color of the year for 2017! Incredibly elegant and sophisticated, greenery transforms bouquets, drapery, tablescapes, and even chandeliers into woodland works of floral art.

Josie and Whit’s sophisticated Atlanta wedding is equal parts elegant and fun! The stunning Biltmore Ballrooms, with its lofty ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and Palladian windows, set the stage for a formal but not at all stuffy soiree. Invision Events designed a  reception with a classic feel that focused on the beauty of the location and romantic rose and hydrangea centerpieces by Tulip. Josie is a vision in a timeless Anne Barge lace gown from The White Room with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a perfect sideswept ponytail. Josie describes their wedding as “the best party I’ve ever been to” and we know guests adored dancing the night away to tunes from the Fountain City Players. Rachel and Clark were married on a crisp, clear Alabama winter day. After attending a number of wonderful but scorching summer soirees, the couple selected January 23rd (1/23!) for their nuptials, and after they chose the date, they realized that the “stars” were literally aligned for the occasion: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were in perfect alignment! Whether it was due to the celestial phenomenon or the flawless execution by Invision Events—or both!—their day went off without a hitch. After a private ceremony in their church during winter’s golden hour, the couple and their guests made their way to the Birmingham Museum of Art, where everyone enjoyed fantastic food from A Social Affair and danced the night away to the Chad Fisher Group. We love the unexpected color palette of marsala, ice blue, and ivory, brought to life in exquisite florals from Buffy Hargett. Many of the larger arrangements featured unusual combinations such as kale, turnips, pomegranate, and quince, which blooms only in January! As Thanksgiving approaches, we have been busy planning our tablescapes, dinner menu, and preparing for house guests and travel plans. In the midst of our hectic schedules, it has been so important for us to remember the meaning behind next week’s holiday.
