Romantic Rocky Mountain Wedding

Secluded and covered with a canopy of towering oak trees, Antebellum Oaks Venue was instantly Taylor and Tyler’s choice for their warm, elegant, and romantic fall wedding. Taylor chose rich hues of emerald, plum, ivory, and mauve for their stunning florals by Remi and Gold which blended seamlessly with the venue’s natural beauty. Style was high on their list of priorities for the day, so it’s no surprise that the couple knocked it out of the park with the timeless and elegant bridal party attire and Taylor’s jaw-dropping gown (and cape!) which looks like it’s straight out of a royal portrait! Both big and small, Kelly Costello Photography captured all the the unique details and special moments of their day, the biggest one being a surprise performance by Tyler’s favorite band! Kathryn and Mark’s wedding was inspired by roots and wood grain, a metaphor for putting roots down: the strength and malleability of wood and the importance of building something with a strong foundation together. The couple illustrated the theme in creative and meaningful ways, from the wooden invitations by Spilled Ink Press to wooden tables and barnwood planter boxes handmade by the groom’s father and laser-cut place cards for each guest. The wide-plank floors and floor to ceiling windows of The Chapel at Montage Palmetto Bluff needed no decoration, but Kathryn and Mark and Spencer Special Events left not a detail uncovered in the spectacular tented reception. Em Creative Floral created chandeliers dripping with greenery and centerpieces of lush, snowy white blooms provided a gorgeous soft contrast to the wooden and metallic elements featured throughout. Hang and Hao’s romantic wedding at Livermore, CA’s Murrieta’s Well has all of our favorite things: a colorful palette, personal touches, stunning fashion, and incredible images! Inspired by the vineyards surrounding the winery, the couple wanted an organic feel for their event, and Sachi from Delphinium Floral Design outdid herself creating lush arrangements of peonies, garden roses, and blushing bride protea. Crisp white calligraphy, hand-lettered by Hang, and vintage stamps dressed Minted agate invitations, and the adorable animal place card holders were spray-painted by the couple, adding a special charm to the table setting. Silk ties hand-dyed with organic elements such as tea and beet adorned the favors. We are completely spellbound by every image by Kate Anfinson!

Kristina and Will’s Chicago wedding is a romantic affair with timeless decor, lush florals, and a bit of vintage charm! They were married at Salvatore’s in the heart of Lincoln Park, the same neighborhood where they met over 7 years before. The couple and their bridal party spent the afternoon visiting several iconic Chicago landmarks, including the Wrigley Building, and enjoying the Air and Water Show from their balcony at the Waldorf-Astoria. Kristina’s beaded Galina Signature gown from David’s Bridal is absolutely exquisite. The bouquets from A Stem Above feature the most soft and lovely blush dahlias, astilbe, and garden roses, with a pop of black dahlias in the bridesmaids’ bouquets, magical against their taupe Lela Rose gowns! We adore the personal elements that Kristina and Will infused into their day, including a signature cocktail called the Yum Yum (named after their cat and her sparkly personality!) and their donations to charities close to their hearts in lieu of favors. We adore classic, intimate weddings, just like Sylvie and Andrew’s beautiful Virginia dinner party at Salamander Resort and Spa. A garden ceremony led into a fabulous dinner party for their 25 guests, with an elegant table designed by Floral & Bloom Designs. The dining room’s beautiful chandeliers were decorated with greenery and roses, adding a special touch to the estate table with fabric runner and pretty posies. A hand-tied bridal bouquet full of blush peonies, astilbe, veronica, garden roses, dusty miller, and greenery perfectly complemented Sylvie’s lace gown and statement bracelet from Debby Hoffman Bridal. Romantic and classic, with a bit of vintage flair (oh how we love the BHLDN booties and Allure Bridal gown), Karen and Corey’s wedding at Colorado’s historic Stanley Hotel is the perfect early-autumn soiree! Elegant compote-style arrangements by The European Flower Shop set the stage, beautiful hand-tied bouquets and centerpieces with seasonal berries and pale yellow blooms. The couple set out to create an intimate and personal event (their siblings were the honor attendants), and wove a polaroid theme throughout the day. They selected favorite photos to make into polaroids for innovative escort cards and table numbers. We simply adore the beautiful images from Rachel Havel Photography!

Maryam and Josh’s Utah wedding is absolutely breathtaking! Held at Sandy’s stunning La Caille restaurant, the natural elegance of the venue took a central role in the day. The couple’s interfaith ceremony was held at the base of the Wasatch mountains, alongside the vineyard, and featured customs from both her Persian and his Jewish cultures.After a patio cocktail hour, guests were escorted to their tables with champagne flutes adorned with mint, blackberry, and a table number scroll. La Fete accented the draping greenery of the surroundings with lush eucalyptus and ivy, rich floral in shades of green and burgundy, and glowing candlelight from silver candelabras. Burgundy dahlias and chocolate lace flowers add a pop of deep color to the greenery garlands and eucalyptus sprigs at each place setting. The traditional Sofreh Aghd featured items personally selected by Maryam’s grandmother and mother in the bazaars in Iran, and of course, everyone joined in for the Jewish Horah! Claudia and Greg chose the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove in Miami for their wedding festivities because the South Florida location represents their family roots but the look of the venue called to mind their former loft in Denver and their current home in Brooklyn. It’s a gorgeous estate by the water, which was a lovely site for an outdoor ceremony. Claudia looked amazing in a Watters gown from RK Bridal, paired with vintage jewelry and blush shoes from BHLDN that remind us of Old Hollywood. Lush blooms of peonies, hydrangeas and roses from Glady’s Flowers are a classic and elegant choice, and we love the earthiness of the dusty miller that’s mixed in Claudia’s bouquet. Thanks to the one-stop help of Exquisite Productions, who coordinated the wedding day, catering, rentals, linens, and DJ for their laid-back reception, Claudia and Greg didn’t have to worry about the details of their day. Kristen and Daniel’s wedding day was filled to the brim with festivities and honored each of their family’s cultures with two separate wedding ceremonies! The celebration began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony where the bride and groom served tea to each set of parents to show their respect and gratitude. Later in the day, Kristen changed from her vibrant red gown to a romantic lace BHLDN gown for a Jewish ceremony under a stunning chuppah decorated with blush, peach, and ivory roses and peonies by Holly Chapple Flowers. They ended the evening with dinner, dancing, and even a sparker send-off filled with cheers from all their closest friends and family. Patrice and Nick met in one of the most unique ways we’ve heard of: the pair were production assistants on former TV sitcom “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. They started out as friends and their relationship bloomed from there, ultimately with an inventive engagement proposal that involved Patrice’s boss (read more below about that fun tale). They wanted a wedding that drew in their love for California, Patrice’s Filipino heritage, and an overwhelming elegance and thoughtfulness. Sabine Scherer Photography captured their wedding, from the stunning ceremony at Patrice’s family church, St. Dominic Catholic Church to their Bently Reserve reception. Their reception venue is hailed for its opulence, so to add balance, Mango Muse Events and Violetta Flowers pulled in live trees, organic asymmetrical elements and garlands, and added meaningful orchids and roses (as an homage to family that had passed on). Of course, fun had to be had, so to kick off their reception, the newlyweds partnered up to do a medley dance that ended with hip hop. We love all of the injections of Patrice and Nick’s fun personalities and fascinating lives all throughout their big day.

After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.

Cody and Abby’s vision of a classic Lowcountry wedding came to life when they said their vows beneath the majestic oaks of Charleston’s beautiful Boone Hall Plantation. Their outdoor ceremony gave way to a celebration inside the Cotton Dock, where Beautiful Brides Events and The Purple Magnolia created an elegant atmosphere with glimmering chandeliers and swaths of greenery. Their perfect blend of rustic elegance was beautifully captured by Ava Moore Photography!

The historical Vinoy in St Petersburg is a throwback to old Florida, and a dreamy setting for a classic wedding! Michelle and Colton chose to hold their ceremony in the lush tea garden, its fountain dripping in garlands from Marigold Flower Co, and then treated their guests to a gorgeous reception in the ballroom, where the blush and gold palette beautifully balanced the architecture. From the letterpress invitations by Olivia Grace Paperie to the images captured on film by The Ganeys, every detail is timeless and chic!

With soft neutral hues and a spectacular beachside setting, Margaret Kyle and Kyle’s Charleston destination wedding is pure coastal elegance. The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding, and Margaret Kyle’s aunt and uncle were married at the Seabrook Island Club, and those fond memories translated into the perfect place to get married! Their vision of an understated but elegant look was brought to life by Lindsay Merhege of Fox Events. Tiger Lily Flowers designed florals that celebrated the neutral palette, with statement accents of greenery and a mixture of snowy white blooms. Chloe and Troy’s spring wedding oozes classic Washington DC charm! The couple worked with Roberts & Co. Events to celebrate Chloe’s hometown with an elegant soiree at the Carnegie Institution for Science. A color palette of blush and gold for the reception paired with a heavy dose of candlelight, and fun details such as a southern-inspired biscuit bar with fried chicken, jam, and butter insured a fantastic guest experience. Chloe even kept the best secret ever from her guests: the Washington Nationals Presidents visited for a raucous dance party! From the stir sticks featuring their pups to the stationery accented with dogwoods to represent Virginia, this is one DC event we won’t soon forget, and it’s all captured wonderfully by Kristen Gardner!

Susan and Riley fell in love with La Quinta, California on a post-engagement mini-moon, and knew it would be the perfect place to tie the knot! Working with All Things Extraordinary as they planned from afar in Chicago, they selected a private estate surrounded by mountains, palm trees, and cacti for their elegant “backyard” wedding with a buffet-style taco dinner! Their desert chic soiree was a three-day affair and the party carried all the way from the margarita karaoke welcome party by the pool to the spectacular reception where guests danced the night away under twinkle lights and the desert stars. Mix and match Jenny Yoo and Lulu’s bridesmaids dresses in a palette of sage and slate were a nod to the natural surroundings, and greenery garlands graced the long wood reception tables. Nestled in the middle of the Georgia woods, Berry College is a woodland wedding dreamland, and the moment that Brianna and Cody set eyes upon the locale, they knew it was perfect for their simple but classic wedding. The couple, who met in college in Chicago, wanted the wedding details to be intention and tell their story. The music selections were all reminiscent of moments throughout their relationship, from the soundtrack to “500 days of Summer” to music from the band they fell in love listening to, Fleet Foxes. Stylistically, Brianna wanted the wedding to reflect her love for greenery and gardening, and selected a palette of greens, cream, taupe, blush, and gold. Her bridesmaids donned blush frocks of their choosing, while Brianna selected a Rebecca Schoneveld gown with a lace bodice, paired with a classic sheer veil. We’re completely smitten with the beautiful Berry College backdrop, the vintage Ford, and this absolutely charming couple beautifully captured by Rustic White Photography!

Elizabeth and Alan were married on a picturesque autumn day amidst the rolling hills of Lexington, Kentucky. The Mansion at Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa provided the perfect backdrop to Elizabeth’s vision of a majestic and sophisticated wedding with an intimate dinner party atmosphere. Elizabeth and Alan designed many of the day’s elements themselves, staying true to their unique love and commitment. The wedding ceremony, written and designed by the couple, took place in front of the mansion beneath a white trellis assembled and decorated by Elizabeth. In fact, the bride along with friends and family created all of the tablescapes and decor elements using flowers from FiftyFlowers and Blooms by the Box! A color palette of blush and red tones beautifully complemented the antique grays and blues of the mansion décor. Elizabeth selected a spectacular, crystal-encrusted gown from BHLDN and custom-made veil, staying true to her vision of royal wedding elegance and echoing headpieces worn by the noble ladies of centuries past. A sensuous, feminine feel meets couture fashion in this spectacular fine art shoot inspired by Marie Antoinette from Lisa Blume Photography. Though you may think we’re transported to Paris, instead we’re in the heart of Washington DC at the Anderson House. This 50-room mansion is truly fit for a queen, and La Fleur du Jour used gold accents, lush florals, lavish desserts, and an abundance of accessories to enhance the setting’s European flair. Details such as an intricate antique ring box, vintage-inspired shoes, feathers, and lace transport you to another era, a time of decadent fashion and extravagant living. The stunning Cari Funkhouser dons couture gowns from Elie Saab, See by Chloe, and Modern Trousseau, and truly embodies the spirit of the ill-fated queen. And of course, there is cake. Fair warning: you may need to pick your jaw up off the floor after laying eyes on the exquisite images from Lisa Blume Photography!

Marisa and Sean fell in love with the views and airy ballroom of Pleasonton, California’s The Club at Ruby Hill at first sight, and it was a perfect choice for their summer wedding. A ceremony under the gorgeous outdoor trellis gave way to a chic blush and gold reception with pretty centerpieces by Katherine Bergman of roses and hydrangea. Marisa originally envisioned a form-fitting gown, but after trying on a stunning Pronovias ballgown, she knew it was “the one”, and Bo Lee Bridal added a custom sash to complete the look. We’re loving this sweet soiree and The Ganeys captured each moment to perfection!
