Intimate Wedding in the Arizona Desert

Sara and Conner met while were both were on vacation in Nashville. There was an instant connection, and after spending as much time together as possible during that trip, they began dating long distance and were married at Nashville’s Cedarwood just over a year later. Their festive, intimate dinner party was a nod to Sara’s Southern roots. Magnolia leaf place cards were set atop each place setting on long wooden tables where each flower was handpicked by the bride. The couple’s monogram was sprinkled throughout, even on the wreath above the historic home’s door. From their ceremony on the rolling hills of the estate to the reception glimmering with candlelight, we are smitten with this entire day, beautifully photographed by Erin Lee Allender!

Lake Tahoe was the perfect setting for Kacie and Austin to treat guests to an epic weekend celebration. The mountain destination played host to a Field Day for all ages, a lakeside “Something Blue” rehearsal dinner, and their stunning waterside wedding ceremony amongst the trees at West Shore Cafe & Inn Lake Tahoe. Bello & Blue Events worked with the couple to create a fabulous and colorful reception in shades of magenta and navy, with bold and beautiful flowers by Petal & Thread. Each place setting featured a laser cut place card and a fragrant cymbidium orchid, and lieu of favors, guests received a lovely welcome box including a customized candle with scent chosen by Austin, champagne with an aspen tree straw, and a hand-drawn painted map of Lake Tahoe. There’s so much to love in their gorgeous day, and we’re totally gushing over the images captured by Ether & Smith!

Kristi and Ryan’s beautiful garden-themed wedding was held at the picturesque Trilogy At Vistancia Kiva Club in Peoria, Arizona. The natural beauty of the location inspired the lush pastel color palette of the day. Working with Nicole Arend Wedding and Events, the couple brought to life the colors of a spring wonderland, with blush, lavender, and pale robin’s egg bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal and luscious garden arrangements from Ever After Florals, including a showstopping floral arch of hydrangea, garden roses, and swaths of eucalyptus. And, a seating chart on a faux greenery wall was the talk of the cocktail hour! Kristi is radiant in a Blush By Hayley Paige gown fit for a princess and flowing braided curls designed by Amanda Victoria Beauty. When asked to describe their wedding, Margaux and Mark’s instant sentiment was “heartwarming.” While they certainly filled their day with personal touches—including a custom monogram motif, Mark’s great-grandmother’s cake knives, and a menu hand-scripted by Margaux’s aunt—the wedding festivities, and being surrounded by their nearest and dearest, took center stage. Margaux is resplendent in a Pronovias gown and voluminous veil from Elizabeth Johns. For the cozy reception, Jennie from Love N’ Fresh Flowers created classic, seasonal arrangements in a mix of plum and winter white that accented the gilded ballroom of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey’s Ryland Inn. After a delicious sit-down dinner, guests danced the night away to the tunes of The Silk Band. An unexpected snowstorm the day prior set the stage for a bright and clear first day of spring, the perfect ambiance for each of the gorgeous images from Love Me Do Photography!

Lauren and Cheyne were married on a picture-perfect Arizona day at the gorgeous Encanterra Golf and Country Club. Their classic outdoor wedding was inspired by the architecture and beautiful surroundings of the venue. A neutral color palette of ivory, champagne, and gold was accented by accents of pale pink and peach, and Jenny Yoo ‘Annabelle’ gowns in a lovely shade of eggplant provided a vibrant pop of color! We adore the beautiful marigold calligraphy escort cards and menus from The Pretty Paperie Shop. Modern centerpieces from Designer Venues dressed the tables, and hand-painted wine bottle table numbers added a personal touch. Each image from Rachel Solomon is breathtaking!

Lucas and Brooke were married on a spectacular spring day in Arizona at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort. After saying “I Do” at sunset on the resort’s Lagoon Lawn, guests moved into the Palomino Ballroom for an elegant reception. The theme was “Manicured Rustic”, and the reception was a veritable wonderland with candlelight and a mix of jaw-dropping centerpieces from The Flower Studio which evoked the feel of a secret garden. We adore the color palette of cobalt blue, peach and gold, with wood accents to complement the garden feel. Amsale bridesmaids dresses in assorted silhouettes flattered each of the maids, while Brooke is resplendent in a Martina Liona gown from Mariee Bridal. Ashley Gain made sure the day ran without a hitch, and we are head over heels for the gorgeous images from Brushfire Photography!

Head-to-toe, start-to-finish, I absolutely adore Holly and Jeff’s Michigan lakefront wedding! A gorgeous venue, stunning florals, incredible accessories, all in a beautiful pink and gold color palette? 100% swoon. Now, sometimes it can be tricky to choose the right florals for a wedding at such a naturally beautiful venue, but the gorgeous rasbperry, coral, and blush arrangements by Amy Kate Designs are absolute perfection! Can we also stop for a moment and enjoy the beautiful and bold Amrita Singh necklaces on Holly’s bridesmaids? Such a fabulous choice, and a beautiful pairing for the detail in the neckline of Holly’s BHLDN gown. These marvelous photos by Amy Carroll Photography have absolutely made my day!

Ashley and Kevin’s wedding is so deliciously gorgeous, it’s hard to decide my favorite part! The celebration began with an outdoor garden ceremony at Aristide and then moved inside for a candlelit reception. Tables and decor were inspired by peacocks with a color palette of teal, aqua, and violet, and place settings even included a peacock feather tucked in the napkins! Centerpieces of flowering branches and white florals by Twigs were just the right amount of rustic and really made the colors of the linens and peacock details pop! I absolutely love Ashley’s beautiful Amsale gown and all these gorgeous photos by  Jessica D’Onofrio Photography!

Monique and Josh’s Scottsdale wedding was filled to the brim with soft, romantic, and elegant details. I can’t get over the breathtaking scenery, old-world charm, and incredible oversized doors of their venue, Montelucia. Monique’s Lazaro gown is swoon-worthy and the beautiful florals by Camelback Flower Shop are the perfect mix of elegance and romance in beautiful pinks and whites. Kristen and Daniel’s wedding day was filled to the brim with festivities and honored each of their family’s cultures with two separate wedding ceremonies! The celebration began with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony where the bride and groom served tea to each set of parents to show their respect and gratitude. Later in the day, Kristen changed from her vibrant red gown to a romantic lace BHLDN gown for a Jewish ceremony under a stunning chuppah decorated with blush, peach, and ivory roses and peonies by Holly Chapple Flowers. They ended the evening with dinner, dancing, and even a sparker send-off filled with cheers from all their closest friends and family. Almost instantly, a wedding in Washington, DC has visions of ultimate grandeur. Jen and Nick wed in the early spring at the Four Seasons and they left no stone unturned when it came to the ins and outs of their wedding design. Jen’s favorite blooms are the ever-stunning and lush magnolias and with that color inspiration as their jumping point, they coveted a white/ivory and green wedding with gold accents. Florist Amy from Amy Lauren Floral Designs expressed and continued the color palette by using sumptuous white peonies and white roses along with the glossy magnolia leaves. This wedding has too many impeccable elements to it, both in design and in personality. We’re just glad that Kristen Gardner captured all the splendor in full!

We love this absolutely classic féte hailing from an illustrious museum in our nation’s capital today. This Washington DC wedding was photographed by one of our favorites, Lisa Blume, and it is elegant and so special and timeless. According to Kelly, she couldn’t take her mind off of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’s design and sweetly, how she could picture traipsing down the staircase to meet her dear dad at the bottom to walk her down the aisle to her beau Jamie (tears!). Speaking of tears, we had to mention this touching detail. Kelly needed to have her grandmothers there in some way, so to commemorate these wonderful women in her life, she shipped in two paintings from North Carolina of them and had her grandmother’s tea cup in her bridal suite. Endearingly, the teacup was a gift her grandmother gave to her sister for her wedding.

If you could imagine what a down home southern wedding would look like with a healthy serving of sophistication, we think it’s Shannon and Christian’s wedding, hands down. Our hats are off to Molliner Photography for capturing the sumptuous images we get to share with all of you. This Jekyll Island fête is one for the Pinterest boards (and don’t be afraid to add all of the images!). It’s draped in neutrals galore; set against the couple’s picture-perfect venue, Crane Cottage; and the blooms by Straton Hall Events are stellar. We can just imagine dancing the night away under the mesh of the palmetto and oak trees. It’s giving us all the heart eyes, y’all!

After Jessica and Zach got engaged, they sweetly joined Jessica’s parents on a trip to DC to celebrate their wedding anniversary. One of their excursions there was to take a walk on the grounds where her parents held their wedding ceremony, the National Cathedral. Naturally, they were so smitten with the gardens and the buildings that once they found out the Gothic-style cathedral was now hosting wedding receptions in addition to ceremonies, the New Yorkers jumped on the chance to get married there. Jessica wanted an “elegant and ethereal” day so with the help of Caroline Dutton Events and Kate & Lilly Floral Design, they drew inspiration from the Bishop’s Garden on the grounds. With Audra Wrisley capturing all the pretty pale pink roses, peonies, greenery, and everything in between, the duo said their I do’s and partied the night away in one of the most amazing venues we’ve seen.

Dana and Steven were married at the historic Tranquility Farm in Purceville, Virginia. The beautiful vineyards and rolling hills were the perfect backdrop for their day. Stunning florals and greenery by Colleen Rogin West complimented the flora and fauna of the estate perfectly! Dana was stunning in her Maggie Sottero lace gown, while her bridesmaids donned pale blue chiffon bridesmaids gowns. We simply adore all of the sophisticated rustic details and the beautiful imagery from Nikki Santerre Photography!

Melissa and Travis always knew they wanted a small wedding. Their intimate dinner at Winston-Salem’s Spring House Restaurant ticked every box: a timeless and elegant setting, unforgettable food and drink, and treasured personal details. Melissa stayed true to her initial vision of a neutral palette with sophisticated hints of metallics. Amy Lynne Originals designed lush, clustered centerpieces of calla lilies, roses, peonies, lisianthus, hydrangea, and ranunculus, paired with a sea of candles in glass cylinders. The linens—handmade in India and passed down through Melissa’s aunt—were sheer with gold threading and beading, adding just the right hint of sparkle. From the custom cocktails honoring the couple’s two pups to the beautiful images captured on film by Red Boat Photography, this entire wedding is not to be missed!

Chloe and Troy’s spring wedding oozes classic Washington DC charm! The couple worked with Roberts & Co. Events to celebrate Chloe’s hometown with an elegant soiree at the Carnegie Institution for Science. A color palette of blush and gold for the reception paired with a heavy dose of candlelight, and fun details such as a southern-inspired biscuit bar with fried chicken, jam, and butter insured a fantastic guest experience. Chloe even kept the best secret ever from her guests: the Washington Nationals Presidents visited for a raucous dance party! From the stir sticks featuring their pups to the stationery accented with dogwoods to represent Virginia, this is one DC event we won’t soon forget, and it’s all captured wonderfully by Kristen Gardner!

Brynn and Justin chose the spectacular views of downtown Orlando’s Dr Phillips Center to play host to their chic and classic Florida wedding! Their vision of an open, airy wedding was brought to life in the majestic floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city! Justin (whom according to Brynn is the fashionista in the relationship!) donned his Navy uniform for the ceremony, then changed into a sleek royal blue suit for the reception. A wedding party in pink Sorella Vita dresses accented the blue perfectly. Tickled Pink Brides worked with the couple to make sure their wedding day ran flawlessly, and Peddles created tall but simple centerpieces to fill up the room with its high ceilings. These two are so in love and every moment (including the adorable family time with their pups Lyric and Hudson) was beautifully captured by Kristen Weaver Photography!

When you combine the rolling hills of the Edna Valley with an evening dinner party celebrating true love, you have a truly magical day! Elizabeth and River selected the Center of Effort Winery for their Central California wedding, and chose a color palette of shades of of blue and purple, which made the rugged backdrop even more beautiful! Vanessa Noel Events worked with the couple to design an event full of unique details: the seating chart was displayed on lanterns, textured blue velvet linens from La Tavola Linen graced the farmhouse tables, and a fabulous dessert table from Paper Cake Events with woodland florals by Noonan’s Wine Country Designs was a showstopping addition to the intimate outdoor affair.
