Clean and Classic Waterside Wedding

Eleanor says “From the moment we got engaged, we realized it was most important that our wedding be classic, elegant, but crazy fun.” We couldn’t agree with her sentiment more! From Eleanor’s classic Peter Langner gown to the chic, nautical location of Narragansett, Rhode Island’s The Dunes Club, the wedding came together perfectly within their vision. Ellie and Tim infused personal details into every aspect of their nuptials. The ceremony was held at Brown University (Eleanor’s alma mater), Tim and his groomsmen wore custom ties from The Knotty Tie with anchors and the state of Wisconsin (to blend their East Coast and Midwest families), and the couple enlisted Kearsley Lloyd to create a custom monogram and Sharon Morgera to design their wedding map. Bridesmaids dresses by Monique Lhuillier and soft pastel florals by Stoneblossom echo the seaside setting. We are smitten with each image from Erin McGinn!

From the bride:

Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect, warm and beautifully clear for a September day in New England. From the first look, the short and personal ceremony where we said the same vows my parents said 36 years earlier, to the gorgeous outdoor cocktail hour and the rocking night with the band, we couldn’t have asked for a better day officially become man and wife.

We wanted the wedding to be elegant and fun but not stuffy. I couldn’t imagine my dad walking me down the aisle in anything but a tux but we didn’t want the wedding to be black tie, so I set about designing a tie that would go well with the tuxes, but also be fun. We landed on a mint bowtie with alternating images of the state of Wisconsin and anchors – a nod to both of our beloved home states. From my very classic dress to the fun bow ties, the wedding came together just as we imagined, with so much help from my mom and our amazing vendors. Everything was the happiest blur I can imagine.
